My wife and I had such a great time! We had never been on Segways before. We met the guide, Nathan, and one other couple. Nathan gave us a quick demonstration, answered all of our questions and, after a few minutes to practice in the adjoining parking lot, we were off! The Segway is such a great way to experience St. Pete. We saw a lot more than we expected to be covered in two hours. Nathan was a great tour guide, sharing background about the buildings, parks, venues, and even trees along the way. This was a great way to spend a morning of our vacation and a great value for the money. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting St. Pete.

We had a great time Sunday on our Segway tour with Brian. We had our 10-year old grandson and there were two other boys his age with their grandpa and he was great with everyone. The boys did well with the Segways and although Brian kept the boys in check, he also gave them room to really enjoy themselves. Along with his great attitude, he has a lot of knowledge regarding the area. We loved it!

Really great fun. Our guide Ryan was easy going and very friendly. We are locals so not much of a "tour" needed but it was fantastic to ride the length of the river, something most people don't do in one day. The Segways feel natural after the first five minutes and it's a blast to ride them. My 18 and 15 year old sons loved it as much as us. We'll be back.

Most likely one of the coolest things we have done this vacation so far! This is hands down one of the best. We had a day in Tampa since we leave on a cruise tomorrow. ( today) We naturally wanted to find something fun to do. Low cost Outside Touristy. We were fortunate and lucked into getting the tour from the owner Geoff. Super down to earth and chill. The site says the tour lasts between 1.5 -2 hours. Dude def spun us for 3hours. He said the weather was so great he had to. None of us were in a hurry...score! There were 6 segwayers and our Guide. He instructed us clearly, and answered any questions and we were off. We cruised downtown Tampa, a Riverwalk area, a local college, eateries, and even a bathroom break. He took photos etc. Do not skip this. There are other tours...NO WAY THEY MATCH UP TO THESE GUYS!

I would recommend this tour to anyone! Our guide, Colin, was awesome! He was very knowledgeable about St. Petersburg and truly made this a fun and memorable experience for us.

I had a good time on our tour today! J.P. was our tour guide, and was super friendly, professional (but not to stuffy), and very knowledgeable. It was beautiful outside, not too hot, and not too cold. Sunny, with just enough overcast provide the occasional shade. We started the day at Channelside, and cruised down the river walk, making a few spots along the way. We stopped for breaks, photo opportunities, and for J.P. to occasionally school us on some Tampa history. We continued past Curtis Hixon Park, across the river via Cass St, and on to the University of Tampa campus, stopping at the Henry Plant Museum. After a short break, & a couple more sites, we headed back across the river via Kennedy Blvd, then back to Channelside. If you're not familiar with this area, that route will make no sense to you whatsoever. Let's just say it's a nice, hour plus, riverfront path with lots of beautiful sights to see. The best part, segways take little-to-no effort to operate. J.P. is a great trainer, and can have you operating one like a pro in a matter of minutes. The only negative of the whole experience was the booking process. There were several Groupon offers for segways. I tried to call and get clarification, but received a voicemail instead. I received a return phone call shortly after, it was the owner. He was super short, acted like he wanted to rush me off the phone, and to be honest, a little rude. I get it, he's busy. But, he needs to realize the customer is paying his bills. If I had to deal with him another two minutes, I probably would have booked with another company. Thankfully, he has nothing to do with the tour portion. Overall, it was a great experience!

We had a wonderful time exploring downtown Tampa. We had our kids and our parents all together and everyone had a wonderful experience. Our guide helped us all feel very comfortable on the Segways and we were able to see so much of the city! We did the sunset cruise and it was so cool to see the city in the sunset and all the people out enjoying the beautiful weather. Would definitely do it again!

This is my second time using this company for a Segway tour. This time we did the St Pete tour with Jesse. He was so great and worked great with my 14 year old son. Jesse knee a lot about the area and made the experience top notch.

Joe did an awesome tour for us on January 19. He started us early and had a lot of great info. He was very entertaining, and my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. I had never been on a Segway before. It was an absolute blast and I can't wait to do this again. Try this - you won't be sorry!

DONT MAKE THE TRIP...... so after traveling almost an hour to the location I was greeted by a teenager who told me that it MIGHT rain so they had cancelled the tour for the day..... that's right despite me showing up 25 minutes early and this company having my phone number and e-mail address ZERO COMMUNICATION until I'm standing in their lobby. Mr Teenager said we tried calling you, my response here is my phone show me a missed call or voicemail but don't insult me by lying to my face!!!! Our tour was scheduled for 1:30 and as you can see by the picture the sky's were clear as I type this review it's currently 2:50 NOT A DROP OF RAIN. Meanwhile the director sits off site without a clue and the teenage kid is sitting in their office with one of his buddies on the couch

As there is a minimum of 2 people required for the tour and I was a single rider, looking out a distance to book didn’t work so I ended up booking the evening before which already had others booked in meant I could book 1 space rather than 2, weekends I guess might help with having more people interested. The Riverwalk is perfect for riding along and we got to see a few spots we hadn't visited before...planning to go back to Armature Works next time we're in town. Brian gave us a good overview of how to handle the Segways which two of us had used prior and the other two were brand new to. He had good area recommendations and showed us a super cool info board that takes pictures that you can text right to your phone. Offered to take other shots for us in several places as well as anytime we asked. Danny was awesome and amazing from start to finish in helping us learn the basics and showing us around. We went through the entire riverwalk and back with hardly any difficulty. The only thing I would say is definitely wear comfortable shoes because your feet will feel numb after a while due to the pressure. Eduardo was our guide & was terrific! He was patient & thorough in showing everyone the ropes for riding the Segway safely while still having fun. And he made sure everyone was able to keep up by making short, quick stops along the way to give us snippets of Tampa Bay & local history. If we return to Tampa in the future I'd likely do the tour again just to see the progress & changes (positive ones!) currently taking place in the downtown area. Hello, I'm  Doo! I am the owner & operator of Doo's Amazing Tours, The original and oldest running Tour company in the area. I opened back in 2012, focusing only on giving the most Amazing Tours to my guest!  Located in beautiful Historic Downtown St. Petersburg, Fl. We offer a variety of Tours by Appointment only.

Tours we offer, segway tours.

    1 Hour Scenic Segway Tour : goes approximately 5 miles along the beautiful waterfront and endless parks. You will be viewing a variety of museums, yacht basins and restaurants while taking in the natural beauty of plants and animals. We will pass through the Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum which has been there since 1976 and view over 500 different species of palm trees in this 2 acre park. We are always on the look out for dolphins, manatees and other wildlife! 

$60 per person  

         2 Hour Historic Segway Tour : goes approximately 8 miles total.  First going 3 miles into the city and then 5 miles along the waterfront and beautiful endless parks. We will take a short break at the Salvador Dali Museum and have a sip of water from the Fountain of Youth. You will learn all about the city's founding fathers and famous pilots which lead to the 1920s boom which can be seen in some of our architecture.  After your Segway Tour you will get to go into the Museum of History and look around at your own pace (admission included). You will be able to see the Worlds Largest Autographed baseball collection with 5,036, indexed city photographs, 32,000 artifacts and other historic photos and documents. This tour tends to be out most popular choice because of all the historical information you will get about our city!

 $70 per person

           2.5 Hour Eco Segway Tour : goes approximately 12 miles total though the parks and along the waterfront and then we will Segway through 1920s Old Northeast neighborhood as we head to Sunken Gardens (admission included). Where we will park the Segways and then walk through 4 acres of a lush botanical garden. You will see 20 Chilean Flamingos, parrots, macaws, tortoises and feed the Koi fish. Your tour guide will be pointing out all the flora and fauna along the way. Sunken Gardens is the oldest living museum, 100 years old and offers more than 50,000 tropical plants and flowers. 

So you will be on the Segway approximately 2 hours and walking in the garden for about 30 minutes. 

  $85 per person

  On all Segway Tours you will have:

  Segway i2 

free admission (Historic and Eco Tours)

   20 minute hands on training prior to tour

   personal headset receiver

   helmet, bottle of water, sunscreen and bug spray

Requirements:

MUST have an appointment

MUST be at least 11 years old

         MUST weigh at least 100-300 lbs

           MUST watch Segway safety video

           MUST be able to safely operate the             Segway during training. 

  *Required Height 3'11" - 6'6"

Meet in front of the Museum of History, 335 2nd Ave NE 33701. Parking meters and a variety of parking lots available within 1 to 2 blocks of the museum.

PRESERVE BIKE TOUR

If the fast pace of the Downtown area is not for you and prefer a natural oasis in the middle of this growing city away from cars and traffic.  Then this tour is for you. Surrounded by Florida's native flora amd fauna. You will be guided by a knowledgeable and experienced tour guide on mountain bikes through 3 miles of trails and boardwalks while seeing 5 ecosystems! You will enjoy 245 acres of uninterrupted preserved habitat along Lake Maggiore's shore line. There is an aviary with live birds of prey ranging from the Bald Eagle, Red Tailed Hawk, Red Shoulder Hawk, Screech Owls, Barred Owls, Northern Crested Caracara and many more! You will also being seeing American Alligators, tortoises, turtles, Ospreys, Cormorants, Anhingas, and a vast variety of butterflies. After the bike tour take some time and explore the education center. 

$65 per person

standard 26" mountain bikes available in male/female frames. We also have two 29" mountain bikes available as well as one 24" mountain bike. 

On the Preserve Bike Tour you will have:

MUST be at least 5' tall or able to ride a Standard bike.

Please notify us prior to appointment if you will need a larger or smaller bike than 26" and will do our best to accommodate.

PADDLE BOARD TOUR

Enjoy 2 hours of paddle boarding in beautiful Coffee Pot Bayou. You will be seeing our local wildlife as you float along side a historic neighborhood set in 1920s and enjoy the vast array of architecture of homes set in this tranquil bayou. We will be seeing Bird Island up close and enjoy watching and listening to 30 different species of birds. We will also be looking for dolphins and manatees since they are frequently seen.

On the Paddle Board Tour you will have:

10'6" soft top paddle board

life vest, paddle, bottle water, sunscreen and bug spray

MUST be at least 13 years old

   MUST weigh less than 270 lbs
