Selena Gomez announces her UK and Ireland Revival tour dates

She lands in the UK this winter.

Get ready - Selena Gomez is coming to the UK.

The singer has announced a string of European dates for her Revival  world tour.

Selena hits Manchester on November 2 before moving to London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

She'll also bring the show to Dublin on November 8.

"I've put my heart into making this tour something very special. I cannot wait to travel through Europe and see everyone," said Selena.

Tickets for the show go on sale from 9am on Friday, April 29 and will be priced at £45-£50.

Revival became the 'Hands to Myself' star's second US number one album when it was released back in October.

Selena will play the following UK and Irish dates:

• November 3 - Manchester, Manchester Arena
• November 4 - London, O2 Arena
• November 6 - Birmingham, Genting Arena
• November 8 - Dublin, 3Arena
• November 10 - Glasgow, SSE Hydro

The songstress has just confirmed the below dates for later this year:

3 – Manchester Arena 4 – London, The O2 6 – Birmingham, Genting Arena 8 – Dublin, 3Arena 10 – Glasgow, SSE Hydro

The Revival tour will see Selena Gomez hit the road in support of her most recent record of the same name.

I went to see Selena Gomez on the night of July 23, 2016. I got tickets of festival A, which was the most front section. Before the show started, I waited outside of the venue, lining up for around 5 hours, and when they let us in, we had to wait for another 2 hours until Selena appears on stage. I was really happy to know that I was VERY close to Selena, and I couldn't believe that she was standing RIGHT THERE in front of me.

The crowd was intense. When the show had really started, my section just went crazy like waves in the ocean. We all went pushing each other from left to right, right to left, front to back, and back to front. It was difficult for me to find for air. But as soon as Selena was done singing Revival, which was her opening song, the crowd sort of calmed down a bit and I was able to catch my breath. And I was also able to see Selena standing right in front me, clearly.

Selena has a way of performing that could engage her audience to sing and dance along with her. I can tell that the audience had a very strong connection with her while she was performing. The stage set was beautiful. Selena's live voice was beautiful. I really enjoyed what she did for us, together with her band, back-up singers, and especially, her dancers.

My most favourite performances that night was Kill Em With Kindness, Love You Like A Love Song, and Nobody. Honestly, those songs were performed better live than the studio versions, especially LYLALS.

I was really grateful to be able to see her perform live, after more than 6 years of waiting. It was definitely worth the wait.

Selena Gomez is a new artist for me but once I got the chance to go to one of her shows she quickly became one of my favorite singers.

Now I see why so many people scream Selena and follow her around to see her shows. She is such a cute girl and I'm so happy for her and the fame she has come into. She has so many fans who genuinely love her and the music that she sings.

My children now love her as well. When she is coming to town they must go and see her. I think she has a positive message and stands for something good. Her music is catchy and upbeat. I catch myself dancing around at the concert too even though my kids fully enjoy it. They laugh seeing their old mom have fun too. I will continue to take them to see Selena because I think her music is good.

The performance is a plus in my book. I appreciate them for the show they put on too. She's young and full of energy and she makes me feel young again. I just loved the whole night and will go again. Thanks Selena for a great night.

July 9th 2016 Revival Tour Aneheim, California

Concert was absolutely amazing. I went to the stadium at 05:00am and waited thirteen hours to get into the stadium (my friends and I had GA which was right next to the stage). The wait was so worth it, we got first row, and just seeing her so close was everything. She is such an amazing performer and she sang a song that was not on her setlist with Charlie Puth (We Don't Talk Anymore). Her dancers are probably the best dancers I have ever seen. The stage setup was simple, but exquisite. She is such a beautiful person to watch perform. The only thing I wish she would have done, is sang some of her OLDER songs. She sang some from her past albums, but those were all singles. I would have loved it if she sang some songs from her first album (Kiss and Tell). But that is a personal preference. Her overall performance was so spectacular, and she delivered 472910%.

I really enjoy the show. It was my second show of Selena Gomez and it was as good as the first time. The guests before the show was WoW. In addition, we had the chance to see Joe Jonas closely because he went into the bench . Best Show EVER

Selena Gomez's concert was a success. I was waiting all long to go to her concert and I was really happy/exited to look at her so going in person!! I was so omg I can't even describe it with words but if you are planning on going to her concert please go it would be a night you would never forgot!! I love Selena Gomez so much!!

It was awesome!!! I had such a great time and the intro artists were really good!! I have been waiting for this moment since I was 7, and to actually see her live was one amazing!!! She was really good and the dancers were cool!!! And so was the sets and all that!! I will definitely go to another one of her concerts!!!

It was lit. That word is so overused but it's the first word that comes to mind when I describe my concert experience. Seeing her in concert was life-changing. I danced all night, sang my heart out, at the end of the night I was sore but it was worth it. Definitely one of the best performers out there.

It was amazing I cried when I saw her. I waned to go to her concert for years. I was 5 when I first started listing to her. I am 13 now. It was cool how she took someones phone in the audience because they were on Skype. So she said Hi to the person. Someday I will meet her face to face.

absolutely loved her show! definetly worth my money. she looked gorgeous and her voice felt like heaven in my ears. her performance was amazing. it was one of the best concerts I have ever been too. a great family show and I'm certain I will go to another one of her concerts

Did Selena Gomez Just Reveal She’s Touring This Year?

Calling all Selenators! This is not a drill: Selena Gomez just seemingly dropped a major hint at an upcoming tour through a fan interaction online. This tour would mark her first since her Revival tour in 2016, which she  cut short . 

After confirming that she was working on new music, Gomez apparently surprised her fans, who had anticipated her return to the music stage. One fan page published  an Instagram post  with Selena’s past tour looks with the caption: “Selena Gomez on tour (part 1).” To their surprise, the “Come & Get It” singer replied: “Can’t wait for tour 😍.” Afterward, she left another comment: “Should I go this year or next? Feel like I should wait.”

Needless to say, fans are ecstatic with the thought of Gomez gracing the stage again to perform. A Twitter user  wrote : “The new Selena Gomez comments about going on Tour it’s what keeps me alive.” Another Twitter user  wrote : “Wey, if Selena Gómez does a tour and comes to Mexico, I’ll sell my life to the highest bidder… “pero de que voy a verla la voy a ir a ver (but if I’m going to see her, I’m going to see her).”

As far as music goes, her latest music release was “My Mind & Me,”  alongside her intimate documentary.  She also released “Calm Down,” a collaboration with Rema in 2022. Her last EP release was the Spanish-language  Revelación  in 2021, and her last album was  Rare  in 2020.

In an  interview  last year, she said: “I’m open to a tour, one thousand percent, but I obviously have obligations and things I wanna do, so when the time’s right. It’s not [at] the top of my priority list.”

Is the actress and singer finally ready to give it a go? Whether or not she’s going on tour this year, we’re excited to listen to any new music she has planned. We’ll keep an eye out for further details.

Celebrity friendships don’t get cuter than Selena Gomez third wheeling couple besties Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham .

The trio, with Selena healing from a broken hand , headed on a night out to see pop legend Beyonce perform on her Renaissance Tour in Los Angeles.

Queen Bey’s arrival at the SoFi stadium has seen famous faces rush to see her perform, including Prince Harry  and  Meghan Markle  who was dancing her heart out.

Selena posted a video of the Peltz-Beckhams and herself watching the show with the Only Murders in the Building star grinning from ear to ear.

The 31-year-old recently had to delete a social media post about the comedy drama as it was accused of breaking SAG-AFTRA strike rules .

Her little sister Gracie Elliot Teefey, 10, also joined them with Brooklyn adorably dancing with his arms around her shoulders as they sung along to the show.

Gracie also featured in a selfie posted by Selena on her story, sat in between Nicola, 28, and the Single Soon singer rocking a mirrorball style cowboy hat.

Selena is incredibly close to her half sister, posting a pouty picture with just her and often bringing the youngster on trips with the Peltz-Beckhams.

Clearly, Gracie is also close to the couple as she actually cut Brooklyn’s hair not too long ago, giving the photographer-turned-chef a buzzcut .

Last year, the Rare Beauty founder and Nicola began posting each other on social media and have become fast friends.

They even joked that they are a ‘throuple’, a relationship consisting of three people, to highlight how close they all are.

While it’s not thought the relationship is romantic, Nicola did post a cute snap of Selena hugging Brooklyn, 24, around the waist smiling for the camera.

‘I love my husband and my wife,’ wrote the Bates Motel actress with heart and laughing emojis.

Nicola and Brooklyn wed last year at a lavish ceremony in Florida, having confirmed their romance just two years before.

The Peltz-Beckhams aren’t the only famous friends Selena has, with the Me and My Mind singer forming a close friendship with Taylor Swift over a decade ago.

She recently revealed that her favourite era is 1989, which is set to be re-released this October – we’re praying for a collaboration.

Luckily for the gig-goers at last night’s Renaissance Tour concert, Beyonce did not have to storm off due to any technical faults unlike previous nights.

The sound completely cut out during her track Alien Superstar, resulting in the diva exiting the stage before returning to finish her set.

Beyonce’s tour is set to come to an end on October 1, in Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium after 56 shows worldwide.

Then: an explosion of rainbow lighting effects, tie-dye orbs, and wholesome bits — for “Paradise,” Martin asked the audience to engage in the “quietest singalong ever,” chanting the title in a whisper.

In one moment, he participated in a gender reveal — a couple handed him an envelope, which he opened for the cameras — blue for boy. In another, he read some of the signs held high above heads in the crowd before inviting two girls from Mexico on stage to sing “Let Somebody Go.” When he was handed a small stool, he joked, “We're the most popular soft rock band in the world and we can't afford a stool?”

“This song you've chosen, we used to play it a bit, but we, when we recorded it, we recorded it with Selena Gomez ,” Martin told the two girls. They sang together, before Gomez herself emerged from the stage below for her verse. Then, opener H.E.R. joined and played guitar — an unexpected surprise for a glorious final night.

Elsewhere, the virtuosity of the band as apparent. Drummer Will Champion sang while leading the percussion; guitarist Jonny Buckland and bassist Guy Berryman took turns playing keys and synths. For a band that formed 26 years ago, there was a sense that this was a full-circle moment — that they still remember those early days of cigarettes and writing together in small practice spaces, and that allows them the ability to see their future.

The overarching sentiment for the night, of course, was empathy. Martin ran around with a trans-inclusive rainbow pride flag and routinely reminded the audience that “everyone is an alien somewhere,” as his graphic t-shirt read. Routinely, he spoke in Spanish and asked the audience to sing in Korean for the BTS collaboration, “My Universe.”

At the end of the show: a killer series of singles, including “A Sky Full of Stars,” “Fix You” and an acoustic encore of “Magic.” Then, fireworks. There is a reason is a band beloved around the world — after the encore, Coldplay played the audience out with “Believe in Love,” a welcome reminder.

Selena Gomez hopes to release new music in 2023.

The former child star's last studio album was 2020's 'Rare', while last year she put out the Spanish language collection 'Revelación', and the 'Come and Get' hitmaker has hinted that she'll return with more tunes next year.

Asked when fans can expect new music, she told Variety at the 'Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me' premiere at the AFI Festival on Wednesday (02.11.22): “Hopefully next year.”

The 30-year-old singer-and-actress also teased that it's about time she played some shows for her fans.

Asked about a tour, she replied: “Maybe! I know. I should, right?”

Last year, Selena vowed to never quit music, despite previously saying she was considering retiring from music as she didn't feel like she was being taken seriously.

She said at the time: "It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously.

"I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, 'What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?' 'Lose You to Love Me' I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people it still wasn’t enough. I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I’m so thankful, for that I keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different. I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music."

Speaking about her tell-all documentary, which debuts on Apple TV+ on Friday (04.11.22), she told the publication: “By being fully honest and transparent about what I walked through, there’s nothing that they can say that honestly will affect me."

Selena Gomez Says New Album Won't Have Sad Songs: "It Just Doesn't Match Where I Am"

New Selena Gomez music has arrived! On Aug. 25, the 31-year-old singer dropped her highly-anticipated song, "Single Soon," and it's definitely the perfect track to wrap up summer. In the accompanying video — which pays tribute to Sarah Jessica Parker 's "Sex and the City" character, Carrie Bradshaw — Gomez is shown having a fun night out on the town with her girlfriends after breaking up with her partner.

On June 13, the singer teased her fourth album in a series of black and white photos that pictured her behind a mic. "Don't worry guys, it's coming. Even from Paris," Gomez captioned an Instagram carousel, hinting that new music was on the way . She finally confirmed speculation on Aug. 17 when she announced her next single. She wrote on Instagram , "Y'all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I'm not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that's perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Presave it now. 😘." It's unclear if "Single Soon" will appear on her upcoming album "SG3," a follow-up to 2020's "Rare."

Gomez previously discussed her many projects in a May 2022 appearance on the " Crew Call " podcast with " Only Murders in the Building " cocreator John Hoffman. During the interview, Gomez revealed that her return to television — including her role on the murder-mystery series and hosting gig on " Selena + Chef " — hasn't stopped her from creating new music. She said, "I just finished season four of my cooking show and I am in LA working on my album now."

"I'm so used to writing sad-girl songs because I'm good at that, but I'm ready to have some fun, and I think people are going to like it."

In July 2022, Gomez teased fans by sharing a TikTok video of herself in the recording studio. "New," she captioned it. A few months later, in December 2022, Gomez made an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," where she confirmed fan speculation about her upcoming album. "Mm-hmm, that's accurate. Finally," she replied when Fallon asked if her "My Mind & Me" single was an indication of new music to come. "I'm so used to writing sad-girl songs because I'm good at that, but I'm ready to have some fun, and I think people are going to like it." Gomez also revealed that she's been hard at work in the studio at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

In 2021, Gomez hinted at "retiring" from music to give herself an opportunity to pursue other passions. "I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I'm so thankful, for that I keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it'll be different," Gomez said in her Vogue 2021 cover story. "I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music."

The forthcoming album will be Gomez's first solo release since her 2021 Spanish EP, "Revelación." In August 2020, the singer also released an "Ice Cream" collab with K-pop giant Blackpink. She followed the sweet single with "999," a 2021 collab with Camilo, and " Let Somebody Go ," a 2022 collab with Coldplay. With so many great musical partnerships under her belt, we fully expect some badass artists to land features on the new album.

During the "Crew Call" interview, D'Alessandro also questioned whether Gomez would consider a singing scene in "Only Murders in the Building," to which the star replied, "I want to be kind of careful. I love being Mabel and I love that she's an extension of me but she isn't necessarily me. Sometimes my worry — not to say that I'm opposed to it in any way, shape, or form — is that it might turn into a pop-star thing, and that's clearly not me. [But] I'm not opposed."

What Is Selena Gomez's Fourth Album About?

Gomez has yet to reveal a tracklist, but she did share that the new album won't have any sad songs on it. "I don't mean that in a way of like everything is not full of meaning because I think even the most pop-y songs can have heart and I want that to come across," Gomez said during an August 2023 appearance on "SiriusXM Hits 1 LA With Tony Fly and Symon" (via Access Hollywood ). "But I genuinely don't feel like I have anything in me to write something negative. It just doesn't match where I am anymore, and I live in sad-girl music world. I love that and I'll write that music all the time, but I just felt like that album shouldn't be that."

The singer's past works, including "Lose You to Love Me," have famously touched on her love life. The title track on her third studio album, "Rare," expanded on the topic by giving insight into Gomez's mental well-being surrounding her relationships.

Since the album's debut in January 2020, Gomez — who regularly makes fun of herself for being single on TikTok — has become increasingly active in the mental health sphere. On April 4, 2022, she launched her mental health platform, Wondermind , with her mom, Mandy Teefey. A month later, the singer also joined Dr. Jill Biden on a panel at the White House Mental Health Youth Action Forum . With Gomez's past accomplishments in mind, her new album might be the feel-good, pump-up playlist we've been waiting for.

Gomez hasn't shared many details about her upcoming album, so the official title may still be in the works. Historically, two of her three albums, "Rare" and "Revival" — as well as her Spanish EP, "Revelación" — began with an "R." While the initials could be a coincidence, Gomez could complete the studio album trifecta with a third "R" album.

Gomez has not announced an official release date for her fourth studio album, however, in her August 2023 interview with "SiriusXM Hits 1 LA With Tony Fly and Symon," Gomez said she's "nearly wrapping up the album."

In 2013, the singer dropped her debut album, "Stars Dance," followed by "Revival" two years later in 2015 and her album, "Rare," five years later in 2020. With no strict pattern to her album drops, Gomez's newest release could be on hold for a while. Given that "S4" is still in the recording stages, we have our fingers crossed that we can expect the new album sometime in 2023.

Is Selena Gomez Going on Tour?

During her "Crew Call" interview in 2022, Gomez explained that she's considering a tour to accompany her upcoming album but plans to prioritize other projects in the meantime. "I am open to a tour, a thousand percent, but I obviously have obligations and things I wanna do, so when the time's right," she said. "It's not the top of my priority list." Not a yes, but not a no. With the album still in development, a nationwide tour might still be in the cards.

Ever since Selena Gomez first teased that she was recording a brand new album, fans have been desperate to hear it. Since she released 'Rare' in 2020, Selena has dropped a Spanish EP ('Revelacion') and multiple standalone singles (' Single Soon ', ' Love On ') but an album is yet to be announced. She's also returned to acting starring in Only Murders in the Building .

Now, Selena has updated fans on when we might get to hear new music from her and it's not looking good for Selenators.

Selena Gomez hits the Cannes Film Festival red carpet

Speaking to Variety ahead of the release of Only Murders in the Building season 4, Selena was asked about new music and essentially revealed that she has no plans to release anything at the moment. Referring to her acting career, Selena said: "I’m in love with this right now. I’m enjoying this."

This isn't the first time that Selena has suggested she might put her music career on hold either. Speaking to Vogue in 2021, Selena said: "I want to give [music] one last try before I maybe retire music..[I want to] give myself a real shot at acting."

Talking on the Smartless podcast in January, Selena said: "I never really intended on being a singer full-time but apparently that hobby turned into something else. I don’t think I’m the best singer - but I do know how to tell stories."

Selena later clarified with Rolling Stone : "I love film. I love TV. I just feel like I have not done a lot of the things that I want to do in that space. It’s not ‘no, never’ [to music], it’s more that I would like to explore [acting] more."

While it sounds like Selena is putting the breaks on music for now, she did release 'Single Soon' last August and a new song called 'Love On' in February. She later told Billboard that both 'Single Soon' and 'Love On' might not even be part of SG3.

She explained: "I would like to say that am working towards an album. I feel like I’m brewing and I’m in the process of really creating some great songs, hopefully. I don’t know if they would fit with what I’m gonna go with."

After press for Only Murders in the Building season 4 wraps, Selena is set to promote her award-winning film Emilia Pérez and the upcoming Wizards of Waverly Place spin-off Wizards Beyond Waverly Place .

Whether or not Selena finishes her album after that or simply moves on to her next acting project is yet to be seen.

With Selena set to play Linda Rondstadt in a new biopic, we should at least get some covers on the soundtrack.

And whenever Selena wants to release another 'Bad Liar' or 'Fetish', we'll be ready!

Emily Pérez looks like a stunner – and comes from the Cannes Film Festival with awards in tow

Prestige isn't everything when it comes to being the best streaming service on the market, but grabbing films that actually review well doesn't have many downsides. 

Although many of Netflix's recent successes when it comes to original movies have had incredibly unimpressive reviews from critics and audiences alike, it's looking to buck that trend with Emilia Pérez , which hits the streaming service on 13 November, as confirmed by a new teaser. 

The film stars Karla Sofía Gascón as Emilia, a mob boss who wants out of their criminal life, and Zoe Saldaña plays a lawyer who gets the offer of a lifetime when she's approached to make that happen. Selena Gomez is Emilia's wife, and will have her own part to play in the drama.

If that sounds like a traditional criminal thriller, then you might want to check out the teaser trailer that we've embedded above – it'll clue you into what makes Emilia Pérez different. For one thing, it's basically a musical, although probably a more impressionistic one than you might expect. 

Karla Sofía Gascón told Netflix in an interview : "You have a musical that is not a musical, an action movie that’s not an action movie, a drama that’s not a drama, a comedy that’s not a comedy". That sums up the apparently dreamlike atmosphere of the movie.

If you're worried it might be a dud, you can also check out the reception the movie got at the Cannes Film Festival for reassurance. It came away with the Grand Jury Prize as well as the Best Actress award for Gascón, making it a critical darling already. 

That festival run also means that it already has a bunch of reviews to point to – checking out Rotten Tomatoes and you'll find it on an impressive score of 88% at the time of writing. As always, it'll be fascinating to see whether audiences take to it in the same way, with previous movies like Alfonso Cuarón's Roma showing that Netflix can indeed be a good home for ambitious arthouse flicks.

Emilia Pérez will hit cinemas before it arrives on Netflix for everyone, though. A short run will start sometime in October, according to the streamer, ahead of that 13 November arrival on the platform.
