Blue Stones Announce Third Leg of ‘Pretty Monster’ Tour

Dynamic Canadian rock duo, The Blue Stones, have announced the third leg of their Pretty Monster Tour. The band, consisting of Tarek Jafar and Justin Tessier, will hit the road in the U.S. in May. The short but sweet tour will commence on May 17 in Boston and wrap up on May 26 in Detroit. Tickets for the general public will be available for purchase on Friday, February 17, with an artist presale that is already open on the band’s website .

Jafar and Tessier have dedicated considerable time and effort to developing an unforgettable live performance for their fans. They are understandably excited to watch their US audience enjoy their latest album in real-time.

Pretty Monster Details

The duo worked on Pretty Monster in Zane Whitfield’s NOP Studios in Kingston, Ontario. They spent 35 consecutive days on the project early last year. They collaborated with a few highly respected producers on the album. Kevin Hissink is known for his work with grandson and Demi Lovato while WZRD BLD has worked with Highly Suspect and iDKHOW. Throw in multi-GRAMMY Award-winner Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, The Strokes) and you’ve got an a-team of producers on hand.

The Blue Stones assembled the group with the intention of taking their sound to the next level. They were able to incorporate the passion and the adventurous spirit that they have become known for in their live performances. So, ultimately, the mission was successful.

Jafar Comments On The Album

Jafar, while discussing Pretty Monster , had this to say. “Our mission with this album is to give rock and roll a fresh coat of paint. Track after track features heavy-hitting riffs over tight beats that are tough enough for the fighters, and sweet enough for the lovers. It’s an album dedicated to controlled chaos. An untamed beast contained within a beautiful exterior.”

The Blue Stones formed in Windsor, Ontario, in 2008, and their music is known for its blues-inspired rock sound. Their debut album, Black Holes was released in 2015 and was followed by their sophomore album, Hidden Gems , in 2018. The duo has been praised for their energetic live performances. Jafar’s guitar playing and vocals are the perfect complements to Tessier’s drumming.

Alt Rock duo The Blue Stones today announced a fourth leg of live dates to Pretty Monster tour, adding West Coast and Southwest U.S. shows this June, kicking off June 9 in West Hollywood, at the legendary Troubadour [all dates below]. Artist presale is open now via the band’s website -  www.thebluestonesmusic.com - with tickets on-sale to the general public this Friday, March 31.   Discussing the upcoming dates, Tarek Jafar stated, “We’ve taken great care to build an unforgettable live set. There’s a constant push to always be better than our last album, our last tour, even our last show. ‘Pretty Monster’ live is surely going to blow some minds, and we can’t wait to watch that happen to our U.S. fans in real time.”

THE BLUE STONES "PRETTY MONSTER" ALBUM OUT NOW

The Blue Stones released their acclaimed third LP, Pretty Monster, last autumn via MNRK. Tarek and Justin Tessier kick off the EU/UK leg of the tour tomorrow night in Cologne, Germany with support from GLU (Mikey from Queens of the Stone Age’s solo project), before East Coast U.S. dates begin May 17 in Boston. 

In conjunction, The Blue Stones have released a remix of the single “Don’t Miss” by The Bloody Beetroots - listen here .   Early last year Tarek and Justin hit Zane Whitfield’s NOP Studios in Kingston, Ontario for 35 straight days writing and recording for the Pretty Monster project, working with a few select producers, including Kevin Hissink (grandson/Demi Lovato) and WZRD BLD (Highly Suspect, iDKHOW), along with multi-GRAMMY Award-winner Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, The Strokes, Spoon), looking to stretch their sound further, while continuing to instill every track with equal parts unchecked passion and the joyfully adventurous spirit, that their live performances have become known for.

Leon Bridges Announces 'The Leon Tour' Dates

Leon Bridges has unveiled the dates for  The Leon Tour with special guest Hermanos Gutiérrez .

The North American leg begins at the Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, Texas, where he will perform two shows on Oct. 4 and Oct. 11. 

Bridges will make additional stops in San Diego, Minneapolis, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta.

He will also perform two or three times in other major cities, such as Chicago, Toronto, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Nashville.

Rising singer-songwriter Charley Crockett will join Bridges as a supporting act on The Leon Tour on Nov. 15, the closing night in Bridges’ hometown of Fort Worth, Texas.

The artist presale starts on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. and ends on Thursday, Aug. 22, at 10 p.m. local time.

The Spotify and local presale begins Thursday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m. and ends at 10 p.m. local time. Additional presales will run throughout the week.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. local time.

The Grammy winner’s upcoming tour is named after his fourth album, Leon , which releases Oct. 4 via Columbia Records.

“I wanted to bring the magic and connection that made this record to this tour, so I felt it was important to pick the right rooms to play,” said Bridges.

“I’ll be performing at intimate theaters this run with my incredible band. These are listening rooms—beautiful stages that truly showcase the music and allow me to get back to analog instrumentation. Plus, I’ve really missed playing guitar.”

Bridges launched his new album era on Aug. 8 with “ Peaceful Place ” as the lead single. The track, produced by Ian Fitchuk and Daniel Tashian, was accompanied by a music video .

About Leon , the Texan shared , “It’s soulful music in the truest sense – it’s imbued with my soul. I’m excited to share these stories about my home, about nostalgia, about my upbringing, about where I’m from, with all of you. I hope this music brings you back to your roots and your journey.”

Leon is the follow-up to his 2021 album, Gold-Diggers Sound .

Leon Bridges to perform 3 nights at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on newly announced tour

Texas singer-songwriter Leon Bridges has announced his upcoming tour, "The Leon Tour," which will include three dates at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium.

Known for songs "Texas Sun," "River" and "Coming Home," the soul singer will take the stage on Nov. 11, 12 and 13 with support from Latin instrumental band Hermanos Gutiérrez.

The tour announcement comes in anticipation of Bridges' new self-titled album, which will release on Oct. 4.

Bridges will make stops in North American cities, including Chicago, Toronto and New York before wrapping with a homecoming show in Fort Worth, TX alongside special guest Charlie Crockett.

“I wanted to bring the magic and connection that made this record to this tour, so I felt it was important to pick the right rooms to play. I'll be performing at intimate theaters this run with my incredible band," Bridges said in a press release.

Ticket pre-sales will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 20 for Bridges' tour.
