Flight Centre Travel Group's The Travel Junction unveils rebrand to Infinity Holidays
Move sees the return of multiple award-winning wholesale brand
OTA The Travel Junction, part of the Flight Centre Travel Group, has announced its rebrand to Infinity Holidays, “bringing back the multiple award-winning wholesale brand the industry knows and loves in a bold new era”.
The rebrand also launches Infinity Holiday’s Atlas hotel range, a hand-picked, global collection.
Atlas is Infinity Holidays’ top selling product range and agents selling the Atlas range will also receive an extra 1% commission until the end of the year.
Agents get access to Infinity Holidays’ proprietary HELiO booking system with over 300,000 products available to book, including 50,000 directly contracted products plus Air & ancillary.
James Whiting, general manager of Infinity Holidays, said: “The Travel Junction has grown significantly since launching to the Australian market in 2020, and it's time for our business to continue its evolution to a full-service multiple award-winning wholesale brand.
“We know our agents are time poor. Their clients expect more support, more options and more expertise than ever before, and we want to support them. The industry needs a proficient, full-service wholesale offering. So, when looking to rebrand and take The Travel Junction to the next level, it made sense to bring back a brand the industry knows and loves, in Infinity Holidays.”
“We are launching with an exclusive offering designed to support agents outside of the Flight Centre Travel Group network, and we are incredibly excited about the next round of developments for the brand in the coming months”.
He said: “We have always been known by our partners for our world-leading products, highly experienced wholesale sales team, national network of BDMs, unmatched 24/7 support and the powerful simplicity of our platform, Helio.
“We take the complexity out of booking travel for the trade and put world-leading solutions into our partners’ hands, giving them access to exclusive pricing, high availability and great commissions, and ultimately the best travel experiences for their clients. That won’t change,” he added.
Graham Turner, CEO of Flight Centre Travel Group, said: “The travel industry is in a period of evolution like nothing we have seen in recent times.
“This move to bring the Infinity Holidays brand back to the Australian market allows the travel trade to adapt and stay on top of growing demands, with access to the world’s best travel products, some of the most robust industry relationships, and expert consulting through our wholesale teams”
“Infinity Holidays will be the go-to partner of the global travel trade, with simple supply solutions that power endless growth and unbreakable partnerships.”
Agents partnered with The Travel Junction can expect to see the Infinity Holidays brand roll out across the partner channels and HELiO in coming weeks.

The Travel Junction rebrands as Infinity Holidays
The Travel Junction unveiled the relaunch of Infinity Holidays in the widely celebrated rebrand at a cocktail industry event in Sydney on Wednesday, 27 September. The Travel Junction – part of the Flight Centre Travel Group – announced their rebrand to Infinity Holidays, bringing back the multiple award-winning wholesale brand into a bold new era.
“The Travel Junction has grown significantly since launching to the Australian market in 2020, and it’s time for our business to continue its evolution to a full-service multiple award-winning wholesale brand,’ said General Manager James Whiting.
“We know our agents are time-poor. Their clients expect more support, more options and more expertise than ever before, and we want to support them. So when looking to rebrand and take The Travel Junction to the next level, it made sense to bring back a brand the industry knows and loves in Infinity Holidays.”
The rebrand also launches Infinity Holiday’s Atlas hotel range, a hand-picked, global collection, that is Infinity Holidays’ top-selling product range. Atlas leverages direct relationships to deliver best-in-class rates and availability, exclusive product inclusions, and exceptional in-destination service. Agents selling the Atlas range will also receive an extra 1% commission until the end of the year.
“We have always been known by our partners for our world-leading products, highly experienced wholesale sales team, national network of BDMs, unmatched 24/7 support and the powerful simplicity of our platform, Helio,” added Whiting.
Infinity Holidays offers agents access to their proprietary, easy-to-use HELiO booking system with over 300,000 products available to book, including 50,000 directly contracted products plus air and ancillary. A dedicated sales team can assist with new bookings backed up by Global Support Hubs for 24/7 support.
Backed by travel giant Flight Centre Travel Group, Infinity Holidays will benefit from Flight Centre’s global buying power and support network exclusively for agents outside the Flight Centre Travel Group, allowing them to reward partner agents with commissions up to 15% and exclusive, directly contracted rates on over 50,000 products.
“This move to bring the Infinity Holidays brand back to the Australian market allows the travel trade to adopt and stay on top of growing demands, with access to the world’s best travel products,” said Flight Centre Travel Group CEO, Graham Turner. “Infinity Holidays will be the go-to partner of the global travel trade, with simple supply solutions that power endless growth and unbreakable partnerships.”
Agents partnered with The Travel Junction can expect to see the Infinity Holidays brand roll out across the partner channels and HELiO in the coming weeks.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Avoid using them at all cost. Definitely not worth the hassle just to save a few bucks. I booked my tickets but never got my confirmation until days later after continuing to follow up. They charged me right away and didn’t give me my ticket. I called them and they put me on hold for 2HOURS while claiming that it’ll only take them a couple of minutes to pull up my booking details. I will NEVER use the company again. I wish I never did. You’ve been warned.

Dear Passenger, We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. We tried finding out your booking to help you resolve this query. However, we were unable to find details for this name. Hence, it would be great if you could just take a couple of minutes for us and provide us with your booking reference, email ID used for booking, phone number, or passenger name. It will help us quickly find out about your reservation and resolve it. Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience. We will wait for your reply, and we will surely be on our toes to work on it and resolve it on priority for sure. Thanks and Regards, Customer Relations Team
Avoid for you’re own mental health
Most useless helpline I have ever encountered, they may be good at selling tickets but god forbid you encounter any difficulties or have to make any changes. One week away from going to Japan with my brother and after we paid a 300$ fees for a small change, there is no new e-tickets to be found. We called dozen of times sent countless emails !!! As we do not live in Canada we had to pay some extra 130$ to call because they kept hanging the phone !!! This is insane please avoid at all costs unless you’re looking for a very expensive emotional rollercoaster.

Dear Passenger, We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. We understand you tried to book flights with us. However, at the time of booking your credit card never changed, which is required in order to confirm your flights. Fares are dynamic in nature and can be change any time by the airline. Fares, offers, and rules are subject to change without notice. All prices displayed on our website are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Airlines and other travel suppliers may change their prices without notice. Once the promotional prices expires then we abide by airline policies and procedures. As we both know. Do not hesitate to email or contact me, if you require further assistance. I and my service team will ensure that your query will be resolved on high priority. Once again apologize for any inconvenience. We will wait for your reply and we will be surely on our toes to work and resolve it on priority for sure. Thanks and Regards, Customer Relations Team

SCAM-DONT EVER USE IT
SCAM, AVOID AT ALL COST! Purchased a fare, did not get the reservation ticketed. Upon calling I was told fare price was increased. 1. CLASSIC BAIT AND HOOK TECHNIQUE Since the reservation could not be ticketed, I was offered alternative flight (ofcourse expensive) and asked to pay fare difference. Upon deciding not to go with that option I was told that my money is with the airline. Airline says they don't have my money since the reservation isn't ticketed. Called TravelJunction again and they asked me to proceed with cancellation and pay a CANCELLATION FEE So all in all this website is run by a bunch of scammers waiting to gouge out more money by using unfair trade practices. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Amazing work

Had a horrible experience with them for…
Had a horrible experience with them for ticket reservation, not recommended at all! First of all, the reservation process is a trick, you will not pass trough confirmation step, as soon as you put your credit card info and click on next, it is done! you can not even go through seat selection, etc. The worse thing is that the price that you see on their web is not the final price, right after charging you they will call you saying that oh sorry this price is not avaiable anymore, you should pay 1000$ more or so!!! just imagine! and if you decline and ask to cancel the reservation, they do not accept that, saying that it is not refundable !!! It is a fraud, a complet fraud, they should not be allowed to treat people like this, shame on them!

This Agency is a Scam! Bait and Switch!
This agency is a scam! I booked for one itinerary and pricing that was better than anything else I found online. I was then later called moments after booking saying that it wasn't available. I was made to pay more than $120 over the EXACT same flight itinerary I could have booked myself! It was a bait and switch! Canceling would have costed me $150! I will NEVER book with this company again!

The capital of Russia is an incredible place to explore. Visitors to Moscow come away spellbound at all the amazing sights, impressed at the sheer size and grandeur of the city. Lying at the heart of Moscow, the Red Square and the Kremlin are just two of the must-see tourist attractions; they are the historical, political and spiritual heart of the city – and indeed Russia itself.
A fascinating city to wander around, stunning cathedrals, churches, and palaces lie side-by-side with bleak grey monuments and remains from the Soviet state. In addition to its plethora of historical and cultural tourist attractions, Moscow is home to world-class museums, theaters and art galleries.
Renowned for its performing arts, fantastic ballets and amazing circus acts, catching a show while in Moscow is a must. The wealth of brilliant restaurants, trendy bars, and lively nightlife means there is something for everyone to enjoy.

17. Tsaritsyno Palace
Once the summer residence of Catherine the Great, the stunning Tsaritsyno Palace is now a museum-reserve. The architecture is magnificent and there is a lovely park surrounding it for visitors to explore.
Located in the south of Moscow, the palace was commissioned in 1775 and recent renovations mean its lavish interior looks better than ever before with its elegant halls and beautiful staircases.
The exhibits on display look at the life of the empress as well as the history of Tsaritsyno itself. The huge palace grounds are also home to some other delightful buildings with the elegant opera house and wonderful brickwork of the Small Palace being particularly impressive to gaze upon.
Starting out in 1935 as the ‘All-Union Agricultural Exhibition’, VDNKh has slowly morphed over the years into the fascinating open-air museum of today. Remarkably, over 400 buildings can now be found within its confines.
The huge park complex has numerous pavilions representing former Soviet republics on show, such as those of Armenia and Turkmenistan and the distinctive architecture of each of the buildings is always interesting to gaze upon. In addition to this there is the fascinating Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics which is dedicated to space exploration and the fun Moskvarium aquarium even offers you the chance to swim with dolphins.
With lots of eateries scattered about and numerous entertainment options such as horse-riding and zip-lining, there is something for everyone to enjoy; the Friendship of Nations fountain truly is wonderful.
15. Kremlin Armoury
One of the oldest museums in the city, the Kremlin Armoury has a wealth of treasures; highlights include the ornate Grand Siberian Railway egg, the historic Cap of Monomakh and the stunning Imperial Crown of Russia which often has a crowd of tourists around it, jostling to take a photo.
Once the royal armory, there are loads of fascinating objects on display. Perusing the many sabers, jewelry, armor and more is as interesting as it is educational and entertaining and the swords are so finely crafted that you’ll almost wish you could pick up one and wield if yourself.
Established in 1851, the museum is situated in the Moscow Kremlin.
14. GUM Department Store
Standing for ‘Main Universal Store’ in Russian, GUM is stunning. Its wonderful skylights and beautiful facades mean it doesn’t look out of place alongside its illustrious neighbors on Red Square.
With over 200 shops, boutiques and upmarket eateries inside, it is a shopaholic’s heaven and concerned partners will be glad to find more affordable options alongside luxury brands such as Dior and Prada.
The main department store in the city, GUM was opened in 1893. The stunning architecture makes it well worth a visit even if shopping isn’t your thing.
13. Moscow Metro
It’s not often that public transport looks like a work of art. So many stops on the Moscow Metro will astound visitors with their beauty and elegance.
Decked in marble and with frescoes covering the walls, the stations are amazing to gaze upon and are part of one of the longest metro systems in the world, with the first stations opened in 1935.
Using the metro is the quickest and easiest way to get around Moscow and braving the crowds of commuters is well worth it for the beauty all around you.
12. Arbat Street
An elegant yet lively street, Arbat is full of impressive architecture and was once a popular place to live for aristocrats, artists, and academics.
A historic place, it is down Arbat Street that Napoleon’s troops are said to have headed on their way to capture the Kremlin.
Nowadays, there are many cafes, restaurants, and shops, as well as various monuments and statues to former residents such as Alexander Pushkin who was reputed to be a lover of the Russian Empress due to his massive influence in court.
11. Novodevichy Convent
Drenched in history, the Novodevichy Convent is located in a striking building that was once a fortress. This captivating place is well worth visiting when in Moscow.
Founded in 1524, the convent houses four cathedrals; Smolensk Cathedral is the undoubted highlight due to its delightful 16th-century frescoes.
Wandering around the grounds is like stepping back in time. The Novodevichy Cemetery is where many famous leaders of the Soviet Union are buried, such as Yeltsin and Khrushchev.
10. Pushkin Museum
Despite its name, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts actually has no connection at all to the famous poet other than that it was named in his honor after his death. A delight to visit, its extensive collection focuses on European art with masterpieces by Botticelli, Rembrandt, and van Gogh all featuring.
Sculptures, graphic art, paintings and more can be found in its beautiful galleries; various sections look at themes and epochs such as the Renaissance, the Dutch Golden Age, and Byzantine art.
Among the many highlights are the clownish characters which can be found in Cezanne’s Fastnacht (Mardi Gras) and the twirling ballerinas who look so elegant in Degas’ Blue Dancers. Picasso’s Young acrobat on a Ball is also well worth checking out for its interesting use of shapes and colors.
9. Christ The Savior Cathedral
This gorgeous Russian Orthodox cathedral is located on the banks of the Moskva River, just a stone’s throw away from the Kremlin.
The church as it stands today was consecrated in 2000, as the original church that stood here was destroyed on the command of Josef Stalin in 1931 due to the anti-religious campaign.
With its delightful golden dome, spires and dazzling white facades, the Christ the Savior Cathedral is stunning. The interior is just as captivating to wander around, with its beautifully tiled floors and impressive altar.
8. Lenin Mausoleum
Opened to the public in 1924, Lenin’s Mausoleum is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Moscow. The red granite structure is located at the heart of the city in Red Square.
Lenin’s embalmed body lies in a glass sarcophagus; it is a somewhat eerie experience walking past the former leader of the Soviet Union but is well worth doing as you understandably can’t do it anywhere else in the world.
After visiting the mausoleum, head to the Kremlin wall right next to it for more graves of important communist figures such as Stalin and Brezhnev.
7. Tretyakov Gallery
Home to the most extensive and impressive collection of Russian fine art in the world, the State Tretyakov Gallery is definitely worth visiting when in Moscow for the wealth of amazing art pieces that it has on display.
Having started out as the private art collection of the Tretyakov brothers, there are now over 130,000 exhibits. Highlights include the iconic Theotokos of Vladimir which you will almost certainly recognise despite probably not knowing the name and Rublev’s Trinity which is considered to be one of highest achievements in Russian art.
An absolute must for art lovers, the State Tretyakov Gallery will delight visitors with all that is has to offer.
6. Kolomenskoye
Once a royal estate, Kolomenskoye is now a museum-reserve and lies a few kilometers outside of the city center. A captivating place to visit, there is a plethora of history on show and the site overlooks the Moskva River.
Consisting of four historical sites, there are extensive gardens for visitors to explore, as well as loads of interesting old buildings, the former village of Kolomenskoye itself and the impressive Palace of the Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich – once considered the Eighth Wonder of the World by contemporaries.
Among the many stunning sights, it is the brilliantly white Ascension Church that is the undoubted highlight – dating back to 1532.
5. Gorky Park
Lying alongside the Moskva River, the huge Gorky Park is a lovely place to visit. Its extensive gardens are home to numerous cultural institutions and visitors should definitely check out the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art and while the eclectic exhibits may not always feature such incredible sights as a balloon-covered rider on a zebra; they certainly always succeed in pushing back the boundaries of art.
Pop-up exhibitions and festivals can be found from time to time in the park itself and there is an open-air theatre and numerous eateries alongside a plethora of leisure activities.
Whether it’s cycling, table tennis or yoga that you are after or beach volleyball and rowing, Gorky Park certainly has it. In winter, there is a huge ice rink for visitors to enjoy.
4. Bolshoi Theatre
The Bolshoi Theatre is the main theater in the country. The amazing opera and ballet performances it has put on over the centuries go a long way in explaining Russia’s rich history of performing arts.
While the Bolshoi Ballet Company was established in 1776, the theater itself was opened in 1825. The glittering, six-tier auditorium is lavishly and decadently decorated; it is a fitting setting for the world-class performances that take place on its stage.
Spending a night watching a performance of such classics as The Nutcracker or Swan Lake at the Bolshoi Theatre is sure to be a memorable experience and the beauty all around you only adds to the sense of occasion.
3. Moscow Kremlin
This famously fortified complex is remarkably home to five palaces and four cathedrals and is the historic, political and spiritual center of the city. The Kremlin serves as the residence for the country’s president. It has been used as a fort, and this fact is made clear by its sheer size. The Kremlin’s outer walls were built in the late 1400s.
Under Ivan III, better known as Ivan the Great, the Kremlin became the center of a unified Russian state, and was extensively remodeled. Three of the Kremlin’s cathedrals date to his reign that lasted from 1462-1505. The Deposition Church and the Palace of Facets were also constructed during this time. The Ivan the Great Bell Tower was built in 1508. It is the tallest tower at the Kremlin with a height of 266 feet (81 meters).
Joseph Stalin removed many of the relics from the tsarist regimes. However, the Tsar Bell, the world’s largest bell, and the Tsar Cannon, the largest bombard by caliber in the world, are among the remaining items from that era. The Kremlin Armory is one of Moscow’s oldest museums as it was established more than 200 years ago. Its diamond collection is impressive.
The Kremlin’s gardens – Taynitsky, Grand Kremlin Public and Alexander – are beautiful. The Kremlin has also served as the religious center of the country, and there is a tremendous number of preserved churches and cathedrals here. The collections contained within the museums include more than 60,000 historical, cultural and artistic monuments. Those who enjoy the performing arts will want to consider attending a ballet or concert at the State Kremlin Palace. Completed in 1961, it is the only modern building in the Kremlin.
2. Red Square
Lying at the heart of Moscow, Red Square is the most important and impressive square in the city. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions due to its wealth of historical sights and cultural landmarks.
Drenched in history, the huge square is home to incredible sights such as the Kremlin, St. Basil’s Cathedral and Lenin’s Mausoleum, among others. Consequently, it is not to be missed when in Moscow as it really is home to the city’s most stunning monuments.
It is here that many important moments in Russian history took place; the former marketplace has hosted everything from Tsar’s coronations and public ceremonies to rock concerts and Soviet military parades. Wandering around the massive square is a humbling experience and undoubtedly one of the highlights the city has to offer.
1. Saint Basil’s Cathedral
Located in the impressive Red Square, St. Basil’s Cathedral is gorgeous; its delightful spires appear as if out of a fairytale. The most recognizable building in the country, the cathedral is very much a symbol of Russia. No visit to Moscow is complete without having taken in its unique and distinctive features.
Ivan the Terrible ordered the cathedral’s construction in the mid-16th century, and legend holds that Ivan put out the architect’s eyes so that he would be unable to build another cathedral more glorious than St. Basil’s. Designed to resemble the shape of a bonfire in full flame, the architecture is not only unique to the period in which it was built but to any subsequent period. For various reasons, both Napoleon and Stalin wanted to destroy the cathedral but fortunately did not succeed.
Known for its various colors, shapes and geometric patterns, St. Basil’s Cathedral houses nine different chapels that are all connected by a winding labyrinth of corridors and stairways. On the lower floor, St. Basil’s Chapel contains a silver casket bearing the body of St. Basil the Blessed.
Throughout the cathedral are many beautiful murals, frescoes, wooden icons and other art works and artifacts. Outside the cathedral is a lovely garden with the bronze Monument to Minin and Pozharsky, who rallied an all-volunteer Russian army against Polish invaders during a period of the late 16th century known as the Times of Troubles.

Most Beautiful Metro Stations in Moscow
Visiting Moscow? Get yourself a metro card and explore Moscow’s beautiful metro stations. Moscow’s world-famous metro system is efficient and a great way to get from A to B. But there is more to it; Soviet mosaic decorations, exuberant halls with chandeliers, colourful paintings and immense statues. Moscow’s metro is an attraction itself, so take half a day and dive into Moscow’s underground!
The best thing to do is to get on the brown circle (number 5) line since the most beautiful metro stations are situated on this line. The only exception is the metro stop Mayakovskaya one the green line (number 2). My suggestion is to get a map, mark these metro stops on there and hop on the metro. It helps to get an English > Russian map to better understand the names of the stops. At some of the metro stops, the microphone voice speaks Russian and English so it’s not difficult at all.
Another thing we found out, is that it’s worth taking the escalator and explore the other corridors to discover how beautiful the full station is.
Quick hotel suggestion for Moscow is the amazing Brick Design Hotel .
These are my favourite metro stations in Moscow, in order of my personal preference:
1. Mayakovskaya Station
The metro station of Mayakovskaya looks like a ballroom! Wide arches, huge domes with lamps and mosaic works make your exit of the metro overwhelming. Look up and you will see the many colourful mosaics with typical Soviet pictures. Mayakovskaya is my personal favourite and is the only stop not on the brown line but on the green line.
2. Komsomolskaya Station
Komsomolskaya metro station is famous for its yellow ceiling. An average museum is nothing compared to this stop. Splendour all over the place, black and gold, mosaic – again – and enormous chandeliers that made my lamp at home look like a toy.
3. Novoslobodskaya Station
The pillars in the main hall of Novoslobodskaya metro station have the most colourful stained glass decorations. The golden arches and the golden mosaic with a naked lady holding a baby in front of the Soviet hammer and sickle, make the drama complete.
4. Prospect Mira Station
The beautiful chandeliers and the lines in the ceiling, make Prospekt Mira an architectural masterpiece.
5. Belorusskaya Station
Prestigious arches, octagonal shapes of Socialistic Soviet Republic mosaics. The eyecatcher of Belorusskaya metro station, however, is the enormous statue of three men with long coats, holding guns and a flag.
6. Kiyevskaya Station
The metro station of Kiyevskaya is a bit more romantic than Belorusskaya and Prospect Mira. Beautiful paintings with classical decorations.
7. Taganskaya Station
At the main hall Taganskaya metro station you will find triangle light blue and white decorations that are an ode to various Russians that – I assume – are important for Russian history and victory. There is no need to explore others halls of Taganskaya, this is it.
8. Paveletskaya Station
Another and most definitely the less beautiful outrageous huge golden mosaic covers one of the walls of Paveletskaya. I would recommend taking the escalator to the exit upstairs to admire the turquoise dome and a painting of the St Basil’s Cathedral in a wooden frame.
Travelling with Moscow’s metro is inexpensive. You can have a lot of joy for just a few Rubbles.
- 1 single journey: RMB 50 – € 0,70

Wow! It is beautiful. I am still dreaming of Moscow one day.
It’s absolutely beautiful! Moscow is a great city trip destination and really surprised me in many ways.
My partner and I did a self guided Moscow Metro tour when we were there 2 years ago. So many breathtaking platforms…I highly recommend it! Most of my favorites were along the Brown 5 line, as well. I also loved Mayakovskaya, Arbatskaya, Aleksandrovski Sad and Ploshchad Revolyutsii. We’re heading back in a few weeks and plan to do Metro Tour-Part 2. We hope to see the #5 stations we missed before, as well as explore some of the Dark Blue #3 (Park Pobedy and Slavyansky Bul’var, for sure), Yellow #8 and Olive #10 platforms.
That’s exciting Julia! Curious to see your Metro Tour-Part 2 experience and the stations you discovered.

Distance between Moscow (Idaho) and Grand Junction (Colorado)
Driving non-stop from moscow (idaho) to grand junction (colorado).
How far is Grand Junction (Colorado) from Moscow (Idaho)? Here's the quick answer if you have friends taking shifts as driver so that you can make the entire trip by car without stopping.
Nonstop drive: 945 miles or 1521 km
Driving time: 14 hours, 30 minutes
This is a really long drive, so it's not very realistic to drive nonstop. To get a better idea of how long this road trip would actually take, scroll down to calculate how many hours it would be if you drive with stops .
Flying non-stop from Moscow (Idaho) to Grand Junction (Colorado)
Now let's assume you have a private jet and you can fly in the fastest possible straight line between Moscow, Idaho and Grand Junction, Colorado. Because of the curvature of the Earth, the shortest distance is actually the "great circle" distance, or "as the crow flies" which is calculated using an iterative Vincenty formula. For a long distance, this appears as a curve on the map, and this is often the route that commercial airlines will take so it's a good estimate of the frequent flyer miles you'll accumulate as well.
Flight distance: 680 miles or 1095 km
Flight time: 1 hour, 52 minutes
The straight line flight distance is 265 miles less than driving on roads, which means the driving distance is roughly 1.4x of the flight distance.
Your plane flies much faster than a car, so the flight time is about 1/8th of the time it would take to drive.
This is a medium length flight, so unless you have a nice private jet, you might be booking a commercial flight. In that case, your travel time would really need to include how many minutes to get to your local airport, wait for security, board and taxi on the runway, land at the other airport, and get to your destination. Scroll down to see a more realistic calculation that takes into account all these factors to get a more accurate estimate of your actual flight time .
Moscow (Idaho) to Grand Junction (Colorado) road trip
Realistically, you're not going to want to drive without stopping all the way from Moscow (Idaho) to Grand Junction (Colorado), especially if you're the main driver. So let's say you're actually planning a road trip to Grand Junction (Colorado), and you need to stop along the way to rest. Plus if it's a real road trip, you might want to check out interesting stops along the way, eat at great restaurants, and find a hotel to stay overnight. That's what Trippy is perfect for, helping you figure out travel plans in detail.
Based on the length of this trip, we think you could spread out this fun road trip over a number of days.
Road trip: 3 days of driving
With the full itinerary planned out, we can estimate your total travel time for this trip.
Travel time: 18.5 hours on the road with 2 overnights
Start in Moscow (Idaho) .
Drive for about 2.5 hours , then stop in Riggins and stay for about 1 hour. Next, drive for another 3 hours then stop in Boise . Stay overnight. The next day, drive for about 2 hours , then stop in Twin Falls and stay for about 1 hour. Next, drive for another 2.5 hours then stop in Malad City and stay for 1 hour. Drive for 1.5 hours then stop in Salt Lake City . Stay overnight. The next day, drive for about 4.5 hours , then stop at Arches National Park and stay for about 1 hour. Finally, drive for about 2 hours and arrive in Grand Junction (Colorado) .
Moscow (Idaho) to Grand Junction (Colorado) airports and flights
In the quick calculation above, we assumed you had a private plane and just wanted to know the time in the air from city to city. But for most of us, we're going to be flying on a commercial airline (whether it's first class or coach). So that means we really need to account for all the extra travel time getting to the airport, waiting for our flight, and making it to the destination.
To give you a better estimate of real-life travel, we've put together a flight itinerary with actual airports. Eventually you'll be able to customize this plan, choosing your own airports and flights. But for now, here's an example we've selected to give you an idea of how traveling might work between airports.
Departure airport: Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport (PUW)
Arrival airport: Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT)
With the airports selected, we can estimate the travel time to and from the airport, based on how far the airport is from downtown.
Getting to the airport: 16 minutes
Getting to your destination: 13 minutes
Now finally, let's look at an example flight from PUW to GJT and figure out how long it would take to fly including take-off and landing, and time to taxi on the runway.
Commercial flight time: 1 hour, 52 minutes
So now we can finally get an idea of the total travel time from Moscow (Idaho) to Grand Junction (Colorado) including time spent getting to/from the airports, an estimated wait time of 2 hours at the airport for TSA security lines and waiting at the gate, and the actual flight itself.
Total travel time: 4 hours

How to get to Russia in 2024 (INFOGRAPHIC)
For citizens of 65 countries, a visa is not even required to enter Russia. For the majority of these countries, the length of stay without a visa is up to 90 days; however, for some, it’s shorter, so be sure to check.
In 55 more countries – including countries in Europe and Asia, such as Germany, Denmark, Japan, China – you can apply for an electronic visa to enter Russia. In this case, the length of stay in the country is up to 16 days. We addressed all queries regarding how to do it in detail here and you can find the full list with all countries here .
2. Transport
As of January 2024, 36 countries have direct flights to Russia, among which are Israel, China, Turkey and many others. The majority of European countries, however, are not on this list; they prohibited their airlines from conducting passenger flights to the territory of the Russian Federation. The only European country from where you can board a direct flight to Russia is Serbia.
Three other most popular hubs, from which you can come to Russia on a direct flight:
- Istanbul, Turkey
- Yerevan, Armenia
- Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Aside from that, you can reach Russia also on land transport – with a car, bus or train. However, in 2024, the checkpoint on the border with Finland is currently closed, which was a convenient route for the residents of the Scandinavian nations, while Finland itself is, as of right now, unavailable.
Several other countries – Estonia, Latvia and Norway – are also contemplating the possibility of closing their borders with Russia, but, for now, this hasn’t happened and the passage is open (we advise you to follow developments closely, however). The route from Georgia to Russia via Vladikavkaz remains one of the most popular land routes, due to which there are still hour-long waiting lines at the border.
3. COVID restrictions, vaccinations & quarantine
In 2022, the government of Russia canceled all restrictions linked to the COVID-19 pandemic; in 2023, it allowed foreign tourists to enter the country without a negative PCR test.
However, there are still occasional random COVID-19 checks at airports, so don’t be surprised if you are asked to get tested.
