THE Adventure PARK
Waimarino Adventure Park is a tranquil paradise situated on the banks of the Wairoa River just 10 minutes from Tauranga city. The Park provides the perfect day out for the entire family. Bring your togs, and make a day of it with friends and family.
A variety of pass options allow for flexibilty for your day. We also offer discounts and private areas within the park for group bookings and children's birthday parties. The Adventure Park is also home to the Waimarino Trust which operates an After School Club, Holiday Programmes and School Programmes.
Waimarino was started in 1975 with the vision to create a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can come and learn to kayak. It is still today's vision but the business has now expanded to become The Waimarino Group.
The Waimarino Group offers a number of unique & enjoyable glow worm kayak tours , a range of corporate team-building options , and after school and holiday care for children.

Evening Glowworm Kayak Tour
Start your Evening Glowworm Tour at Waimarino alongside the Wairoa River. Enjoy delicious refreshments while watching the sun set over the rolling hills. At twilight our guides will lead you into the calm waters to discover the magic of the enchanting Glowworm canyon.
A narrow, high-sided canyon at the head of the lake is the home to thousands of Glowworms. To ensure their luminescence our tour departs once a day before sunset so by the time we get to the Glowworm canyon it’s completely dark. This tour is led by professional and knowledgeable guides providing a fantastic and informative brief about the life cycle and peculiarities of the Glowworm.

Complementary transport is provided to and from Waimarino Adventure Park to the tour launch site. We can provide you with transport from your accommodation for an additional cost of $40pp. (Mount Maunganui & Tauranga central only, minimum 2 people required). This option can be added to your tour upon booking.
