Bristol Hippodrome Sunday 17th March 2019. Second time seeing the band. Brilliant musicians playing a great back catalogue. Sound quality perfect and well appreciated by an enthusiastic audience on the last night of the tour.

A brilliant night at Birmingham Symphony Hall. Went as a trip down Memory Lane but WOW - these guys far exceeded expectations. The audience were mesmerised at their musicianship. They were very entertaining too, with a nice smattering of background to the tracks.. Highly recommended - whatever your age!

Awsome! Surreal!

Who would have thought that I'd get the chance to actually SEE the band perform? I could tell that they also enjoyed being on stage in Stockholm, making us happy. They did put on a show that felt genuine and as if it was yesterday the songs were written.

I looked around and thought: What a lot of OLD people here… Then, realizing that they are not OLD at all. We are the same age and still kickin' it! :-) I'd suggest everyone that feel the urge to see them on stage GO DO IT!

10cc to Embark on First U.S. Tour in Over Three Decades

10cc 's pending Ultimate, Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour will bring the '70s hitmakers to America for the first time in more than three decades.

They're best known for "I'm Not In Love," a single composed by Graham Gouldman and Eric Stewart which reached No. 2 in the U.S. and No. 1 in the U.K. in 1975. 10cc hit the American Top 5 again in 1976 with "The Things We Do for Love," which was also composed by Gouldman and Stewart.

Gouldman continues to lead the group. Shows kick off in July at Montclair, N.J., with stops in New York City, St. Louis, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco to follow through August. 10cc emerged from the '70s boasting four consecutive gold-selling U.K. albums beginning with 1974's Sheet Music , but saw their momentum slow in the new decade. The band went dormant from 1983 through the '90s. But their songs lived on: "I'm Not In Love" featured prominently in the chart-topping soundtrack to 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy . "Dreadlock Holiday," a U.K. chart-topping hit from 1978, was also featured in 2010's The Social Network .

10cc built that kind of lasting appeal with timeless songs, Gouldman argues. "They don't seem to date," he said in an official release. "We never followed any trend; we simply wrote for our own pleasure. The fact that the songs are being played as often on the radio as they ever were shows how true that is."

Gouldman is the only founding member to appear on every 10cc project, but the current lineup includes two other legacy members: Drummer Paul Burgess initially came on board in 1973 as a touring member before officially joining in time for 1977's Deceptive Bends , home to "The Things We Do For Love." Guitarist Rick Finn arrived shortly thereafter, performing on 10cc's 1977 concert recording Live and Let Live .

The "Ultimate, Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour" kicks off in New Jersey on July 24th

British rock band 10cc will return this year for their first US tour in over three decades.

The US tour announcement follows 10cc’s current UK/Europe leg of their “Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour,” which they began 2022. Now, they’ll embark on the “Ultimate, Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour” in the United States, kicking off in Montclair, New Jersey on July 24th. They’ll continue the coast-to-coast trek through the end of July and August, hitting cities like New York, Milwaukee, Nashville, Austin, and Los Angeles. 10cc has sold more than 30 million albums around the world and the band’s longevity is testament to their timeless songs, as is their continuing to traverse the globe and play countries as disparate as Iceland and South Africa, Latvia and Japan, as well as across Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Canada and the US.

Founder member Graham Gouldman attributes 10cc’s lasting appeal to the quality and individuality of the band’s songs. “They don’t seem to date; they are original, we never followed any trend we simple wrote for our own pleasure. The fact that the songs are being played as often on the radio today as they ever were shows how true that is,” he says.

50 years on from their debut album, art pop and soft rock legends 10cc are coming to The Marlowe this November.

Having sold over 15 million albums in the UK alone, 10cc have eleven Top 10 hits to their name, including three No 1 singles – Rubber Bullets , Dreadlock Holiday and the ubiquitous I’m Not In Love – along with Donna (No 2), Art For Art’s Sake and Good Morning Judge (both reaching 5), The Things We Do For Love and I’m Mandy Fly Me (No 6), and The Wall Street Shuffle (No 10).

Led by Graham Gouldman, the live band comprises Rick Fenn (lead guitar, bass, vocals), Paul Burgess (drums, percussion) – both of whom have been with 10cc since the early years – Keith Hayman (keyboards, guitars, bass, vocals) and Iain Hornal (vocals, percussion, guitar, keyboards).

I worked out it’s nearly fifty years since I last saw 10cc live, and this was at the height of their seventies fame. Whilst aficionados remain impressed with the later albums …Meanwhile, and the last gasp Gouldman/Stewart collaboration Mirror Mirror, it’s the core seventies repertoire that persists.

Ably helmed by founder member Graham Gouldman (since 1999) the band also features mainstays Rick Fenn and Paul Burgess who can trace their own lineage back to 1976/77 (1973 if you include Burgess’ time as a touring member). This adds a reassuring note of authenticity.

10cc have one of the greatest pop rock songbooks of the seventies. Most songs played tonight were instantly recognisable thanks to the regular TV and radio coverage they originally received and not least because they are great songs. They were supplemented with a more recent piece Gouldman wrote featuring Brian May and a song co-written with vocalist/guitarist Iain Hornal.  And ‘Ready To Go Home’ was a tribute to co-writer Andrew Gold with whom Gouldman collaborated as “Wax” in the late-1980s.

Billed as the Ultimate Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour. there were few surprises. The setlist was in fact almost identical to their October 2022 tour.

If this gig was then a very safe bet at the outset the repertoire was never in doubt and it was all executed perfectly. Perhaps too perfectly. The opening ‘Son Of Man’ video was impressive and the GG/06 grind may have even overshadowed what came next.

A live highlight ‘Art For Arts Sake’ was played early on and traditionally lends itself to an extended playout. That didn’t happen unfortunately and maybe two songs in the band hadn’t really warmed up. It was after all the first night of the tour. It would have been better placed after ‘Feel The Benefit’ a song which gave the band – erroneously – a progressive tag in some quarters .

In truth the band didn’t really come alive until the third encore ‘Rubber Bullets’ that also prised the audience from the newly refurbished seats at the one-time Colston Hall. Before that an acapella version of ‘Donna’ was sublime.

Along the way the setlist was peppered with pop history reference points but Gouldman is generous in his inclusion of songs he didn’t actually write including the somewhat bizarre ‘Clockwork Creep’ from ‘Sheet Music’.

The band’s version of ‘I’m Not In Love’ brought out the bossa nova style that was apparently present when the band first developed it whilst ‘Somewhere In Hollywood’ featured Kevin Godley on film reminding us that he and Lol Creme forged a healthy career in groundbreaking video production.

Iain Hornal shared lead vocal duties and at times brought a more West End show vibe to the delivery which was frankly a bit irritating. He lacked the soulfulness and sensitivity of an Eric Stewart akin to Tim Howar depping for Paul Young in Mike And The Mechanics.

What next for these seasoned troupers? The triple ultimate greatest hits tour?

Gouldman should be applauded for keeping the flame alive (and at the age of 77) but you can’t help thinking that this is a mellower iteration and that if Godley and Creme were on board there would be more grit in the mix.

Old Wild Men? Wait for the encores.

Art pop and rock icons 10cc, have announced the addition of a further 25 concerts to their The Ultimate Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour for Autumn 2024.

Considered one of the UK’s premier live touring bands, the extra shows come off the back of the band’s most successful UK tour to date, with 18 concerts through March, including an advance sell-out at London’s 5,200-seat Royal Albert Hall.

Having also recently announced an extensive US tour, their first in more than three decades, playing venues such as the Majestic Theater in Dallas, Theater at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles and Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, 10cc’s classic ballad I’m Not In Love, which reached No 2 in the Billboard charts, being included in the soundtrack for Disney’s blockbuster film Guardians of the Galaxy has certainly help raise interest there.

Known for their impeccable live performances, their catalogue of hits sees the band seamlessly transition from art-pop to mock-reggae and impressively harmonised ballads, to prog rock epics Somewhere In Hollywood and Feel The Benefit.

Three of their 11 UK Top 10 hits reached No 1– Rubber Bullets, I’m Not In Love and Dreadlock Holiday – and made the charts worldwide, which explains the band’s extensive touring schedule which has taken them Australia and New Zealand, Japan, Iceland, Latvia and from Scandinavia down through mainland Europe.

At the helm is 10cc founding co-member Graham Gouldman, who says, 

“What is particularly satisfying is seeing our audience demographic changing with more and more younger people coming to our gigs. The shows in March have been our most successful in the UK and that is very gratifying, as we are only doing what we love – playing the music of 10cc.”

Childish Gambino announces 'The New World Tour': See full list of dates

Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover , has announced a world tour that will cover North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The North American leg of the tour, called "The New World Tour," will feature 33 dates and will begin in Oklahoma City on Aug. 11. The final stop on the leg will be in Chicago on Oct. 3.

The European leg of the tour kicks off Oct. 31 in Lyon, France and ends Dec. 5 in Dublin, Ireland, and will feature 18 stops across the continent. The Australia and New Zealand portion kicks off on Jan. 28, 2025 and wraps up on Feb. 11, 2025.

Alongside the world tour, Gambino also surprised fans with the release of " Atavista ," a new version of his 2020 album " 3.15.20 ," which includes two new tracks, titled "Atavista" and "Human Sacrifice."

Taylor Swift's European Eras Tour leg kicked off in Paris with a new setlist. See which songs are in and out.

Taylor Swift fever struck Paris on Thursday as the highest-grossing tour in history finally arrived in Europe, with fans treated to the first-ever performance of songs from her latest album.

The Eras Tour began its European leg with four dates at the La Defense Arena in Paris.

"I wish I could have toured Europe more. This is a dream crowd," the 34-year-old megastar told the ecstatic audience.

There were deafening shrieks as images of typewriter sheets indicated that songs off the new album "The Tortured Poets Department" were starting late in the show.

Emerging in a lyrics-covered dress, she ran through several of the darker new tracks starting with "But Daddy I Love Him" and "Fortnight", a particularly furious rendition of "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" and an elaborate "I Can Do it with a Broken Heart," with a golden-era Hollywood dance routine.

Other "The Tortured Poets Department" songs performed included "So High School," "Down Bad" and "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," according to ETonline .

"You were the first crowd to see songs from 'The Tortured Poets Department'," she said, before adding: "Or, as I like to call it, 'Female Rage: the Musical.'"

That was a dream come true for many in the audience.

"I've been so excited for so long, I can't believe it's actually happening," said 11-year-old Emma, who had flown in with her mother from New York.

Adding songs from "The Tortured Poets Department" wasn't the only change to the show and its 45-song setlist.

Perhaps the biggest change, according to ETonline, is the "Folklore" and "Evermore" setlists were combined, cutting four songs across the two albums: "'Tis the Damn Season," "Tolerate It," "The 1" and "The Last Great American Dynasty."

"On the Eras Tour, we have now reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter," Swift said, according to video posted to social media. "You can call it "Folklore, Evermore" or you can call it the Sister Albums! You can call it whatever you want as long as you promise to sing 'Champagne Problems' with me."  

"The Archer" was removed from the "Lovers" portion of the show and "Long Live" was cut from the "Speak Now" era setlist, according to ETonline.

One of the secret songs was, fittingly, the "Midnights" bonus track "Paris."  

Parts of the show were also rearranged to make room for the newest era. The "Red" era was moved from the fifth to the third slot, according to ETonline, and the newest album was introduced following the "1989" set.

The venue said a fifth of the crowd were from the United States — many attracted by Europe's rules against charging huge mark-ups on resale tickets that can save Americans thousands of dollars compared with shows at home.

Georg'Ann Daly decided to celebrate her 23rd birthday with the Paris show. It meant flying from Nashville to Chicago to London and catching the Eurostar to Paris.

"I've always been obsessed with Taylor Swift," she told AFP.

A handful of superfans camped out from Tuesday in Paris to ensure they got a prime spot.

"I didn't plan to, but I came to check it out and I saw the first tents and I panicked a little," said Chris, 30.

Noah, 20, is seeing all four Paris concerts — he used 22 email addresses to get through the lottery system and secure the tickets.

After wrapping up her run in Paris, Swift will head for dates in Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland and Austria.

The Eras Tour has worked its way across North and South America and Asia since starting in March 2023.

By the end of the year, it had already become the first to sell more than $1 billion in tickets and is on track to more than double that by the time it concludes in Vancouver this December.

Swift's popularity shows no sign of dimming — the new album sold 1.4 million copies on its first day and broke every streaming record , reaching a billion streams on Spotify within five days.

Swift's tell-all dissections of her love stories have been the fuel powering her global domination, and fans have been poring over "The Tortured Poets Department" for cryptic clues about ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, her short-but-dramatic fling with Matty Healy (lead singer of The 1975), and her current partner, American football star Travis Kelce.

"Taylor talks about toxic relationships, impossible love, politics, mental health, and so much more," said Chris as she waited by her tent for the big moment. "I think we can all find a song that resonates with our experiences."
