Page 54: seat belts and pregnant women, page 55: supplemental restraint system (srs) - airbags.

  • Page 56 The Advanced Front Airbags have a multistage inflator design. This allows the airbag to have different rates of inflation based on the severity and type of collision. This vehicle may be equipped with driver and/or front passenger seat track position sensors that may adjust the inflation rate of the Advanced Front Airbags based upon seat position.

Page 57: Advanced Front Airbag Features

  • Page 58 WARNING! (Continued) • Do not put anything on or around the airbag covers or attempt to open them manually. You may damage the airbags and you could be injured because the airbags may no longer be functional. The protective covers for the airbag cushions are designed to open only when the airbags are inflat- ing.
  • Page 59 58 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE deploys independently, that is a left side impact deploys the left airbag only and a right-side impact deploys only the right airbag. Supplemental Side Airbag Inflatable Curtain (SABIC) — If Equipped SABIC airbags may offer side-impact and vehicle rollover protection to front and rear seat outboard occupants in addition to that provided by the body structure.
  • Page 60 The system includes side impact sensors adjacent to both front and rear seat occupants that are calibrated to deploy the SABIC airbags during impacts that require airbag occupant protection. WARNING! • If your vehicle is equipped with left and right Supplemental Side Airbag Inflatable Curtain (SABIC), do not stack luggage or other cargo up high enough to block the location of the SABIC.
  • Page 61 60 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE WARNING! Infants in rear-facing child restraints should NEVER ride in the front seat of a vehicle with a passenger Advanced Front Airbag. An airbag deployment can cause severe injury or death to infants in that posi- tion.

  • Page 63 62 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE ORC deploys the Advanced Front Airbags, SABIC air- bags — if equipped, Supplemental Seat-Mounted Side Airbags — if equipped, and front seat belt pretensioners — if equipped, as required, depending on the severity and type of impact.
  • Page 64 in the ACC position, or not in the ignition, the airbag system is not on and the airbags will not inflate. The ORC contains a backup power supply system that may deploy the airbags even if the battery loses power or it becomes disconnected prior to deployment.
  • Page 65 64 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE separate and fold out of the way as the airbags inflate to their full size. The airbags fully inflate in about 50 to 70 milliseconds. This is about half of the time it takes to blink your eyes.
  • Page 66 deploy the SABIC airbags, depending on the severity and type of collision. In these events, the ORC will deploy the SABIC only on the impact side of the vehicle. A quantity of non-toxic gas is generated to inflate the side curtain airbag.
  • Page 67 66 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE • Turn on the interior lights, which remain on as long as the battery has power or until the ignition key is removed. • Unlock the doors automatically. If a Deployment Occurs The front airbags are designed to deflate immediately after deployment.
  • Page 68 Do not drive your vehicle after the airbags have de- ployed. If you are involved in another collision, the airbags will not be in place to protect you. WARNING! Deployed airbags and seat belt pretensioners cannot protect you in another collision. Have the airbags, seat belt pretensioners, and the front passenger seat belt retractor assembly replaced by an authorized dealer as soon as possible.
  • Page 69 68 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE WARNING! (Continued) • Do not attempt to modify any part of your ad- vanced airbag system. The child could be badly injured or killed. Follow the manufacturer’s directions ex- actly when installing an infant or child restraint.
  • Page 78 LATCH — Child Seat Anchor System (Lower Anchors and Tether for CHildren) Your vehicle’s second row passenger seats are equipped with the child restraint anchor system called LATCH. The LATCH system provides for the installation of the child restraint without using the vehicle’s seat belts, instead securing the child restraint using lower anchors and upper tether straps from the child restraint to the vehicle structure.
  • Page 79 78 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE All three second-row passenger seating positions have lower anchors that are capable of accommodating LATCH-compatible child seats. You should NEVER in- stall LATCH-compatible child seats so that two seats share a common lower anchorage. If installing child seats in adjacent seating positions, or if your child restraints are not LATCH-compatible, install the restraints using the vehicle’s seat belts.
  • Page 80 Installing the LATCH-Compatible Child Restraint System We urge you to follow the manufacturer’s directions carefully when installing your child restraint. Not all child restraint systems will be installed as described here. Again, carefully follow the installation instructions that are provided with the child restraint system. NOTE: When installing a child restraint, if it interferes with the Head Restraint, recline the seatback slightly to remove the interference.

2010 dodge journey service manual pdf

why the car won't stay running after a jump start? after I remove the clamps of the jump start it turns off immediately. Can you please help?

So my question is why has there not been s9me recall on the dodge journey 2010 electrical issues. I've noticed I'm not the only one having the problem of the dodge just shutting down around 10 to 15 min into driving than doesn't start back up for a good hr if not longer just to run for a very short period again. This seems to be a big pro lem for alot of owners of this vehicle type. It's dangerous for the people in the cab including drivers around . With it just shutting off the way it does many things cam end up happening. I am a owner for a yr and I can say I've driven mabey 120 miles max and that's mainly when I drove it home the first time which I bought 112 miles away from home ended up taking me 12 hr to finally get to my door. It was a nightmare.

where is the fuse box for the windows?? my front driverside window wont go up or down

Why does my battery light go off and on?

Heater not functioning

What would be the cause of the heating system not working? The fan works with no heat.

To reset the maintenance light, turn the ignition key to the "ON" position (without starting the engine), fully depress the accelerator pedal three times within 10 seconds, then turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position. This should reset the maintenance light.

How do I check the engine oil level in my Dodge Journey (2010)?

To check the engine oil level, park your vehicle on a level surface, wait for the engine to cool down, locate the oil dipstick (usually a brightly colored handle), remove it, wipe it clean with a rag, reinsert it fully, then remove it again and observe the oil level between the minimum and maximum marks on the dipstick.

How do I pair my phone with the Bluetooth system in my Dodge Journey (2010)?

To pair your phone with the Bluetooth system, first, ensure that your phone's Bluetooth function is turned on. Then, navigate to the "Settings" menu on your vehicle's infotainment system, select "Phone/Bluetooth," choose "Pair New Device," and follow the on-screen prompts to search for and connect to your phone. Typically, a passkey or PIN may be required for pairing, which can be found in the vehicle's manual.

About The Dodge Journey

For just over a decade the Dodge Journey was produced by the American automobile manufacturer.

It first launched in 2009 and was discontinued in 2020 with the Durango taking over in the mid-size crossover slot.

Dodge has been moving away from its generic brand image towards being one focusing on performance vehicles over the last decade which is most probably the reason for the discontinuation.

This wasn’t the only car to get taken off sale, the Caravan and Grand Caravan minivans were also taken off in the same year too.

You can find this car on sale in many regions around the world with the Dodge Journey name being used mainly in North American and the Fiat Freemont in the rest of the world.

The major differences between the Journey and Freemont are the availability of engines, in the USA you can find a V6 version but elsewhere the engine options are smaller.

In China, Brazil and Australia you can find both the Freemont and the Journey on sale alongside each other.

2015 saw the end of the Fiat Freemont as the French automaker concentrated on their own in-house developed crossover SUVs.

Underneath the car, you can find a platform that was taken from the Avenger model which was discontinued in 2014 in favor of crossover SUVs like this one.

In 2011 the Journey saw a large facelift that affected both the exterior and the interior – with many mechanical components being upgraded.

Dodge also applied their new logo design to the car and the dashboard was complimented with a Uconnect 3 infotainment system.

2020 also saw an improvement to the car even though it was the last year that it was manufactured.

Trim options were limited to just 2 for the final year on sale and all customers were forced to take the car with 3 rows of seating, an optional feature previously.

Safety ratings for the car have always been generally good, Euro NCAP rated it 5 out of 5 stars in 2011 and NHTSA awarded it 4 out of 5 stars in 2012.

ServicingManuals.com

This website is a free online resource that stores PDF service manuals for popular cars.

Using a community of helpers we source the documents and index them into manufacturers and models so you can easily find the right one.

Inside of a typical service manual, you will find instructions on the maintenance, fitting and replacement of components inside a car.

You may find these documents referred to under different names such as repair manuals, workshop manuals and even factory manuals.

If you have a hard-to-find service manual then you can submit it for others to find here .

This site is part of the GimmeManuals.com community driven group of websites.

At GimmeManuals we collect popular and hard to find owner’s manuals and then archive them in an easy-to-search way.

What is a Service Manual?

These service manuals that you can find the PDFs for on this site are extremely useful for mechanics.

You may also find these manuals useful if you DIY your car maintenance to avoid expensive repair costs.

Within the manuals, you typically find exploded diagrams of the parts in a car along with parts numbers.

Many people look for the wiring diagrams and the fuse information within these working manuals too in order to fix electrical problems that may have appeared.

As the powerplant of a car can be complicated you can also find a section called an “engine diagram” that shows you how to service, repair and dismantle an engine unit.

As the title states, I  have a PDF version of the service manual. I own it as I payed for it many years ago. I would like to share it but wonder if some one already post it.

The size is big around 250mb. Very extensive around 5630 pages each in 55 chapters covering all engines and trans.

I've only been around here for about 2 years, but have not seen any manuals posted into the forum here or for that matter none of the other model specific sites I also particpater on. That would be a BIG helpto me seeing I have an '11 and a '14 to now keep up maint./repair on. Electrical /wiring and trans/AWD would be most beneficial for me..

That you are willing to offer is a VERY NICE gesture if such is capable on the forum!

:)

great I'll figure a way to upload it.

@mojo thank you very much for sharing this with us. Amazing! Love my journey, is my 2nd and If the Model hadn't died for Dodge North America, I wouldn't think of buying a 3rd when required. I would love for them to bring the version that is sold today in its place by Dodge México... I will miss the 2 extra seats in the back, but I would continue with Journeys!

Great resource!  I saw that there is a chapter (20) on the standard transmission.  Was that available in cars destined to stay in Mexico?  Where else?  (I still distrust automatics.)

The Mexican Journey is the Chinese Trumpchi with a Dodge Badge on the grill. It may be a fine car but it’s a much different car. To me the old Journey was right sized. Roomy, good sight line without being too tall, big doors, long wheelbase. Good while it lasted.

Thanks for the manual mojo.

Thank you Mojo! Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the catalytic converter on bank 1 (fire wall) for a 2014 dodge journey SXT 3.6L AWD? I did get the bolts off and detached the catalytic converter from the motor and the exhaust but I couldn't seem to remove it. The catalytic converter seems to hit the front right drive shaft and the cross under pipe. I'm hoping that If I remove the cross under pipe that I'll have enough space to pull the catalytic converter out from the bottom. Anybody have any suggestions?

Outrageously helpful resource to have! Thank you so much for sharing.

Enjoyed the chapters in this service manual however I have not been able to find the page other then where: "the headliner is dropped to the seats"  in a step by step process 23- Body/Interior HEADLINER-removal/

Typing "Headliner" I get over 200 pages to check

I'm asking,  are both sun shields, four ceiling hand grips, plastic covers at A pillars, . . . ,headliner console, DVD screen console, headliner  vents removal  seems alot to remove to replace four sunroof drain tubes that I suspect are either frozen with water/dirt and plugged and back up water into Map light console.

:Drop down the headliner as necessary to gain access to the drain hoses (Refer to 23 - Body/Interior/HEADLINER - Removal) . 1.  2. Disconnect the front hoses (2) from the sunroof assembly (1). 3. Release the support clips (3) and disconnect the lower grommet and remove the hose. Disconnect the rear hoses (2) from the sunroof assembly (1) and release the support clips (3). 4.  5. Separate the remaining support clips (1). 6. Disconnect the grommet (2) from the body (3) and remove the rear hoses as necessary.

(Page 2230)Dodge Journey  Service Manual 2012-2016 by Mojo, Jul 31, 2022 in Maintenance and D.Y.I.

Found Headliner removal location in service manual provided.(page 1526)

How do you go about removing the plastic trim pieces so I do not damage them.

DVD player was not mentioned in removal or installation process

I’m pretty sure no one removes their car  interior to unplug sunroof track drain vents. Look at this clip most of them are similar set up.

It would be like removing your engine to change spark plugs. Get a hair dryer to unfreeze the crap plugging up the lines, or work in a heated garage if needed. Piece of whipper sniper line and maybe compressed air if really bad, use low pressure if possible.

What about a 3.5 liter engine in a 2009 journey?

How to find the best car on the market for you: a guide.

New car models fill dealerships across the country every year. But if you’re not a car aficionado, you probably haven’t

2010 dodge journey service manual pdf

New car models fill dealerships across the country every year. But if you’re not a car aficionado, you probably haven’t kept up with the latest car trends and features. That can put a real damper on your car buying experience when it’s time to replace your current vehicle.

For that reason, many shoppers stick with the same manufacturer and often the same model, happy to stay with the safe, familiar option. But is the newest model of your current vehicle really the best car on the market for you?

Probably not.

There’s a science to checking all the boxes and finding the car that’s right for your personal needs. It’s as simple as following our guide. Let’s dive into a practical approach to buying a new car.

1. Know Your Needs

Every vehicle shares one thing in common: It gets you from point A to point B. That’s where the similarities end. Nowadays, car manufacturers differentiate their catalog by specializing their products for a targeted type of clientele.

What’s the first step to finding these vehicles specialized for you? Knowing what you’re looking for.

If you’re in possession of a camper or regularly haul heavy payloads, then an ideal vehicle will have the strength to match. Buying a Jeep would likely be your best bet.

But maybe you aren’t worried about physical performance. You’re a family of five and a sedan isn’t going to cut it. A larger SUV with plenty of seating and built-in entertainment could be a godsend for those long drives with the whole family.

Finding the best car on the market goes well beyond space and performance. Ask yourself, do you want a manual shift or are you comfortable with an automatic?

What about your living situation? Some vehicles excel in city driving environments and enduring the stop-and-go traffic of the daily commute.

And if you’re driving 30 or 40 miles a day, don’t forget the fuel economy. Opting for a four-cylinder engine can save you hundreds on yearly fuel expenses.

While these considerations create the foundation of your car shopping experience, other features are worth a look, too. Think about perks like remote starters, seat warmers, and television displays.

Once you rank and prioritize all these different factors, your ideal vehicle should start to take shape. You should have an idea of the type of car you want, such as an SUV or Jeep, as well as a list of must-have features like a backup camera and four-wheel drive.

2. Understand Your Budget

As a rule of thumb, you shouldn’t spend more than 15% of your monthly net income on transportation expenses. That includes car payments and car insurance. Take a moment to calculate 15% of your monthly income to determine the ideal monthly car payment.

And then take another moment to realize that setting a practical budget is a bit more complicated.

The majority of car buyers rely on auto loans to finance the vehicles of their dreams. And by using an auto loan, the interest will increase the overall cost of your vehicle. A great credit score can limit the impact of a car loan’s interest, but you may want to compensate and aim for 12% of your monthly income rather than 15%.

3. Decide on a Payment Plan

You’ve got two options when it comes to financing a new vehicle: buying and leasing. While buying has been the traditional choice for decades, the popularity of leasing continues to grow and now accounts for 27% of all new-vehicle financing.

Which is the right choice for you?

Buying a car with an auto loan results in higher car payments. However, by choosing to purchase a vehicle you also gain equity with every payment and have the freedom to sell the car whenever you’d like.

With leasing, you’re essentially renting the vehicle. Payments are significantly cheaper, but you must return the car at the end of the lease. It’s a good way to drive a car that may be outside of your budget otherwise.

Leasing also comes with some mileage restrictions. At the end of most leases, you’ll have the option to buy the car at a slightly reduced price if you choose. Still, leasing is no doubt the most expensive way to own a car — but the cheapest way to drive one.

4. Find the Best Car on the Market

You know the class and features of your dream car, as well as your current budget and choice of financing. That means you’re finally ready to narrow down your options through the help of a comparison website.

With the help of a car finder tool, you can easily compare and contrast models that check all your boxes and fall within your estimated budget. At this point, your choice of model mostly comes down to stylistic preferences.

However, additional research can go a long way. Look at online reviews for any car model that catches your eye. You’ll get a good sense of the vehicle’s reliability and performance.

You should also give the manufacturer a look, too. Some car manufacturers are notorious for poor quality control, weak warranty coverage, or undertrained technicians. Any of these factors can throw a certain degree of risk into your purchase, though lemon laws in your state may be able to help.

Buy Your Dream Car

Once you’ve narrowed down your choices, find a nearby dealership and schedule a test drive. With this, alongside a physical evaluation, you should have a good idea if this car is right for you. Otherwise, head back to the car finder tool to discover some alternatives.

By taking things one step at a time and researching the current car industry, the best car on the market is well within your reach. You just need to put in a bit of effort to find it.

5 Best Reasons Why Buying a Truck Is Better Than a Car

When it comes time to buy a new vehicle, you may feel torn between buying a truck and buying a

2010 dodge journey service manual pdf

When it comes time to buy a new vehicle, you may feel torn between buying a truck and buying a car. In our opinion, you can never go wrong with a truck. Whether you’re single or have a large family, trucks can support all lifestyles.

But why is it better to buy a truck than a car? After all, cars have great fuel efficiency, nice features, and decent safety ratings, don’t they?

In truth, there’s nothing wrong with buying a highly-rated car. However, we still think you’re better off with a pickup. Keep reading to learn why.

1. Four-Wheel Drive

First, almost all trucks, even small-sized trucks have four-wheel drive. This can be especially useful during seasons of inclement weather. Trucks perform well in snow, rain, slush, ice, mud, and more. Cars, on the other hand, can often be found getting pulled out of sticky situations by truck owners.

This is also essential for people who like to hunt, go camping, or otherwise enjoy the great outdoors in areas that are more difficult to traverse.

2. Fuel Efficiency

When buying a truck, you may be concerned about fuel costs. We get it, nothing is certain in our economy and you don’t want to spend a fortune on gas. Fortunately, most newer trucks come equipped with technology that limits engine output when it isn’t needed to help you save on fuel.

Even cool pickup trucks with insane power can be incredibly fuel-efficient. Keep in mind, fuel efficiency in any vehicle can be improved based on how you drive.

One of the biggest reasons for buying a truck is if you need a vehicle that can tow things. This could be trailers for work or campers and boats for recreational activities. Outdoor activities can be wildly improved with the addition of boats, ATVs, snowmobiles, and more – but you must have a way to get them from point A to point B.

Trucks are also your best bet for hauling cargo. Whether you’re working on home improvement projects and need a vehicle capable of hauling building materials or are helping your friend move, a truck is a necessary asset. They can also be quite handy when it comes to transporting larger loads, such as gravel, dirt, equipment, and more.

If you’re all about vehicle safety, trucks are definitely the way to go. They’re big and sturdy, and in the event of hitting wildlife or colliding with another vehicle, you’re going to be well protected.

For some of the safest trucks on the road, check out RAM trucks for sale  near you. In fact, the Ram 1500 was the only truck to receive the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick Plus award in 2019.

Are You Thinking About Buying a Truck?

Are you thinking about investing in a new vehicle? If so, as mentioned above, we really think you should consider buying a truck. However, before you make your choice, be sure to check out some of our other articles for more information about cars, trucks, vehicle maintenance, and more.

Top 10 Different Types of Vintage Cars

As any vintage car owner will tell you, a car is so much more than a means of getting from

2010 dodge journey service manual pdf

As any vintage car owner will tell you, a car is so much more than a means of getting from point A to point B. They’re also sure to add that anyone who says otherwise has likely never felt the rush of driving a classic car out on the open road.

Vintage cars are so much more than a means of transport. Nor is their appeal the same as owning other status symbols, such as high-powered modern cars, no matter how fast or luxurious they are. Instead, owning a vintage car means possessing a key to another way of life. A life that redefines cool, celebrates style, and reexamines what it means to own and drive a vehicle.

These classic cars laid the foundations for the golden age of the auto industry when craftsmanship was true craftsmanship and beauty was both an undeniable fact and a necessity.

But of all the vintage cars out there, which deserve a parking spot in the automobile hall of fame? Keep reading to find out!

1. Jaguar E-Type

Few would argue with Enzo Ferrari’s declaration that this is the “most beautiful car ever made.” As such, it’s only right to start our list off with this stunning example of what Jaguar was capable of back in the day. Full of swinging sixties chic and faster than a Ferrari at a third of the price, the Jaguar E-Type was the ultimate sports car of its time and the ultimate in vintage cars today.

Thanks to consistent internal revisions that didn’t affect its elegant outer appearance, Jaguar managed to keep the E-Type in production until the mid-seventies. This tactic ensured that it moved with the times in terms of performance while still looking as sleek and stylish as ever. In fact, it brakes much better than many cars from the same era and retains plenty of vigor.

2. Porsche 911

Back in 1963, Porsche unveiled its successor to the famous 356, the 911. This powerful, more spacious evolution was meant to be called the ‘901’. Yet, with Peugeot holding the rights to three-digit car names featuring a zero in the middle, Porsche settled on calling it the 911, and the rest was history.

The earliest 911 started life with a 2.0 engine and was air-cooled and rear-mounted. And, although the 130 bhp seems paltry in comparison to today’s 911 turbos with their 500+ bhp, the 911 had almost 50 percent more power than the 356.

More power came in the 1970s, with the Carrera RS now seen by many experts as the ultimate 911. Porsche then ceased production of the original 911 back in 1989, but this model is still in high demand due to its vintage 1960s frame, sleek design, high-quality  Porsche classic parts , and excellent reliability rating.

3. Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500

Made from 1965 to 1973, there’s no doubt that this first-generation Mustang was the “it” car of its time, and a must-have vintage car that still embodies the same cool that it exuded back then.

Ford made the first model available as a coupe or convertible, with the Mustang soon hailed as a marvel of a design. It grew more powerful over the years and sold millions of units, although it was the 1967 Shelby GT500 that really cemented the Mustang reputation thanks to its huge grille, triple tail lamps, and 428 in³ V-8 engine that could reach a whopping 355 bhp.

4. Mercedes 300SL Gullwing

If ever you needed proof that they don’t make old vintage cars like they used to, one glimpse of the 300SL’s wing-style doors should do it. Although, if Mercedes had had their way, its 300SL race car would have never gone into production. It was only due to the tireless campaigning of Maxi Hoffman, the official American importer of Mercedes-Benz, that Mercedes changed their mind.

Launched in 1954 at the New York International Motor Show, the Gullwing drew much acclaim from the admiring crowds, thanks to its innovative appearance and sleek design. But the Gullwing was far more than a pretty car. Mercedes designed it with a racing heritage, building up the flat, graceful body over a space frame chassis. It also boasted impressive aerodynamics ready to slice through the air and a powerful 215 bhp – a first for a fuel-injected engine from Mercedes.

5.  Ferrari 250 GTO

While the original $18,000 price tag of the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was far from cheap, it’s nothing compared to the $48.4 million that a keen buyer paid for one in 2018. But, with only 36 ever made , it’s no wonder that this car is sought after enough to hold the record for the most expensive car sold at auction.

Record-breaking prices aside, this Ferrari is an obvious choice for any ultimate list of vintage cars thanks to its striking appearance. But the distinctive design was born of necessity – keeping it low to the ground and placing the engine lower and further back meant optimal aerodynamic efficiency. The exhaust pipes and integrated rear spoiler make for an intimidating view from behind, while the front grille is both aesthetically pleasing and purposeful, offering form and function as only this awe-inspiring Ferrari could.

6.  Aston Martin DB5

As James Bond’s car of choice, it’s no wonder that this is one of the most sought-after vintage car rental models for events and special occasions.

Packed with quintessential British charm, the DB5 was the last evolution of the DB4 series, made famous by its starring role in more 007 movies than any other car. Although the DB5 could reach speeds of up to 145 mph, the model’s 4.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine meant that it was far from a definitive sports car. Instead, it was more of a luxury ride, with wool pile carpets and electric windows as standard.

These touches, combined with a failsafe combination of British engineering and Italian styling, are sure to leave you shaken  and  stirred if you’re ever lucky enough to get your hands on one.

7. Ford Thunderbird

Built as an ode to the American beauty and with driver comfort in mind rather than speed, Ford described the Thunderbird as a “personal car of distinction.” This 1955 two – seat convertible referred back to the Ford heritage models of the 1930s and featured a 4.8-liter V8 engine. And, while it was not a direct competitor to any other sports cars being made at the time, the Ford Thunderbird stood out for its style and comfort.

8.  Citroen DS

Full of French flair and hailed for its design worthy of a science fiction movie, the DS was Citroen’s long-awaited successor to the Traction Avant. And it didn’t disappoint. Once again, Citroen was way ahead of its time thanks to the DS model’s futuristic styling and minimal interior.

Quirky extras and concepts set the DS apart from the start. The doors didn’t feature window frames, and the rear brake lights wet set higher to line up with the eyes of following motorists. Slim pillars offered great visibility for the DS driver, while this vintage car’s hydraulic independent suspension gave comfort like never before.

What’s more, the DS was an instant hit. Citroen took over 12,000 orders from eager customers on the first day of its unveiling at the 1955 Paris Motor Show.

9. Toyota 2000GT

Another limited-addition vintage car full of exclusive appeal is the Toyota 2000GT, the result of a Toyota and Yamaha collaboration. Stunning and rare, this stylish front-engine rear-wheel-drive two-seater became known as Japan’s first supercar after first going on display at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1965.

This beauty also has more than its fair share of Bond credentials, appearing in the 1967 movie,  You Only Live Twice.  And, although Aki, the Japanese secret service agent drove it more than 007 himself, Toyota modified the car in question from a coupe to a roadster to allow for Sean Connery’s height. And, while Daniel Craig admits that the Aston Martin DB5 is an exquisite vehicle, he chose the Toyota 2000GT as his favorite Bond car of all time.

10. Dodge Charger

As one of the most popular vintage cars for sale even nowadays, there’s no doubt that the 1969 Dodge Charger is an American car that will never go out of fashion.

A fine figure of beauty with a fastback look and an aerodynamic body shape that feels both muscular and sleek, the Dodge Charger is full of all-American style. What’s more, while it may not get the same attention as a Mustang, its continuing popularity means that it’s a lot easier to find Charger vintage car parts than it is to find pieces for other, more exclusive classic cars.

Your Guide to Different Vintage Car Options

If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a vintage car, we’d bet money that one of these bad boys was on your wishlist.

But, while some of these classic cars were seriously limited edition, there are others that often turn up as vintage cars for sale if you know where to look – and have the cash and garage space ready to go!

How to Negotiate When Buying a Car: 4 Easy Tips

Are you shopping for a new or used car? Car shopping can be exciting, but it can also be stressful.

Are you shopping for a new or used car?

Car shopping can be exciting, but it can also be stressful. Finding the best deal that meets your needs and getting the features you want can be complicated. How to negotiate when buying a car is one of the things that many people want to learn.

Fortunately, it’s easier than you think. By preparing and having a plan of action, you’ll have a successful negotiation. Here are car negotiation tips when buying a car.

1. Do Your Research

When you are ready to buy a car, you need to do your research. You can use the internet, newspapers, and other resources to find out the average prices being paid for the type of car you want to buy.

If you are looking for an SUV type and would like to make a statement wherever you go, you can check out Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep. You can learn more about these cars by looking up dodge near me on your browser.

You can also find out about any rebates or other special deals that may be available. Once you know the true market value of the car, you will be in a better position to negotiate a price with the dealer.

2. Get Multiple Quotes

Before negotiating, one important thing to do is to get multiple quotes. This allows you to compare prices and terms to get the best deal possible. Be sure to negotiate based on the total cost of the car, not just the monthly payment.

When negotiating with dealers, be sure to let them know you are getting quotes from other dealerships. This will put pressure on them to give you their best offer.

3. Be Flexible on Timing

One of the best times to buy a car is during the end-of-year sales event. You can often get a better price by waiting for the end of the month or the end of the year when dealers are trying to meet sales quotas. This is when they’ll be more motivated to make a deal and offer discounts.

Many car dealerships offer great deals on new and slightly used vehicles. If you’re not in a hurry to buy a car, you can wait for these annual sales and save yourself a lot of money.

4. Don’t Be Afraid to Walk Away

When you are purchasing a car at the dealership, walk away if the dealer is not inclined to negotiate. Keep in mind that the dealer wants to sell the car, so they will usually be prepared to negotiate.

Be firm in your offer, but be reasonable. If you are not able to reach an agreement, be willing to walk away.

There are plenty of dealerships and cars to choose from, so do not be afraid to walk away if the dealer is not giving you the best deal possible. They may come back with a better offer if they think you’re serious about leaving.

Getting to Know How to Negotiate When Buying a Car

It’s important to know how to negotiate when buying a car. Follow these tips and you’ll be on your way to getting the best possible price on your new ride.

With a little preparation and practice, you can get the car you want at a price you’re happy with.

New vs. Used Car: Which Is the Better Buy?

Car shopping is stressful and exhausting, especially if you’re buying a new car. Although buying a new car can potentially

2010 dodge journey service manual pdf

Car shopping is stressful and exhausting, especially if you’re buying a new car. Although buying a new car can potentially provide you with better customer service, the costs associated with purchasing an entirely new vehicle can be astronomical.

Likewise, buying a pre-owned car comes with the disadvantage of possibly not being able to provide repair service for older vehicles. So, is there a happy medium between new and used car sales?

Keep reading to learn more about your new vs used car options.

Consider the Financial Impact

When purchasing a new car, you can shop around for the best deal and you are likely to get more features than you would with a used car. On the downside, new cars can be expensive and their value depreciates quickly.

Used cars are typically much cheaper, and you can take advantage of depreciation while getting a reliable car at a good price. However, purchasing a used car comes with the risks of unforeseen problems and unknown history of ownership.

Ultimately, it depends on what your budget and needs are.

Compare Reliability

New cars come with manufacturer warranties that cover any breakdowns the car may experience for up to a couple of years. This provides owners with peace of mind.

On the other hand, used cars do not offer the same level of warranty protection that a new car does. Thus, there is an increased risk of a breakdown. They may also incur greater expenses in the long run due to maintenance costs.

Cost of Insuring a New vs Used Car

Purchasing a new car typically includes higher insurance premiums because it has a higher value, new parts, and is more likely to be a coveted target for thieves.

In comparison, buying a used car will likely offer more affordable insurance premiums due to the overall lower value and fewer attractive additions. It also has a lower risk of theft since its value is not as appealing to crooks.

Despite the cost difference, in the end, it comes down to personal preference, budget, and lifestyle.

Evaluate Features

A new car will likely have the latest available safety and security features, as well as improved fuel efficiency over a used car. As newer technologies emerge, they may become available in newer cars. Used cars can offer some excellent deals and lower long-term costs such as insurance and repairs, but they also come with potential risks.

Some dealers offer specific car models in both new and used options. For example, you are eyeing a Dodge Jeep, for its features. You can go to a dodge jeep dealership and select from their new and used options.

Ultimately, researching and evaluating features for both new and used cars can help buyers make the most informed decision.

Choose the Right Option for Your Needs

In conclusion, the better buy depends on your individual needs. New cars offer more comfort and convenience but used cars offer greater value for your budget.

Before you purchase a vehicle, research different dealers and call around to compare the prices of a new vs used car. Ask questions and get informed to make the best decision for you and your budget.

Shop smart and save money when buying a car.

Dodge is a well-known American brand of cars, sport utility vehicles and minivans. The company was founded in 1900, but didn’t begin producing cars until 1914. Up until then, they were a parts supplier to Detroit-based car makers. They have an extensive range of performance vehicles, as well as lower-priced variants of Chrysler-badged models.

Dodge is also a popular brand when it comes to pickup trucks. They are manufactured under the Ram brand, which is well-known for models like the 2500, the 3500 and the 5500. Dodge introduced a line called “Adult Toys” in the 1970s to help boost their truck sales, which included various customized versions of popular models. The purpose-built Ramcharger was manufactured in 1974 and features a powerful V8 engine. This model was redesigned in 1994 and followed this up with the Durango model in 1997. Dodge vehicles are sold throughout the world, including Europe, Canada and Brazil. At Haynes we have an extensive selection of Dodge repair manuals for various models.
