I concerti saranno la giusta occasione per i fan di ascoltare dal vivo le hit che hanno reso famosa la formazione, oltre ai brani di  Bloodline Maintenance , l’ultimo album uscito la scorsa estate e recentemente pubblicato anche in una speciale versione in vinile.  Prodotto dallo stesso  Harper  insieme al collaboratore di lunga data  Sheldon Gomberg ,  Bloodline Maintenance  applica l’inventiva dell’hip hop ai paradigmi classici di soul, blues e jazz, ribadendo il ruolo di  Harper  come uno dei più importanti cantautori di protesta della sua generazione. Negli anni  Harper  ha riunito intorno a sé una fan base mondiale e il consenso della critica, aggiudicandosi  tre Grammy Awards  su sette nomination per i suoi lavori che attraversano i generi, e ha inoltre prodotto album di artisti come  Mavis Staples ,  Rickie Lee Jones ,  The Blind Boys of Alabama ,  Natalie Maines ,  Ziggy Marley  e molti altri. Collaboratore entusiasta,  Harper  ha anche registrato con una vasta gamma di artisti che va da  John Lee Hooker  a  Charlie Musselwhite , da  Jack Johnson  a  Ringo Starr , da  Keith Richards  ad  Harry Styles , di cui ha di recente aperto i concerti. Ben Harper ha annunciato le date europee del nuovo tour, con il quale promuoverà il suo nuovo album ‘Wide Open Light’ che uscirà il prossimo 2 Giugno 2023 tramite Chrysalis Records (ordinabile QUI! ).

Harper passerà dall’ Italia per cinque concerti il prossimo mese di Luglio, toccando le città di Milano, Verona, Perugia, Tarvisio e La Spezia. Oltre le nuove canzoni di ‘Wide Open Light’ , Ben Harper regalerà anche la performance di suoi più grandi successi e canzoni amate dai fans.

Il cantautore, musicista e produttore   BEN HARPER  annuncia l’album  WIDE OPEN LIGHT   in uscita il 2 giugno via Chrysalis Records .

Il nuovo disco in studio segue il precedente  Bloodline Maintenance  che ha ricevuto una nomination agli ultimi  Grammy Awards .

Ad accompagnare l’annuncio la  pubblicazione del singolo “ Yard Sale ” feat. Jack Johnson , suo collaboratore di lunga data, e la comunicazione delle date del tour estivo. WIDE OPEN LIGHT  è descritto da Ben come  una vera e propria famiglia di canzoni in cui ogni traccia è parente stretta della successiva . È volutamente minimalista e sono le canzoni stesse, tanto quanto la produzione, le protagoniste assolute:  “There was once a time when albums didn’t need an adjacent story or fable. When the songs were enough,”  ha affermato Ben,  “I’m excited to return to this.” . Sul singolo, “ Yard Sale “, invece ha detto:  “Follows a man through the final blurred stages of a breakup. With each passing verse the couple grows further beyond reach or repair. By the song’s end, he’s more confused than when the song began.” . Dopo l’uscita del disco, Harper sarà in tour in date selezionate con The Chicks, prima di partire per il suo lungo tour negli Stati Uniti questo autunno. Il tour americano di Harper inizia a Richmond, in Virginia, il 29 settembre, e comprenderà spettacoli a Portland, ME, Buffalo, NY, Cincinnati, OH, Milwaukee, WI e altri, e includerà esibizioni all’Oceans Calling Music Festival e al Sound on Sound Music & Arts Festival. Questo mese,  Ben è apparso nella nuova serie AppleTV+ “Extrapolations” , un dramma immaginario ambientato nel prossimo futuro, quando gli effetti del cambiamento climatico sono diventati parte integrante della nostra vita quotidiana. Awesome show....was good enough on Saturday that I went to see it on Sunday night as well.

Was well worth seeing two nights as they played a bunch of the same songs....but it was different with a bunch more laid back tracks.

Wonderful Moment! It was the second time I saw Ben Harper In show and the both nights were incredible!

It's a really impresive moment of music. It's not just a succession of songs, Ben and Charlie customize each song to make a special one. It's a very musical concert. There isn't electronics sounds like all the news common songs, the instruments make the work. As a spectator, you see that Ben, Charlie and their 3 musicians take some pleasure on stage in front of public.
