On the way, riders can enjoy the picturesque views of rice fields, coconut plantations, and charming small towns. The route is dotted with numerous local restaurants and cafes where riders can stop and indulge in the delicious Thai cuisine. The park is home to a beautiful waterfall, Namtok Phlio, which cascades down from a height of 15 meters. The waterfall is surrounded by lush green forests, and the sound of cascading water provides a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The park also offers various hiking trails, and riders can take a break from their motorcycle and explore the park on foot. After spending some time in the national park, riders can head back to Pattaya, which is around 150 km away. On the way, riders can visit the Chanthaburi province, which is famous for its gemstones and is often referred to as the “City of Gems.” The province is also home to the Chanthaburi old town, a charming town that is known for its unique architecture and historical landmarks. “Big Sur is the California that men dreamed of years ago.” -Henry Miller

Ride the entire Big Sur coastline from Carmel-by-the-Sea to San Luis Obispo on this intermediate level tour. We’ve been waiting years for Highway One to reopen so we could ride here again! From Pebble Beach to Hearst Castle view crashing surf, elephant seals and the southern-most redwood forests. South of Cambria, pedal through famous coastal communities like Morro Bay and Pismo Beach. Inland, ride through some of “golden” California’s finest terrain: wide valleys of vineyards flanked by rolling hillsides covered in scattered groves of live (evergreen) oak. Explore Edna Valley, producer of premium wines, and host to a diverse array of charming wineries.

Pedal Happy: While it is indeed a spectacular route, much of the cycling on this tour is along Highway One. Riders should be comfortable cycling on a highway with some traffic.

Meet in San Jose. Cruise 17-Mile Drive and Pebble Beach on your way to Carmel-by-the-sea.

– Lunch – Dinner

Pine Inn or Tradewinds

30 miles (or more)

+1,453 ft / -1,196 ft

Meet us in San Jose, CA. Head out to bicycle one of the most famous roads in the region: iconic 17-Mile Drive. Stunning coastal vistas unspool as we ride past Pebble Beach’s fabled mansions and golf course, through pine forest and along the oceanfront, passing the reefs and tide pools of Bird Rock, the white sands of breathtaking Fanshell Beach and the famed Lone Cypress tree. Watch for deer, black cormorants, brown pelicans and California sea lions. Spend tonight at the Pine Inn or Tradewinds in Carmel-by-the-Sea, where Clint Eastwood once held office as mayor.

Ride the coast south from Carmel across the Bixby Bridge to Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park - home to the southern-most redwood forests.

– Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner

Fernwood Resort, Big Sur

+2,234 ft / -2,320 ft

Pedal the weathered coastline from Carmel-by-the-Sea to the community of Big Sur. Follow the dramatic knolls and tumbled rock headlands of the Cabrillo Highway (aka Highway One): enormous live oaks, green-and-gold hillsides, pale sand dunes and the blue Pacific Ocean. Ride across Bixby Bridge, a historic open-spandrel arch bridge that brought automobile travel to the central coast. Finish cycling early in the afternoon. Relax at the hotel or take advantage of the beach or one the amazing hikes at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. Stay at the Fernwood Resort .

Pedal the most dramatic and remote section of the central-California coastline.

Ragged Point Inn

50 miles (or less)

+5,315 ft / -5,117 ft (or less)

Ride south today from Big Sur to Ragged Point on the most spectacular, rugged, and remote section of the central California coastline. The road is carved into the seaside cliffs and a new stunning seascape opens up around every corner. It’s a long day so you may want a boost over the first (or last) climb. This is not a problem at all – whatever transportation you choose the vistas are unforgettable! Contemplate the end of a great day with cliff-top cuisine and a great view at Ragged Point Inn .

Rolling coastal hills, Hearst Castle, an elephant seal beach, and delightful Cambria.

– Breakfast – Lunch

Rigdon House

24 miles (or more)

+972 ft / -1,257 ft (or more)

Take one last look from on-high before we descend from Ragged Point. South of here, a swath of rolling hills guards the coastline from the steep mountains and the road runs closer to the water. The rock outcroppings dotting the waters just offshore may be a hazard to ships, but they also provide prime marine life habitat. Pause to visit one of only two beaches in California where elephant seals come ashore in late fall to mate and teach their young to swim. After lunch by the beach, enjoy a guided tour of journalism baron William Randolph Hearst’s opulent home in San Simeon – Hearst Castle. Lodging is at Cambria’s Rigdon House , a historic boutique hotel. Dinner is on your own in town, with plenty to choose from within easy walking distance.

Cycle though Morro Bay on your way to Pismo Beach and dig your toes into the sand!

SeaVenture Beach Hotel

+1,737 ft / -1,773 ft

Today’s ride is a veritable variety show. Sweeping curves of coastline are punctuated by surfers and beachgoers. Rolling fields and pastures are dotted with live oaks, racehorses, and honest-to-goodness cowboys. While the mileage is longer today, the hills are not as challenging as they were along Big Sur. Refuel your legs with a seaside picnic lunch in Morro Bay beneath landmark Morro Rock. Continue bicycling south to the white sands of Pismo Beach, halfway point between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Go for a swim in the ocean to cool off, or just soak up some rays by the surf. Relax and enjoy beachfront lodging and dining at SeaVenture Beach Hotel – the only hotel and restaurant (literally) on Pismo Beach!

"WINE" down with a ride through Edna Valley's vineyards before returning to San Jose.

– Breakfast – (Lunch is on your own)

19 miles (or more)

+1,333 ft / -1,145 ft (or more)

Wind (“wine?”) down with a peaceful inland ride on country roads past the vineyards of Edna Valley outside San Luis Obispo. Known predominantly for its Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs – stop for a taste of the region’s finest and make a toast to a wonderful week. Have lunch on your own while we load bikes for the drive back to San Jose (about 3.5 hours, traffic depending).

A point to note is that unlike some other “big bike” touring companies, you will always be accompanied by a native English speaker plus a Thai guide so there’ll be no language confusion or issues.

We believe that you’ve earned your break and that your time with us should be hassle and worry free so our bikes are in tip-top condition and only use quality consumables such as Pirelli or Metzeler tyres, EBC brake pads and RK or DID chains. Accommodations are generally of 3 star plus and most have pools and are conveniently located if we are staying in town. We’ll take care of you without cossetting you as we know motorcyclists generally value their independence, but we are able and willing to help if or when necessary.

You’ll also notice that our tour offerings are somewhat limited if you put us up against our competitors in the region. We see this as an advantage as we have chosen to specialise and get to know Thailand, Laos and Myanmar extensively rather than spread ourselves thinly in the quest for growth by sub-contracting out tours and therefore losing the opporunity to oversee the quality being delivered. “Small is beautiful” as the saying goes. It also means that we can react quickly to requests without waiting for a reaction from a chain of command or dismissing it as it’s not on our regular tour menu.

If this has done enough to entice you further, please use the contact form below to get in touch and we can arrange a video chat via WhatsApp or one of the other social media platforms so as we can answer any questions you may have and prepare you for an amazing motorcycling experience!

Fantastic pub tour with our guide Jamie yesterday, despite the crazy London weather. Jamie was extremely knowledgeable, with great tidbits of information on both the history of beer and the culture of beer drinking in England. He had wonderful humor, was captivating with his stories, attentive to the questions posed by those on the tour, and simply provided a wonderful and unique experience. I cannot more highly recommend this tour for anyone traveling to London and looking for something unique and fun to do! Well done! My 21 year old son had a blast as well. Lori C. West End Beer Tasting Pub Tour
The Versailles Bike Tour was a highlight of our trip to Paris! We LOVED the incredible market filled with fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, cheeses, bread and flowers, and exploring the grounds of Versailles was such a memorable and special experience. Our tour guide, Richard, was INCREDIBLE! Highly recommend this amazing tour. MIchelle C. Versailles Bike Tour
Excellent! Enjoyed the whole ride from the sites to biking through some of the piazza restaurants. Saw some hidden gems in Rome. Michael Rome Night Bike Tour
Dan was an excellent tour guide. We have done 4 Fat Tire Tours so far but our first was in Munich and none have disappointed. The sites were great as well as the information. And the Bier Garten was exceptional. A beautiful evening in Munich with the sunsets and cooler temperatures. A certain must adventure to do when you visit Munich Christopher R. Munich Night Bike Tour
Our guide Olivia was really friendly and felt she was knowledgeable of the area even though she was not a local. We got to see lots of the city we wouldn’t have by car and really enjoyed it. Garry San Francisco Segway Tour
Amazing tour, so much fun and informative. Gave me quite a bit of insight into the different elements in Berlin’s history. The tour is very well organized, bikes are in excellent shape, and the 3 hour duration was just about right. Our tour guide Alicia was super friendly. She knows Berlin and its history very well, and explained everything in an easy and fun way. She also helped with recommendations on what to do in Berlin beyond the tour. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Berlin Khaled N. Berlin Highlights Bike Tour
Our tour with Chris was very good with al lot of information, nice stories, jokes and enough time to visit and watch the beautiful buildings and monuments in Washington DC. Our children, 17, 16, 14 and 12 years old also enjoyed it very much. Sandra Washington, D.C. Day Bike Tour
A great tour. Nice to hear the history behind the building you are climbing up in. Our tour guide was wonderful and gave us a lot of information. It’s a long climb up to the top but you can’t beat the views of Florence once you are up there. Kendra L. Florence Small Group, Cathedral, Museum and Rooftop Dome Tour
Thank you for a great tour! We had Alicia as our guide. She had a great knowledge about the history of Berlin and communicated in a manner anyone could follow! Touring the city on the bike was a great experience as we saw much more than we could have by foot within the same period of time. Signe B. Berlin Highlights Bike Tour
Elena did a wonderful job! She was fun, enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable. She taught us a lot about  Gaud i and Barcelona history, and gave great restaurant recommendations! I was nervous about biking in the city, but felt very safe in the bike lanes. It was a fun way to see the city Pam Gaudi Bike Tour with Skip-the-Line Sagrada Familia Ticket

Could primož roglič pull the brakes on a tadej pogačar parade tour de france ‘big 4’ form guide, is roglič hot or is he not is evenepoel a podium contender and can vingegaard find form rating the favorites for the tour de france 'maillot jaune'..

Eighteen days and counting. The clock is ticking fast for Tour de France favorites Tadej Pogačar , Primož Roglič , Remco Evenepoel , and Jonas Vingegaard .

So who of the Tour de France “Big 4” is looking hot and who’s a little more “not” in this last freewheel toward the Firenze grand départ ?

The final clues were delivered last week when Roglič and Remco put on a show at the Critérium du Dauphiné .

Roglič’s a riddle. And like Vingegaard and Pogačar, Evenepoel is racing the clock.

Now the pre-Tour racing is over, here’s how things stand ahead of the oncoming yellow jersey royal rumble:

Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates)

Pogačar

2024 palmarès: Giro d’Italia GC + 6 x stages; Liège-Bastogne-Liège; Strade Bianche, Volta a Catalunya GC + 4 x stages Key TdF teammates: Adam Yates, Juan Ayuso (injured at Dauphiné), João Almeida Where is he now? Altitude camp, Isola 2000

It seems like only an act of apocalypse will stop Tadej Pogačar from emulating Marco Pantani this summer.

He steamrollered the Giro d’Italia while he was nosebreathing and was never once run into the red.

He delivered an emphatic time trial win that refound his mojo for the race against the clock and won every mountain stage he set his sights on.

Heck, “The Slayer” even had time to hand out gifts along the way, whether they were bidons , jerseys, or stage wins.

“I can take a lot out of this performance and how I was feeling on the bike. After some good rest maybe I can even improve,” Pogačar said after he took a bite of the Trofeo Senza Fine . “I think I’m on a good path for the next part of the season.”

A dream come true. Thanks to everybody who made it possible. Grazie Mille Italia❤️ pic.twitter.com/jOxPlimMnF — Tadej Pogačar (@TamauPogi) May 26, 2024

Pogačar’s biggest problems in the next few weeks are the clicking clock of time, and the status of his teammates.

UAE Emirates designed Pogačar’s whole program so he would emerge from the corsa rosa without excessive fatigue.

A five-week turnaround between the Giro’s Roma closer and the Firenze grand depart will test the team’s physiology nerds to the utmost. Pogačar has to soak in the Giro gains, do some recons, and rebuild in the space of just 34 days.

He’ll need to be good from the Tour’s spicy opener in Italy and stage 4’s trip into the high French Alps, and be able to peak once more for the Tour’s tough final week.

Meanwhile, Vingegaard, Roglič, and Evenepoel will be charting a different trajectory. Fatigue might bite Pogačar just when his three foes are getting into their post-injury grooves.

Rest and recovery will be front of mind all through team UAE Emirates.

Tour de France-bound Juan Ayuso was bashed, bruised, and a DNF in a crash that brought down half of Pogačar’s “Team TDF” on stage 7 of last week’s Dauphiné.

Tim Wellens, Pavel Sivakov, and Nils Politt also suffered damage in a rain-slicked pile up that put UAE Emirates into the infirmary.

Yet if Pogačar gets things right between the Giro and the Tour, he might not even need any teammates to tow him through France.

Primož Roglič (Bora-Hansgrohe)

Will victory at the Dauphiné carry through to the Tour de France for Roglič?

2024 palmarès : Critérium du Dauphiné + 2 x stages Key TdF teammates: Aleksandr Vlasov, Jai Hindley Where is he now? TBD, altitude camp in Tignes on the schedule

Primož Roglič, he’s the eternal riddle of the grand tour peloton.

He dices with defeat while he holds a winning hand. He’s tasted tarmac more times than most of the peloton put together. And his post-race interviews digest like a great big nothingburger.

Roglič continued to tread his eternal tightrope between victory and misery last week at the Critérium du Dauphiné.

He crashed twice, won stages twice, and nearly unraveled in the race’s final kilometers .

It certainly wasn’t a performance on par with the tyranny typical of a top-level Tadej Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard. The 34-year-old’s stage-wins were measured in seconds, not minutes. His overall victory was as marginal as it gets.

That said, things are starting to stitch together for Roglič and his band of baby Red Bulls.

A top-level TT and two mountaintop wins show Roglič has finally bedded in to all-things Bora after he initially struggled to adapt to life away from Jumbo-Visma.

Better still for Roglič, Aleksandr Vlasov was on a tear, and the rest of his Bora-Hansgrohe climber crew stepped up to a level befitting the team’s Tour de France ambition .

“It’s definitely something we needed with the team, to work on the positioning, the communication, many things,” Roglič said Sunday after he sealed his second overall title at the prestigious tune-up race.

@rogla : le retour du roi @rogla : the return of the king #Dauphiné ✍️ @maximelth pic.twitter.com/fZdX8Ggue8 — Critérium du Dauphiné (@dauphine) June 9, 2024

Things rarely run smooth on the Roglič rollercoaster, and the Dauphiné proved that once more.

But behind the chaos, things might be pointing the right way for “Rogo” in his long pursuit of Tour de France perfection.

Unlike Evenepoel and Vingegaard, he rebounded from the Basque crash without severe injury and saw no serious impact on his race program. And unlike any “serious” Tour de France contender, he’s not just raced the Giro d’Italia.

The Critérium du Dauphiné was historically seen as a signal of the next Tour de France winner.

Altitude camp, deliver at the Dauphiné, altitude camp, Le Tour . It’s the tried-and-tested template for a maillot jaune .

And that’s the exact pathway pedaled by Roglič the last few months.

However, more recently, the Dauphiné doesn’t always read the runes – just ask recent champions Richie Porte or Dani Martínez.

Likewise, Roglič’s victory last weekend is no sure sign that he’ll swap a Dauphiné yellow jersey for another maillot jaune in Nice six weeks from now.

Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step)

Evenepoel

2024 palmarès: Critérium du Dauphiné 1 x stage; Volta ao Algarve GC + 1 x stage; Paris-Nice 2nd overall + 1 stage Key TdF teammates: Mikel Landa, Ilan van Wilder Where is he now? Altitude camp, Isola 2000

If an “85 percent” Remco is good for seventh at the Critérium du Dauphiné, would an extra 15 percent put Evenepoel onto the podium of his first Tour de France?

Soudal Quick-Step is pinning its hopes on that math.

Evenepoel is racing for the finishing percentage points after he pulled a mixed bag out of last week’s Dauphiné.

He crushed all his GC rivals in the time trial to show he’s well on the comeback trail after he was hospitalized in the Basque Country with a broken shoulder blade and collarbone. But he lost that time back, and more, in the mountains.

The question is whether Evenepoel can rediscover his climbing legs in the next 18 days.

If he doesn’t, his plans for a Tour de France top-5 are toast.

“There’s some time to improve,” Evenepoel said last week after he lost time on stage 7 of the eight-day Dauphiné.

“I’m a guy who needs to race to really improve, to build shape,” he told reporters from high on the Samoëns 1600 summit. “That’s why I’m here. I think it’s good to suffer like this, it’s good for my shape, it’s good for my head, and just for my fighting spirit.”

A strong week for these two in France Both @MikelLandaMeana (10th) & @EvenepoelRemco (7th) concluded a hard #Dauphine in the top 10 overall as they made their return to competition Photo: @GettySport pic.twitter.com/x8I6OdUsv7 — Soudal Quick-Step Pro Cycling Team (@soudalquickstep) June 9, 2024

Evenepoel’s impressive TT win last week suggests he can count on making gains next month in the mostly flat stage 7 Tour de France time trial.

But the hilly romp around Nice on the final day favors Pogačar and Roglič just as much as Belgium’s aero bullet.

And if Evenepoel cracks like he did when he lost 1:46 in just one stage last week, a rider like Pogačar could inflict double that amount of damage in the Tour’s toughest days in the Pyrénées and Alps.

Evenepoel has got a lot to do this month in his boot camp on Isola.

A career-first Tour de France will be a voyage of discovery that tests his temperament, his form, and the whole of the “Wolf Pack” entourage.

It’s not even like Evenepoel et al have muscle memory to fall back on. It’s now been 18 months since Soudal Quick-Step successfully completed a three-week push on GC, back when Evenepoel won the 2022 Vuelta a España.

Evenepoel was an outside bet for the Tour de France podium even before the crash that crushed his shoulder in the Basque Country.

The Dauphiné did little to change those odds.

Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike)

What percent of perfect does Vingegaard need to be for his Tour title defense?

2024 palmarès: Tirreno-Adriatico GC + 2 x stages, O Gran Camiño GC + 3 stages Key TdF teammates: Matteo Jorgenson, Sepp Kuss (sick at Dauphiné), Wout van Aert (TBD) Where is he now? Altitude camp, Tignes

Will Jonas Vingegaard be ready for the Tour de France? It’s the question on the lips of the entire cycling community right now.

It’s possible that nobody has the answer at this moment – not even the double defender himself.

Word out of the Visma-Lease a Bike camp is that Vingegaard is making a rip-roaring comeback from the catalog of injuries he sustained in the Basque Country.

But still, the 27-year-old hasn’t raced since April and is keeping quiet about whether he’ll hit the “100 percent” benchmark set on his title defense.

“I’m working with Jonas every day and I don’t know [if he’ll be at the Tour]. He doesn’t even know it yet,” Vingegaard’s trainer Tim Heemskerk recently told De Limburger . “A lot depends on developments in the coming weeks.”

With less than three weeks until a raw and rude opening stage to the Tour, things are not looking good for the “Killer Bees.”

The hive is near to upside down after a disaster season that put a Tour de France question mark over Wout van Aert and saw the team last week lose key domestiques Dylan Van Baarle and Steven Kruijsiwijk.

Even the ever-reliable Sepp Kuss is sick .

The rise of Matteo Jorgenson is the one bright note for Visma-Lease a Bike as it nurses its way toward the Tour, but nobody is counting on the 24-year-old to prop up a title defense.

And that’s @ Tignes pic.twitter.com/dnqdEIjRiU — Team Visma | Lease a Bike (@vismaleaseabike) June 6, 2024

A champion like Vingegaard won’t ride the Tour de France aiming for the podium.

A delayed comeback at the Vuelta a España might become a more tasty proposition for the 27-year-old if the next weeks don’t go well.

“Jonas is someone that when he starts, he competes for the win. Jonas currently has that status. Otherwise a ‘Plan B’ must be put on the table,” Heemskeerk said.

“Whether 100 percent is enough for him or 95, I dare not say,” Heemskeerk told De Limburger .

Vingegaard could likely crush most of the Tour de France contenders, even at 85 percent. He would start the Tour as fresh as you can get and as hungry as a long-caged tiger.

But it looks like nothing less than perfection will be enough to overpower a seemingly peerless Tadej Pogačar.

It will be a victory if Vingegaard makes it to the start line on June 29.

It will be a miracle if he tops the podium three weeks later.
