Unless the Lady Caroline is fully chartered, there is no exclusivity of the usage of the vessel by any passenger on board. All areas and decks are considered common to all passengers. All food and beverage served on board must be purchased through Lady Caroline. There is a 100-guest minimum to charter the entire yacht.

Our tiki-style boats have a thatched tiki roof,  comfortable cushioned bench seating, standing room high top tables, and BYOB bar, all arranged on our plush, turf deck. Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, each passenger must sign a waiver prior to boarding. Once you book your cruise, an email will be sent to you containing a link to complete your waiver ELECTRONICALLY . If you are booking for a group, the organizer (or person who booked) will need to forward the waiver link to each person in the group via text or email so they can complete it. 

Please make sure all guests have completed their electronic waiver prior to arrival to prevent any delays in your cruise time! ALL check boxes & fields must be filled out including First AND Last name for the waiver to go through successfully. 

Paper waivers are NOT available or accepted . Returning customers must sign a new waiver each time you cruise with us.

Where do you pick up passengers?

All passengers board at the docks located at: 1180 Main Ave, Cleveland Ohio 44113 . Parking is available in the Christie’s parking lot. Look for the Green CLE Tiki Barge flags and boarding signs to your left as you pull in the parking lot – we are docked behind this gate. Please wait at the gate until a crew member checks you in. DO NOT proceed down the stairs prior to check-in.  

• The docks are located to the west of the parking lot
• Please meet at the Pick-up Location at least 15 minutes prior to boarding
• Parking fees may vary day by day depending on the parking attendant/event taking place at the time. CLE Tiki Barge doesn’t have control over parking fees as they are controlled by a third-party parking service.
• Please note, there are many events that take place downtown including concerts next door at Jacob’s Pavilion, street festivals, and sporting events that may affect traffic and parking.
• Please plan accordingly on the day of your cruise.

Is there parking available? If so, is there a fee?

Yes, there is parking available in the Christie’s parking lot where our docks are located. As you pull in, park on the left side of the parking lot near our green flags so you don’t have to lug your food & beverages too far!  

Parking fees will vary by day depending on the event taking place at the time.  CLE Tiki Barge does not have any control over the parking lot, or any fees associated with parking there, as it is controlled by a third-party parking service.  On most days, parking starts at $10.60 via credit card only.

Can I change, modify, or cancel my reservation?

Trip Flex must be purchased at the time of checkout to change, modify, or cancel a reservation up to 14 days prior to scheduled departure (any cancellations made within the allotted timeframe, will be issued a refund less the trip flex amount). This includes date/time changes and increase/decrease in party size. After 14 days, only store credits will be issued . (This will allow us time to fill your slot if you decide to cancel your reservation).

Without Trip Flex, reservations are non-refundable & modifications cannot be made. Only store credits will be issued for cancellations. 

There are absolutely no refunds or store credits for behavior-related cancellations or no-shows.

Am I allowed to smoke on the boat?

No, we are a smoke & drug free vessel so smoking of any kind is prohibited.  Cigarettes, cigars, e-cigs and marijuana are all prohibited. 

In accordance with USCG law, any illegal substances brought aboard any of our vessels or consumed on our vessel must be reported to the Coast Guard and local authority as it is a federal offense to have illegal substances on a commercial vessel.

The crew reserves the right to return to dock without refund if this rule isn’t followed.  

Are children and passengers under the age of 21 allowed on the Tiki Barge?

Of course!  We think everyone should be able to enjoy Cleveland from the water.  Passengers under the age of 21 are allowed on private cruises.  Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian while on board.  Passengers under 21 still count toward the maximum capacity allowed on each vessel.  Please call us to indicate how many children will be in your party so that we have the correct number of children’s PFDs (life jackets) available.  

Children 12 & under may only ride on Original Tiki, Big Kahuna, & XL Barge PRIVATE CRUISES. 

Underage consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited.  Proper Identification is required during check-in. 

What if it is raining the day of my scheduled cruise?

Rain or Shine its Tiki Time! There is a thatched tiki roof that covers most of the boat deck.  A weather cancellation can only be determined by CLE Tiki Barge.

Severe weather-related cancellations will be determined on the day of the scheduled tour (just like a baseball game). If it is raining, the tour will still go on as scheduled. If the weather is severe, CLE Tiki Barge will contact you within 2 hours of your tour. A rain check will be issued for you to book a future cruise at your convenience. Rain checks do not expire. 

Why is prepaid gratuity included?

Just as limo services, restaurants, and numerous venues include gratuity for groups, our staff is highly trained to ensure the safety of up to 49 passengers at a time! 

In addition to keeping our guests safe, our team is responsible for maintaining the highest standards in various aspects of your experience. This includes setup & clean-up, cleanliness of the boat, ensuring proper supplies are on board, taking the perfect group photos, and providing a great experience specific to your occasion!

Do you have a bathroom on board?

Yes! Each of our tiki barges have a bathroom on board with TP and hand sanitizer.

Flushing anything other than #1 and the TP provided is strictly PROHIBITED. This includes feminine products (tampons), trash, disposable wipes and anything in between!! These items MUST be placed in the wastebasket provided. A $100 fine will be incurred due to damages caused from PROHIBITED items being flushed down the toilet! 

Keep in mind, this is a boat bathroom with a small holding tank. Due to the capacity, we ask that you be respectful of our crew & customers boarding after you by holding off on #2’s. They shouldn’t have to smell your poo! 

Do you provide food?

Food is not provided; however, you are welcome to bring it on board. Please be sure to bring plates & utensils as we do not provide those items. 

While bringing food & snacks are encouraged, you should be aware that a boat is a free-floating vessel that is affected by waves, wind, and other boat traffic. The bigger the spread you bring, the less likely we’ll be able to cruise the inner harbor, especially on weekends. Since heavy boat traffic creates waves, we do not want to see your food end up on the floor!

Please note, Tipsy Tiki, Original Tiki, & Big Kahuna do NOT have outlets for crock pots, warmers, or anything requiring a power cord.

Can we bring alcohol on board?

Yes, the Tiki Barges are BYOB. We have coolers on board filled with ice to keep your favorite beverages cold. We also have cups, bottle openers, wine openers, & miscellaneous barware available for your use. The boats do not have outlets for blenders or anything requiring a power cord.

GLASS is prohibited as a safety precaution. Beverages in glass bottles (wine, alcohol, mixers, etc) MUST be poured into a plastic cup while on the boat.

You may bring any drinks that you want (in moderation). However, shots are prohibited as is excessive intoxication.

Arriving intoxicated is prohibited and the crew reserves the right to deny entry to the vessel. If a passenger becomes disorderly while onboard, the crew will return the boat to the dock and the passenger will be removed without refund.

Can we decorate?

Heck ya!  We love decorations and themed parties, however, due to the tight schedule between trips, we suggest easy to hang items like banners or table toppers to set up on the bar. Keep in mind, the captain needs to be able to see so items cannot obstruct their vision.

The crew is able to assist with decorations after checking you in, but cannot allow you to start decorating until the prior group has departed the boat and the staff has cleaned.

Is Full Payment Due at the time of Booking?

No! We have a Split Payment option that allows you to book your date & time with $100 down (at least 45 days in advance). The remaining balance can then be split evenly between your group. Here’s how it works:

• You must select the number of guests
• Pick a date & time (at least 45 days in advance)
• Select trip flex and gratuity amount and continue to next screen
• Here, you will select the “Split Payment” option
• Enter credit card details, agree to terms & conditions, and Confirm Booking (A $100 security deposit will be charged within 24 hours)
• You will then receive a link via email that you can share with each member of your group, so each person can make a payment.

*Please note that the $100 security deposit is non-refundable unless trip flex is purchased & trip flex terms will then apply.  

All payments are due 45 days before your trip. If there is an unpaid balance due at this time, the card used to book the trip will be charged at that time. If there are any billing issues with the remaining balance, the trip will be canceled and a store credit will be issued.

Does each boat have seats for everyone in my group?

No. While each Cleveland Tiki Boat has their own capacity limit, the maximum capacity of each boat does not mean that it will have the same number of seats available on the boat.

Example: The Big Kahuna has a capacity for 30 people on board; however, there are NOT 30 total seats. Capacity includes both seating AND standing room to accommodate all 30 people.

What happens when there is freighter traffic?

What happens when there is a delay due to lift bridges.

We try our best to work with lift bridge operators when scheduling our trips. However, train & vehicle traffic can occasionally result in your boat waiting for longer periods of time on one side of the bridge until the bridge is able to be lifted for us to proceed on our route. Unfortunately, we have no control over the traffic patterns, vehicles crossing the bridges, or operation of the bridges themselves.

Does Every Tiki Barge ride get to cruise the Inner Harbor?

There are many factors that determine if we can safely cruise the Inner Harbor.  These factors can include inclement weather, boat traffic, lift bridge issues, even group preferences.  The captain takes all considerations in as a whole to determine the best route for each party.  

Please feel free to request which route you’d like to take prior to departing so that the Captain can plan accordingly.  ** The Tipsy Tiki only cruises the Cuyahoga River ** 

Are your boats wheelchair accessible?

We do our best to accommodate those with wheelchairs. If the person can be carried down the set of stairs leading to the boat docks and onto our boat, then the chair can be unfolded once on the boat, and the person can sit in their chair for the duration of the trip.

Why is there a weight limit?

• Your safety is our top priority, and to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience, we kindly ask our guests to adhere to the weight limit set by the Coast Guard regulations. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!  
• Here are the following weight restrictions per vessel based on the Assumed Average Weight per Person, (AAWPP) of 185 lbs per person .
• Tiny Tiki (Tiki Barge III) 2775 lbs 
• Original Tiki (Tiki Barge I) 6845 lbs 
• Big Kahuna (Tiki Barge II) 8140 lbs
• Extra Large Barge (Tiki Barge IV) 9629 lbs

WHAT WE'RE DOING AS YOUR CREW

GOODTIME III and the Fryan Family have been and continue more than ever to being committed in providing a safe and enjoyable environment and experience for our passengers. You can rest assured as we are strictly adhering to the guidelines set forth by the CDC (Center for Disease Control), the Cleveland Department of Public Health, the US Coast Guard and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. GOODTIME III is an active member of PVA (Passenger Vessel Association) and will implement their guidelines and directives as well. Please keep in mind that we are continuing to endure the repercussions of the virus and the requirements regarding capacities, social distancing and mask mandates will still be everchanging throughout our season. Our policies and procedures may change after we are able to assess how operationally efficient they turn out to be so we ask for your patience and understanding.

• Employees will be required to have their temperature checked before each shift and will be required to wear facemasks.
• Employees will be required to utilize hand sanitizer and hand washing frequently on a consistent schedule.
• Sanitizing stations will be available to all guests and are placed around both the vessel and dock facility.
• All surfaces will be thoroughly sanitized before and after every cruise.
• All employees have attended the food handler and COVID-19 class that has been offered by ServSafe prior to returning to work.

WHAT YOU CAN DO AS OUR PASSENGER(S)

• Per the City of Cleveland mandate, we are requiring that all of our passengers wear a face covering and remain seated as much as possible for the duration of the cruise.
• Please wear a face covering while speaking with crew members or passengers not in your party.
• Please wash your hands often and utilize the provided hand sanitizer dispensers located on throughout our ship.
• Please adhere to all social distancing guidelines and stay at least 6 feet away from other guests.
• If you are sick or symptomatic in any way, please do not come. We can transfer your reservation to another cruise at a later date. It's not much of a "good time" to come aboard when you're not feeling well!
• In order to maintain a safe environment during these continued uncertain times, everyone must continue to do their part to remain safe regardless if you have received the vaccine or not.

WHAT WILL BE DIFFERENT IN THE 2021 SEASON

• We request that you arrive at least 1/2 hour prior to BOARDING time. Your entire party MUST BE present to enter the boarding area. Please maintain 6' feet of distance between your party and other parties in line.
• We respectfully request that you follow protocols you have been using when in public for the last year, e.g. and remain in your area for the duration of the cruise.
• Food and Beverage Service will be offered on a crew regulated, self-serve basis. To continue to comply with social distancing, you will be called up to the concession stand or Bar to purchase food and beverage. For the Narrated Luncheon Cruise and the Dinner & City Lights cruises, the crew will call individual tables up to the buffet and our staff will plating the food.

The GOODTIME III is the largest quadruple-deck, 1,000 passenger luxury ship in Cleveland and offers plenty of room for all passengers, who are not confined to their seats. Whether you choose the top sun decks, the large, semi-open second deck, or the main glass-enclosed lower deck (which is air-conditioned or heated for comfort and wheelchair accessible ), passengers can move from deck to deck and enjoy the cruise however they would like to.

Dinner on the Lady Caroline. Plus a Royal Caribbean Travel Agent event Our hostess Kathy Vesely Killen BDM for RCC invited us. myself and a few coworkers from AAA Travel Agency.. So classy, the ship had engine trouble and we never left the dock. Better to be stuck here then out in the lake. She asked us to stay have dinner and we'll do over another time. She gave a presentation on the new ships for Royal Caribbean Cruise she has been out business manager for years. If interested in a 3-4 day fun cruise call me! Overall the servers did well seeing the ship never left dock. Our Hostess was amazing. The food was ok- banquet food, our problem was tables in order to get you own dish by 1-20 and we were at Table 19. Beautiful evening thanks to the Cleveland skyline.....at the dock :)

Lady Caroline has replaced the Nautica Queen that is retired. It's spacious. Four floors are used for large group entertainment. We went with a large group. First floor is walk in, and has tables and a baby grand piano. Second floor was dining. Very nice heavy hors-d'oeruvres were dinner. Specially drinks were delicious. Service was excellent. Third floor was a large dance floor with seating, and a bar. Fourth floor was the open top with spectacular views of the city. Our cruise on Lake Erie and the Cuyahoga River was about two hours, and docked for an hour. We were there from 5-8 p.m. I would go again.

Salad first with only one type of dressing. Balsamic. Buffet offered: green beans with carrots-Al dente. Mashed potatoes with chives, chicken breast, meat loaf, crab cakes and rolls also pound cake with whipped cream and strawberries. Very pleasant. Waitress needed to be friendly but other waitresses assisted where she fell short. DJ was good. Atmosphere was noisy until guests went to dance. Not a bad lunch affair. Caterer could work on flavors though!

Buffet plate

Exceptional service, value and FUN with out group of 70-80 people on Lady Caroline's first trip. Staff was amazing, getting drinks, and working through the buffet line. Excellent entrees, really tasty fish and chicken. We explored and found the dance floor- DJ was perfect!

The food was not very good. Our lady server was very rude and did not pay any attention to us, so we were forced to have other servers help us, The cruise was nice along the lake and the entertainment was good. For the amount of money that is charged, I would say it was not worth it.

This was so great! Our server was so nice and fun and the dj made a point to mention our anniversary. They accommodated my husbands vegan meal and he said it was amazing. The dancing was fun. It was by no means a packed dance floor but hey, it is what you make it. The view was so cool! We saw a lightning storm in the distance on Lake Erie.

Had a wonderful time yesterday celebrating 34th anniversary. The wait staff was wonderful the buffet was delicious and of course the views of the Cuyahoga River were breathtaking. My bride and I had a wonderful time. Only suggestion- update the ceiling tiles and power wash the exterior. Nevertheless, I give the cruise experience five stars.

Go for the views!! We had perfect weather. Sun was out. Low 80's and light wind. Service was excellent. Drinks were flowing. Food was average hence the three stars. It was a bit confusing on the "masks". When we were boarding we were given a mask. Told to wear it when walking around the ship and up at the buffet. This was not enforced and it was maybe 25% followed the instructions. We did ask and were told "nah you don't have to wear your mask". Would recommend when you have out of town guests.

We had a great time. The food was good and the service was good. It's a buffet style and you get your own food. The waiters were very helpful and help you get your food to the table with if you need. We had a baby with us and it was very hard to get around. Having a stroller was a nightmare. They didn't have anywhere we're kids could sit except for a booster seat which is not suitable for a 9 month old. The booster seat also doesn't have a seatbelt so it was just a big no. They call your tables one at a time and being the first few tables made it so much better. Since we had a baby with us, we had to wait in the line again. It's definitely not wheelchair accessible or stroller accessible. They don't allow strollers on the top deck. Point being, this is not kid friendly. If you are without kids, it's perfect and super enjoyable. Best time to go is weekdays or Friday morning.

On the dinner cruise, the food was not good. It was lukewarm and tasteless. Dinner rolls were cold and hard. Only one salad dressing pre-drizzled and had to ask for more. The service and staff were pleasant. The ambiance was really nice. Carolyn

What is cleveland boat cruise.

Cleveland Boat Cruise is based out of the Rocky River area and offers two cruises with Captain Ray; a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain.  Experience Lake Erie like you never have before by relaxing and having fun on the water.  Captain Ray will customize your outing whether it’s a shoreline cruise, a tour of the Cuyahoga River or a sunset cruise.

What kind of boat will I be on?

Cleveland Boat Cruise runs a 26-foot fiberglass Formula Sun Sport named “Surge”.  The boat is white with gold and blue trim with a Merc Cruiser engine and comfortably seats up to six passengers.  On board are seven adults Type 1 U.S. Coast approved life jackets and two child Type 1 U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets.  “Surge” passed a U.S. Coast Guard safety check and is compliant with all state and federal regulations. 

How much does it cost?

Two-hour cruises are $275. 

How can I book a tour? 

Go to the booking page on the web site.  You can also email Captain Ray at [email protected]  If you are looking for a last minute booking and want to see if the boat is available you call or text Captain Ray at 216-536-9603.

How many passengers are allowed?

Up to six passengers are allowed on “Surge”.

Are infants and children allowed on board?

Up to two children six-years or older are allowed on “Surge”.   Sorry, but toddlers and infants are not permitted. 

Where can we board the boat?

Cleveland Boat Cruise can pick up at one of three locations.  The Emerald Necklace Marina boat launch ramp in the Metroparks Rocky River Reservation in Lakewood, the Edgewater Park boat launch ramps off the Memorial Shoreway in Cleveland or at the Heritage Park boat slip in Cleveland on the Cuyahoga River.

Are waivers required?

Yes, all passengers must sign a waiver and show a photo ID before boarding.

Can I bring my own food and beverage?

Yes.  Beer, wine and hard seltzers are permitted in cans.  Glass bottles and hard alcohol is not permitted.  Feel free to bring snacks and sandwiches on board.  Coolers with ice are provided.  There is no smoking or vaping allowed on the boat.

Can we jam out to tunes? 

Sure thing!  You can connect your phone to the blue tooth stereo system.

Is there a bathroom on board?

No, but there is a porta potty in the cuddy cabin.  Captain Ray recommends going to the bathroom before leaving the dock.

What happens if the weather is bad or Lake Erie is too rough?

Your money will be refunded unless you want to try booking a cruise on another day.  Captain Ray can cancel a cruise if he deems conditions for boating are not safe.
