Diamond Summer Tour on koko Suomen laajuinen, kiertävä, jo 11. kertaa järjestettävä ulkobiljardifestivaali. Tapahtumat ovat kolmepäiväisiä (pääosin pe-su). Pääkisa järjestetään lauantaista sunnuntaihin. Lämmittelykisa/järjestäjän toiveiden mukainen iltakisa pidetään perjantaina.

Järjestelyistä vastaa Diamond Billiards yhdessä Suomen Biljardikauppa Oy:n kanssa. Pelipaikkoina viihtyisät terassialueet ja pelipöytinä Diamondin huippulaadukkaat 7-jalkaiset poolpöydät. Pöytien asennuksesta huolehtii Biljardikauppa.fi.

Kaikilla kisoilla on omat järjestäjänsä. Järjestäjä päättää kisakonseptin pelilajeineen, tasoituksineen, palkintoineen ja osallistumismaksuineen. Kaikki tapahtumat ovat tarkoitettu kaikille iästä ja harrastuneisuudesta riippumatta! Pääasiana on hauskanpito sekä kesäkeleistä nauttiminen!

Diamond DA62 Summer Tour USA 2022

Diamond da62 and air bear tactical tour usa summer 2022.

This summer, Diamond and Air Bear Tactical Aircraft will be joining forces to tour the United States this summer, through to the end of August or Early September 2022.

This tour will mark the inaugural flight of the Diamond DA62 MPP in the United States, and presents an opportunity to showcase its “special mission aircraft” capabilities, and hopefully capture the attention of the law enforcement division. Diamond Aircraft’s partnership with Air Bear Tactical is intended to capitalize on the “mission ready airborne law enforcement solutions, custom designed for specific agency mission requirements” offered by Air Bear Tactical. 

Markus Fischer, Director Special Mission Aircraft stated that they have “put a lot of effort into this demo as it is so important to show the airplane and its capabilities in the field”, going further to state that “we expect a big boost to the US market” and that they’re looking forward to “receiving the first feedback from US pilots and operators to further improve our DA62 MPP capabilities.”

The demo aircraft is expected to be configured with some standard mission equipment familiar to airborne law enforcement operators; a TC-300 electro-optical/infrared sensor, HDX-1100 line of-sight-downlink for broadband communication, Makito X4 video encoder, and AIMS-ISR mission control software. In this solution, Diamond Aircraft seeks to provide a turnkey solution with a single point of contact, that is cost efficient, and has the necessary support for long-term operations.

The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer, and there is no better way to spend a summer night than at a concert! After so many cancellations and rescheduled shows, we are happy to see live music-making such a big comeback! There have been so many tours announced by many of our favorite artists, including Shawn Mendes and Doja Cat. Below we’ve compiled a list of some of the biggest and best tours happening this summer. ☀️

5 Seconds of Summer

Tour: Take My Hand World Tour

Dates: April 3rd - December 10th

We can not wait for this tour! Being postponed almost two years due to COVID-19, 5 Seconds of Summer is finally coming soon to a city near you! Although this tour was initially named the No Shame Tour, it was re-named the Take My Hand Tour in 2022. It kicked off about a month ago and will continue until the end of the year with breaks in between. Opening acts range from COIN, Pale Waves, Hinds, and Lovelytheband. With their fifth album just around the corner, we know they will give it their all on this tour! 🤩

Tour: Wonder: The World Tour

Dates: March 14th - October 27th

Another long-awaited tour is Shawn Mendes’ Wonder: The World Tour! Joined by King Princess, Dermot Kennedy, and Tate McRae, this tour began in March and will conclude in late October. After being rescheduled multiple times, we finally get to see Shawn onstage again! He’s going to give us a tour we will never forget! 😍

International Golf Federation announces 60 qualifiers for men's Olympic golf competition

LAUSANNE, Switzerland – The two-year qualification period for the men’s golf competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games has concluded with Tuesday’s publication of the final men’s Olympic Golf Ranking.

The men’s Olympic Golf Ranking features 60 qualifiers representing 32 different countries. With four qualifiers (Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa), the United States of America is the only country with more than two qualifiers for the 60-player field, which will compete at Le Golf National from Aug. 1-4.

The men’s qualification period for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games commenced on June 17, 2022, and concluded following the U.S. Open on June 17, 2024. The top 15 world-ranked players were eligible for the Olympics, with a limit of four players from a given country. Beyond the top 15, players were eligible based on the Official World Golf Ranking, with a maximum of two eligible players from each country that did not already have two or more players among the top 15. The host country – France – was guaranteed at least one spot, as is each of the five continents of the Olympics. Two men qualified to represent Team France at Paris 2024: Matthieu Pavon (No. 12 in the Olympic Golf Ranking) and Victor Perez (No. 30 in the Olympic Golf Ranking).

This summer’s competition marks the fifth time golf has been featured as an Olympic sport and just the third time since 1904. Only four men have qualified for each of the last three Olympic golf competitions: Ryan Fox of New Zealand, Gavin Green of Malaysia, C.T. Pan of Chinese Taipei and Fabrizio Zanotti of Paraguay.

The women’s Olympic Golf Ranking will be finalized following the conclusion of this week’s KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Once the women’s Olympic Golf Ranking is finalized, the International Golf Federation (IGF) will send confirmation of the men’s and women’s quota places to the National Olympic Committees. The NOCs will then confirm use of allocated quota places to the IGF by June 27 and the IGF, in turn, will reallocate all unused quota places before the Paris 2024 Sport Entries Deadline on July 8.

The IGF will publish a finalized field list for both the men’s and women’s golf competitions on Tuesday, July 2.

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
