Snow Stomper, a boss in the Dream Realm, challenges players with a mix of melee and ranged attacks, along with a devastating Blizzard ability.

Snow Stomper Mechanics

The Snow Stomper starts the encounter with aggressive melee and ranged attacks. It quickly shifts tactics to include significant AoE threats. Approximately 10 seconds into combat, the Snow Stomper unleashes its signature Blizzard, enveloping the battlefield in a freezing storm for 20 seconds. This is followed by a brief 10-second respite before the cycle restarts.

Snow Stomper’s Attacks

• Snow Stomper periodically casts a powerful silence over all enemies, which prevents them from using their skills for an extended duration.
• This skill targets a single hero, dealing a significant amount of true damage that bypasses any armor or shields. Additionally, it inflicts a damage-over-time effect, causing the hero to lose health steadily over the next few seconds.
• Focusing on the hero with the highest current HP ratio, Snow Stomper delivers a mighty blow that knocks the target down. This attack disrupts any ongoing actions and briefly incapacitates the hero.
• Snow Stomper performs a wide arc attack that deals multiple instances of damage to any enemies caught within the radius of one tile. This skill is particularly dangerous and can hit various heroes if they are closely positioned.

Best teams against Snow Stomper

I found that using teams with no healer but have multiple tank heroes are valuable, especially heroes with Life Drain to help more with survivability, but of course if you find yourself struggling to survive, replace some heroes to last longer in the fights.

Note that you need at least two DPS heroes for the team to deal the highest damage you can while balancing having tanky units to last longer. Also, since one of the abilities of the Snow Stomper is freezing a unit until it’s broken, the other DPS hero can help break that quickly.

Standard Tank, Debuffer, DPS team

Based on my testing, this team dealt the most damage and survived the longest against the Snow Stomper. This utilizes the 3+2 faction bonus, increasing the whole team’s HP and ATK. This can also easily break through the Yeti Cell (which freezes a hero) to go back and deal more damage.

Double Debuffer and DPS

Another interesting team is one that utilizes two debuffers. This team balances damage, survival, and debuffs to last longer and deal damage to the boss. Temesia can help lessen the damage dealt by the Snow Stomper while also dealing decent damage to the boss.

Smokey & Meerky Tank with Triple DPS

This team takes advantage of Smokey & Meerky’s healing abilities as they will act as the team’s tank. Position Smokey & Meerky at the front most tile and the other DPS at its back. This team boasts damage and healing, provided your Smokey & Meerky is built enough to tank damage.

Best Debuffer for Snow Stomper: Kruger

As the best debuffer, Kruger reduces Snow Stomper’s physical defense significantly, amplifying your team’s damage output. His abilities are critical in weakening formidable foes, allowing your DPS heroes to deliver lethal blows more effectively.

Best Debuffer for Snow Stomper: Reinier

Reinier is the best character in the game, thus making him a must-have for every player. He offers a valuable debuff that increases the damage taken by the boss, unlocked at the Mythic+ level. He can also add survivability with his skill of healing his teammates.

Alternative Debuffers

Thoran increases the damage taken by the Snow Stomper, enhancing the team’s overall damage output. As a front-line tank, he also absorbs a significant amount of damage.

Brutus lessens enemies’ physical defense and serves as a robust tank for the team, absorbing significant amounts of damage and protecting more vulnerable heroes.

Koko helps with debuffs by increasing the damage the boss takes and also offers damage reduction and healing, which significantly aids team survivability.

Best Buffer

Best Buffer for Snow Stomper: Shakir

Shakir provides crucial haste buffs that increase attack, skill cast, and animation speed, dramatically enhancing the team’s ability to execute strategies quickly and effectively. He also doubles as a tank, offering added durability and frontline stability to the team.

Alternative Buffers

Smokey & Meerky

This duo boosts attack and haste while providing intermittent healing, making them versatile supports. They can also double as the team’s tank while providing buffs, making them a valuable addition.

Lyca lowers the enemy’s defense while boosting your team’s attack speed, enhancing offensive power. She can help your DPS to attack more often, like Marilee, who relies on attacks.

Koko not only debuffs enemies but also significantly boosts the attack power of the entire team, with an additional attack increase to a single ally. This makes her exceptionally beneficial for amplifying the output of your primary DPS heroes.

Best DPS for Snow Stomper: Odie

Odie excels with his “Corroside Dart” ultimate that deals substantial damage upfront and applies a persistent poison effect, damaging the enemy. His skills allow him to maintain this poison, significantly enhancing his sustained DPS.

Best DPS for Snow Stomper: Marilee

Marilee’s mobility and high burst potential make her a standout DPS choice. Her “Mid-Air Shot” ultimate allows her to reposition strategically while dealing increased damage as she levels up, which is crucial for quickly targeting and eliminating key threats.

Alternative DPS

Rhys offers a unique combination of mobility and high-output area damage with his “Flame Barrage,” which covers a wide arc, making him effective against groups of enemies. His ability to move while attacking enables continuous DPS even under control, which makes him better.

Temesia can double as a tank and DPS while also having debuffing skills, which makes her flexible. Her skills enhance her charge and damage output, which scales with her attack speed and haste, making her a formidable force in any DPS role.

Korin’s abilities focus on mobility and true damage, allowing him to protect allies while consistently dealing high damage to enemies. His “Demonseal Spear” and “All-round Tactic” provide both offensive and defensive capabilities.

The  Starshard Spell artifact  is invaluable for teams facing Snow Stomper, providing a team-wide benefit that triggers a flame wave dealing true damage to all enemies after every four ultimate casts.

In the battle against Snow Stomper, strategic planning, understanding each hero’s role, and adapting to the boss’s attacks are crucial. By assembling the best team and employing smart tactics, you can ensure your victory in this icy confrontation.

AFK Journey will have you explore a land of magic as the most powerful sorcerer, Merlin. Gathering allies, you'll take on a variety of enemies, using your companions' unique abilities to overcome different situations.

AFK Journey: Character Tier List

There are several different game modes in AFK Journey that each require careful planning and consideration when it comes to constructing your party composition. As you recruit more characters, your options will open up even more. Below, we'll take a look at some of the best team compositions for both PvE and PvP game modes.

In general, your team composition will change quite a bit depending on the enemies you're facing. As the name suggests, AFK Journey's combat is mostly AFK; you can time and position ultimate attacks, but some game modes don't even let you do that.

This means fights are often decided entirely by your party composition, Resonance Level, and equipment , all of which are set before the fight even begins.

More often than not, you'll want to choose your party members based on what enemies you're facing. This can make giving recommendations difficult, but there are some general rules to follow that will apply universally.

First, you should always consider and prioritize when possible Faction bonuses . Essentially, your entire party will get bonuses to their health and damage depending on how many party members are from the same Faction. If all five members of your team are Graveborn, for example, then your team will have 22 percent more health and attack .

Additionally, you should keep in mind Faction Strategies . Each Faction is strong or weak against one other Faction . For example, Lightbearers are strong against Maulers but weak to Graveborn.

When a Faction is strong against another, it will deal 15 percent more damage . When a Faction is weak to another, it will take 15 percent more damage from them.

Celestial and Hypogean characters are considered as any Faction , and for each Celestial or Hypogean included in your team, all characters will get one percent extra attack and health .

Finally, when building your team, it's generally a good idea to include characters from a diverse set of roles. This means including a Tank, Healer, DPS, Buffer, and Debuffer .

Lots of strong characters can play multiple roles. For example, Kruger is a powerful Tank and Debuffer, while Smokey & Meerky can both heal and buff. These characters will afford you more flexible spots to include anything else you may need for a particular battle.

As mentioned above, building a team in AFK Journey really depends on the situation. Some teams will need more sustain and defensive buffs, while others will want to burst the enemy down as quickly as possible.

Of course, there are some characters that are better at doing these things than others. In general, teams that work well in PvP will also work for story mode, AFK stages, and other PvE activities . You'll almost always want to use a Tank , Healer , and at least two strong DPS characters .

Here are some of the best characters to use for each role.

• Tank : Thoran, Antandra, Brutus, Granny Dahnie
• Healer/Support : Smokey & Meerky, Reinier, Koko, Rowan
• DPS : Cecia, Odie, Bryon, Marilee, Viperian, Rhys, Florabelle, Igor, Vala
• Buffer : Shakir, Lyca, Eironn, Parisa, Kruger
• Debuffer : Kruger, Carolina, Reinier

Playing AFK Journey, you can go to Dream Realm and fight bosses to get prizes.

There are four bosses right now: Necrodrakon, Skyclops, King Croaker, and Snow Stomper. They all have different skills and stats.

About 9 times you can beat each boss to raise your score. You fight a different boss every day.

Each boss is at a different level of hard. The benefits get better as the complexity goes up.

As the difficulty level goes up to Endless Mode, you can’t kill the boss. Instead, you need to do as much damage as you can to get prizes from the score.

If you beat a boss during a season, the difficulty level will not reset. Instead, you will start from the hardest level you reached.

Best Dream Realm Team in AFK Journey

When putting together the best Dream Realm team in AFK Journey, you need to think about many things, such as your hero levels, rise, special gear, Dream Realm pieces, and more.

If you are new to the game game you should use heroes that you have on the highest ascending level. This is because ascend gives you a lot of stats and strong skills.

The Dream Realm features two different types of rewards:

• Ranking Rewards.
• Damage Rewards.

Ranking Rewards

Dream Realm has a world rating system. Your world rank at the end of the day will decide the prizes that you get.

Here’s a table that shows the Dream Realm ranks and their respective prizes.

Based on your end rating, the prizes will be transferred to your account every day at 00:00 UTC.

But these are not the only prizes offered in the Dream Realm.

Damage Rewards

You get prizes for causing a certain amount of damage to the daily boss. The loss is measured in %.

The following table shows all the numbers and their related awards.

The exact amount of these prizes changes according to the boss’s difficulty level. The benefits get better as the level goes up.

Dream Realm Overview

Combat is no exception in the Dream Realm of AFK Journey. You assemble a team of up to FIVE heroes to face a monster and do the most damage possible in 90 seconds.

Dream Realm Rules & Regulations

• The damage you cause is measured in percentages. A larger percentage indicates a bigger prize.
• Players get FIVE opportunities every day to overcome the daily boss. As your Mystic Collection expands, your daily chances might increase to ten.
• Each boss has SIX difficulty levels. After beating the boss on all levels, the Endless Mode will be unlocked.
• In Endless Mode, the monster becomes eternal, enabling players to do more damage and collect even more prizes.

How To Unlock Dream Realm in AFK Journey?

To enter Dream Realm, finish the first 20 steps of the AFK Stage as rapidly as possible.

When you achieve AFK Stage 21, you may access the Battle Modes tab.

The Battle Modes category includes SIX game modes: Dream Realm, Arena (PvP), Honor Duel, Arcane Labyrinth, Battle Drills , and Legend Trial. After completing AFK Stage 20, the first three will be unlocked.

Michele Barmettler, ABM, AGS

Michele has been working in health care for 14 years first in home health and then in hospice care. She has been an Office Manager for 10 of those 14 years. Michele has had several experiences with loved ones involved with hospice care and each experience has been different. The biggest lesson she learned is about the quality of life at the end of life. At Endless Journey, Michele loves the community and the attention for the care given not only to the patient but also the family and beyond.

One of the biggest ways Michele would like to see change in the hospice care industry is that all parties and insurance companies should waive deductibles and co-insurance while on hospice. Her goals for Endless Journey are all about Growth and education. This includes buying their new building and acquiring financing for the 12 suite hospice houses.

When Michele isn’t working hard to bring these goals to fruition, you will find her playing a mean game of cards with her family, golfing and enjoying a football game.

Stacey Fife, RN

Stacey has worked in healthcare for the last 18 years. She started her career as a CNA, obtained an LPN license in 2007 and then graduated with her RN in 2009. In 2016, Stacey’s nursing career switched gears after being a part of an inspiring moment between a nurse and a long-term care resident. This nurse poured all her care and attention into this resident so that he was not alone during his final moments and his family felt loved and cared for too. This nurse’s compassion and love changed Stacey’s life and helped solidify her calling for hospice care.

Stacey believes that the last chapter of life is just as precious and important as the first. It is her mission to spread awareness about the hospice benefit and educate the community about the services that hospice can provide. Most people do not understand how amazing the hospice experience can be for the patients and their families during the most delicate and intimate time of a person’s life. Stacey is honored to be a part of someone’s final journey and to provide comfort and support along the way.

When she is not working, Stacey is busy with her family of eight. Whether at football with her boys or dance for her girls, or at a school event driving the kids from one event to another. They are always on the go. Stacey enjoys staying busy and can’t imagine life any other way.

Dr. Arif Sattar

Medical director.

Dr. Sattar has been practicing in the field of Internal Medicine since 1995. In 2005 Dr. Sattar founded Nebraska House Call Physicians (NHCP) and has dedicated the last 16 years of practice to senior and geriatric care medicine.  In addition to being Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Sattar is also Board Certified in Palliative and Hospice Care and a Certified Medical Director through the American Medical Director’s Association.

As Founder and CEO of NHCP, Dr Sattar’s goal is to provide for the needs of senior patients across the care continuum.  In addition to following your loved ones in skilled or long-term care, NHCP also has a division dedicated to providing “office visits” in the comfort of your home.  Whether you are living in your private residence, Independent Living, or Assisted Living, NHCP is available to be with you every step of the way.

Dr. Sattar and his team look forward to working with Endless Journey Hospice in providing the very best care to your loved ones.

Maria Cunningham-Wilkins RD, LMNT, Chef

Maria joins us from the hospital setting in Kansas. She has such passion and belief that she has chosen to relocate to be a part of the Endless Journey experience. Her background as a Registered Dietician spans from the kitchen as a Chef with over 25 years of experience to the clinical setting as the Manager of Dietary Services.

She has a heart for nourishing others through her support and encouragement, as well as her ability to express this through food. She has designed the Hospitality and Nutrition discipline to include specialized programs to accommodate client needs and the comforts of home.

Family means everything to her, and she considers Endless Journey and each of our clients and family an extension of her own. She has a heart of gold and looks forward to serving each client and family in her own unique and culinary way.

Mandy Sigman HTP, EOLD, C Aromatherapy

Mandy is certified in Massage and Energy at the Massage and Energy Connection College of Application in St. Louis Missouri in 1996. She was brought up on home remedies, using natural elements, plants, and oils her entire life. She has been practicing energy work for over 20 years. Mandy is a certified Aromatherapist, Aroma Apothecary and an End-of-Life Doula through the International End of Life Doulas Association. She is also a Healing Touch Practitioner Level 4 and has worked with Healing Beyond Borders.

Mandy loves to help people meet death well because she believes it is a soul journey, not a physical experience. She believes through holistic interventions such as energy work, aromatherapy and doula care, Endless Journey is able to help people naturally and treat them as a whole person. Mandy believes in care for mind, body, and spirit and is known around the office as the person who is willing to go out of her way to help anyone, anytime.

Kelly Keller

Volunteer coordinator.

Kelly has been working in the field of hospice since 2006. She started working as the Volunteer Coordinator with Endless Journey in 2019, drawn to the unique vision and ethos of Endless Journey.

 Kelly’s personal mission is to help others connect with their best selves and find ways to offer their gifts for the benefit of others. Kelly also coordinates the activities of EJ’s Level Five We Honor Veterans program.  Kelly has been recognized by the Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Association with the Spirit of Hospice Award in 2009 and is an Opus Peace Ambassador and certified Soul Injury presenter. She is an appointed member of the Diversity Advisory Council of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, is actively involved in the National Association of Social Workers – Nebraska Chapter and teaches a hospice class at the University Nebraska Omaha. Kelly has a BSW in Social Work from the University of Nebraska Omaha and a Masters in Practical Theology from Loyola University-New Orleans.

Kelly has been married to her high school sweetheart, Tim, for over 25 years and currently preparing for the empty nest with their youngest son, Daniel, going out of state for college in fall of 2022. 

Katie Ransdell, MS, CCLS

Katie has been working in the field of grief and bereavement since 2017. She began working at Endless Journey Hospice as a Certified Child Life Specialist providing support for child family members of adult clients in 2020. She has since expanded her role and is the Bereavement Coordinator for Endless Journey’s grief support programing. Her passion is to support loved ones as they move through their grief journey and to grow the Omaha community’s understanding of grief and mourning.

Katie is a member of the Association of Child Life Professionals and the National Alliance for Children’s Grief. She has been recognized by the Nebraska Hospital Association with the Caring Kind Award in 2020 and by Children’s Hospital and Medical Center with the Helping Hands Award in 2019. Katie has her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Carroll University and her Master of Science in HHP Child Life from The University of Iowa.

Outside of work Katie enjoys spending time with her family and reading.

You can now dive into the Endless Ocean™ Luminous game and survey the mysterious Veiled Sea, an unexplored region brimming with marine life. Here’s how you can work as a team.

Share the exploration

When you play online, you can either join a shared expedition of up to 10 players with random matchmaking or up to 30 players total with a session ID** in a randomly generated ocean area. But there’s a catch. There’s no in-game voice chat, so you must rely on using friendly gestures to communicate with other divers.

Players start the 60-minute expedition in different quadrants of the map. Swim around and meet up with your fellow explorers to become “sharers”, which allows you to locate and fast travel to each other on the map.

You can also tag creatures and salvage to track their location. Other divers who are sharing with you can see your tags on the map, and vice versa. Work together to survey the area and discover as many sea creatures as you can, including mythical ones and those thought to be extinct.

Using MoSCoW in Agile to Prioritize Better

One of the key ideas in Agile is prioritization – a team needs to understand which features must be done and which can be left behind in order to produce the best result. However, the concept can be quite difficult to grasp when moving from a different project management approach. A prioritization technique called MoSCoW brings great help and clarity in such cases.

First used with Dynamic Systems Development Method, MoSCoW is a technique developed by Dai Clegg . The sole purpose of this prioritization approach is to help understand the importance that the stakeholders put on each of the features and requirements they pose. Thus being able to focus on the exact most important ones first and tacking on the rest only if the team has time left.

The technique requires to divide all of the features into four categories – Must, Should, Could and Won’t. Thus forming the MSCW acronym from which the name MoSCoW appears. In order to know which of the features are crucial, the team has to categorize them into the four groups.

Must have features are absolutely crucial to the project. Should have features are important to the project, but less urgent. Could have features are not as important as they are desirable and should only be completed if there is left over time. And lastly Won’t have features are either not important or not possible at the time and thus are not completed at all.

Once the team prioritizes the features, they create a clear action plan to move forward. First, they have to complete all of the Must have features. Once that is done they can move onto the Should haves. And only after all of the Should haves are done, the team can consider the Could haves. This way the focus is on the most important tasks right away.

What does this have to do with Agile ? It will help teams transition, prioritize and plan better.

Running a first Sprint or a first iteration can and most likely will be tough on any team. You don’t know what you are doing, you are still questioning the process and on top of that now you have to decide with which of the many tasks you will start first. Adding the MoSCoW technique in such cases will bring the team clarity and provide the ability to move forward.

Depending on the process, the team could even divide the backlog into 4 columns based on the four importance groups. This way being able to add the new features straight into the appropriate columns and compare them against each other to get a better sense of their priorities.

While more advanced teams will often see no point of such prioritization and be content with the traditional story point or priority column approach, this can be a great help for new Agile practitioners.

One thing to note though, is that while the MoSCoW technique is usually used only once or a couple of times during the project, for Agile teams this will be different. To accommodate the changing circumstances and planning the right work for each iteration, the technique should be used whenever the priorities switch. Since that could become quite burdensome, the teams should make a note of reviewing their priority columns every time they plan a new iteration.
