Things To Do

Things to do | drake opens ‘it’s all a blur’ tour in chicago, featuring a younger version of drake wearing a cubs jersey.

Drake performs at the "Homecoming" Super Bowl party inside a hangar at a private airport in Scottsdale, Ariz., Feb. 11, 2023.

Drake and 21 Savage delivered a jam-packed setlist for the opening night of the “ It’s All A Blur ” tour that launched at Chicago’s United Center on Wednesday. The show marked Drake’s first concert stretch across North America since the “Aubrey & the Three Migos” tour hit over 40 arenas in 2018.

Drake opened the concert sitting on a couch where he recited “Look What You’ve Done,” a cut from his 2011 album “Take Care,” while reading the lines off of a composition notebook. A younger version of Drake (there’s online debate regarding whether or not the boy is a hologram or if he’s real… it appears to be an actor whose face they’ve digitally altered on the venue’s jumbo screens) regularly appeared beside him for songs released earlier in his discography.

As expected, most of the tour’s visuals are next-level. Inside the venue, a giant statue of Virgil Abloh , the late trend-setter and Illinois native sat beside the stage. During the show, inflatable-looking sperm floated above the audience’s heads.

From there, he dove into a hits-filled set that included “Marvins Room,” “Headlines,” and “The Motto,” tallying up to a total of over 40 songs, according to  setlist.fm .

21 Savage joined the festivities later in the show, making his entrance with “Red Opps,” and teamed with Drake for “Spin Bout U,” “Jimmy Cooks,” and “Rich Flex” from their “Her Loss” collab album. The rapper performed a total of 12 songs on his own while Drake’s solo set doubled that.

During the last few songs, someone in the audience  threw their cell phone  at Drake, hitting him in the arm in the process. In the past few weeks, several pop singers — namely Bebe Rexha, who was left with a black eye after someone hit launched a phone at her — have experienced similar unruly behavior from fans at shows. Drake didn’t react to or address the mishap on stage and closed with a vampish rendition of “Legend” from “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.”

Elsewhere, he took some time to tease his upcoming project, not revealing much besides the fact that it was “coming out soon for y’all.” He will perform a second night at the United Center on Thursday night before heading out to Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena for two back-to-back shows. The much-anticipated tour will continue through early October and wrap with two Toronto dates.

Drake's 'It's All A Blur' Tour Will Look Back At His Career

And he’s bringing 21 Savage.

Drake has announced his first North American headlining tour in five years — and he’s bringing 21 Savage along. The ‘It’s All A Blur’ tour kicks off this summer and will see the rappers playing major arenas throughout the U.S. and Canada during its 29+ date run.

Announced March 13, the tour kicks off June 16 in New Orleans, LA and wraps three months later on Sept. 5 in Glendale, AZ. In between, Drake and 21 Savage will hit most major U.S. cities playing two nights at each location, except New York City, where they’ll play four nights splitting between Brookyln’s Barclay’s Center and Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden. More dates are expected to be announced soon, as well as the rapper’s hometown shows in Toronto.

Drake’s last headlining tour was in 2018 for the Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour. It’s All A Blur , as its name indicates, will be a look-back of sorts at the last decade of the decorated rapper’s career (call it his ‘Eras Tour’). The run will be the first time Drake will be touring albums, Care Package , Dark Lane Demo Tapes , Certified Lover Boy , Honestly, Nevermind , and Her Loss , his 2022 joint record with 21 Savage. While 21 Savage is listed as the tour’s only official guest, it’s unclear if he’ll be opening, or will be performing jointly with Drake on stage.

Tickets start going on sale this week, March 13. Below, see everything to know about attending the tour including the full schedule, and how to buy tickets.

Drake Tour 2023: Dates, Tickets & More

drake tour 2023

Here's everything you need to know about Drake and 21 Savage's 2023 "It's All A Blur" tour including tickets, dates, and more.

As promised, Drake is finally ready to hit the road again for his 2023 tour. In March, the “Search & Rescue” rapper announced the It’s All A Blur tour alongside his Her Loss collaborator, 21 Savage . It marks his first tour in five years since hitting the road with the Migos for the Aubrey & The Three Migos tour. However, since the tour announcement, there have been several changes to the itinerary, including re-scheduled dates and additional shows to accommodate the high demand. Nonetheless, the upcoming tour is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events of the year. Following the announcement of new tour dates, we broke down everything you need to know about Drake and 21 Savage’s 2023 tour, including cities, dates, and more.

Where Will Drake Perform On The 2023 Tour?

Drake’s forthcoming tour will solely serve the North American market, for now. In support of Her Loss , Drake and 21 Savage will perform in 28 cities across America and Canada across 54 dates, beginning in Memphis, TN on June 29th. The tour will continue from July to October as they hit major markets including multiple shows in New York City (4), Los Angeles (2), Chicago (2), Inglewood (4), Detroit (2), and back-to-back dates in their respective hometowns of Toronto and Atlanta.

Due to the overwhelming demand, they’ve not only added dates but rearranged their concerts. Drake and 21 Savage initially planned to launch their tour in New Orleans, followed by dates in Nashville, Houston, Dallas, Miami, and Atlanta from June 16th, 2023 to July 2nd, 2023. Now, they’ve been pushed back to September, while cities like Memphis, TN, and Colombus, OH have now been added to the tour date.

When Do Drake Tickets Go On Sale?

Tickets for the Drake tour went live the week that he announced the shows. However, with new shows in Memphis (June 29), Columbus (July 1), Brooklyn (July 21), Milwaukee (August 3), Inglewood (August 16), Glendale (September 6), Denver (September 8), Austin (September 11), Charlotte (September 22), Nashville (October 1), and Toronto (October 5 & 7), tickets go live this week.

A CashApp card pre-sale went live on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023 at 12 p.m. The following day, Thursday, April 27th, 2023, Sprite and Chase Bank will also launch a pre-sale. Similarly, Live Nation also has a pre-sale event on April 27th (access code: VINYL ). Tickets for the general public will be available on Friday, April 28th at noon, local time, through Ticketmaster and DrakeRelated.com .

Otherwise, fans could purchase tickets from StubHub. The ticket resale company ensures that each order is delivered to the buyer through the StubHub FanProtect Program. Be warned, though: purchasing from a reseller could lead to higher ticket prices than Ticketmaster.

Drake performs onstage with a mic in hand.

Just hold on, we’re going on tour.

After teasing a U.S.and Canada jaunt back in December, Drake has finally officially announced his summer 2023 ‘It’s All A Blur’ tour with 21 Savage.

The Toronto-based rapper will play arenas all over North America from June through September .

“Ah, man, I can’t wait to see the people, “ Drake said in his late 2022 podcast appearance talking about his upcoming nationwide trek.

“It’s different when you’re performing, you look out in the crowd, someone locks eyes with you and you can just tell it’s a moment.”

Prior to the tour, Drake is scheduled to headline alongside J. Cole, Usher and Burna Boy at Raleigh, NC’s Dreamville Festival from April 1-2.

Then, midway through the 29-show run, Champagne Papi’s tour stops in New York City for four huge concerts — first up, he’ll play Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on July 17 and July 18 ; the next week, he swings into NYC’s Madison Square Garden for back-to-back gigs on July 25 and July 26 .

‘It’s All A Blur’ will be the hitmaker’s first since his 2018 “Aubrey & The Three Migos Live!” Tour.

And if you need to score tickets today, our “Motto” is that we’re here to help make that happen .

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, March 17, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Drake 2023 tour schedule

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found below.

Drake opening acts

At all shows, Drake will be joined by his oft-collaborator 21 Savage.

The 30-year-old rapper is known for his singles “A Lot” and “Rich Flex” as well his verses on “Creepin'” and “Jimmy Cooks.”

Most recently, he put out the single “Peaches and Eggplants” with Young Nudy.

Drake set list

Although Drake hasn’t toured in five years, he did perform two nights at New York City’s Apollo Theater on Jan 21-22.

Each show was a true, all-out career retrospective — both nights, he played over 40 tracks including “One Dance,” “Passionfruit,” “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” “Started From The Bottom” and “Laugh Now, Cry Later” as well as a handful of surprising covers.

If you want to see what Drake played on both nights as well as what he’s played at every gig as far back as his first show in 2009, take a look at Set List FM .

Drake new music

Drake is nothing if not prolific.

In 2022, he released two albums, “Honestly, Nevermind” and “Her Loss.”

Before that, the Toronto native and former “Degrassi” star dropped the 21-song “Certified Lover Boy” in 2021.

This year, he collaborated with Popcaan on the sure to be club favorite single “We Caa Done.”

Not going to be broke boys after this. After five years of not touring, Drake tickets are selling out really quick. The Canadian rapper just dropped tour dates with Her Loss collaborator 21 Savage and fans are scattering to get tickets to their concerts stat.

It’s been five years since Drizzy hit the road when he toured with the Migos members Quavo, the now late Takeoff and Offset for his Aubrey & The Three Migos tour. At the time, the OVO Sound founder performed his album Scorpion  and his classics while Migos delivered songs from their  Culture II LP.

The “God’s Plan” rapper teased out his plans for performing in 2023 in an interview with online gambling website Stake on  December 17, 2022. “Tour. Ah, man, I can’t wait. You know, it’s so unfortunate. The other day I was rehearsing a bunch of days and one of the shows got pushed back. But yeah, man, I’m just looking forward to going. It’s like one thing to make the music but to see it is the most gratifying feeling.”

Drake and 21 Savage collaborated on the album Her Loss in November 2022 and yes, they do know it’s a good album. In the same interview, Drake said that one of his favorite memories was when a party was vibing and enjoying the music and he made eye contact with 21 Savage and that’s when he knew that they’d made something “special” together. Her Loss  debuted at number one on the US  Billboard  200 with 404,000 album-equivalent units, including 12,000 pure album sales, replacing Taylor Swift’s  Midnights from the top spot.

Drake 21 Savage

“That was probably my favorite memory too,” 21 Savage said of the party in question in an interview with Complex . “With my music, I don’t listen to it. I record it, and if I like it, I know it’s going on the album, but I don’t overly drive around to my music because I will stop liking it. I learned from the past when I was younger, I’d make some hard s—, like ‘Bank Account.’ I rode around to ‘Bank Account’ for two weeks straight and I stopped liking the song. So when Issa Album  came out, I didn’t think ‘Bank Account’ was going to do s— because I stopped liking it. So now I don’t overly listen to my s— before it comes out.”

The “Rich Flex” rapper continued, “ With Her Loss,  I would just do my verses, send them to Drake, and then I wouldn’t listen to them again. He would send it back with his verses, I’d listen to it once, and then never listen to it again. So when we were in the club, that was my first time hearing it cohesively as a project,” he said. “Hearing it all the way through in the club, I was just like, ‘Damn, this s— hard as f—.’ I ain’t heard a project like this in a long time, honestly, probably since [Lil Baby’s 2020 album] My Turn.  This is like a real album you can ride to from top to bottom, that’s what I was thinking in the club. I just remember feeling proud of him because he put it together the right way, from the tracklist and everything.”

On the memes that derived from “Rich Flex” when Drake raps “21 can you do something for me?,” Drake reflects, “I was just like, you know what? I understand after all these years that I feel like I have a polarizing presence, I’m almost a character in people’s movies, and therefore, there’s a running dialogue. There’s jokes. You’re either the villain to some people or hero to some people. It is what it is. It just comes with the territory.” Read on for where to buy Drake tickets to his “It’s All a Blur Tour” with 21 savage.
