Jessie Ware Announces Fall 2023 North American and UK Tour Dates

That feels good due out this friday via pmr/interscope.

Jessie Ware is releasing a new album, That! Feels Good! , this Friday via PMR/Interscope. Now she has announced some new North American and UK tour dates for this fall. The U.S. shows are in October, followed by some UK ones in November. Tickets for the North American shows go on sale this Friday, at 10 a.m. local time. Check out all the dates below.

Ware had this to say about the tour in a press release: “I have never been more ready to tour an album! Touring my last album was the biggest thrill for me…the dancing, the choreography, I loved it all. The That! Feels Good! tour will be a continuation of that…but even bigger, even better, and even more dancing and a whole lot more of YOU!! Tickets go on sale this Friday, with pre-sales earlier in the week. Buy a ticket, it will feel good.”

Last July Ware shared the album’s “Free Yourself,” a new song that was described as “a taster session” to her fifth album. It was one of our Songs of the Week . Then she shared a video for “Free Yourself.” Then when the album was announced, Ware shared the album’s lead single, “Pearls,” which was #1 on our Songs of the Week list. Then Ware shared a fun music video for “Pearls” in which she did indeed “shake it til the pearls fall off,” as the lyrics to the song go. The album’s third single, the lush “Begin Again,” was shared via a music video and was again #1 on our Songs of the Week list.

Of the new album, Ware said in a previous press release: “ That! Feels Good! stems from over 10 years of understanding who I am, and who I enjoy being as an artist and the thrill of performance.”

Ware added: “ That! Feels Good! is a record to be enjoyed, to sing and shout the words back at me and to each other. It’s a culmination of hard work and total pleasure appreciating the job I have and the worlds I get to dive into. I have never felt so ready for people to hear something I’ve made.”

That! Feels Good! is the follow-up to the acclaimed What’s Your Pleasure? , which was #5 on our Top 100 Albums of 2020 list. A deluxe edition, What’s Your Pleasure? The Platinum Pleasure , came out in 2021 and featured eight bonus tracks, including six new songs (stream it here ).

News: Jessie Ware Announces The ‘That! Feels Good! Live’ Tour

jessie ware uk tour dates

Today, Jessie Ware announces the ‘That! Feels Good! Live’ UK and North America tour, taking place in October and November 2023, in support of her fifth studio album ‘That! Feels Good!’. Covering Manchester, Glasgow and London with a further 7 dates across North America, the tour solace for those aching to get down to the disco grooves in real life. Tickets are on sale Friday at 10am.

Speaking of returning to the road, Jessie Ware comments; “I have never been more ready to tour an album! Touring my last album was the biggest thrill for me…the dancing, the choreo, I loved it all. The That! Feels Good! tour will be a continuation of that…but even bigger, even better, and even more dancing and a whole lot more of YOU!! My biggest UK shows ever!! Tickets go on sale this Friday, with pre sales earlier in the week. Buy a ticket, it will feel good x”

The announcement comes shortly after the release of the recent single and music video ‘Begin Again’, directed by Charlie Di Placido. The track was one of the first songs to be written for the upcoming album, That! Feels Good! and was inspired by her time spent in South America encompassing the heat, sweat and sensuality of Brazil. The video features Jessie as the pivotal figure throughout, she moves back and forth between a dimly lit space shadowed by withdrawn dancers, across to a rich and rusty velour backdrop where she finds a new sense of freedom along with her championing dancers.

About her fifth studio album: “That! Feels Good! Is a record to be enjoyed, to sing and shout the words back at me and to each other. It’s a culmination of hard work and total pleasure appreciating the job I have and the worlds I get to dive into. I have never felt so ready for people to hear something I’ve made.”

‘That! Feels Good!’ is the follow up album to 2020’s ‘What’s Your Pleasure?, which proved her status as one of the UK’s most influential artists and became her highest charting album to date. It included singles ‘Save A Kiss’, ‘Spotlight’ and Barack Obama approved ‘Remember Where You Are’ (added to his NYE playlist). Last year saw Jessie support juggernaut Harry Styles in the USA, gain 2.4 billion global streams and complete a fantastic run of live shows including career defining sets at Glastonbury and Primavera. She continues to cement herself as a formidable force and at the forefront of UK pop.

Jessie has succeeded in audaciously mulching several decades of party music into an album so relentless as a playlist. Letting her own inhibitions, anxieties and expectations placed on her go. Jessie is not only a person in control, but someone at the peak of their game.

The jaunt was previously moved from April 2021 to December due to ongoing concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

Jessie Ware Announces Tour Dates For 2023

jessie ware uk tour dates

There’s a delicious feeling of freedom to be found throughout Jessie Ware’s new album That! Feels Good! It’s the sound of a person letting loose and letting go and encouraging everyone else to do the same. This blissfully joyful record, underscored by a frankly sensational vocal from Ware, radiates self-determination, boundless energy, supremely good vibes and a generosity of spirit. And groove. So. Much. Groove. Yet That! Feels Good! also resounds with an ebullient ease; an unforced and unhurried spirit runs throughout each and every one of the 10 tracks.

Mercury Prize and 6-time BRIT nominated singer and songwriter Jessie Ware returns with a phenomenal new album that establishes why Ware is one of the most revered, admired and loved voices at the forefront of British Pop music. That! Feels Good! is the follow-up to Ware’s fourth studio album, 2020’s What’s Your Pleasure. Entering the UK Album Charts at number three, What’s Your Pleasure is Jessie’s most successful record to date, bringing her total album sales to 2.2 million worldwide alongside 2.4 billion global streams. A popular podcaster too, Jessie and her mum Lennie host the number one, NME-award winning podcast “Table Manners”, which has been streamed over 50 million times to date. Accompanied by a bestselling book and sold out UK tour, guests have included Dolly Parton, Sir Paul McCartney, Dua Lipa, Baz Luhrmann, David Schwimmer, amongst many more.

Jessie Ware talks 'naughty' new album, Harry Styles and turning down Prince: 'I'm an idiot'

N EW YORK – When you press play on Jessie Ware 's new album, you might think you've stumbled on an X-rated site. That's entirely by design.

The British pop singer's fifth album, " That! Feels Good! " (out now), begins with a chorus of breathy voices moaning those titillating words , before catapulting into a James Brown-style funk fantasia.

Talking to producer James Ford, "I was like, 'Look, I think we should make it quite cinematic and slightly unnerving, so people are like, 'What am I listening to? Have I just entered the wrong room of the party?'" Ware says. "I just thought it'd be funny to ask all my mates to do different versions of, 'That feels good!'"

Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.

Fellow disco queens Kylie Minogue and  Róisín Murphy are among the bawdy multitude, as is Ware's own mother. "It was hysterical to hear how different people interpreted that (line)," Ware says. "Some people fully rose to the occasion. Some failed miserably."

The album aesthetic is 'classy but naughty'

"That! Feels Good!" is Ware's first album since 2020's " What's Your Pleasure? ", which found the artist pivoting from lovelorn torch songs to euphoric dance music. She was adamant to try something different this go-around, meaning more instruments, bigger vocals and an even deeper pool of influences: channeling Marvin Gaye and  Blondie on the sultry "Beautiful People," and nodding to  Gil Scott-Heron and Earth, Wind & Fire on lush album closer "These Lips."

The record's retro feel is reflected in the high-camp visuals, which – as they say  – are giving the gays everything they want. Ware is dripping in pearls, with hair teased to the heavens, on the topless album cover. She looks similarly glamorous donning feathers and lace in the music video for "Pearls," which also soundtracks the trailer for HBO Max's " And Just Like That..." Season 2 .

"They're always in my mind," Ware says of her LGBTQ fans. "(The cover) is a nod to '60s and '70s pinup stuff. I wanted it to feel almost like – I don't know if I should say this – an arthouse porn poster. It's classy but naughty."

Jessie Ware says she found 'an escape' in dance music

Ware teased the album last summer with triumphant single "Free Yourself," a thumping, disco-house anthem about no longer hiding one's true self. The song reflects Ware's own liberation, after the critical and commercial disappointment of 2017 album "Glasshouse."

"I wanted to escape into dance music," she says. "It was just the greatest remedy for me, because it meant that I wasn't so serious and I wasn't so scared."

Although she didn't write "Free Yourself" as a conscious reflection on her career, "I can now interpret it to feel like a message to myself that I needed. But it's just a good sentiment to anybody. It's probably something I could have done with a few years ago."

Since the release of "What's Your Pleasure?," Ware's fan base has seemingly exploded stateside. Her headlining shows in New York and Los Angeles sold out within seconds last fall, as did dates on her upcoming "That! Feels Good!" tour. Still, the singer feels like a best-kept secret among pop-music fans.

"The secret's probably a bit less kept," Ware says. "I have a really strong fan base here, but it may not be the biggest fan base. I believe they will always want to come and watch me for years, and that satisfies me."

The singer wowed with 'risky' Cher cover, opening for Harry Styles

Ware's star has risen this past year thanks in part to her viral cover of Cher's "Believe,"  which she performed with a live orchestra and hopes to include on a deluxe version of the new album. "I like a sad banger," Ware says. "It was slightly risky because you're doing an icon. Not many people can emulate Cher, but I didn't try to."

The singer also nabbed a high-profile slot opening for Harry Styles during a half dozen concerts in Chicago last fall, and even joined him to perform his hit  "Cinema."

"He's a great guy," says Ware, who has known Styles for years. "He's very thoughtful with whom he selects as support, and he's very generous as well, in the sense of how he speaks about you every night (onstage)."

Ware says she enjoyed narrowing down her usual set list to roughly seven songs, "like, 'Let's try and grab their attention. Let's entertain them before they see Harry.' It was a challenge, like, 'How are we gonna do it? We did it. We tackled it. Got some new fans.' "

She still regrets turning down Prince to tour wedding venues

Ware, 38, has three young children with husband Sam Burrows. Two of them, ages 4 and 6, came to her shows in LA after she wrapped her run with Styles.

"They were barely staying awake, but I think it was important for them to see because I'd just been away for two weeks," Ware says. "I wanted to show them that I work hard, but I also have this mad job where I get to entertain lots of people, and for them to realize that you can have real job satisfaction."

The singer has long put family first, even turning down the opportunity in 2014 to open for Prince, who frequently included her song "Wildest Moments" in DJ sets.

"It's mad he even knew who I was," Ware says. His manager "asked if I wanted to open for him, and I was doing a (venue) recce of my wedding in Greece. And I was like, 'I can't do it. Love has to prioritize over Prince.' I really regret it still. I don't regret marrying my husband, but I feel like, if only I could've pushed the recce? I'm an idiot."

Jessie Ware postpones the rest of her UK tour after crew members contract COVID

"I'm completely devastated"

Jessie Ware

Jessie Ware has been forced to postpone the remaining dates of her UK tour after her crew members contracted COVID .

The ‘ What’s Your Pleasure? ‘ singer was due to perform at the Glasgow O2 Academy last night (December 9) but the show was pulled at the last minute.

She was due to perform at Bristol’s Marble Factory tomorrow (December 11) and two nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on Sunday (12) and Monday (13) but they have been put back.

Taking to Twitter, the singer said: “I’m completely devastated to announce that sadly, we have to reschedule the remaining shows of the ‘What’s Your Pleasure?’ tour.

💔 pic.twitter.com/1PSPbwk565 — Jessie Ware (@JessieWare) December 10, 2021

“We tried hard to make sure the tour was as safe as possible but unfortunately Covid has found a way to scupper my disco dreams. More crew members tested positive this morning and whilst we attempted to find a way to save the show and keep going till the end, it feels irresponsible to do so.

“Everyone has worked so hard on pulling this show together & I am proud of what we have created. The show is there ready and waiting for you all when it is safe enough to do so.”

The singer confirmed all tickets remain valid for the rescheduled shows.

The tour was previously moved from April 2021 to December due to ongoing concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic .

The remaining tour dates are now as follows:

26 – Marble Factory, Bristol 28 – O2 Brixton Academy, London  29 – O2 Brixton Academy, London

A new date for the Glasgow O2 Academy show will be announced soon, according to the singer.
