It is considered the largest cemetery in the world. Many structures testify to the operation of a huge concentration camp and the extent of the genocide perpetrated by the Nazis: gas chambers and crematoria , the Death Wall, the railway ramp, mass graves, prisoner barracks and blocks, miles of barbed wire fence and watchtowers. In 1947, soon after the war a state Museum was established at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp (it was a listed as a UNESCO site in 1979).

Door to door pick up

Our driver will pick you up directly from your hotel, apartments between 7:15 to 9:20am (pick up time to be confirm) . He will be waiting for you at the reception desk or outside of building (apartments).

Auschwitz Camp – 2:00h

To enter the site of the former Nazi death camp groups are led through the main gate with the infamous  ARBEIT MACHT FREI  sign. The exhibition is located in authentic, mostly pre-war brick buildings.

Part of the exhibition about mass killing is located in  blocks 4 and 5 . There visitors will see copies of documents and photographs showing reasons why people of various nations were imprisoned in Auschwitz and deportations of European Jews. One of most horrifying part of this exhibition is hair of women murdered in Birkenau. In the next building there are shoes and other personal belongings seized from people brought to death.

There’s also part of exhibition showing everyday camp reality – treatment of people imprisoned in Auschwitz from the moment of arrival. In one of corridors there are enlarged photographs of prisoners taken during the registration procedure.

Block nr 11  was a camp jail. In it’s basement there are 28 cells, some of which were used as starvation cells in a period of time. One of rooms in the first floor is a place where Gestapo summary court sentenced innocent people to death. Gestapo victims were shot by  the Death Wall . It’s reconstruction is in the yard between  block 10 and 11 .

Auschwitz ii-birkenau – 1:00h.

The tour continues in Birkenau. There visitors are shown the  railway track  and the platform where Jews deported to the death camp had to undergo selection. Just at the end of tracks there’s memorial and  ruins of gas chambers and crematoria.

After visiting both camps he will takes you back to Krakow or wherever you wish.

Our private Auschwitz tour from Krakow will takes approximately 6,5 hours . An English speaking driver collect you up directly from your apartment, hotel in Krakow. The best time to pick you up from your accommodation is between 7:30 and 9am . The way with English speaking driver from Krakow to Auschwitz will takes about an hour each way. The sightseeing Auschwitz and Birkenau camps should take at least three hours . We recommend two hour visiting the Auschwitz I and an one hour in the Birkenau II, nonetheless if you need more time the driver will be waiting for you as long as you wish (but, more then one hour will be extra charge). After visiting both camps our driver will take you back to Krakow or wherever you wish. If would you like to save your time in Krakow we arrange for you Auschwitz and Salt Mine tour in one day . After visiting both camps he will takes you back to Krakow or wherever you wish. If you want to visit the Auschwitz museum with young children, we can arrange booster seats or child seats, but please let us know in advance. However, for the comfort of tourists traveling with children under 2 years of age, we recommend private tours to Auschwitz from Krakow . There is a greater possibility stops or breaks for a child than during group tours. During our tours from Krakow to Auschwitz , both group and private , it is not possible to make a stop on the way back, but we can arrange a short stop on request (for private transport only).
