Global superstar Taylor Swift has added a third show to her Anfield dates next summer, as her career-defining show Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour comes to Liverpool, as part of the UK and European leg of her world tour.

The award-winning singer-songwriter will now perform at the iconic home of Liverpool FC on Thursday June 13, as well as Friday June 14 and Saturday June 15, 2024.

There will be a special guest appearance from Paramore on all three Anfield dates.

Registration for standard tickets has closed. For more information, you can visit liverpoolfc.com/taylorswift . Further tour information can also be found at taylorswift.com/tour .

Anfield is now a destination of choice for leading acts across the world.

There are no concerts at Anfield this summer due to the ambitious Anfield Road Stand expansion build, which will see capacity at LFC’s home grow from 54,000 seats to 61,000.

The extended Anfield Road Stand is set to be completed in time for the start of the new season. It is the third major capital build project undertaken by LFC in recent years, following the build of the new Main Stand in 2016 and the opening of the state-of-the-art AXA Training Centre in November 2020.

Liverpool Council sets up Taylor Swift 'working group' to map out Eras Tour Anfield travel plans

Liverpool Council is planning months in advance for the arrival of Taylor Swift and the Eras Tour, with Anfield set to host its biggest musical act to date.

This summer, Taylor Swift is coming to Anfield, home of Liverpool Football Club, as part of her worldwide Eras Tour. It sees her perform a selection of hits from across her entire discography, with none of the last four albums having been individually toured due to the impact of the pandemic.

Anfield will host three nights of the Eras Tour from June 13-15. Swift had initially been scheduled to perform there twice, but a third night was added due to the scale of demand.

Transport to the stadium will be a major logistical challenge, with Anfield situated outside of Liverpool's city center. To that end, the council has already formed a working group, having bestowed the codename Taylor Town on the event ( BBC ).

Public transport is a focus of the working group, with no parking to be provided at the stadium. One option on the table is to use the Soccerbus service that runs on Liverpool matchdays.

This departs from Sandhills Station on the Merseyrail Northern Line. It runs from two hours before kick-off in Liverpool's home league and cup games, with the final service around 15 minutes before the game gets underway — though if it is used for the Eras Tour, timings will be confirmed closer to the event.

The council's working group will also look at safeguarding issues, with the audience expected to contain numerous young people. All three nights of the Eras Tour at Anfield are sellouts.

A general view of Anfield Stadium, home to Liverpool Football Club.

Liverpool's home ground has undergone an expansion since it last hosted any musical acts. Work on the Anfield Road End is still ongoing, having been partially opened since December, but it is expected to be complete well in advance of the summer. Per This is Anfield , it could operate at full capacity as early as February 10.

Liverpool.com says: Of course, Anfield is no stranger to hosting massive events. Most of them have come courtesy of Jürgen Klopp and his Liverpool team — good luck topping the 4-0 win over Barcelona , Taylor. But the scale of this concert should not be underestimated. As well as being great for me — as a Liverpool and Taylor Swift fan — it's a major coup for FSG .

Liverpool first got permission to host concerts at Anfield in 2018. Much like Swift, the club has seen its plans somewhat put on hold by the pandemic, but it has nonetheless managed to host some big names including Bon Jovi, The Rolling Stones, Elton John and Pink.

Yet it would be fair to say that the Eras Tour is the biggest of the lot. Demand for tickets has been huge, and the council is certainly right to be getting plans for transport in place well in advance.

Taylor Swift started her European leg of the Eras Tour in Paris last night, meaning she's one step closer to coming to the UK.

The tour has kicked off with some performance and setlist changes, as the superstar added songs from her newest album The Tortured Poets Department. To make room for songs from TTPD Taylor has also cut several songs and restructured her show.

Though she is known for changing her setlist often and surprising fans with additional songs, we've compiled a list of the songs she performed last night in Paris on Thursday, May 9. It included The Archer, Tis The Damn Season, Tolerate It and Long Live being dropped from the show.

Are tickets still available?

Tickets sold out almost instantly in both the pre-sale and general sales. However, third-party ticket sites such as Viagogo do have tickets listed on their site but at more than triple the price of face value. Standing tickets cost £617 each whereas seated tickets are as much as £647 which includes restarted views.

Sites such as and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double-check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale - such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation - to ensure a smooth live event experience.

Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk. With that said, viagogo also commented: "viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee."

Taylor Swift in Madrid: dates, timings, setlist and everything you need to know

The Eras tour has arrived in Europe – here’s everything you need to know about her upcoming shows in Madrid

Llorenç Julià Ruiz

Swifties of Madrid , your wait is nearly over. Following the release of her brand-new double album The Tortured Poets Department , Taylor Swift has finally landed in  Europe with the Eras Tour (the highest-grossing tour in history, we’ll have you know).

The tour kicked off in Paris last night  and she’ll be heading to Madrid at the end of May. Got tickets? Lucky you. This is everything you need to know about Taylor Swift’s upcoming shows in the Spanish capital.

When are the Taylor Swift concerts in Madrid?

The global popstar will perform twice at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium , on May 29 and 30 .

What time will Taylor Swift come on stage?

The show on May 29 will start at 8pm, while the performance on May 30 will kick off earlier, at 6.30pm. Based on the timings of her first Paris show, we estimate she’ll take to the stage between 9 and 9.30pm on May 29, and between 7.30 and 8pm on May 30.

When will the concert end?

The Eras Tour shows tend to last over three hours, and some have lasted almost four. Depending on any surprise songs or guest appearances, t he shows should end at around 12.30am on May 29, and 11pm on May 30.

Are there any tickets left?

Sadly both Madrid shows have completely sold out.

How much are the tickets?

Ticket prices range between €85 and €226.50, while VIP passes cost a whopping €589.

What is the setlist for The Eras Tour?

The release of The Tortured Poets Department understandably raised questions about whether Taylor would adapt her setlist to include some of her 31 new songs… and she did not disappoint.

This is the setlist for the Eras Tour, in order, based on the first Paris show:

  • Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince
  • Cruel Summer
  • You Need to Calm Down

Taylor Swift’s expected Eras Tour setlist for UK as Paris gig reveals huge changes

Taylor Swift performs new setlist with TTPD at The Eras Tour in Paris

The Lover house is burned down, Speak Now is fighting for her life, and we’re all afraid of little old Taylor Swift as she overhauls her Eras Tour setlist.

As the 34-year-old superstar kicked off the European leg of her tour in Paris, fans gathered around livestreams and X to discover what she had in store.

Paris night one didn’t disappoint and ticket chaos was forgiven as the Tortured Poets Department took centre stage and the entire Eras Tour was changed, from bodysuits to choreography.

Fans had already speculated there might be a switch up after she released the Eras Tour film before her tour had finished but this was more than our wildest dreams.

It’s no surprise that Taylor has added in the new album but at already three and a half hours long , some songs were left on the cutting room floor.

The Archer, tis the damn season, and even the last great American dynasty were all brutally ripped from the setlist.

Taylor Swift performs new setlist with TTPD at The Eras Tour in Paris

New glittering bodysuits and dresses were rolled out for every era except Reputation, which is the last in the album in the show to get it’s Taylor’s Version.

So far no vault track appears on her main setlist, only core album songs have a permanent place on the Eras Tour.

Swifties have been left in utter disbelief as Folklore and Evermore were combined into one era, known as the sisters era, to keep time down.

Speak Now was reduced back down to one song — RIP Long Live — and debut remains reserved for surprise songs in the acoustic set.

Taylor Swift performs new setlist without the Archer at The Eras Tour in Paris

Let’s be honest Taylor could perform for six hours and fans would still want more but even she would probably find that exhausting.

It’s been a whirlwind 24hours for Swifties so lets see what the setlist has been left looking like and what that means for the UK.

We’re still going strong opening with Lover but even her seventh studio album and big opener couldn’t survive Taylor’s great setlist war. We’ll miss you, The Archer.

  • Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince
  • Cruel Summer
  • You Need To Calm Down

Fearless Era

The album that made her a superstar remains unscathed but since there were only three songs for this era it’s hardly surprising.

However, a new tasseled bodysuit was revealed and it looks incredibly similar to one worn on the Our Song hitmaker’s original Fearless tour in 2009.

  • You Belong With Me

Taylor Swift's new bodysuit for Fearless era of The Eras Tour in Paris

I’m never recovering from this pic.twitter.com/rNTY9smbVH — B R I T T A N Y 🤍 (@sobrittgoes) May 9, 2024

In a position switch up, the setlist now moved from Fearless into Red instead of evermore but the songs remain unchanged and All Too Well remains firmly in pride of place.

  • We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
  • I Knew You Were Trouble
  • All Too Well (10 Minute Version)

Speak Now Era

Justice for Speak Now, already balding but now scalped as Long Live has been once more removed.

We’re begging Taylor, I will sacrifice I Knew You Were Trouble for just one more purple painted dream.

Taylor Swift's new t shirt for Red era of The Eras Tour in Paris

Reputation Era

Yet to have it’s Taylor’s Version released, Reputation remains unchanged on the mammoth set but has been moved to after Red and Speak Now rather than before.

It’s also the only section that has not had an outfit change, the day that red and black bodysuit goes we’re all going to lose our minds.

  • …Ready For It?
  • Don’t Blame Me
  • Look What You Made Me Do

Folklore/Evermore Era

Once separate totalling 12 songs, Taylor’s lockdown albums have been combined into one – with a lot of casualties.

‘We have reunited the sister albums,’ the singer told the Paris crowd, joking it could be called ‘everlore’ or ‘folkmore’.

Mother’s favourite child remains safe and sound with no changes and still following the Folklore set. Honestly, we would have loved to see some of this swapped out for the vault tracks which stormed the charts last year.

Bad Blood remains on the setlist, we wonder if Kendrick Lamar is free to come do a surprise live feature…

Taylor Swift performs new setlist with TTPD at The Eras Tour in Paris

The Tortured Poets Department

Initially Swifties weren’t sure if this would be added and if so how could the 31 tracks possibly be whittled down into just a handful.

A new era brings blessings of brand new outfits, a floating stage set piece, gun shot choreography, and of course some insane vocal moments.

Taylor has spoken and these are (probably) her favourites off TTPD.

  • But Daddy I Love Him
  • So High School
  • Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me
  • The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  • I Can Do It with a Broken Heart

The stage she’s gliding around on during Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me? IS A MIRROR!!!!! The audience can see themself in the mirror as she’s singing “You caged me and then you called me crazy. Surprise songs

Each night Taylor plays two surprise songs from her vast discography, these have included This Love and Clean from 1989 and Dear John and Last Kiss from Speak Now.

She’s taken to doing mashups of the tracks, sometimes leading to fan speculation that the lyrics are somehow intertwined in inspiration.

Also known as the acoustic set, Paris night one fans were (obviously) treated to Paris from her album Midnights played on piano and loml on guitar from TTPD.

Midnights Era

Closing out the show is the iconic era which gave us ‘Karma is the guy on the chiefs ’ and that chair choreography — Midnights.

Her 2022 album gets sparkling new outfits, although the Lavender Haze fluffy lilac jacket has not been swapped out.

What is the old Eras Tour setlist?

With so many changes, here’s what Taylor’s Eras Tour used to look like for a setlist run

  • invisible string
  • the last great american dynasty
  • illicit affairs

When is the Eras Tour in the UK?

The Eras Tour will come to the UK next month , beginning in Edinburgh for three nights before heading to Liverpool, Cardiff, and London .

Who knows what Taylor will have in store for fans given her penchant for keeping everyone on their toes.

Given the huge overhaul, this is likely to be the setlist for the UK gigs and all her European dates but might have minor tweaks thrown in.

Of course, if you’re sad your favourite track is not on there is always a chance it could be one of the surprise songs as she has no rules around what she can and can’t sing here.

We’re hoping for Electric Touch, Now That We Don’t Talk, The Black Dog , or Hits Different but that tells you far too much about us.

What is Paramore's Eras Tour setlist?

The iconic pop punk band Paramore will be opening for Taylor Swift at the UK gigs and they revealed their setlist in Paris.

Of course, it is much shorter but still packed with hits from the chart-topping band, fronted by Taylor’s long time friend Hayley Williams.

  • Hard Times (+ Heart Of Glass)
  • Burning Down The House
  • Still Into You
  • Caught In The Middle
  • Brick By Boring Brick

Mick Jagger on building the perfect Rolling Stones tour: 'You've got to feel the energy'

liverpool eras tour map

Mick Jagger is speaking by phone from New Orleans.

Two days earlier, on Thursday, May 2, the Rolling Stones did “Time Is On My Side” with local soul queen Irma Thomas, whose 1964 recording of that classic inspired the British Invaders to cut their own rendition that same year, resulting in the Stones’ first Top 10 entry on the Billboard Hot 100.

Jagger and Thomas revisiting the song together as a deeply soulful duet turned out to be an aptly titled highlight of a set that was, remarkably enough, the Stones’ first time to take the stage at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Two days later, Jagger says he may go out and catch more music while he’s there — which he does, popping in on the festival’s Gospel Tent on Saturday afternoon — before he makes his way to Arizona for the Stones’ first metro Phoenix concert since the death of founding member Charlie Watts in 2021.

The Stones are playing State Farm Stadium on Tuesday, May 7. It’s the third date on the Hackney Diamonds Tour , named for the Stones’ first album of original material in nearly 20 years.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

Boasting guest appearances by Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and founding bassist Bill Wyman, who left the group in 1993 , the album has been hailed as their best work since “Tattoo You” or “Some Girls,” depending on the individual music critic’s level of enthusiasm.

Before the interview gets underway, the singer has a question for the interviewer.

“How hot is it there?” he asks. “ I remember the last time , it was warning you not to go out. Of course we did.”

Jagger laughs, as he does easily and often in the course of a 15-minute conversation that despite the actual presence of a phone never feels like he's phoning it in.

The man is unerringly affable, endearingly self-aware, impressively candid and refreshingly down-to-earth for one of rock and roll’s defining icons, widely held to be its greatest front man, a master of phrasing and a criminally underrated lyricist to boot, all while still doing stadium tours at 80.

Here’s what else he had to say.

Phoenix meets the Rolling Stones: First Phoenix concert in 1965 was a fever dream: 'So raw and so real'

Mick Jagger on introducing 'Hackney Diamonds'

The videos I've seen on social media from Jazz Fest and opening night have been amazing. Is the feeling you get from doing what you do on stage any different today than it was in the ‘60s or ‘70s?

Well, yeah, I mean, of course (laughs). You were younger and more crazy, more excited. And you were new. You weren't like treated like legends and all this. But you're the same person doing the same thing, even doing some of the same songs, so in some ways, it's the same. But it's a different time in the world, so there's a different vibe. It's the same, but only different, yeah.

How does it feel to have new music in the set?

Actually, really great. I love playing the old songs and all that. But it's great to be able to have something new, because you haven't done it before. It's a challenge to you to get it over to the audience and see if they like it, to see if they want to hear it.

It’s easier in a smaller place to play new songs. It's more difficult with a stadium crowd because they want to hear you know…. "Oh, I've come here to hear 'Paint It, Black'” “When are they gonna play 'Honky Tonk Women'?"

Are they gonna really like these songs? Are we gonna play them well enough? We haven’t played them that many times. We've only done “Angry,” like, three times, compared to “Paint It, Black.” (laughs) You go, 'Ugh, I made a mistake! Oh God.’ So yeah, it's challenging, but I enjoy it.

I would love to do more. We're doing three. I'm sort of changing them around, playing the three or four that are the most well-known. I'd love to put some others in, but there's only so much you can do, as I said, in a stadium. Red Hot Chili Peppers have got a new album. They're on tour and they're doing four songs. And I think we're on the same page here, when you're playing a big show. It's about all the audience can really take. (laughs)

Mick Jagger on being back in the studio with the Rolling Stones

How did it feel to get back in the studio and work on new material?

Oh, I loved it. It was great. I mean, I had a lot of songs I'd done during lockdown. I had a lot of time to write. So I had a lot of different kinds of songs and was glad to get them finally down. I thought, “When are we gonna get these songs down?” And it actually was really quick and fun and quite enjoyable. I like being back in the studio doing new things.

How do you decide “All right, it's time. Let's get in there and make an album” ?

I told this story when the album came out so I don't want to repeat myself too much. But I said to Keith, you know, “We've just gotta go make an album.” I didn't say, “I don't want to tour unless we have a new album.” But I said, “It would be better to go out with a new album when we next go on tour. So let's go do an album.” Keith said “Yeah, absolutely.”

We always used to have a deadline, you know? Like you guys at newspapers. You gotta write that story. And it's gotta be in here by this time. So I said, “We have to have a deadline.” Because otherwise we just keep going in the studio but we don’t finish anything. So everyone was down for that. And then we did it and we made the deadline. It all happened according to plan.

That's great. Were there specific goals you wanted to achieve artistically with this record?

Well, I wanted it to sound like a record made in 2024. The temptation with an old band is to go in and rehash something you've done before. And of course, the band is still the band. That's why I always say, “It's still gonna sound like the Rolling Stones, no matter what happens.”

But I said, “When you hear it, it's gotta sound like a record that's made by a rock band in this era,” you know? That crispness. If you listen to, say, a 1970s Rolling Stones record compared to this, you might love it because you've listened to it hundreds of times and that's the sound you like. But it's different, you know what I mean? It's a different period of sound.

It's much crisper and you can hear everything more clearly. But it's still got the energy level. To me, the energy level in a rock band is the most important thing. You've got to have that. You've got to feel the energy. That's a big part of it. And you've got to hear what everyone's playing.

Mick Jagger on working with Paul McCartney on 'Hackney Diamonds'

It's definitely got that energy. What was it like to work with Paul McCartney on this record?

Oh, it was great fun. We've all known Paul a long time. We worked in the '60s a little bit. He sang vocals with us and stuff. I've played with him in his house. Ronnie (Wood) has played with him a lot. And Andy Watt, the producer, was doing some work with him. So it was very fortuitous.

That's LA, you know. Next door there's Lady Gaga, Dolly Parton, Paul McCartney. It was great having him come by and he played great on "Bite Your Head Off."

Mick Jagger on losing Charlie Watts and recording with Bill Wyman

This is your first time in Phoenix since Charlie died. What was it like to sort of dust yourself off and get back to the music after losing someone that much at the core of who the Stones are?

Well it's very hard, you know, having Charlie since we first really started. I played with Charlie before the Rolling Stones existed. I played with Charlie as a singer in the Alexis Korner Band. He was playing the drums and I was the singer. Keith was sometimes playing with me. Sometimes he wasn't. So it was a difficult period to be without him.

But, you know, we decided to carry on. We had a tour planned. And Charlie said, 'You should go and do the tour,' you know? 'Go and do it.' So we did. That was tough, you know, doing it. Now, having done a tour with Steve (Jordan), we're kind of into that. But I miss Charlie. I look around and he's not there. But he is on the record. And we've got some other tracks he's on as well that we haven't released yet. So, you know, he's here.

One of the Charlie tracks has Bill Wyman on it. How did it feel to have him come in and kind of complete the circle ?

That was fun because we had this track with Charlie, and Andy and I said, “Well, let's marry up the old rhythm section.” It does sound a bit more like the old Stones, that particular track, “Live By the Sword.” It sounds slightly different from some of the others. But it's great. It's a different feeling.

Mick Jagger on building the ultimate Rolling Stones setlist for 2024

I love that you guys started doing “Out of Time” recently. I've always loved that song. What brought you back around to that?

I've always loved it. But the audience in America doesn't seem to know it as well as the European audience. So I think I'm going to give it a miss.

Uh oh. So we're not gonna hear that one in Phoenix?!

In Europe, they all sang along and everything. Here, they don't seem to know the song, you know? I mean, it's not a particularly well-known Stones song. It got a bit of popularity because it was in that (Quentin) Tarantino movie as a playout song. But they don't seem to know it. I put it in the front of the set, or near the front. And everyone's looking around like, “Ehh, what's this?” I don't know. I like to switch the set around. We've only done two shows. And I don't like doing the same set every night.

How do you go about putting a setlist together at this point?

Well, I have a list of all the numbers we rehearsed, right? We rehearsed for four weeks. So then, I go through all the ones I think we have to do, that people expect, that if we didn't do them, people would go, “Well, I came here to see ‘Honky Tonk Women' and they didn't do it.” And of course, I enjoy doing it. It's not a problem.

But then, the front half of the show, I kind of switch around a bit, just to keep everyone on their toes and interested with different ones on different nights. And now I've got to incorporate songs from the new album, which we rehearsed quite a few of them. And as I said before, we're only doing three so I'm switching it around a bit.

Are there other older songs you've never done live that you'd like to get around to someday?

I've tried to hit everything (laughs). I mean, I've been through the whole thing. And we do really weird ones. I mean, we did “I Wanna Be Your Man” (an early Stones single written by Lennon-McCartney) in Liverpool. That was really funny. We do that kind of thing from time to time out of the blue.

Mick Jagger on the Rolling Stones, the Beatles and rock & roll vs. pop

Speaking of "I Wanna Be Your Man" and Paul being on this record, there's been this ongoing debate for decades where Stones fans argue that the Stones are proper rock and roll and the Beatles are a pop band. What's your take on that?

Well, we're both pop bands, really. In the ‘60s, if you listen to the Rolling Stones, of course we played more blues than the Beatles. And The Beatles used to play more Tamla/Motown covers. We were all cover bands. But we both play pop music. We play blues. The stuff we played in early '60s, it's all influenced. But it's pop music.

“Time Is on my Side,” that we did here, that’s a pop song, you know what I mean? "Let's Spend the Night Together" is a pop song. "Ruby Tuesday" is a pop song. "Angie" is a pop song. Of course, we play rock. The thing about the Rolling Stones, though, and the Beatles, is there are very wide musical influences. Both bands incorporated a lot of styles into their music. Country music, blues, R&B, English music. So we had a very broad range, both of us.

It's difficult to pigeonhole either band, in my opinion. But obviously, the Rolling Stones are the more blues band, right? But we always were a pop band.

You know, one of the things that was so great about the era you guys came up in and defined was that being in a rock and roll band could mean playing any of those types of songs that are on any of those albums either of your groups recorded in the '60s. It seemed as though the possibilities were limitless.

We played Elizabethan songs like "Lady Jane" and "She's a Rainbow." "Paint It, Black" is not really a rock song. It's our most popular streamed song and it's like a Middle East-influenced pop song.

At this point, Jagger is reminded that the interview was scheduled to conclude five minutes earlier.

"Hey listen, I've got to leave you; thank you so much," he says.

And with that, he's off to hear some gospel in New Orleans, time still very much on his side.
