Meghan Trainor is bringing the Timeless Tour to TD Pavilion at the Mann on September 7   with special guests Paul Russell and Chris Olsen!

Meghan Trainor first made history in 2014 with her diamond-certified smash single “All About That Bass.” Since then, the award-winning singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist has garnered a GRAMMY® for Best New Artist, achieved eight multi-platinum singles and two multi-platinum albums, sold out three world tours, penned multi-platinum hits for peers across pop and country, and received countless industry awards and nominations. Expanding her influence on pop culture, she starred on FOX’s hit series  THE FOUR: Battle for Stardom  and on the superstar coaching panel of The Voice UK. She kicked off 2020 with the release of her third full-length album, Treat Myself (Epic Records), which includes the platinum smash “No Excuses” as well as blockbuster anthems and collaborations such as “Nice To Meet Ya” [feat. Meghan Trainor Announces Debut Australian Tour Dates

US pop star and chart topper Meghan Trainor has announced her debut Australian shows with two performances in Melbourne and Sydney this April.

The All About That Bass singer will play two all-ages shows this year, appearing at Sydney’s Big Top at Luna Park on April 27th and The Forum in Melbourne on April 30th. The tour announcement comes as the singer today releases her new album, Title .

Trainor’s hit All About That Bass spent four weeks at the top spot on Australia’s ARIA singles chart and has reached sales of five-times-platinum. According to ARIA’s end of year list the track was the second best-selling single of 2014 in Australia.

As well as topping other charts globally, Trainor has capped off a huge 12 months with a number of award nominations, including a 2014 American Music Award nomination for New Artist of the Year, and two 2015 Grammy nods for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Meghan Trainor is a 20 year old singer/songwriter originally from Massachutes who found international fame in 2014 following the release of hit single 'All About That Bass'.

Meghan Trainor is a Massachutes born singer/songwriter who found international success in 2014 with the mega hit 'All About That Bass'. Before this her musical career began with a couple of EPs released in 2013 which gained her some notoreity. She took several writing trips around the US to New York and Los Angeles before settling on Nashville at the age of 19.

'All About That Bass' was released the following year in June and went on to become a huge sucess. It topped the US Billboard chart and stayed there for eight weeks, a hugely admirable accomplishment for a new artist. It also topped the charts in Australia, Canada, Germany and New Zealand. In the UK it topped the singles chart and remained there for four weeks making Trainor the most successful female artist of 2014.

The EP 'Title' followed in September which 'All About That Bass' was lifted from. It charted at #15 and #17 in the US and Canada respectively. Her album will also be called 'Title' and is set for release in January 2015, Meghan has released one preceding single so far. 'Lips Are Moving' was also a success in the US, entering the Billboard chart at #8 and the Australian singles chart at #3. To add to her commercial successes in 2014, Trainor has also scooped two Grammy nominations for Song of the Year and Record of the Year for 'All About That Bass'.

A relative newcomer to the circuit, 21 year old pop starlet Meghan Trainor has been in practice for her live debut since the age of 6 when she began singing. Having developed a melodic tone and wonderful range, she has a great opportunity to showcase her talents following the international success of her debut album 'Title'.

The music was hailed for its retro, 1920s influence and these transfer to Meghan's performance. Appearing in numerous outfits, she really does transport you back to the traditional sounds of the 20s and 30s. From the upbeat 'Dear Future Husband' the crowd are ready to sing, dance and clap along with the pop star. She instantly builds a connection with the crowds and takes what she learned on her rise to the larger stages.

Accompanied by slick backing musicians and singers, Trainor commands the stage as she walks from side to side recreating 'Title'. Ending the first set with 'Lips Are Moving', there is a huge emphasis on fun as the crowd sings along once again. Everybody knows the encore has been reserved for the international hit 'All About That Bass', it sounds perfect live and the audience leaves with the impression Meghan Trainor is an artist very much destined for stardom.

Meghan Trainor has quickly become a household name in a very short space of time and her tour is selling out fast. The internationally renowned artist puts on a fun, great show. Having built a name for herself on catchy pop tunes, her shows reflect this and are as fun and pop-tastic as you could possibly imagine. Trainor is a great singer live, with a strong set of vocals and a wonderfully wide tone range. She opened the show on a fantastically upbeat tone, with the hit single ‘Lips are Moving’. It set the atmosphere brilliantly and got the whole crowd dancing and singing along. Trainor owned the stage with an incredible confidence and was joined by a whole array of backing dancers who were all dressed as cutesy as she was. Trainor’s stand out style was on form as ever, and the stage was a bright rainbow of colours. ‘Dear Future Husband’, which featured in the middle of the set list, was also met with a brilliant crowd reaction but it was finale ‘All About that Bass’ that really won the crowd.

Atmosphere was great and the music was great like expected

I found it to be counterproductive having such breaks between acts as the starting acts would get the crowd pumped and excited for the show

And then the intermission would see everyone getting tired and sleepy and loose excitement

Both opening acts were good though I had never heard of common kings and they were hard to hear in some cases

Megan was great, she had a great stage presence and her songs were a hot as expected

However I found that she wasn't on stage for very long and for the limited time we got to see any of the acts the concert was drawn out

And also very short as none of the acts hung around for awfully long on stage

In short it was a great performance but needed more flow, and stage time

Although I've never been to see Meghan Trainor I just hope she comes to Australia after Barry is independent. This is comming from me and the thousands of other fans. My daughters went to see Meghan Trainor and they loved her so much! Just wish it would've lasted longer because she was awesome! If she comes again we will definitely see her again but the prices to meet her need to come down so poorer people can meet her!! Thanks for the show Meghan & Hailee, we loved you both!!

The show was amazing!! She is a wonderful live performer!! Everyone was out of their seats singing and dancing!! This is a great show and I definitely recommend going to her concert if you ever get the chance!! She is selling out every concert and I was lucky enough to have seen her once before!!!

Meghan put on a great show. She had four backup dancers and a live band, and there was a big video wall setup behind her. I left before the encores but she had four different outfits even before the encores. Her voice sounded great and I really enjoyed the concert.

There was no auto-tune and she sounded amazing! I saw her at Jingle Ball 2016 Dallas, Texas. It was exactly how she sounded on the radio. All the other artists were amazing at Jingle Ball too. Totally recommend Meghan if you love bouncy, funny, and sweet music!

News: Meghan Trainor Announces Australian Tour

(AUS) Live Nation has announced that American pop star Meghan Trainer – one of the hottest talents to emerge during 2014 – will head to Australia this April for her very first shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

The Grammy-nominated pop phenomenon – who hit #1 with the infectious smash single ‘All About That Bass’ – will play two all-ages shows only, appearing at the Big Top at Luna Park, Sydney on April 27 and The Forum, Melbourne on April 30.

Currently undertaking an extensive North American tour, the Australian tour announcement comes on the back of today’s release of her debut album, ‘Title’ (through Sony Music Australia), also featuring the platinum, ARIA #3 hit ‘Lips Are Movin’.

Meghan’s smash debut ‘All About That Bass’ spent four weeks at #1 on the ARIA singles chart, three weeks topping the national airplay chart and has reached sales of five-times-platinum.

The catchy track also reigned at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for eight straight weeks, hit #1 on the iTunes singles chart in more than 70 countries and #1 on the global Spotify and Shazam Charts. The positive body image anthem has racked up an impressive six million downloads, 350 million views on the pastel-pop video and more than 150 million streams worldwide.

Meghan Trainor Gears Up For Highly Anticipated ‘Timeless Tour’ After Eight-Year Hiatus – Dates & Ticket Info

Grammy-winning singer Meghan Trainor thrilled fans with the announcement of her first tour in eight years, aptly named The Timeless Tour , in support of her upcoming album set to release in June.

The tour will see Trainor gracing arenas and amphitheaters across North America from September to October, including a performance at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City on September 25.

Trainor, 30, expressed her gratitude toward her loyal fan base, known as Megatronz, for their unwavering support throughout her decade-long career. In a press release, she stated, “I cannot believe it has been ten years since this all started. I have never been more grateful for this life that my incredible Megatronz have gifted me with. This new album and tour are all for them and my beautiful family.”

Trainor’s tour schedule includes performances at various venues across North America, such as the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, the TD Pavilion at the Mann in Philadelphia and the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri, among others.

The Timeless Tour will feature special guests Natasha Bedingfield, Paul Russell, Chris Olsen and Ryan Trainor on select dates.

Trainor’s setlist is anticipated to be a blend of her chart-topping hits and new material from her upcoming album. Fans can expect to hear favorites like “All About That Bass,” “Lips Are Movin” and “Me Too” as well as exciting surprises for a memorable concert experience.

The release of Trainor’s sixth studio album, Timeless , is scheduled for June 14. The lead single from the album, “Been Like This,” which features T-Pain , has already captivated audiences with its infectious energy and horn-heavy sound. Trainor expressed her excitement about the album and shared on Instagram, “This album means so much to me, and I can’t wait to share even more soooon.”

The Idol pair suggested Meghan Trainor would be a “fun” replacement for exiting judge Katy Perry on the show after the singer’s engaging appearance as a coach on the latest episode on April 22.  

"I think Meghan's always been real fun,” Bryan, 47, told Entertainment Tonight after season 22’s Top 10 show on Monday night. “You know, that's kinda been her brand, to have fun. [She's] real witty, so certainly."

Seacrest, 49, agreed, telling ET , "She was very good. Meghan is a super talent too, and she's got a great sense of humor. She's fun and she's spontaneous."

Trainor, 30, has previously been a judge on Australian Idol and The Voice UK .

Bryan went on to tell the outlet that, aside from Trainor, he has “10 names” he is thinking of who he’d like to join him on the judging panel. He added that the show’s producers haven't yet revealed who they have planned to join the remaining judges after Perry’s exit at the end of the season.

Fellow panelist Lionel Richie also shared his suggestions for possible new judges, including a former winner of the singing competition and a global superstar. "I've got my list, but Kelly [Clarkson], if you don't have anything else to do, I'd like to drop that out there — I'm a big fan,” Richie, 74, told ET.  

"Oh, and by the way, Taylor [Swift] if you're available, we'd like to have you out,” he added of The Tortured Poets Department singer. “Call me!"

Richie explained that whoever does end up replacing Perry, 39, on the competition show has to know how to have a good time. "It's gotta be fun, but no ego. Because we're gonna insult each other so much," he continued. "And when you're with Luke, he doesn't know he's killin' ya."

In February, Perry announced her departure from Idol after seven seasons on Jimmy Kimmel Live! as she teased other projects to come later this year. 

Her fellow judges' suggestions of her replacement come days after the "Bon Appétit" singer shared she’d like country singer Jelly Roll to take her place on the panel.

Speaking after a live taping of Idol on April 15, Perry told E! News : “I gotta say Jelly Roll was crazy when he came on the show. He could run for president, he could be my pastor, I might go back to church for him. He could sell me anything.”

“To have any of these guys plus Jelly on the show would be amazing,” the singer raved, adding that she wants her replacement to be a "truth teller."

T hree days after pop star Meghan Trainor advised the Top 12 contestants on season 22 of ABC’s “American Idol,” many fans were shocked to see NBC announce on April 25, 2024, that she’ll also be an upcoming Playoff Advisor for contestants on “The Voice.”

Trainor is scheduled to work with Chance the Rapper‘s team on the show’s April 29 episode, exactly one week after she appeared on “Idol,” where she inspired buzz among fans and cast members about being a potential replacement for Katy Perry, who’s leaving the show after this season. Though several popular artists have appeared on both shows in the past, they rarely, if ever, have appeared on the competing shows during the same season, let alone one week.

Meghan Trainor Is Appearing on Multiple Shows in Advance of Her New Album Drop

Over the years, several big-name artists have advised contestants on both “The Voice” and “American Idol,” though always in different years. For instance, Bebe Rexha was a “comeback coach” on “The Voice” in 2016, per Distractify, and then served as a mentor on “Idol” in 2020.

Country star Keith Urban, an “Idol” judge from 2013 through 2016, returned to the show as a mentor in 2023 — and then served as a “Mega Mentor” on “The Voice” in early April 2024, per Deadline.

Meanwhile, Shania Twain, who is scheduled to mentor the “Idol” Top 10 on April 28, advised singers on “The Voice” in 2017, according to USA Today.  

On April 22, Trainor appeared as a mentor to the Top 12 during the two-hour, live episode of “Idol.” Before each contestant sang live, producers aired a prerecorded segment of their mentorship session with Trainor. Though Trainor couldn’t attend the live show to watch their performances like Gene Simmons did the night before, she joined via FaceTime at one point, cheering them on and showing she was watching the show live on TV.

During the show, host Ryan Seacrest also announced that she’ll return to “Idol” to perform her new single with T. Pain, “Been Like This.” ABC has since confirmed that she’ll appear on the May 5 episode.

But first, Trainor will advise “The Voice” contestants on the show’s April 29 episode, sitting in with Chance the Rapper as he gives advice to the remaining members of his team before their Playoffs performance. It won’t be Trainor’s first time in the role; she also advised Blake Shelton’s team during season 8 in 2015, according to NBC.

When NBC announced Trainor’s upcoming appearance via Instagram on April 25, multiple fans did a double-take, surprised Trainor would be on “The Voice” days after being on “American Idol.”

One person asked, “Wasn’t she just on Idol?????? 😮”

Another wrote, “😮 Daaang she was mentoring both on Idol & now The Voice.”

Someone else commented, “Meghan playing both sides Idol and Voice 😂😂 we all know the better singers are on Idol tho.”

There are also reports that on the same day Trainor appears on “The Voice,” she’ll appear with original “Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson, singing a “Kellyoke” duet with her of “All About That Base” on the “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Multiple fan accounts, including Team Kelly Clarkson, tweeted photos from the taping on April 25.

Trainor’s many appearances are happening because she’s promoting her newest single, “To The Moon,” which will be out on May 3, and her upcoming album, to be released in early June.

Meghan Trainor Does Have Past Experience With Both ‘Idol’ & ‘The Voice,’ Making Her a Possible Choice for a Full-Time Role

Since her first number one single, 2014’s “All About That Base,” the Grammy winner has released multiple hits and has also written songs for a wide range of artists from Jennifer Lopez to Rascal Flatts, according to American Songwriter.

She has lots of experience in the music business to draw from as a mentor or advisor to aspiring singers, including working on versions of “American Idol” and “The Voice” in other countries. In 2020, she was a coach on “The Voice UK,” according to the Sun. And in 2023, she was a judge on “Australian Idol” alongside former “American Idol” judge Harry Connick Jr., per Billboard.

After her recent mentorship sessions on “Idol,” fans were abuzz about the possibility of her replacing Perry at the judges’ table.

When asked what he thought of the idea, judge Luke Bryan told Entertainment Tonight, “I think Megan’s always been real fun. You know, that’s kinda been her brand, to have fun, real witty, so certainly.”

Seacrest agreed, telling ET, “”She was very good. Megan is a super talent, too, and she’s got a great sense of humor. She’s fun and she’s spontaneous.”

Former American Idol judge Harry Connick Jr. is now heading to Australian Idol to join the panel for the upcoming 2023 season, the first in 14 years. He’ll be joined by Meghan Trainor, who also has experience judging talent shows.

Harry Connick Jr., Meghan Trainor Join Australian Idol

Connick was a judge on American Idol from Season 13 to Season 15, alongside Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban. The singer recently shared the news on social media that he’ll be starting as a judge on Australian Idol next year, writing that he’s “so excited.”

“I’m looking forward to hearing all the new talent!” Connick said in a statement. “I love the camaraderie with the judges, the excitement of the crowd and the fun of it all. I love the idea of musical competition; it forces performers to focus on a bunch of things that contribute to their development as artists.”

Connick will be joined on the panel by fellow American singer Meghan Trainor, Australian singer Amy Shark, and Australian radio host Kyle Sandilands. The new season will premiere next year on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Trainor Also Has Talent Show Experience

Meghan Trainor has appeared as a judge on several talent shows over the years, including The Four: Battle for Stardom and Clash of the Cover Bands . She was also a coach on The Voice UK in 2020, and she joined Team Blake as a mentor on The Voice Season 8.

“I can’t wait to sit front row and meet new talent,” Trainor said in a statement. “I haven’t been to Australia since 2015, so I’m really excited to get to see the whole country and basically get to live there!”

Australian Idol ended its initial run in 2009, making this new season the first in 14 years. A release date has yet to be announced for the new competition.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest and judge Luke Bryan have expressed that the Lips Are Movin singer could be a strong replacement for judge Katy Perry , who is leaving the music competition show after season 22 ends on May 19, 2024.

Following Trainor's guest appearance as a mentor on the April 22, 2024, episode of the television series, Bryan and Seacrest spoke with Entertainment Tonight's Denny Directo.

Meghan Trainor meets Jacko the Koala

Global pop sensation and Australian Idol judge Meghan Trainor is set to perform her smash hit song Made You Look in an exclusive live performance on Monday night’s episode.

The viral hit from the Grammy Award winner’s fifth album, Takin’ It Back, will be performed live on stage during the first live-to-air results show.

Trainor has been a hit with fans of the show and said she was “having a blast” in Australia.

“I’m constantly blown away by the crazy talent here,” she said.

“I’m so excited to perform Made You Look on the Idol stage.”

Takin’ It Back debuted in the Top 20 on the Billboard 200 and hasn’t left the charts since.

A deluxe edition of the album will be released on March 1 ahead of the much-loved singer’s first book.

Called Future Mama: A TMI Guide to Pregnancy, Birth and New Motherhood from your Bestie, the book will hit the stands in April.

Trainor announced earlier this year that she was expecting her second child with husband Daryl Sabara.

The couple is already proud parents to a son named Riley, who is almost two, and who recently made an adorab le appearance on Idol .

In January, the singer said she had hoped to conceive while in Australia in late 2022.

“We’ve always known we want four babies. We want a lot of kids,” the 29-year-old said on Australian radio.

“We thought how iconic would it be if we made an Australian baby and, you know, we could tell this baby that we got knocked up with you in Australia.”

Trainor also had another very Aussie experience while in the country - meeting and cuddling Jacko the koala.

During the filming of one audition episode, fellow judge Kyle Sandilands walked in with a ranger who was holding Jacko.

“Oh my god, I’m gonna cry!” Trainor yelled.

“Do you want to cuddle him?” Sandilands asked.

Trainor called the experience “the best day of my life!”

“It looks like a robot, but it’s alive!” she grinned as she held Jacko.

“I need my phone, no one’s gonna believe me, I need a selfie!”

Australian Idol continues 7pm Sunday and 7.30pm Monday on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Meghan Trainor announces new album 'Timeless,' tour with Natasha Bedingfield

Meghan Trainor is all about that music comeback — and the singer is returning with a new album.

The "All About That Bass" hitmaker is set to release her new album "Timeless" on June 14, including her new single "Been Like This" featuring T-Pain .

Trainor will also trek across North America on The Timeless Tour with special guests Natasha Bedingfield , "Lil Boo Thang" singer Paul Russell, best friend Chris Olsen and younger brother Ryan Trainor.

"ITS TIMEEEE!!! New album Timeless out June 14 💙 This album means so much to me," Trainor captioned an Instagram post Thursday. The "Dear Future Husband" singer released her last album "Taken' It Back" in 2022 and tapped into TikTok in recent years, now boasting 18 million followers on the platform.

The "Made You Look" singer, 30, revealed on the "Today" show in January 2023 that she was pregnant with her second baby, Barry, born in July. She and her husband, "Spy Kids" alum Daryl Sabara , also share their oldest son, Riley.

Last April, she also released her first book, "Dear Future Mama," which detailed Trainor's "grossness and all my truths."

"I want to help someone out there feel not alone and like they're normal," Trainor told USA TODAY about the book ahead of its release last year.

Two big names step up to help the Artists meet the moment as the Season 25 competition levels up.

Two down; two more to go! Two of music’s biggest names have already been announced as Playoff Mentors to give Dan + Shay and John Legend a big boost for their respective teams on Season 25 of The Voice . But there’s no need for Chance the Rapper and Reba McEntire to side-eye their fellow Coaches with envy, because the show has just revealed the pair of remaining guest stars who’ll help the Artists of Team Chance and Team Reba shine their brightest as the competition gets set to kick up another notch.

Super-savvy in the ways of stage and song, pop icon Meghan Trainor is joining forces with Chance the Rapper to tutor his team’s artistic talent as The Voice swings toward the Playoffs round.

As fans quickly found out when Trainor earned fame from her early hit single “All About That Bass,” marching to your own beat with confidence is a big part of the doo-wop-inspired superstar’s musical message. Her well-honed skills should be especially on point for Team Chance, too, as Trainor’s carving out time for The Voice right on the eve of the release of Timeless , her forthcoming sixth studio album, while gearing up for a major concert tour that’ll kick off later on this summer.

That means Chance and Trainor will both be at their best as they pair up to coax the best from the Artists of Team Chance. Trainor brings to the table a spirited sense of showmanship and gift for musical versatility, refined not only through killer live performances (like her must-watch Season 8 live rendition of “Dear Future Husband” on The Voice ), but also a strong songwriter’s sensibility. Team Reba welcomes Playoff Mentor Anthony Ramos

After turning heads in Broadway’s Hamilton (where he even played two roles!), Ramos hit the big screen opposite Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in 2018’s A Star is Born . He kept the movie tunes flowing by playing the central character of the 2021 film musical In the Heights , and has lately branched out beyond show-stopping belters as the star of the 2023 sci-fi smash Transformers: Rise of the Beasts .

If Reba brings a little bit of country confidence to the Artists on her team, it’s a sure bet that Ramos will add in an extra dash of Broadway-refined stagecraft. His pitch-perfect pipes and amazing tenor vocal range earned him a 2016 Musical Theater Album Grammy for Hamilton (Original Broadway Cast Recording) , while his infectiously buoyant attitude promises to make a perfect Coaching complement alongside the Queen of Country’s always-upbeat advice.
