Mobile No-Tour

This document is intended to be consumed by partners who have already implemented and are familiar with No-Tour for plastic credential integration.

Schlage Mobile Access Credentials allow the physical access credential cards or fobs normally carried by a patron to be replaced with a mobile credential that is embedded in the patron’s mobile phone. These mobile credentials use Bluetooth Low Energy to communicate with ENGAGE™ Mobile enabled devices. Some Physical Access Control Solution (PACS) providers have built their own patron mobile app and have consumed the Schlage Mobile Access SDK  which allows the Schlage Mobile Access Credential to be managed through the PACS  patron  mobile app .  Other PACS, who have not developed a patron mobile app, utilize the Schlage Mobile Access Application to manage the Schlage Mobile Access Credentials.

Allegion Developer Portal

Below is a table that outlines the core functionality of the Schlage Mobile Access software products.

Allegion Developer Portal

“Mobile Credential” is intended for customers that do not need the functionality of No-Tour.

“No-Tour Basic” builds upon the “Mobile Credential” API by providing basic No-Tour functionality. With “No-Tour Basic” patrons can be given access to an unlimited number of doors; however, a patron may only use No-Tour capabilities for that patron. Patron A cannot carry Patron B’s updated access rights. In “No-Tour Basic” the 11-sector limit that exists in the plastic credential world is now removed.

“No-Tour Premium” builds upon “No-Tour Basic” with two new key functions:

  • “No-Tour Premium” will enable the software partner to receive feedback via a cloud-based API when a patron delivers updated access rights via No-Tour functionality. By creating a pseudo virtual card network, there is no reason to tour doors to remove access. The software partners’ access control system will now know that a patron has been removed from a door through the cloud-based API, once the patron’s app checks into the cloud.
  • “No-Tour Premium” offers the ability for Patron A to deliver Patron B’s updated access via Mobile No-Tour. Now a new patron can not only gain access to doors but can also remove old patrons’ access at the same time. This feature combined with the cloud-based feedback enables our software partners to build new and unique experiences for their customers.

With the addition of No-Tour capability for mobile credentials, the property administrator is no longer required to tour the door for access updates or use an enrolment reader to program the mobile credentials. The access updates (commands/No Tour Payloads) can be retrieved on the patron’s phone and presented to the lock.

Patrons with Schlage Mobile Access Credentials that utilize No-Tour functionality will no longer need to use physical credentials to gain access to their assigned doors, however software partners may choose to continue to use plastic credentials as-is.

  • Generating the token

To get an authentication token a POST call is made with username and password. The authentication token expires in 10 hours.

Sample request:

curl -v -X POST " https://api.allegion.com/SMC/Authentication/Tokens " -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Accept: application/json;version=1" -H "alle-subscription-key: {subscription key}" --data-ascii "{ "username": "xxxxxxxx", "password": "xxxxxxxx" }"

The response from the POST call above will be a  200 (OK) with Token, Token Type and Expiry created in the response. The Token from the response must be sent in the HTTP Authorization Header in any authenticated API request.

Sample response:

{         "token": “xxxxxxxxxx”,         "tokenType": “Bearer”,         "expiresIn": 86400 }

Refer to ‘ Authentication Token API ’ in ‘ Schlage TM Mobile Credentials ’ product for detailed API method documentation.

Before we get into the details of how to create No-Tour Payloads, let us understand how to work with mobile credentials.

  • Creating a Mobile Credential

The first thing you'll need to begin working with Mobile No-Tour APIs is a mobile credential. No-Tour Payloads will be associated to a mobile credential created for a given User ID.

The following call will create a mobile credential:

curl -v -X POST "https://api.allegion.com/SMC/credentials/mobile"-H "Authorization: Bearer {Token}"-H "Content-Type: application/json"-H "Accept: application/json;version=1"-H "alle-subscription-key: {subscription key}" --data-ascii "{ "UserId": "1a8e4e48-3727-4eb6-a8a5-a99384ff4a9b", "CardFormat": "48X", "CardNumber": 1, "FacilityCode": 20, "IssueCode": 1, "CredSector": 1, "Attributes": { "SiteId": "123456", "SiteName": "My Site Name" } }"

The response from the POST call above will be a  201 (CREATED) with Credential ID created in the response.

{   "credentialId": "00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000" }

Refer to ‘Create Credential API’ in ‘ Schlage TM Mobile Credentials ’ product for detailed API method documentation.

  • Deleting Mobile Credential

You may end up having credentials that you want to delete when you remove the patron. Use the API to delete the unused mobile credential. Depending on the pricing you choose, you may be charged for each active credential, so it is important to delete un-used credentials.

To delete a mobile credential, you can use a DELETE call, specifying the User ID or Credential ID in the URL:

  • the /SMC/credentials/mobile/{credentialId} endpoint: to delete credential by Credential ID
curl -v -X DELETE "https://api.allegion.com/SMC/credentials/mobile/{credentialId}" -H "Authorization: Bearer {Token}" -H "Accept: application/json;version=1" -H "alle-subscription-key: {subscription key}" --data-ascii ""

The response from the DELETE call above will be a  204 (NO CONTENT) with an empty response, and the credential will be deleted.

Sample response: Empty

Refer to ‘ Delete Credential ’ in ‘ Schlage TM Mobile Credentials ’ product for detailed API method documentation.

  • the /SMC/credentials/mobile/users/{userId} endpoint: to delete credential by User ID
curl -v -X DELETE "https://api.allegion.com/SMC/credentials/mobile/users/{userId}" -H "Authorization: Bearer {Token}" -H "Accept: application/json;version=1" -H "alle-subscription-key: {subscription key}" --data-ascii ""

Refer to ‘ Delete Credential by UserId ’ in ‘ Schlage TM Mobile Credentials ’ product for detailed API method documentation.

  • Listing Mobile Credential

To begin working with mobile credentials for Tour or No-Tour access updates, let's first learn how to list existing mobile credentials. (If you have not already created a mobile credential, please see the Creating a mobile credential section.)

  • Get Credential

If you'd like to see the details of a mobile credential that have been created against a credential ID, you can make a GET mobile credential call by providing the Credential Id.

  • the ‘ /SMC/credentials/mobile/{credentialId} ’ endpoint: To get credential by Credential ID.
curl -v -X GET " https://api.allegion.com/SMC/credentials/mobile/{credentialId }" -H "Authorization: Bearer {Token}" -H "Accept: application/json;version=1" -H "alle-subscription-key: {subscription key}" --data-ascii ""

The response from the GET call above will be a  200 (OK) with the below response.

{   "credentialId": "00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000",   "userId": "00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000",   "payloadType": "string",   "rawData": "string",   "cardFormat": "string",   "cardNumber": 0,   "facilityCode": 0,   "issueCode": 0,   "isDownloaded": true,   "attributes": {} }

Refer to ‘ Get Credential API ’ in ‘ Schlage TM Mobile Credentials ’ product for detailed API method documentation.

  • Get Credential by User ID

If you'd like to see the details of mobile credentials that have been created for a patron, you can make a GET mobile credential call by providing the User Id.

  • the ‘ /SMC/credentials/mobile/users/{userId} ’ endpoint: To get credential by User ID.
curl -v -X GET " https://api.allegion.com/SMC/credentials/mobile/users/{userId }" -H "Authorization: Bearer {Token}" -H "Accept: application/json;version=1" -H "alle-subscription-key: {subscription key}" --data-ascii ""
[ {   "credentialId": "00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000",   "userId": "00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000",   "payloadType": "string",   "rawData": "string",   "cardFormat": "string",   "cardNumber": 0,   "facilityCode": 0,   "issueCode": 0,   "isDownloaded": true,   "attributes": {} } ]

Refer to ‘ Get Credential By User ID API ’ in ‘ Schlage TM Mobile Credentials ’ product for detailed API method documentation.

  • Get All Credentials

If you'd like to see the list of existing mobile credentials that have been created, you can make a GET all mobile credential call.

  • the ‘ /SMC/credentials/mobile ’ endpoint: To get all credentials.
curl -v -X GET " https://api.allegion.com/SMC/credentials/mobile ” -H "Authorization: Bearer {Token}" -H "Accept: application/json;version=1" -H "alle-subscription-key: {subscription key}" --data-ascii ""

Refer to ‘ Get All Credentials API ’ in ‘ Schlage TM Mobile Credentials ’ product for detailed API method documentation.

Now that you've created a mobile credential, you can start working on building No-Tour Payloads.

For a patron to receive a mobile no-tour command, they must first have a mobile credential assigned to them. The No-Tour payload can then be created against the Credential ID generated from creating the patron’s mobile credential.

For information on how to create the No-Tour payloads, please refer the documentation for No-Tour integration for plastic credentials or reach out to your Allegion Integration Engineer.

  • Saving No-Tour Payloads for a mobile credential

No-Tour Payloads can be created for a mobile credential for one or multiple devices and can be saved to Allegion Cloud using this endpoint.

You may end up having No-Tour Payloads that you want to update when you want to revise the access. In such scenario, save the updates again.

The request to save a No-Tour Payload can be made using a POST call, specifying Credential ID in the URL:

  • the ‘/SMC/credentials/mobile/{credentialId}/NoTour’ endpoint: To post the created No-Tour Payloads in the Allegion Cloud.
curl -v -X POST "https://api.allegion.com/SMC/credentials/mobile/{credentialId}/NoTour" -H "Authorization: Bearer {Token}" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Accept: application/json;version=1" -H "alle-subscription-key: {subscription key}" --data-ascii "{   "NoTourPayloadDetails": [     {       "LockId": 1234,       "SerialNumber": "EjRWeJq83vEjRWeJq83vEg==",  "NoTourPayload": "123456789ABCDEF123456789ABCDEF123456789ABCDEF123456789ABCDEF123456789ABCDEF123456789ABCDEF123456"     }   ] }"

In the above sample:

  • LockId is the unique device ID identifying the Device/Lock within your Site or Facility
  • SerialNumber is the Device Serial Number identifying the Device/Lock which is unique across all devices
  • NoTourPayload is the credential payload that contains access commands

Both LockId and SerialNumber are required in the request. The Lock processes the No-Tour Payloads received from the SDK. LockId is analogous to directory sector in the plastic world. SerialNumber is required to uniquely identify a Lock across the ENGAGE system.

The response from the POST call above will be a  201 (CREATED) with an empty response, and the No-Tour Payloads will be saved for a Credential ID..

Sample response: Empty.

You can create No-Tour Payloads against a credential for one or multiple devices/locks.

For example, Alex is a resident of Unit 101 in XYZ's multi-family residence. Alex needs access to the facility's main entrance (Door 1) and Unit 101 (Door 2). The facility administrator assigns Alex’s mobile credential access for Door 1 and Door 2.

In the above example, you can create No-Tour Payloads for Door 1 and Door 2 for Alex’s mobile credentials and save to Allegion Cloud. You cannot associate the No-Tour Payload of another resident of Unit 101 or another user of the facility's main entrance to Alex’s mobile credential.

Refer to ‘ Save No-Tour Payloads for CredentialId API ’ in ‘ Schlage TM Mobile Credentials ’ product for detailed API method documentation.

  • Deleting No-Tour Payloads

You may end up having No-Tour Payloads that you want to delete when you want to revise the access. Please note that this can be performed before the patron has downloaded the latest updates (No-Tour Payloads) on the phone by calling in to the Allegion cloud. If the undesired access updates are downloaded on the patron’s phone, they will be presented to the device/lock on the next access attempt by the user.

One way of removing the undesired No-Tour payloads from the patron’s phone is by deleting the credential and the patron’s mobile application calls in to the Allegion cloud. This way, the patron’s mobile credential and the corresponding No-Tour Payloads are removed from the patron’s phone.

  • Delete No-Tour Payloads by Credential ID

The request to delete No-Tour Payloads can be made using a DELETE call, specifying Credential ID in the URL:

  • the ‘/SMC/credentials/mobile/{credentialId}/NoTour’ endpoint: To delete the saved No-Tour Payloads in the Credentialing system.

Request template:

curl -v -X DELETE "https://api.allegion.com/SMC/credentials/mobile/{credentialId}/NoTour" -H "Authorization: Bearer {Token}" -H "Accept: application/json;version=1" -H "alle-subscription-key: {subscription key}" --data-ascii ""

The response from the DELETE call above will be a  204 (NO CONTENT) with an empty response, and the all No-Tour Payloads associated with the Credential ID will be deleted.

Refer to ‘ Delete No-Tour Payloads by Credential Identifier‘ in ‘ Schlage TM Mobile Credentials ’ product for detailed API method documentation.

  • Delete No-Tour Payloads by Device Serial Number:

The request to delete No-Tour Payloads can be made using a DELETE call, specifying Device Serial Number in the URL:

  • the ‘ /SMC/credentials/mobile/ NoTour/Device/{deviceSerialNumber} ’ endpoint: To delete the saved No-Tour Payloads in the Credentialing system.
curl -v -X DELETE https://api.allegion.com/SMC/credentials/mobile/NoTour/Device/{deviceSerialNumber}" -H "Authorization: Bearer {Token}" -H "Accept: application/json;version=1" -H "alle-subscription-key: {subscription key}" --data-ascii ""

The response from the DELETE call above will be a  204 (NO CONTENT) with an empty response, and all the No-Tour Payloads associated with the Device Serial Number will be deleted.

Refer to ‘ Delete No-Tour Payloads by Device Serial Number ’ in ‘ Schlage TM Mobile Credentials ’ product for detailed API method documentation.

  • Saving No-Tour payloads per patron per Device/Lock. Only one credential can be assigned to a patron. However, the credential can have No-Tour payloads for multiple Device/Locks
  • Deleting No-Tour payloads per credential
  • Multiple credential assignment to a patron
  • Multiple No-Tour payloads per credential per Device/Lock
  • Delivery status of the payloads
  • Updating a No-Tour payload that is already sent to our API. Revision of payloads can be achieved by saving the payload to the Allegion Cloud again
  • Payload downloaded on a mobile device cannot be deleted. New payloads need to be created to revise undesired payloads
  • Unlike plastic credentials which contain jagSectors in its No-Tour JSON, mobile credentials contain No-Tour Payload
  • Unlike plastic, there is no sector limitation in mobile credential. Hence Group ID is not used in mobile credential
  • Since there is no Group IDs which are used to assign multiple devices to a group, Master Credential concept based on Group ID does not apply to mobile credential
  • The mobile app consuming the mobile No-Tour functionality should check in to the cloud to retrieve the latest No-Tour payloads before sending the payloads to the lock failing which the last downloaded payloads are delivered to the lock
  • To enable No-tour, a physical tour of the locks and readers is necessary for configuration.
  • No-tour can be used to add, update and block credentials but cannot be used to remove a credential from a lock/reader. Even if a credential is put in a blocked state, the credential remains on the lock/reader. This can cause a buildup of blocked credentials that can only be removed by touring the lock.
  • If using multiple users/credentials in one app, keep in mind that we do not store no-tour payloads. This means that when a user pulls their access payload and no-tour payload and this user doesn't get to use their no-tour payload before they switch to another user/credential, then that no-tour payload is lost.
  • When looking to remove access using no-tour you must send a no-tour payload with a status of “blocked”. Simply deleting a no-tour payload does not remove access from the lock, only deletes the payload.
  • After a credential is blocked, either by tour or no-tour, the only way to regain access for the credential on the lock is to tour the lock.
  • The PACs partners mobile app should check in to the Allegion cloud to retrieve the most recent no-tour payload before sending payloads to the lock.
  • PACS Partners are responsible for mapping UserId from the credential APIs to UserRefId of no-tour command in their software.

Masters Champions Dinner unites LIV Golf, PGA Tour players for 'an emotional night'

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Champions Dinner tipped its hat to Spain on Tuesday evening.

On what would’ve been the 67th birthday of Seve Ballesteros, the table of 33 champions of the Masters Tournament welcomed its newest member – Jon Rahm – before flooding the room with memories of Augusta’s first European victor.

"It was a great night; an emotional night," said Larry Mize, the 1987 winner. "Ben (Crenshaw) made sure that tonight was all about Jon, Seve and Jackie Burke."

Rahm sat at the head of the table, side-by-side with Ben Crenshaw, marking the first time a LIV golfer played host to the dinner.

And even though the narrative of PGA Tour vs. LIV Golf remains heated to some, for one night, the sides united.

"We’re a fraternity," said Crenshaw, who emcees the annual supper.

Added Charles Coody: "It couldn’t have been more congenial. Even Tom Watson at the very end of dinner, he stood from his chair and said how happy he was to see the camaraderie within our group. It was a wonderful night."

Thirty-three past champions attended the dinner. Angel Cabrera and Sandy Lyle were the only two former champs who didn't make. According to Mize, Lyle’s wife, Jolanda, was having inner ear problems, and the 1988 Masters winner elected to remain home.

“Jolanda tried to get Sandy to come,” Mize said. “But he didn’t want to come without her.”

Crenshaw, in his Texas drawl, opened the evening by welcoming Rahm to the Masters Club; he then gifted the Spaniard an inscribed gold locket in the form of the Club emblem.

Two years ago, at the 2022 Champions Dinner, Hideki Matsuyama stunned the table by reciting a speech in English, prompting Gary Player to toast in Japanese.

When asked earlier in the week about congratulating Rahm in Spanish, Crenshaw reflected on his Austin High School diploma.

"I took French," said Crenshaw, laughing.

From there, stories immersed the room about Seve.

Bernhard Langer orated a tale about the 1983 Ryder Cup at Palm Beach Gardens when Ballesteros struck a 3-wood out of a bunker from 230 yards onto the green.

Langer told the table that from the lie Seve had, no golfer – aside from Ballesteros – would’ve cleared the lip with anything less than a six iron.

Crenshaw also mentioned the passing of 1956 Masters Champion Jackie Burke.

Burke, who shared a Champions locker with Tiger Woods, died on Jan. 19, 10 days before his 101st birthday.

"God put me down here for a long spell," Burke said on his 100th birthday.

As defending champ, Rahm selected the menu for Tuesday evening, with his spread giving homage to Spain’s Basque region.

The meal began with six options for tapas and pintxos, Spanish for starters, before offering two main courses: Chuleton a la Parrilla, a ribeye with Piquillo peppers, or Rodaballo al Pil-Pil, a fish dish with white asparagus.

José María Olazábal chose the fish. Craig Stadler ordered red meat.

Coody picked fish.

"I didn’t want to venture too far into no-man’s land," Coody said.

According to multiple past winners, similar to last year, Phil Mickelson remained quiet, and despite being close to Rahm, he elected not to give a toast.

Scottie Scheffler, one off Masters lead, would leave if wife goes into labor

Change Text Size

Scheffler, the 2022 Masters champion, entered the week as the unquestioned favorite after finishing either first or second in his past three PGA TOUR starts. He won the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard and became the first player to win back-to-back PLAYERS Championships before finishing second at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.

“It's always nice getting around here bogey-free. I did a good job of staying patient today,” Scheffler said. “We kept the golf course in front of us. And, I mean, I executed some really nice up-and-downs to keep the round going.”

Half of Scheffler’s birdies came on par 3s, and the other half came on the par-5s.

Scheffler got up-and-down for birdie on the par-5 second hole and added another birdie at the par-3 sixth hole, where he hit his tee shot to 20 feet. He then made four birdies in a five-hole stretch on the second nine. He holed out a bunker shot on the par-3 12th, then made birdie on the par-5 13th after his ball stayed out of the creek surrounding the green and he got up-and-down for another birdie. He missed a 12-foot eagle putt on the par-5 15th and tapped in for birdie before hitting his tee shot to 3 feet at the par-3 16th.

“We stole a few shots on the par 3s, I felt like, and then I played the par 5s well,” said Scheffler, whose wife Meredith is home pregnant with the couple’s first child. Scheffler said Thursday that they were “underprepared” for the arrival but that he does not expect her to go into labor this week. He would leave the tournament if she does go into labor.

“I wouldn't say I'm very concerned,” Scheffler said. “We haven't seen any of the early signs. But pregnancy is weird. It can happen at any time. (We have) open lines of communication and she can get ahold of me if she needs to.

“I'm ready to go at a moment's notice.”

The way Scheffler has been playing, that may be the field’s only chance.

Tiger Woods at 1-under through 13 holes at Masters before play suspended for darkness

In his first round since the Genesis Invitational in February, Tiger Woods is currently 1-under-par (T17) through 13 holes at the Masters before play was suspended due to darkness. Woods’ first round will resume Friday morning before he goes out again to play his second round.

Woods opened his first round with a birdie, the second time in Woods’ career he’s started with a birdie on No. 1 in the opening round, per The Athletic’s Justin Ray. After a bogey on No. 4, Woods responded with a birdie on the par-5 8th to go back to 1-under-par.

Woods recorded pars on holes 9 through 13. He went 7-of-10 fairways hit and 7-of-13 greens in regulation. But it was Woods’ scrambling that was impressive, particularly on Amen Corner, where he recorded up-and-down pars on holes 11 and 12. His two-putt par on 13 before play ended Thursday kept Woods in red figures.

Scheffler, the 2022 Masters Champion, shot a 6-under 66 that puts him one shot behind DeChambeau on the leaderboard, but it’s hard to find someone around Augusta National believing in DeChambeau over Scheffler.

Such is the state of the Texan’s game — we watched him win the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship, and finish second at the Houston Open, in his last three starts.

“I felt like today I just did a really good job of — (caddie Ted Scott), I would say, did a really good job of kind of guessing the wind correctly, if that makes sense. You know, we stole a few shots on the par 3s, I felt like, and then I played the par 5s well,” Scheffler said.

That low scores like this were possible seemed unlikely 24 hours ago, when the forecast was so poor.

“When I was walking up to the first tee, I was fairly surprised with how many people were under par already. Going into today with the forecast the way it was supposed to be, and I’ve played this tournament once before in some pretty high winds, and it’s an extremely challenging golf course,” Scheffler said.

Tiger 1-under through 13

Woods T17 through 13 holes

(Photo: Ben Jared/PGA TOUR via Getty Images)

Tiger Woods is currently 1-under through 13 holes before play was suspended due to darkness.

After missing the 13th fairway, Tiger was able to find the green on his third shot. He two-putted for par.

Coming into the Masters, Woods played 24 holes of tournament golf.

Now, the five-time Masters champion is currently T17.

Play suspended due to darkness

Play was suspended at 7:51 p.m. ET due to darkness.

Woods with another par save on 12

Tiger Woods' tee shot on the par-3 12th landed in the pine staw over the green.

No problem for the five-time Masters champion. Woods was able to get it up and down to save par.

Tiger is still 1-under-par for the day, with the 13th hole likely the last before play gets suspended due to darkness.

Tiger pars 11 with pure approach shot

With the winds gusting on the par-4 11th, the first of Amen Corner, Tiger Woods recorded a par.

After his second shot was short of the green, Woods hit a pure pitch shot that stopped very close to the hole.

The five-time Masters champion remains 1-under-par.

Tiger starts his back 9 with a par on 10

Tiger Woods found the fairway on the par-4 10th.

Then his second shot faded into the greenside bunker.

Luckily, it was a good lie and Tiger was able to get the up and down for par.

Remains at 1-under-par for the tournament.

Scottie Scheffler seems generally unconcerned his wife, Meredith, will go into labor this week and he'll have to withdraw from the Masters.

“Maybe I should be more concerned.”

Højgaard chip ins

Nicolai Højgaard is putting on a chip-in clinic.

He chipped in on No. 7 to move into red figures.

Then he chipped in on the par-3 12th to improve to 4-under-par.

Højgaard is having quite the chipping day.

Woods shoots 1-under front 9

Making the turn in his opening round, Tiger Woods shoots a 1-under front nine.

Tiger had two birdies and one bogey in his front nine.

Currently six off the lead held by Bryson DeChambeau.

Justin Ray

Scheffler shoots 66

Scheffler shoots 66

Scottie Scheffler shoots a bogey-free 66 in the opening round of the Masters.

It is Scheffler's first career bogey-free round at the Masters.

He's the third reigning World No. 1 to open a Masters with 66 or lower. Dustin Johnson shot 65 in 2020 (won) and Greg Norman shot 63 in 1996 (finished second).

Harry Styles sighting

In other news, I met Harry Styles on the 17th tee box at Augusta National. He was watching Christo Lamprecht, the 6-foot-8 amateur from South Africa who qualified for the Masters by winning the British Amateur Championship.

Someone in Styles' camp seemed to have a connection to Lamprecht, potentially from Georgia Tech, where he is a current senior. I had a brief interaction with the British pop star, where he told me he has played Augusta National and this year is his second year attending the Masters.

DeChambeau in rhythm as he shoots 65

Bryson DeChambeau shot a stellar 7-under 65 at Augusta National and really seemed to be in a rhythm out there in blustering conditions, especially with the driver and putter. His mom, Jan, was following him and seemed to be enjoying his tee shots. After he bombed one all the way up to the patron walkway on No. 8, she yelled, "That's the Krank effect!" referencing the special long-drive competition driver that DeChambeau has in his bag right now.

The LIV golfer headed into the press center for a lengthy interview session after his round. He admitted to some past mistakes. He regrets his comment from the 2020 Masters, where he said he looks at Augusta National as "par 67."

More to come on that.

Tiger pars No. 7

Tiger Woods pars the par-4 7th after missing the fairway.

Woods remains at even par as he heads to the par-5 8th hole.

Patrick Cantlay with the shot of the day?

Patrick Cantlay has an early candidate for not just the shot of the opening round but the shot of the tournament.

Cantlay recorded a birdie on the par-4 17th...from the fairway.

An incredible hole out.

Scheffler climbing the leaderboard

Here comes Scottie Scheffler.

The 2022 Masters champion is in solo second after a birdie at the par-5 15th. He's about to make another birdie at 16.

Dominant golf from the World No. 1.

Tiger even through 5

Woods 7 off the lead

(Photo: Warren Little/Getty Images)

Through five holes, Tiger Woods is even par.

Woods has one birdie, one bogey and three pars.

A solid start to his 2024 Masters.

Here comes Rory

Rory McIlroy drains a lengthy birdie putt on the 14th hole.

With the par-5 15th upcoming.

McIlroy is 2-under-par for the tournament and five off the lead.

Woods bogeys the par-3 4th

After missing the green on the par-3 4th, Tiger Woods recorded his first bogey of this year's Masters.

Woods is now even par for the tournament.

Two Cardinals Participate in NFL-USO Tour

Two Cardinals Participate in NFL-USO Tour

Arizona Cardinals Trey McBride and DeeJay Dallas visited numerous military bases.

  • Author: Donnie Druin

In this story:

ARIZONA -- Arizona Cardinals players Trey McBride and DeeJay Dallas participated in the NFL's Salute to Service initiative by visiting six military bases in Poland.

"Each year as part of the NFL's  Salute to Service initiative,  the league collaborates with the USO to connect select NFL players with U.S. service members and their families at military bases across the globe, providing them with the opportunity to meet our nation's heroes and experience a day in their lives," read the NFL's press release.

"During this year's tour, Trey McBride and DeeJay Dallas interacted with service members to learn about their roles in the military and received mission briefs from senior leaders on their mission in Poland. They also observed military equipment demonstrations, participated in an Army combat fitness test, and joined in on a Madden gaming tournament with service members – all while conducting meet and greets and sharing meals with service members. The players also had a unique opportunity to meet with service members from the Arizona National Guard, who are ardent Arizona Cardinals fans."

More on the NFL-USO mission:

For nearly 60 years, the NFL and the USO have partnered to bring NFL players to military bases around the world to engage with and honor the country's military community. In 1966, the NFL first teamed with the USO and became the first sports organization to send players on an overseas tour to meet with service members, visiting military personnel stationed in Vietnam and the surrounding region. Since then, more than 250 NFL players, coaches and executives, including Legends Terry Bradshaw, Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jason Witten, have participated in NFL-USO tours spanning close to 30 countries and involving more than 100,000 U.S. service members.

Aerosmith has announced the rescheduled dates for the “Peace Out” farewell tour, which was abruptly postponed last September because of singer Steven Tyler ‘s ongoing vocal cord and larynx problems.

The singer’s doctor said last year that Tyler, “in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, fractured his larynx, which requires ongoing care. He is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential.”
