Le papangue

Ce nom détonnant est celui d'un oiseau, le seul oiseau prédateur de l'île de la Réunion . Ce rapace de la famille des busards porte un nom d'origine malgache : Papango , c'est ainsi qu'on nomme les milans sur la grande île. Son nom scientifique, Circus Maillardi , vient de l'homme qui différencia cet oiseau des autres busards européens en lui donnant le nom de busard Maillard .

Le papangue aime vivre dans les champs de cannes à sucre, au dessus de 500m d'altitude. On le retrouve aussi sur les hautes plaines à l'est et au sud de l'île. Il est impossible de le trouver ailleurs car cet oiseau est une espèce endémique. Il ne vit qu'à la Réunion.

Le papangue mâle est noir avec de grands taches blanches et la femelle est brune. Pour en savoir plus sur les papangues, consultez l'ancien site Web du club de parapente papangue . Le plus jolis est sans doute l'observation du mâle donnant à manger à la femelle en lachant ses proies en plein vol.

Seul oiseau prédateur de l'île, le papangue n'est pas aimé des réunionnais parce qu'il va parfois se nourrir dans les poulaillers. Mais, bien qu'il doive encore essuyer quelques coups de fusil, l'animal est aujourd'hui protégé.

AC/DC Launches First Tour in 8 Years: Videos, Photos, Set List

AC/DC launched their European Power Up tour with a performance in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on May 17.

The European trek marks the legendary hard rock group’s first full tour since 2016, though they did perform at the Power Trip festival in 2023. AC/DC certainly got things started with a bang during the Germany gig, delivering a fiery set full of their most celebrated hits.

After a video introduction, the band began their set with "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)," an emphatic opener that got the crowd cheering. "Wonderful to see you all again!" frontman Brian Johnson declared as the tune came to an end. "Enjoy yourself, OK?” From there, AC/DC launched into "Back in Black," their iconic 1980 single that had the whole stadium shaking.

"Demon Fire" was next in the set, marking the first song of the night from AC/DC's most recent album, 2020's Power Up . Still, it was the classic material that fans wanted to hear the most -- and AC/DC was more than happy to oblige. "Thunderstruck," "You Shook Me All Night Long," "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" and "Highway to Hell" were just some of the many timeless tracks featured throughout the performance.

After rocking through 22 songs, the band departed the stage momentarily, only to return for a two-song encore of "T.N.T." and "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)." See videos and a full set list from the concert below.

Who Is Playing in AC/DC’s New Lineup?

AC/DC’s lineup for the Power Up tour is notably different than the one they used a Power Trip in 2023. Original lead guitarist Angus Young is still in the fold, as is longtime singer Johnson, who arrived in 1980 following the death of Bon Scott . Joining them is rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, who became part of AC/DC after Malcolm Young ’s death in 2017.

The band’s two newest additions are drummer Matt Laug and bassist Chris Chaney, the latter of whom is best known to rock fans for his time in Jane’s Addiction . The Germany gig was Chaney's first with AC/DC, having officially replaced Cliff Williams  -- who had been with the group more than 40 years -- earlier this year.

AC/DC’s European tour will run through the summer, with the final show scheduled to take place on Aug. 17 in Dublin, Ireland.

Every Time Travis Kelce Caught Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour (So Far!)

The football star has popped up at a handful of Eras Tour stops in the past year, trading bracelets and charming fans along the way

Travis Kelce continues to be in his Taylor Swift era.

The football star has now seen his girlfriend on her worldwide Eras Tour six times — which makes sense, given that she made it to 13 of his Kansas City Chiefs games this past season (including the team's Super Bowl win! ).

Despite the couple's wildly busy schedules, they've both found time to be at each other's sides for important moments.

"Hopefully, everybody realizes we’re just two people supporting each other and having fun with it, man," Kelce shared on a January 2024 episode of The Pat McAfee Show .

The pair's love story started back in July of 2023, when Kelce attended Swift's tour stop on his home field, the Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Weeks later, the tight end revealed on his New Heights podcast that he'd made Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but didn't get the chance to give it to her.

"I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings," he said on the show, playfully adding that he "took it personal" when he couldn't meet her backstage.

Let's fast-forward to several tour stops later, when Kelce jetted down to Argentina on his November 2023 bye week to watch Swift in Buenos Aires during the South America leg of her tour. It's where fans caught a sweet video of Swift running into Kelce's arms for a kiss following the show, after he bonded with her dad Scott in their VIP box.

The night prior to the concert, the couple had a cozy dinner inside their hotel.

A source told PEOPLE that the two "looked so cute on their low-key date night" and that "they also left holding hands." The source added that "the crowd in the restaurant briefly cheered as they walked out" and that "Travis was beaming.”

Following the Chiefs' Super Bowl win — and Swift's epic travel from Tokyo to make it to Las Vegas to watch Kelce play — the footballer traveled to Australia , where he caught his third Eras Tour concert in a suite alongside celebrities including director Baz Luhrmann in February of 2024.

Once again, fans spotted him backstage for a post-concert kiss with Swift, and during their downtime, the couple visited the Sydney Zoo alongside Swift's opener, Sabrina Carpenter.

He opened up about the experience to brother Jason Kelce on New Heights, saying in part, "Saw a tiger sitting up in a treehouse. That s--- was f---ing sweet, ain’t gonna lie. Saw a lion close up. Dude, when you hear that [roar] — ‘cause I had Taylor take a picture — it just was like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ ”

Kelce revealed he saw "two amazing shows" when he joined Swift for part of her six-night stint in Singapore in March of 2024. Unlike his previous concert moments, he flew under the radar at these two, though fans did spot the couple walking through a mall during their time together there.

“The architecture's crazy," Kelce told his brother on New Heights, adding that despite the heat, he enjoyed seeing "the world's largest greenhouse" in addition to checking out the gorgeous views and "some lovely Singapore food."

When Swift picked her tour back up in Paris in May of 2024, Kelce was there , joining Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper in a box at La Défense Arena to see the 87th Eras show — a.k.a. the one that aligns with his jersey number.

Kelce sang along to Swift's new songs from her Tortured Poets Department album — specifically the ones about him! — danced, snapped videos and debriefed about it with brother Jason on New Heights.

"I don't know if they're just getting better or if I just keep forgetting how they are," Kelce said when asked how Paris compared to the previous shows he'd seen.

“I'll tell you what. Kansas City showed out,” he gushed . “Argentina was unbelievable. Australia, they partied with the best of them, and they celebrated with the best of them. Those three were unbelievable. Singapore was so unique and so fun. And then Paris was just — it was on a whole another level, man.”

In her first Eras Tour concert since the release of “The Tortured Poets Department,” Taylor Swift shook up her setlist.

At Thursday night’s show at the La Défense Arena in Paris, fans were treated to the inclusion of new songs from the record-breaking album released in April.

According to fan videos and news outlets, Swift performed “But Daddy I Love Him,” “So High School,” “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me,” “Down Bad,” “Fortnight,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart,” all from the new release, dressed in black and white to match her 11th studio album’s visuals.

The billion-dollar Eras Tour is meant to be a career retrospective, with Swift performing more than 40 tracks reflecting 17 years of recorded music. “The Tortured Poets Department” was her first brand-new release since the tour’s start.

The Paris show included several new costumes, and some edits to make room for the new material. Her “Folklore” and “Evermore” sections were woven into one, Billboard reported.

PHOTO RELEASE: Maryland Agricultural Commission Tour Caroline, Talbot County 

ANNAPOLIS, MD (May 17, 2024) – Members of the  Maryland Agricultural Commission   recently attended a day-long tour of several agriculture operations in  Talbot  and  Caroline Counties  on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, providing an opportunity to see firsthand the innovative practices and hard work that Maryland’s farmers and producers do to support local communities and the economy.  Joined by members of the department’s senior staff,  University of Maryland Extension  agents, and other local ag community members, the tour included visits to  Tilghman Island Seafood , the  Eastern Shore Conservation Center ,  Hutchison Brothers Farms ,  Honeybee Flower Farm ,  Wye Nursery , and  Oakland View Farms .

“These tours provide us with an opportunity to see firsthand the innovative practices and hard work that our farmers and producers are putting in every day to support our local economy and communities,” said  Maryland Department of Agriculture Secretary Kevin Atticks . “It’s through these experiences that we can continue to strengthen our relationship with local agriculture and work together to ensure a bright and sustainable future for Maryland’s agriculture industry.”

Starting at  Tilghman Island Seafood , attendees learned how owner  Nick Hargrove  and his team combat the invasive blue catfish species and support the local economy through their USDA approved wild caught Blue Catfish processing facility.

The next stop at the  Eastern Shore Conservation Center  in Easton allowed Commission members to view the role the organizations housed at the Center support conservation efforts and promote sustainable agricultural practices in Maryland.

The  Talbot Agriculture and Education Center  provided a locally sourced lunch prepared by  Easton High School  students in the culinary program. The program’s teacher, Linda Brown, also serves as the  Maryland Agricultural Fair Board  Vice President and shared the important work local fairs and shows do in supporting agriculture.

The forth stop at  Hutchison Brothers Farms , a nearly 3,500-acre farm, showcased its operations and contributions to the local economy.

Honeybee Flower Farm , a flower farm owned by Carrie Jennings, was the next stop where attendees learned about how to maintain and manage meadow-grown fresh-cut flowers.

In Caroline County, Commission members visited  Wye Nursery , founded in 1957 by the father of the current owner/operator, Karl Fischer, a fourth-generation horticulturist, who provided insights into the nursery’s history and how it has evolved to meet the changing needs of the industry.

The final stop was Oakland View Farms, a dairy farm operated by Dick Edwards and Scott Youse in Ridgely, MD. Attendees were able to see how the farm operates and gain perspective of its contribution to the local dairy industry.

WTA announces 2025 Hologic WTA Tour calendar

The WTA on Thursday announced the 2025 Hologic WTA Tour calendar, featuring over 50 tournaments across 26 countries and regions, providing the tour’s athletes with multiple opportunities to earn valuable points toward the WTA Rankings.

The 2025 season will mark the second full year of the revised calendar structure, which was introduced to better showcase the top athletes playing the top events and support sustainable long-term growth for players, tournaments and all stakeholders in the sport.

Key changes to the 2025 calendar include:

• The WTA 500 in Eastbourne, UK will change location to The Queen’s Club, London and take place the week of June 9, in the first week of the grass season. 
• The Nottingham WTA 250 event, also in the UK, moves one week later to the second week of the grass court season, the week of June 16 
• A WTA 250 will run in Eastbourne the week of June 23, Week 3 of the grass season, combined with an ATP 250.  The WTA 500 in Bad Homburg, Germany remains in the third week of the grass season, alongside Eastbourne
• WTA 1000 events of The National Bank Open presented by Rogers (Montreal) and the Cincinnati Open will expand to become 12-day tournaments, taking place over three weeks in the summer.                

“The 2025 calendar offers a clear and exciting narrative for our 1 billion global fan base to follow this incredible sport,” said Steve Simon, WTA Chairman and CEO. “We strive to create the best possible experience for everyone involved in women’s tennis, and from our first tournaments in Australia through to the WTA Finals Riyadh, it’s going to be another captivating season on the Hologic WTA Tour in 2025.”  

2025 marks the 52 nd year since the WTA was founded by Billie Jean King in 1973, uniting all of women’s professional tennis under one elite tour. Since then, the Hologic WTA Tour has grown to more than 1,600 athletes and $212 million in prize money at events around the globe.

Taylor Swift sings 'The Alchemy' as Travis Kelce attends Eras Tour in Paris

PARIS — Taylor Swift sang "The Alchemy" as part of her acoustic set of surprise songs during Sunday's Eras Tour show with boyfriend Travis Kelce in attendance. Several football metaphors in the song have led fans to believe Swift wrote it about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

"Can you believe this is the 87th show?" Swift asked during her acoustic set in La Défense Arena. Kelce wears No. 87. She then played a mashup on guitar of "The Alchemy" from her new album "The Tortured Poets Department" with "Treacherous" from "Red."

Kelce stood in his box as Swift glanced up at him and the crowd looked back and forth between the two.

"This happens once every few lifetimes," Swift sang. "These chemicals hit me like white wine.”

The crowd roared.

Kelce joined 40,000-plus fans for the fourth and final night of Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour in Paris. He watched from a box seat alongside actor Bradley Cooper, super model Gigi Hadid and rock star Lenny Kravitz.

The concert marks the fifth time Kelce has appeared at the tour since the couple went public last year. His first stop was Buenos Aires, Argentina, followed by Sydney, Australia, and two nights in Singapore . Swift has changed the “Karma” lyrics to "guy on the Chiefs" every time Kelce has cheered her on from the sidelines.

Kelce hadn’t seen the new set list live since Swift switched up the eras and added her 11th era, “ The Tortured Poets Department .” The singer-songwriter said she’s been working on the changes for 8-9 months (since last fall).

Hadid has famously been a member of Swift's squad for years now and has been dating Cooper for several months.

Other celebrities spotted in the crowd included Grey's Anatomy actor Jessica Capshaw and singer Christina Milian.

Her next stop is Stockholm, Sweden, as she continues the European leg of the tour.
