I attended the Sabrina Carpenter concert in Cologne, Germany (21st May 2017). I bought the VIP package with meet and greet.

I came for one and a half hour earlier to the venue and there was already a long line. It was really amazing to talk with the other fans. We also sang Sabrina songs together to make the waiting more fun. All in all the waiting itself was a good experience :-)

We had to build a line for the meet and greet . Sabrina is the most beautiful, humble and talented person I know. She was really sweet and it was great to talk to her. We made some selfies and a professional photo, which I could download a couple days after the concert.

One of the best experiences was to hear her acoustic performance of 3 songs. It was in separate area. She has such a powerful voice - it was incredible. She interacted with the audience and she was also very impressed how good we knew the lyrics of her songs and how loud we sang together with her.

After that I somehow managed to get right in front of the stage. After all VIPs had find their spot people with "normal" concert tickets were allowed to come in. The show started with a supporting act. He sang for about half an hour.

Sabrina sang for about one and a half hour. I love how she interacted with the crowd and how she made us feel to be part of the concert. She also tried to talk to us in German :-). It was the best concert I ever attended. I really hope she comes back soon. If you have the opportunity to see Sabrina live - just do it, you won't regret.

The only negative thing was that some parents stand right in front of the stage too so that people especially small children had really problems to see anything. I didn't have these problems (because I was front row) but I know some had really problems to see the performance. Maybe this can be organized better for futur concerts. Other parents just enjoyed the concert in back. I think the parents in the front row should have done this too.

The show was top notch. Sabrina is a phenomenal talent and she truly loves what she's doing. The crowd sang every song with her. The only issue had nothing to do with her but with some of the adults there. They basically refused to allow some of her young fans to be able to stand close to their idol and enjoy the show properly. Several young girls were forced from the front by these adults to the back in tears. This is not only extremely sad but completely uncalled for. These adults (like myself) were there to enjoy the show (yes Sabrina has fans of all ages, young and old alike, deal with it). There's nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy the show. There is, however, everything wrong with treating her young fans like crap and acting like a bunch of entitled, spoiled brats! To those so-called adults (and you know who you are) GROW UP!!!! Fortunately, I was able to help out a couple of the girls with finding a fairly decent viewing point so they could enjoy the show anyhow. Sabrina is a class act on every level. Those adults could learn a thing or two from her. Well done Sabrina. Congratulations on your first tour and all your success. You've earned and deserve every single bit of it. For me it was money well spent.

The concert itself was fantastic.

New Hope and Alex Aiono were very good and Sabrina is a solid entertainer for such a young individual.

Her shows are always packed with energy and her outfits are great.

The wait before was horrendous!!

The venue was not only chaotic, no one knew what was happening.

VIPS for Sabrina were in Alex Aiono's line and vice versa, and regular ticket holders were told to stand behind the VIPs.

I was upset about this as well, because I never received any notification that meet and greets were available. I purchased tickets almost immediately after they went on sale, and the meet/greets were not even offered!

Anyhow, after being pushed around to 3 different lines (from 3:30PM to 6:30PM), being that no one knew exactly where the lines were, the show was late.

Standing in the 90 degree humid weather, near the tour buses that were emitting more heat and exhaust, it was pretty unbearable.

Doors were supposed to open at 6 for seating, but that was delayed by at least a half hour with the simple explanation of Sabrina was being especially "chatty" with the VIPs and she created the delay.

The delay and wait prior to the concert was uncomfortable and not necessary.

Omg it was the most amazing concert I've ever been to!! I totally would recommend a Sabrina Carpenter concert for people of all ages and even for people who don't know her! My mom drove me to Darien lake and almost fainted just so I can see her in concert! I love Sabrina so much she's my idol and I look up to her a lot!! My favorite part of her concert was that she involves the crowd into her concert and in parts of her songs. She interacts with the crowd and just has a great time up on stage dancing and moving around, she looks so natural up on stage and that's only one thing that she's great at and one reason why I love her!! The crowd goes crazy for her and they love her and she's loves all of her fans back! I wish I got a vip meet and greet pass to meet my idol and make my dream come true but I got the preferred seating and I had the best time of my life. Just being there made me feel so happy and to eventually watch her grow and mature in her voice is something that I'm really excited for on top of her many albums to come! I'm will definitely go and see her again!! LOVE YOU SABRINA!!

The concert was absolutely stunning and amazing! She kept us engaged during the concert by letting us sing certain parts of the songs and got us hyped up when she asked us to get off our seats to jump with the music!! Sabrina even made us work out with her by shaking our limbs progressively faster in the middle of the concert. Most importantly, her vocals were absolutely melodic and exactly like what I heard on YouTube, just simply raw talent!

The audience was also very good as no one was really pushing one another to get to the front etc. and everyone was just singing and cheering along to your lovely music!

Once again, thank you for coming to Singapore to perform and I really appreciate it! I hope that you can fulfil your promise of coming here again, especially when you release Singular Act 2!

p.s. Please release it soon, I'm dying to hear the rest of the album ever since you released Pushing 20 and unofficially Exhale.

I loved the concert last night! It was my first real concert and I loved it! Sabrina Carpenter is my favorite artist/singer and when I found out that she was coming to town I immediately asked my parents to go. I loved to choice of songs and the videos that played in the background; my dad especially loved the coordination of the videos. However, I wish some more songs from the "Eyes Wide Open" album, but still loved the songs. The two outfits were fabulous and awesome! I loved the lighting, too. I have listened to Sabrina Carpenter's music since "Can't Blame a Girl for Trying" came out. I watched Disney channel mainly because "Girl Meets World" was on the channel. My favorite song of Sabrina Carpenter is "Eyes Wide Open," it has always been my favorite song ever and always will be. I know every lyric to almost all of her songs and I love her music. It was a great experience to watch her and her band in concert.

This was one of the best shows I’ve attended. Maggie Lindemann, the opening act, sounded very good and got me hyped for the show. Sabrina came out with amazing energy, dancing and singing her heart out the entire show. She sounded phenomenal, and I was extremely excited. The highlight of the night was when I held up my sign and Sabrina read it out loud before Prfct, which is awesome especially because the sign read “Sabrina, ur Prfct to me, we love you”. That meant so much to me that she read it. Overall, this show was infinity stars/5 and I can’t wait for her to come back.

The venue was GREAT! Very personable and enough space to where we didn't feel over crowded!

My daughter Abby had the time of her life! Sabrina mentioned her poster since this was her bday present! She has been BEAMING ever since last night! The band that opened was great too! Interacting with their fans with pictures! Abby will also remember that forever! She said citizen four will be bigger than One Directon! Love the enthusiasm of a soon to be 14 year old! Haha

Thank you for asking for a review!

Sabrina's concert was so amazing! I was right next to the stage and it wasn't too loud. The sound, lights, FX, and the entire experience was amazing. She made sure that her fans knew she cared and appreciated us. Sabrina has amazing stage present and is so humble and kind in person. It was a huge relief knowing that it was live. Sabrina is truly a gifted individual and I will be attending another one of her concerts in the future.

Sabrina Carpenter is set to conquer the Manila stage for the first time for her ‘emails i can’t send tour.’

Live Nation has unveiled details and ticket prices to the singer-songwriter’s first solo concert in the Philippines at the New Frontier Theater on July 25, 2023. Carpenter embarked on her tour in September of last year in the US. She later added dates for Asia, including Singapore, Japan, Thailand, and Manila.

The 23-year-old hitmaker catapulted to stardom after co-starring in Disney Channel’s ‘Girl Meets World,’ which ran from 2014 to 2017. She has released a few albums, such as  ‘Can’t Blame a Girl For Trying EP (2014),’ ‘Eyes Wide Open (2015),’ ‘EVOLution (2016),’ ‘Singular: Act I (2018),’ ‘Singular: Act II (2019),’ and her 2022 studio album ‘Emails I Can’t Send,’ which was also expanded with a deluxe edition titled ‘Emails I Can’t Send Fwd’ last March.

Her fifth studio album, where her tour name comes from, gathered great attention from fans around the world. It featured viral tracks such as ‘Nonsense’ and ‘Because I Loved a Boy.’

The singer’s first and only visit to Manila was back in 2018 for an episode of a Sunday noontime show where she performed a collaboration single with Filipino rapper Shanti Dope.

General pre-sale for ‘Sabrina Carpenter: emails i can’t send’ in Manila is still ongoing as of this writing. This event was made possible by Live Nation Philippines.

Sabrina Carpenter Short n' Sweet Tour: Ticket Prices, Presale Codes, Dates And Setlist

Sabrina Carpenter's new album 'Short n' Sweet' is coming but will there be a Short n' Sweet Tour? Here's what we know.

Listen to this article

Obsesso with ' Espresso ' and want to see Sabrina Carpenter live in concert? We're here to give you all of the info you need.

Sabrina Carpenter season is officially in full swing. After dominating the charts with ' Nonsense ' and ' Feather ' from ' Emails I Can't Send ', Sabrina has now reached new heights of success with her Eras Tour support slot, Coachella show and her smash hit 'Espresso'. As a result, it's no wonder that people are desperate to see Sabrina on tour.

With her new album ' Short n' Sweet ' on the way, and a major easter egg on her website, all signs point to Sabrina heading out on the road again very soon. With that in mind, here's everything we know so far about Sabrina's next headline tour including ticket prices, presale codes, dates, setlist and so much more.

Sabrina Carpenter teases next Short n' Sweet single

Is Sabrina Carpenter going on tour in 2024?

Back in May, Hits Daily Double reported that Sabrina would be announcing an arena tour in the near future. Now, it looks like an announcement could be imminent. On June 3rd, Sabrina revealed that she will be releasing her sixth studio album 'Short n' Sweet' on August 23rd leading to speculation that she will announce a tour in support of the album.

Not only that but Sabrina also gave her site a full update and the tour page now features the words 'Tour Planning Services' and an eye graphic on it as well as Sabrina's festival dates this summer (Sabrina will be playing The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York on June 8th and the Capital Summertime Ball in London on June 16th).

As a result, fans are convinced that Sabrina is "planning" the tour and will be announcing tour dates in the coming weeks.

Sabrina Carpenter Short n' Sweet Tour presale codes: How to find a presale code for your country

When Sabrina does announce a tour in support of 'Short n' Sweet', there will likely be a presale. If it's a world tour in arenas, she will probably have a Citi Verified Fan Presale in the US and an O2 Priority Presale in the UK.

On top of that, there may also be additional Live Nation and fan presales. For the Emails I Can't Send Tour, there was a fan presale via Sabrina's mailing list.

Whatever happens, we recommend signing up to Sabrina's mailing list to get any presale information as soon as it becomes available.

Sabrina Carpenter Short n' Sweet Tour ticket prices: How much will the tickets be?

Based on Sabrina's huge rise in popularity and rumours that she will be playing arenas this tour, our guess is that tickets will be more expensive than the Emails I Can't Send Tour. In the UK, standing tickets for the Emails I Can't Send Tour were £29.50.

For comparison tickets for recent arena tours by Billie EIlish and Olivia Rodrigo have ranged between £75 and £150 for standard tickets.

It's also possible that Sabrina will offer a range of VIP tickets and fan experiences for an additional cost.

Sabrina Carpenter Short n' Sweet Tour presale codes: How to find a presale code for your country

Short n' Sweet Tour dates: When is Sabrina Carpenter going on tour?

Sabrina is yet to announce any dates for a Short n' Sweet Tour but it's not unusual for artists to launch tours shortly after their albums come out. Essentially, we could be seeing Sabrina headlining her own shows again as soon as this September. 'Emails I Can't Send' came out on July 15th 2022 and the tour started on September 29th that year.

Sabrina Carpenter Short n' Sweet Tour locations: What cities will Sabrina play in?

No cities for Sabrina's tour have been confirmed just yet but, based on her international popularity, it seems likely that this will be a world tour and Sabrina's biggest tour to date. For the Emails I Can't Send Tour, Sabrina did shows in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Our bet is that Oceania will also be part of the next tour.

If you're worried about Sabrina missing your city this tour, there's a "play my city" button on her tour page where you can submit a request for Sabrina to play in any city you like.

Short n' Sweet Tour dates: When is Sabrina Carpenter going on tour?

Sabrina Carpenter Short n' Sweet Tour setlist: What songs will she play?

With a new album on the way, it seems likely that Sabrina's next tour setlist will predominantly feature songs from 'Short n' Sweet', as well as her biggest hits and fan favourite deep cuts.

'Espresso', 'Nonsense' and 'Feather' all seem like definite choices. Based on her recent set lists, 'Tornado Warnings', 'Vicious' and 'bet u wanna' could also feature.

Whether or not Sabrina plays any songs from her Singular albums or previous projects is yet to be seen.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift always keeps her promises. Just a couple weeks after unveiling a list of Latin American dates for her bestselling Eras Tour and pledging to schedule even more across the globe, the 33-year-old pop star has now announced a slew of international shows for the trek in 2024.

Here Are the Artists Opening for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour: Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers…

Trending on billboard.

Swift first confirmed that the Eras Tour would be going global earlier this month, when the “Anti-Hero” singer announced a Latin American leg of shows in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina also featuring support from Carpenter, whom Swift called a “sweet angel princess.” “Really thrilled to tell you this!!” the pop star wrote in a post to her social media accounts at the time. “Mexico, Argentina and Brazil: We are bringing The Eras Tour to you this year!” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

“LOTS more international dates to come soon, promise!” she added.

Ten days later, Swift added three additional shows to the Latin America leg, which kicks off in early August and picks up in November.

In addition to the new shows, Swifties also have a new album to look forward to in the coming weeks. As announced in May, Swift’s third studio album, Speak Now, will receive the “Taylor’s Version” treatment. Re-recordings of the set’s original tracks drop July 7, as do previously unreleased “Vault” tracks featuring Hayley Williams and Fall Out Boy.

After conquering the charts with “Espresso,” Sabrina Carpenter is ready to share her sixth full-length album , “Short n’ Sweet.” The LP is set for an Aug. 23 debut.

Carpenter shared the news on her social media along with the sultry sweet album artwork that has her front and center with a ruby red kiss mark on her shoulder. In the caption, Carpenter wrote, “I am so excited to announce my brand new album ‘Short n’ Sweet’ coming in August. This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too. I also have a surprise coming for you on Thursday night so keep an eye out.”

Adding fuel to her fire, Carpenter also appeared as a guest on “Saturday Night Live,” and took over the mainstage at California’s Coachella festival. That weekend, she performed “Espresso” live for the first time, just days after the single premiered.

Carpenter released her fifth studio album “Emails I Can’t Send” last year, and it became her highest-charting to date. The LP included a hot single “Nonsense,” which has quickly become a fan favorite. She followed the 2022 release with a deluxe edition earlier this year, and embarked on an 80-date international headlining tour to support the project. She was also the opening act on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour , opening for the singer in South America and Australia.

Carpenter started her career in entertainment as the star of the  2014-17 Disney Channel comedy “Girl Meets World .” She simultaneously was working on music, first under the Disney-owned Hollywood Records, and now under Island Records.

Sabrina Carpenter Drops Easter Eggs Like Taylor Swift as She Announces Single 'Please Please Please'

This is not the first time the singer-songwriter has left clues for future releases

sabrina asia tour

Sabrina Carpenter is following in the footsteps of tourmate Taylor Swift .

On Wednesday, June 4, the 25-year-old singer announced her newest single, “Please Please Please” — but fans had spotted those words before.

Devotees of the singer were quick to remember that social media star Emma Chamberlain and Theater Camp ’s Owen Thiele had held a sign reading “PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLAY ESPRESSO!” at Carpenter's Coachella set in April. The sign had caught the attention of Carpenter onstage, who read it out to the audience, seen in a video posted to TikTok with over 2 million views.

And she’s learned from the best. Swift — who invited Carpenter to open for several legs of her global smash “Eras Tour” — has been known to leave clues for her forthcoming projects for years, sending fans combing through her music videos and even puzzling the code of her website .

“I love to communicate through Easter eggs,” Swift told Entertainment Weekly in 2019 . “I think the best messages are cryptic ones.”

Frazer Harrison/Getty

But this is not the first time Carpenter has dropped hints for future releases. For instance, Carpenter told The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon in 2022 that she had hidden the name of her then-forthcoming fifth album, Emails I Can’t Send , in work she had already released.

Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

But some overzealous fans have read a bit too far into the singer’s every move. In a February 2021 interview with podcaster Zach Sang, the “Feather” singer admitted that she had “dropped a couple of Easter eggs” in her music video for her song “Skin” — though she noted some were “on purpose” and some were not.

"That's what's fun," Carpenter told Sang. "It's like a game of Blue's Clues — you keep 'em speculating."

Sabrina Carpenter/Instagram

Even Carpenter was surprised when fans theorized a digital cover of Cosmopolitan from March, an image of the singer that featured three numbers on pool balls (8, 2 and 3), was hinting at the yet-to-be-announced Aug. 23 release date for her upcoming album Short n’ Sweet . In a video posted to the magazine’s Instagram , Cosmopolitan said the Easter egg was “totally unplanned” and that “Sabrina was just as shook as we are” because the album release date “was not locked at the time of shoot.”

As Carpenter gears up to release her latest LP, fans are eagerly watching her every move — including a comment she left on a recent post by singer Tyla on Instagram .

“would love to take you to dinner,” Carpenter wrote, to which the “Water” singer responded, “pick me up at 4:11💋.”

Will there be a collab on the album? We’ll have to wait until Aug. 23 to find out.

Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan in the Please, Please, Please music video

Sabrina Carpenter fans have gone ‘feral’ since her Please, Please, Please music video featuring real-life boyfriend Barry Keoghan dropped.

The Espresso singer, 25, dropped her new single from her upcoming sixth album Short n’ Sweet set for release on August 23.

The Bardia Zeinali-directed video sees Carpenter sitting in a holding cell – having been arrested at the end of her Espresso music video – before catching the eye of her boyfriend Keoghan, 31 , as he gets dragged into prison.

The singer is seen waiting for him on the outside as he is later released, and the video follows the pair as she aids in him kidnapping a man and robbing a bank.

Saltburn star Keoghan gets re-arrested and Carpenter is again waiting for him on the outside, before handcuffing him to a chair and putting duct tape over his mouth and kissing him.

And it has certainly caused a stir among fans, with their ‘electric’ chemistry leaving viewers ‘deceased.’

Mlleskamala said they ‘love when sexy people unite’, while Leftbbs wrote: ‘Sabrina & Barry just ate the whole thing up I fear.’

JanonKelikoa had the incredible idea that the pair should star as ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’, and Nfrloves said the lovebirds are the new ‘it couple.’

Devon Gabriella wrote: ‘Deciding I’m gonna be present on here anyway is anyone else smiling and kicking their feet at Sabrina & Barry in the please please please video I’m blushing.’

Many couldn’t help but swoon over the couple’s sizzling chemistry in the music video, pointing out how ‘in love’ they appear.

‘Their dynamic is actually crazy,’ Breakingreverie said. Hauntediivy joked: ‘Sabrina really saw that deleted scene from The Batman with Barry as Joker , and saw Saltburn, and said “My man looks best when he’s crazy” and I respect her for it.’

Others proclaimed that this is the only way to ‘hard launch’ a relationship, with NickiDelReyy proclaiming that they are ‘two people that matched each other’s freak.’

Bocamillie echoed several fans’ views, adding: ‘Like someone pick my jaw up off the floor.’

Oscar nominee Keoghan recently attended the Met Gala in New York with girlfriend Sabrina, appearing to take inspiration from the Victorian era.

He sported an eye-catching look by Burberry, made up of an olive velvet tailored suit and waistcoat, teamed with a ruffled cream shirt with a necktie and a black top hat.

Carpenter wore an Oscar de la Renta black velvet bodice with a voluminous blue satin skirt.

The pair were also spotted at the Coachella music festival getting cosy together in April.

It comes after Keoghan’s split from  long-term girlfriend Alyson Sandro , with who he shares son Brando, one .

The dental nurse accompanied him during awards season last year after they started dating in early 2021.

Sabrina previously dated popstar Shawn Mendes , before the couple split in 2021.

Asian Americans call on Shane Gillis to apologize for past racial slurs amid launch of the new Netflix show

Shane Gillis speaks onstage

Several Asian American groups gathered in the Chinatown district of Los Angeles Thursday afternoon to call for comedian  Shane Gillis  to apologize for using “offensive racial remarks” in his stand-up performances.

Leaders of the  Media Action Network for Asian Americans , Chinese American Citizens Alliance Los Angeles and the Greater Los Angeles Japanese American Citizens League gathered at the Chinese American Citizens Alliance Lodge for a press conference, in which the groups also implored Netflix to cancel Gillis’ new sitcom “Tires” and that Bud Light cut all promotional funding toward his comedy tour unless an apology is issued.

Netflix and Anheuser-Busch did not respond to NBC's request for comment in time for publication.

“For centuries, xenophobic stereotypes and slurs that cast Asian Americans as perpetual foreigners have endangered our communities, as seen most recently in the spike in anti-Asian hate crimes and incidents since 2020,” California House representative Judy Chu said in a statement, delivered at the conference by Mitchell Matsumura, president of the Los Angeles chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League. “I hope now, after these years of hate and discrimination against our communities, Mr. Gillis has taken the time to reflect upon his past words and actions and will finally apologize to the Asian American community.”

Gillis received criticism in September 2019 after videos of him using slurs resurfaced online. In 2018, his own podcast , “Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast," featured Gillis stating, “Chinatown is f-----g crazy… Let the f-----g ch--s live there.” On the "Real Ass Podcast” , Gillis called then-presidential candidate Andrew Yang a “Jew ch--k.”

At the time, Gillis had been recently announced as a new member of “Saturday Night Live,” but the controversy was followed by him being dropped from the show just four days after the casting. NBC Universal is the parent company to both “SNL” and NBC News. In a statement at the time, Gillis said, “I’m happy to apologize to anyone who’s actually offended by anything I said. My intention is never to hurt anyone. But I’m trying to be the best comedian I can be. And sometimes that requires risks.”

MANAA founding president Guy Aoki called the quote a “lame apology” at the Chinatown press conference on Thursday.

In the years since, Gillis has emerged as a prominent name in comedy. Along with a successful stand-up tour, he independently produced “Tires” before selling the six-episode series to Netflix, which has since renewed it for a second season. His “SNL” arc also came full circle this spring, when he hosted an episode.

At the press conference, Aoki shared that he sent letters to both Netflix and Anheuser Busch brewing company demanding Gillis make amends. The lack of response prompted him and other Asian American community leaders to hold a press conference on the matter.

“All of this sends a very hurtful message. If you duck a few years, slowly build your career back up and continue on as if nothing had happened, you can come back even stronger than ever,” Aoki said. “There’s a history of the industry allowing comedians who make offensive racial remarks… to not have to apologize.”

Cindy Wu, founder of the Anti-Asian Hate Coalition, said that Gillis’ refusal to take responsibility is “deepening the wounds” of Asian American communities.

“The aftermath of COVID-19 has led to many Asian Americans grappling with increased discrimination and violence. Our communities are still healing,” said Wu. “So I call for accountability and apology.”

After Trump’s Conviction, a Wary World Waits for the Fallout

Already braced for uncertainty about the U.S. election, countries in Europe and Asia are now even more unclear about the future of American diplomacy.

Mr. Trump, in a dark blue suit and bright blue tie, walks past metal police barricades with a group of other men.

By Hannah Beech and Paul Sonne

  • May 31, 2024

The world does not vote in American presidential elections. Nor do its jurors play a part in the American judicial system. Nevertheless, the conviction of Donald J. Trump on all 34 felony counts in a hush-money trial in a New York court on Thursday has again made clear how consequential what happens in the United States is for the rest of the planet.

Many America-watchers are grappling with the same questions posed by people in the United States: Can Mr. Trump still run for president? (Yes.) And if so, will the guilty verdicts cut into the support from his political base? (Unclear.)

Foreign observers also began wondering if Mr. Trump, already a volatile force, would become even less likely to stay within the guardrails of normal politics and diplomacy if he won the presidency again in November.

Mr. Trump’s supporters in anti-immigrant, right-wing nationalist circles abroad quickly jumped to his defense. Viktor Orban, Hungary’s Kremlin-friendly prime minister, called Mr. Trump “a man of honor” in a post on X and said the American people should deliver their own verdict in November.

Matteo Salvini, Italy’s deputy prime minister and the leader of the hard-right League party, expressed “solidarity and full support,” and called Mr. Trump a “victim of judicial harassment.”

“This verdict is a disgrace,” Nigel Farage, the pro-Brexit campaigner and Trump supporter, who is honorary president of Reform UK, a small right-wing party in Britain, wrote on social media. “Trump will now win big.”

President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia did not immediately respond to the verdict but has seized on the situation more broadly to undermine American influence. Mr. Putin last year called the various proceedings against Mr. Trump political “ persecution ” and said they had revealed the “rottenness of the American political system, which cannot pretend to teach others about democracy.”

His spokesman, Dmitri S. Peskov, reiterated the point on Friday in response to the verdict, saying it was clear to the entire world that the U.S. authorities were trying to eliminate political rivals “by all possible legal and illegal means.”

The convictions by a Manhattan jury come as the question of American engagement has become central in several global crises.

In Ukraine, the war effort against Russia has been stymied after Republicans in Congress delayed American military aid for months.

In Europe, leaders reliant on the United States for their defense are jittery about a return to a more acrimonious relationship with Washington and a possible withdrawal of American support for hardening defenses against Russia.

In Asia, where the Biden administration perceives a growing Chinese threat and worries about a possible invasion of Taiwan, American allies are concerned about the sanctity of defense treaties that have long girded the regional security order.

On the campaign trail, Mr. Trump has said he would encourage Russia to attack any NATO member that doesn’t pay sufficiently for its defense and has questioned whether the United States should defend South Korea, a treaty ally that hosts a large American military presence. He is considering the Ohio senator J.D. Vance, one of Washington’s most vociferous opponents of military aid for Ukraine, as a possible running mate.

Foreign analysts worry that Mr. Trump’s favored currency, unpredictability, could again shake up the global order.

Concern about his possible return to the White House is particularly palpable in Germany, the object of Mr. Trump’s ire for much of his first term and the host of more than 35,000 U.S. troops.

Andrea Römmele, vice president of the Hertie School, a public policy-focused graduate school in Berlin, said many Germans watching the Trump verdict were relieved to see that even a former president was not above the law in the United States. But she said Germans remained very anxious about a Trump victory.

“I think everyone is much more prepared to think the unthinkable,” she said.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk of Poland, whose right-wing domestic opponents accuse him of using the judiciary to settle political scores, hailed the conviction of Mr. Trump in New York as “an American lesson” for Polish politicians.

“The law determines guilt and punishment, regardless of whether the perpetrator is a president or a minister,” Mr. Tusk said in a message posted on X. A veteran centrist, Mr. Tusk took office after an October election that ousted a nationalist government that cultivated close ties with Mr. Trump during and after his time in the White House.

Still, on Friday, most foreign governments, forced to surf every shift in the American political mood, reacted cautiously.

“I would like to refrain from commenting on matters related to judicial procedures in other countries,” Yoshimasa Hayashi, Japan’s chief cabinet secretary, said at a news conference in Tokyo on Friday.

In Britain, where a national election campaign is underway, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak refused to discuss the Trump case. His Labour Party opponent, Keir Starmer, a former top prosecutor, said he respected the court’s decision and called the situation unprecedented.

“Ultimately whether he is elected president will be a matter for the American people and obviously, if we’re privileged to come in to serve, we would work with whoever they choose as their president,” Mr. Starmer told BBC Radio Scotland.

Mao Ning, a spokeswoman for China’s foreign ministry, declined to comment on the verdict. She said she hoped whoever was elected president would “be committed to developing healthy and stable China-U. S. relations.”

The possibility of Mr. Trump’s return to the White House is a source of anxiety for U.S. allies in Asia that rely on Washington for their defense.

When Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan made a state visit to Washington in April, President Biden called relations between the countries the most important bilateral alliance in the world. With American concern rising over China’s expanding military footprint, Mr. Biden has strengthened American defense partnerships with Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and others in Asia.

By contrast, while president, Mr. Trump called for Japan, which hosts more than 50,000 American troops on its soil, to pay $8 billion for the upkeep of American bases there. (It never happened.)

Still, the fundamental tension in regional geopolitics — the contest between the United States and China — will continue no matter who wins the American presidential election.

“Beijing has no illusion about Trump or Biden, given their anti-China solid stance,” said Lau Siu-kai, an adviser to the Chinese government on Hong Kong policy. “Beijing is all set for a more intense confrontation with the U.S. over technology, trade and Taiwan.”

Officials in China’s embassy in the United States and its consulates around the country are most likely scrambling to assess how the verdict could affect the election, said Willy Lam, an analyst of Chinese politics at the Jamestown Foundation in Washington.

“The majority of Xi Jinping’s advisers now think a Trump presidency might be worse for U.S.-China relations,” Mr. Lam said of China’s top leader. “If Trump were to win, given the now peculiar circumstances of his victory, he might gravitate towards unpredictable actions to assert his authority.”

There is a sense in Asia that the region is perennially overlooked and underappreciated by U.S. presidents, particularly as crises in Europe and the Middle East have monopolized Mr. Biden’s attention. That sentiment was also felt acutely during Mr. Trump’s presidency, and for American partners in Asia it was made worse by his affinity for regional strongmen.

In addition to occasional expressions of admiration for Mr. Putin and Kim Jong-un of North Korea, Mr. Trump invited to the White House a former army chief who led a coup in Thailand and installed himself as prime minister. Mr. Trump drew accolades from Rodrigo Duterte, formerly the president of the Philippines and now under investigation by the International Criminal Court over his deadly war on drugs.

The Philippines is now led by the son of the longtime dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos, who died in exile in Hawaii. He has reoriented the country away from China back toward the United States.

In at least one regard — the prosecution of former leaders — the rest of the world is far ahead of the United States. South Korea, where four former presidents have been convicted of corruption and abuse of power, has made something of a national sport of imprisoning disgraced leaders. The former French presidents Nicolas Sarkozy and Jacques Chirac were convicted of corruption.

Jacob Zuma, the former president of South Africa, has been charged with money laundering, among other crimes. And Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was sentenced to years in prison for corruption after leading Brazil. His convictions were eventually annulled. He is again president of the country.

Reporting was contributed by Stephen Castle, Elisabetta Povoledo, Roger Cohen, Zixu Wang, Andrew Higgins, Camille Elemia , Choe Sang-Hun , Motoko Rich , Alexandra Stevenson , Sui-Lee Wee and Sameer Yasir .

An earlier version of this article misstated the length of Rodrigo Duterte’s term in office. It was six years, not eight years.
