‘We had a personal guide who was brilliant, plenty of stories and factual information… Our guide brought the lighthouse to life at every stage of our tour. A fabulous day in one of the most beautiful places in the world’ Richard James
GROUP TOURS
Welcome all year round
Come experience a warm Donegal welcome on the Wild Atlantic Way, explore our spectacular coast and hear the story of this iconic working lighthouse from local guides with a wealth of knowledge.
There is no maximum group size but please note that a limited number of persons may climb the tower at a time. For larger groups, we rotate certain elements of the tour so that everyone can enjoy the tour together.
We also welcome queries from groups who have a specialist interest such as photography, the night sky, coastal activities, and we can advise on local activity providers if you wish to combine your visit with another group activity.
INCREDIBLE 360 VIEWS
Climb The Tower
Learn about the lighthouse keepers and their families, the shipwrecks of Lough Swilly, and how the light itself has changed over two centuries of keeping ships safe at sea. Climb 76 steps to the top of the tower for spectacular views over land and sea.
Explore the beautiful, rugged scenery of Fanad Head, a Wild Atlantic Way signature discovery point. Enjoy a coffee & snack, or browse the craft shop for some unique souvenirs and local crafts.

Excellent place to visit I was very surprised at the amount of information on the tour, excellent guide really knowledgeable, great the climb to the top and see the fantastic views, the grounds and facilities around it are also great.”

What our happy visitors say.
We had a lovely family day out here. We brought a picnic and sat and watched the sea. Afterward we did a tour of the lighthouse… The tour was very informative and the guide was fantastic. My young nephew start asking questions about sharks which had nothing to do with the lighthouse however the guide happy chatted with my nephew about sharks. It was great going up the tower”
Grainne Holo
Astonishing view. A full immersion in the sound of the wind and the sea in a typical Irish landscape. Even possible to rent a room and sleep there. Unforgettable.”
Massimo Bassini
Really worth the drive out to Fanad Head through the heart of Donegal. The tour of the light house was very informative. The sea views and surrounding landscape will take your breath away.”
Nick FitzGerald
Lovely place for a visit, the tour guide was very informative, even if the weather wasn’t great we really enjoyed our tour. Spectacular views, great place to learn some local history. Nice clean cafe.”
We spent part of our honeymoon at the lighthouse. It was absolutely incredible. We loved it! The views, the peace, the wind, the crashing sea…perfection. John’s lighthouse tour was a highlight x”

Ireland's first and only SPECIALIST Camino school tour company!
What does a camino school tour involve.
Walk the final 100 km to Santiago de Compostela to complete the challenge that has faced pilgrims for over 1,000 years.
Today, the Camino is many things to many people; in 2019 alone, over 347,000 people received their Camino cert upon arriving in Santiago.
For your school tour, would you like an a tour that combines culture, fun, a history of pilgrimage, a physical challenge, time spent with old friends and making new ones, space for mental wellbeing and usually plenty of sun and fun thrown in? Then maybe the Camino is where your school needs to be!
What shape does my school tour take?
There are a few different ways in which a school can go about walking the 100km to Santiago along the Camino Francés. For full details on any of these options, contact us!
You also have the possibility of walking on the Camino Portugués or the Camino Finisterre; slightly more expensive in that you’ll be staying in ensuite rooms rather than hostels.
5 nights – the best value option
By walking 9km to Portomarin on the evening you arrive, it’s possible to complete the remainder of the 100km over 4 days.
6 nights option
Starting from Sarria the morning after you arrive, you complete 115km over 5 full days of walking.
Full week option
Similar to the 6 nights, but you also get a full free day in Santiago to explore the delights of its UNESCO World Heritage old town.
Large groups (40-50 +)
We have brought school groups of 100 people; we use a single albergue for the entire trip which has proven to be very popular!
What do we include as standard - why choose Camino Groups?
- A licensed and bonded company (licensed by the CAR in Ireland) – your booking is safe with us.
- Flights booked at cost.
- Airport transfers – to and from Santiago de Compostela airport.
- Accommodation is typically in hostels/albergues and then in Santiago you get the comfort of hotel rooms!

- Bag transfers: Your bags are moved each day to your next accommodation.

- Camino Groups is an Irish business through and through – Irish owned, located (in Clare!) and licensed.
Some of our Irish schools - a mix of Meath, Dublin, Donegal and Limerick!
And what do the schools say?......
A student’s opinion…..
“We went on our TY trip to do the Camino. It was one of the best weeks of my life. We met lots of different people along the way and made some class memories. Was very scenic and I would highly recommended to anyone to do it!!” Lillie, Student, Ballinrobe Community School, walked the Camino in 2022.
“The Camino school tour is a wonderful way to experience Spain – the rural Spain, away from the beaten track, giving all involved a sense of responsibility, ownership, independence, guided freedom, challenge and achievement every day they walk.
Thank you for making the experience of organising the trip so easy.”
Loreto College, Letterkenny.
“The best, it has sent a huge positive vibe around the whole school. It is unbelievable the effect that this trip has had on our students and the positivity they have brought back with them.”
Confey College, Leixlip
“Compared to other school tours, it is totally different. And all the better for it. It’s a unique experience and experience is the key word. There are so many elements to this tour that you can’t get on an orthodox trip to Paris or Barcelona. The challenge is part of it – culturally, spiritually, physically – you are challenged and rewarded.”
Fingal College, Swords
“As this was our first TY Camino tour I was a little apprehensive but there was no need. Camino Groups were efficient, patient and extremely professional. We had a fantastic experience, the trip was organised extremely well and there was very little for me to do!
I would definitely recommend Camino Groups as the company to use for a Camino Tour. Thank you!”
The Teresian School, Stillorgan (taken from 2016 and they have been back every year since – just booked for 2023!)
“We have dealt with Camino Groups for the past two years and on both occasions we have been extremely happy with their professionalism and helpfulness in organising our trip.
Their knowledge for the Camino is second to none and we always know that Eoin will be on the other end of the phone whenever we need assistant or to offer advice.
We would highly recommend booking a trip through Camino Groups.”

5-school conflict resolution tour aims to teach Philadelphia kids about dealing with violence
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- As Aniyah Robinson prepared to go into the auditorium of Martin Luther King High School in Germantown for a special conflict resolution program on Wednesday, she reflected on how the issue impacts students at her school.
"It's a lot of tension in this building," said the 10th grader.
Her principal has seen some of that tension first-hand.
"Kids are in conflicts in everyday situations. Part of it is that they don't know what to do," said Keisha Williams, principal of Martin Luther King High School.
That's one reason why the What I Wish I Knew Foundation is bringing its conflict resolution tour to MLK High School, which is also the alma mater of the nonprofit's founder, Emmanuel Clark, better known as "Manny 215."
"I literally went here, ran these hallways," he said in between speaking to the crowd of students.
The event is officially known as the "Don't Get Tricked Out Ya Spot Conflict Resolution Tour."
Clark says the expression refers to people allowing others to make them act outside their character, causing them to lose opportunities.
"We're here to basically give the students another perspective on how to deal with conflict," said Clark. "We understand a lot of the violence that's going on in the city, a lot of it stems from us just not knowing what we don't know."
Amir Laws is a 10th grader who recently lost his brother to gun violence. He has seen violent situations grow from simple disagreements that began years ago.
"We start off as kids. The kid ain't like the other kid," he said. "Then they get older, around 15 or 16, start wanting to shoot each other."
"It should never like get to that point," said Robinson. "We're just children at the end of every day."
The conflict resolution tour featured local activists, performers, and social media stars who all spoke to the kids and offered them tangible solutions to solving conflicts.
It's something Wilkins says many kids have not been exposed to before.
"(If I'm a kid in that situation) I have nobody to tell me how to not fight with you, physically fight with you," she said.
"We're just here to give them another perspective so next time they're in a situation, they can move a little differently," said Clark.
The nonprofit founder returns to his old high school regularly, hoping to impart to kids the things he learned as he made mistakes in life.
"Manny has always been the person who reached out to me and said, 'Hey principal, can I come up and talk to kids?'" said Wilkins. "For my students here, it is simply about making better choices."
Clark hopes that being educated on those better choices will give young people a new way to handle conflict without using violence.
"My hope is for the students to walk away from this assembly inspired to want to be change-makers in the community."

A pervy administrator of a Queens public high school was busted Wednesday for inappropriate contact with a 17-year-old student, cops and law enforcement sources said.
The staffer at John Adams High School – whose name is being withheld pending charges – allegedly rubbed the inner thigh of the female student on Monday, the sources said.
Then on Tuesday, he allegedly showed the same teen a video of himself having sex with someone else while creepily telling her, “This could be you,” according to the sources.
The student reported the adult’s vile actions, and he was taken into custody just after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Rockaway Boulevard school, cops and sources said.
Charges were pending later Wednesday – but he is expected to face a rap for endangering the welfare of a child, the sources said.
“This alleged behavior is reprehensible, and nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our students,” Department of Education spokeswoman Jenna Lyle said in a statement. “This employee has been reassigned pending an investigation.”

Travis Kelce Gushes About Being at Taylor Swift’s ‘Electric’ Paris Show Where She Sang a Tribute to Him
The football player didn’t speak about the tribute specifically on New Heights , but he alluded to it when he called Swift’s Paris show out for being “on a whole other level.”
His brother, co-host Jason Kelce, began the conversation by saying, “You’re now up to five concerts that you’ve seen. You’ve been to Kansas City , Argentina , Australia , Singapore , and now Paris. How does Paris compare to all of these other wonderful shows?”
Travis Kelce replied, “Dude? That was, I mean, I don’t know if they’re just getting better or if I just keep forgetting how they are. It was electric in there, and I’ll tell you what? Kansas City showed out. Argentina was unbelievable. Australia, they partied with the best of them, and they celebrate with the best of them. Those three were unbelievable. Singapore was so unique and so fun. And then Paris was just, it was on a whole other level, man.”
Kelce added, “And I’m just, I’m happy for everybody that’s in the Eras Tour that’s performing, from the dancers to the band and obviously Taylor, that it just looks like they’re having so much fun up there, and they’re absolutely killing it. And they’re putting on a show that, you know, you won’t get anywhere else.”

His brother asked what else he did in Paris. Kelce revealed that it was not much besides going to the Louis Vuitton store. “I really didn’t get to explore Paris too much. We’ll do that some other time. Yeah, I didn’t get out there in time.” He praised the city, anyway, for the energy it brought to Swift’s tour. “Shout out to Paris for showing up and showing up at all the concerts. It looked absolutely amazing for the first three shows. And that last show was every bit of electric and just energy all, all night, man. It was fun.”
Kelce revealed during the episode that he is still in Europe , although he didn’t reveal where. Swift’s next show is in Stockholm, Sweden, on Friday, May 17.

Schedule announced for 2024 DP World Tour Qualifying School
The 2 024 DP World Tour Qualifying School schedule has been announced and includes five new venues, an increase in First Stage opportunities and a return to INFINITUM for its dramatic conclusion, as professionals and amateurs from across the world look to secure their place on golf’s Global Tour.
Hopefuls will compete through three stages, as they look to add their name to a growing list of Major Champions, World Number Ones and Ryder Cup stars that have been produced at Qualifying School since its inception in 1976.
The Qualifying School will visit 15 venues from August to November and will once again conclude with Final Stage at Costa Dorada’s award-winning INFINITUM resort.
All five venues making their Qualifying School debuts will act as First Stage hosts, as the number of First Stage opportunities increases from nine to ten, giving additional players the chance to earn one of the DP World Tour cards on offer.
Golf Nazionale in Italy will make its Qualifying School bow fresh from hosting the Junior Ryder Cup last year, while Moonah Links is also a new venue and sees Qualifying School return to Australia for a third successive year. There are debuts on the schedule too for Golf de Léry Poses in France, Huddersfield Golf Club in England and Horsens Golfklub in Denmark.
Second Stage will take place across Spain, with the same four venues returning to the schedule; Desert Springs Resort in Almeria, Isla Canela Links in Huelva, Golf Las Pinaillas in Albacete and Fontanals Golf Club in Girona.
Mike Stewart, DP World Tour Qualifying School Director, said: “We’re excited to be able to share the full schedule for the 2024 DP World Tour Qualifying School, and we’re delighted to welcome our five new host venues.
“Increasing First Stage opportunities from nine to ten is an important change for 2024, as we hope to give more players the opportunity to clinch one of the coveted DP World Tour cards that are up for grabs.
“All 15 venues will provide a true test to those teeing it up and those that do come through the three-stage process will be ready to compete on the DP World Tour in 2025.
“INFINITUM has provided the perfect setting for Final Stage over the past five years, and we’re looking forward to returning there for a sixth time. It is a truly first-class venue and we’re grateful for their continued help and hospitality. It is a true highlight of our schedule.”
Joaquín Mora Bertrán, Deputy General Manager of Golf, Beach Club and F&B at INFINITUM, said: “We are delighted to welcome one of golf’s most exciting events back to INFINITUM.
“This is a very exciting time for INFINITUM, with major investment across the entire resort making the experience for visiting players, DP World Tour hopefuls and our members and residents even better.
“Earlier this year, we announced major improvements to the Lakes, and we are excited to see how the players react when they take on the renovated course – along with the equally enjoyable Hills - in November.
“Part of what makes INFINITUM the perfect stage for Qualifying School is the line-up of amenities on offer for golfers of all levels, from the new Callaway Fitting Studio to the nine-hole Ruins course where players can hone their skills.
“We look forward to working with the DP World Tour once again to make sure this unique event is as unforgettable as ever.”
The Final Stage of Qualifying School will take place at INFINITUM from November 8-13, 2024, where 156 players will compete over six rounds.
Each player will play two rounds at the Lakes Course and the Hills Course at INFINITUM, before the top 65 and ties play the final two rounds at the Lakes Course.
After six rounds, the leading 20 players and ties will earn DP World Tour playing privileges for 2025. This number has been reduced from the leading 25 players and ties that were awarded playing privileges last year as part of an overall review of DP World Tour playing categories.
Entries for the DP World Tour Qualifying School will open in June, with an official date yet to be confirmed.

Scottie Scheffler to have fill-in caddie Saturday while Ted Scott attends daughter’s graduation
Change Text Size
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Scottie Scheffler will have a fill-in caddie on the bag for Saturday’s third round of the PGA Championship.
Ted Scott, Scheffler’s full-time caddie, will miss Saturday’s round at Valhalla Golf Club to attend his daughter’s high school graduation. Scott will leave Friday night after caddying the first two rounds and return late Saturday to loop the final round.
“That's something we talked about from the beginning of our relationship was family always comes first,” Scheffler said during his pre-tournament press conference on Tuesday. “It's the same thing for me as it is for my caddie. It was a pretty easy decision. He told me at the beginning of this year that that was the date.”
Scheffler’s close friend Brad Payne will carry the bag on Saturday. Payne previously caddied for Paul Stankowski and remains a regular presence on the PGA TOUR as a chaplain. Payne played college golf at Pepperdine.
“I trust him to rake a bunker more than my buddies,” Scheffler said.
Scott has been on the bag for all of Scheffler’s 10 PGA TOUR victories and would be there again this week if Scheffler claims his 11th victory and third major championship on Sunday night, though Payne will also play a role.
Of course, Scheffler must make the cut first, or it’s all a moot point. He’s made 35 straight cuts, so forgive the prognosticating.
