World-renowned hymnwriters Keith and Kristyn Getty have announced they will kickstart their Sing! World Tour at Belfast’s SSE Arena before shows in Singapore and Sydney.

The GRAMMY-nominated hymnwriters, who hail from Northern Ireland originally, will perform some of their best-known hymns including  ‘In Christ Alone’  and  ‘Christ Our Hope in Life and Death’  in their home city on Saturday 17 June 2023.

The Belfast show will feature an array of guest artists and the Getty’s band of internationally renowned musicians, all accompanied by the New Irish Arts Orchestra and a mass choir.

The concert marks the couple’s first performance in Northern Ireland since their GRAMMY nomination for their album  Confessio – Irish American Roots  in the Best Roots Gospel Album Category.

The album was penned and recorded on the North Coast of Ireland during the Covid-19 pandemic and has been described by the couple as their “love letter to Northern Ireland”.

The tour will then take the hymn-writing duo to the Star Theatre in Singapore followed by the Sydney Opera House in Australia.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 16 December and can be purchased via Ticketmaster or directly from the SSE Arena website.

Speaking ahead of the Sing! World Tour, Keith Getty OBE, said:

“It is always a tremendous honour to play in front of any audience, but there is something incredibly special about performing in front of a home crowd, especially following our GRAMMY nomination for an album dedicated to our home.”

It is where Kristyn and I met and where we return to with our four children each year, and so we are thrilled to kick off the Sing! World Tour at the SSE arena in Belfast.”

NASHVILLE  – More than 25,000 Christians from 37 countries joined GRAMMY®-nominated artists and modern hymn writers  Keith & Kristyn Getty  to record  Sing! The Great Commission: World Tour LIVE  — a fresh collection of 21 hymns that are giving a common voice to the global church.

With audiences representing every inhabited continent of the world, and recorded at iconic venues in Belfast (Europe – SSE Arena), Singapore (Asia – The Star Theatre), Sydney (Australia – Sydney Opera House) and Nashville (North America – Bridgestone Arena, Ryman Auditorium), the album includes contributions from globally recognized worship leaders and well-known hymns from the Gettys’ catalog which is sung by more than 100 million people worldwide each year, according to Integrity Music.

“Last Summer we were privileged to visit four continents and to sing with believers from 37 nations together at home in Nashville,” said Keith Getty. “This album is a collection of some of our favorite moments singing together, and a celebration of global, Great Commission-fueled worship — expressed through ancient hymns and Psalms, Hiphop and spoken word, Folk and Bluegrass melodies, and beyond.”

“The album was such a privilege to create because it extends far beyond songs in just one city sung by one group of people,” said Kristyn Getty. “It is the worship of thousands of believers singing together in multiple languages, led by friends from Chris Tomlin to Shai and Blair Linne to CityAlight. We hope it will serve as just one small reflection of the diversity of the body of Christ and the beauty of the Savior we praise.”

The duo has also been invited to lead worship at the 4th Lausanne Conference this September and is at work on the  Sing! Hymnal  in partnership with Crossway publishing. They plan to resume the Sing! World Tour beginning Summer 2025.

Widely considered global ambassadors for the hymn genre,  Christianity Today  declared that the Gettys have “changed the way evangelicals worship.” Beginning with “In Christ Alone,” the Gettys have written or published dozens of the most sung songs in the world (according to CCLI).  Their ongoing global outreach includes work with the Getty Music Foundation, which exists to educate churches, families and individuals across the globe in a Biblical view of theology, artistry, and mission in congregational singing.

Born and raised in Northern Ireland, Keith & Kristyn Getty have emerged as two of the most prolific and popular writers of 21st century Christian hymns, including the modern classic "In Christ Alone," which has been recorded over 100 times. The award-winning couple, who married in 2004, split their time between Portstewart, Northern Ireland and Nashville, Tennessee with their children. They released their debut album, In Christ Alone, in 2006. It would make its way onto the Billboard Top Christian Albums and Top Heatseekers charts two years later.

They returned to the same charts with 2009's Awaken the Dawn. Hymn Makers: Speak O Lord followed in 2011, the same year their first Christmas album, Joy: An Irish Christmas, would hit the Top Ten of the Billboard Christian and holiday album charts. Released in 2013, Hymns for the Christian Life marked the duo's first appearance on the Billboard 200. Highlights from these earliest works were captured in concert on the couple's 2013 effort, Live at the Gospel Coalition.

They returned in 2014 with The Greengrass Session, described as "six hymns from the old world and the new." It earned them the number two spot on yet another chart, Top Bluegrass Albums. The holiday album Getty Christmas arrived the following year, and 2016 brought Getty Kids Hymnal-In Christ Alone and Facing a Task Unfinished, the latter of which was named after a 1931 hymn that they reworked for the album. Drivers license in hand, Olivia Rodrigo is headed off on tour, but you need to act fast to see her cruise down your street—tickets are selling out quickly. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter began her second tour in February. She’s in Europe through the end of June and then flying back to America in July. Then, after one show in Canada, she’ll close out her GUTS tour in August. Here’s everything we know about how to get tickets to Olivia Rodrigo’s tour before it’s all over.

Ticketmaster is offering tickets for Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS tour, but unfortunately some dates are already sold out. Here’s the full rundown on ticket availability, both at Ticketmaster and elsewhere.

• Ticketmaster is offering both regular tickets and VIP packages to select shows. There are more VIP tickets available than there are regular tickets, probably because they tend to cost more. For dates that are still available, tickets start around $80 for standard tickets and nearly $300 for VIP packages for international performances.
• For her U.S. shows, tickets are either sold out or will go on sale at a later date and time. Fans will need to check back for these specific shows: July 20 (Washington, D.C.) and August 13 , 14 , 16 and 17 (Inglewood, California).
• If you plan to see one of Rodrigo’s European concerts, you may need to use a currency converter calculator to figure out what the price will be in American dollars. Rates change daily so keep that in mind when purchasing tickets.
• SeatGeek has tickets to Olivia Rodrigo’s U.S. shows, starting around $200 apiece. The platform does have tickets available to the shows Ticketmaster said to check back about, with prices starting at $500 for the Washington, D.C. show and $326 for the Inglewood, California concerts.
• Tickets for Rodrigo’s European shows start at $113 on StubHub , while her American performances begin around $200.
• Vivid Seats prices start around $100 for her international shows, and $200 for her U.S. performances. All prices on the platform are already calculated in American dollars for her European concerts.

When Do Olivia Rodrigo Tickets Go On Sale?

Tickets are on sale now at various sites including SeatGeek, StubHub and Vivid Seats. A few dates are still available for purchase on Ticketmaster, but you are likely to see a message asking you to check back because “on sale date and time are in the works.” However, it’s unknown when those tickets will go on sale.

If you don’t want to wait, check out another reseller to purchase tickets immediately. Tickets are selling fast, so don’t delay if you want to see Olivia Rodrigo this year.

How Much Are Olivia Rodrigo Tickets?

As far as concert prices go, Olivia Rodrigo tickets won’t break the bank like Adele or Taylor Swift ’s shows will. Tickets start around $200 for U.S. tour dates, while her European shows are much cheaper, starting around $100.

Besides location, the cost of the ticket also depends on the proximity to the stage and if you are sitting or standing. Prices also go up if you purchase a VIP package on Ticketmaster that’s only offered for her European shows. Don’t forget that online ticketing platforms may add on fees at checkout.

Cyndi Lauper announces farewell tour

Cyndi Lauper  is retiring from the road. The “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” singer-songwriter announced a farewell tour Monday morning, setting one last national jaunt that will take her to arenas in 23 cities in North America this fall before she calls it a day as a touring artist.

Lauper did not release any statement explaining her reasons for deciding to do a farewell tour now, although she is expected to talk about it later this week as she promotes a new documentary about her career, “Let the Canary Sing,” that premieres on Paramount+ Tuesday.

The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, which is being described as her first major road trip in a decade, will begin Oct. 18 in Montreal and end Dec. 5 at Chicago’s United Center.

Arena dates she’ll be playing along the way include shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Oct. 30, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Nov. 1, L.A.’s Intuit Dome Nov. 23, the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert Nov. 24, and San Francisco’s Chase Center Nov. 26. She will also be doing a non-arena show at Detroit’s Fox Theatre Oct. 24. (Scroll down for a complete list of tour dates.)

Tickets go on sale with an artist presale Tuesday, followed by other presales before the general on-sale begins Friday at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com.

Opening acts will be announced at a later date.

“Let the Canary Sing,” directed by Alison Ellwood, which had its premiere at Tribeca last year, will begin showing on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada on Tuesday. That same day, Lauper will participate in a handprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood before attending a private local premiere of the film at the theater complex, to be followed by a Q&A. On Wednesday, she’ll be discussing the documentary and the farewell tour on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Time for Costa Navarino Legends Tour Trophy

E manuele Canonica and Alessandro Tadini are participating in the Costa Navarino Legends Tour Trophy, the third tournament of the Legends Tour season, taking place from June 7th to 9th at Costa Navarino, Greece. The competition spans 54 holes, with the first 18 played at the Bay Course and the remainder at the International Olympic Academy.

Among the competitors are six of the top ten players in the money list, including Australian Scott Hend, the current leader, and Englishman Peter Baker, who dominated the previous season with four victories and topping the money list.

Baker started this season in similar fashion by winning the opening event, the Barbados Legends, where he defeated Hend in a playoff. These top players are expected to contend for the title, with others in pursuit including Swedes Mikael Lundberg (ranked 6th) and Joakim Haeggman (ranked 7th), Englishman Andrew Marshall (ranked 9th), and Frenchman Christian Cevaer (ranked 10th).

Also worth watching are Brazilian Adilson Da Silva, South African James Kingston, Welshman Phillip Price, Scotsman Greig Hutcheon, German Thomas Gogele, and Englishman Greg Owen. Canonica secured 17th place at the Barbados event but failed to make the cut in the subsequent Major (KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship), while Tadini is making his debut on the Legends Tour.

Every Time Taylor Swift Has Asked Security to Help Fans During ‘Eras Tour’

Taylor Swift ’s Eras Tour has taken the world by storm, and while the three-hour show is all about celebrating her discography, the singer’s No. 1 concern is the safety of her fans.

Swift has even paused her show multiple times during her world tour to alert security of struggling fans in the crowd in hopes of getting them assistance quickly. The Eras Tour has featured cutting-edge technology with its lighting designs and laser effects, and Swift has previously discussed how her performance isn’t the only thing that requires a lot of planning.

Before embarking on her Reputation tour in 2018, Swift said she was deeply impacted after 22 people were killed as a result of a bombing during Ariana Grande ’s concert in Manchester.

“I was completely terrified to go on tour this time because I didn’t know how we were going to keep 3 million fans safe over seven months,” Swift told Elle in 2019. “There was a tremendous amount of planning, expense, and effort put into keeping my fans safe. My fear of violence has continued into my personal life.”

The Eras Tour has been an even bigger endeavor for Swift. In December 2023, it was reported that an estimated 4.35 million tickets had been sold across her 60 concerts in North America, Argentina and Brazil before she embarked on the international leg of her tour.

Keeping fans safe is no small feat, and in addition to copious amounts of preliminary safety measures and a top-notch security team, Swift takes personal responsibility for her fans’ experience — even when she’s on stage.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Swift interrupted her performance of “Bad Blood” during a May 2023 Eras show to call off a security guard who got into an altercation with a fan.

“She’s fine,” Swift could be heard yelling into the crowd, apparently frustrated by what she saw from her security team. The singer paused again to add, “She wasn’t doing anything,” before yelling, “Hey, stop” two more times.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Swift and her fans braved extreme heat during the string of shows in Brazil in November 2023. One concertgoer, Ana Clara Benevides , died of heat exhaustion before a Rio show.

Swift did her best to help fans, and during her performance, she repeatedly asked her off-stage team to provide water to the crowd.

“There’s people that need water right here, maybe 30, 35, 40 feet back,” she said on stage during the Evermore set, pointing to a floor section of the crowd. “So whoever is in charge of giving them that, just make sure that happens. Can I get a signal that you know where they are?”

While Swift was sitting at her piano performing “Champagne Problems” during a May concert, she quickly interrupted her song to alert her security team of a situation .

“Ajuda por favor. Help them please,” she said while pointing in the distressed concertgoer’s direction. No details about what happened to the fan have been shared.

Swift paused her acoustic set to check on fans during a show in May.

“Ayuda por favor,” Swift said during a May show, which translates to “please help” in English. Swift also stopped strumming her red acoustic guitar to point at the concertgoer. It is not known what happened.
