A once happy marriage is set to be turned upside down with Fool Me Once - a new mystery drama series that sees a wife suspect hidden secrets from her supposedly late husband. Based on the acclaimed novel by Harlan Coben , Fool Me Once sees Maya Stern's ( Michelle Keegan ) once-normal life go entirely awry when her husband, Joe ( Richard Armitage ) , is mysteriously murdered. That profound sense of grief turns into utter confusion when Maya discovers an alive and well Joe on her daughter's nanny's cam. This causes Maya to embark on some detective work of her own to find out the truth about her husband's alleged death and who he really was.

It's a shocking mystery tale where every person in Maya's life is a potential suspect, and there's bound to be plenty of twists and turns along the way. The first trailer for Fool Me Once was r eleased by Netflix on December 7th, 2023 , introducing audiences everywhere to Harlan Coben's latest mystery tale. The trailer begins with a brief glimpse into Maya and Joe's happier times when they were a newly married couple, only for that to come crumbling down when Joe is reported to have been fatally shot. This results in an understandable period of depression for Maya, now a single mother to her young child. Maya is then shocked to discover that a man who looks remarkably like Joe has appeared on her daughter's nanny cam after he was thought to be dead. Maya tries to convince her friends and family of what she saw, but nobody believes her, not even her judgmental mother-in-law, Judith ( Joanna Lumley ). Realizing that she's more than likely on her own in solving this mystery, Maya decides to become an impromptu detective and discover Joe's true fate.

All eight episodes of Fool Me Once will be available to binge-watch on Netflix starting Monday, January 1st, 2024 . Netflix has not yet revealed the episode summaries for each episode at this time.

Bodies (2023): A dead body is a staple for any murder mystery series, but what if that same dead body appeared in four different time periods? That's what the hit mini-series Bodies aims to answer, as the mysterious figure of Mannix ( Stephen Graham ) guides four different detectives from four different points in time in solving this connected mystery. This includes Alfred Hillinghead ( Kyle Soller ) from the 1890s, Karl Whiteman ( Jacob Fortune-Lloyd ) from the 1940s, Shahara Hasan ( Amaka Okafor ) from the 2020s, and Iris Maplewood ( Shira Haas ) from the 2050s. Bodies is currently available to stream on Netflix.

Lupin (2021-): Heavily inspired by the gentleman thief literary character Arsène Lupin, Lupin is a gripping new spin on master thievery with a modern, mystery twist. Following the exploits of Assane Diop ( Omar Sy ), this new lead character follows in Lupin's footsteps as a master thief with a heart of gold. Harlan is taking part in the upcoming reading room festival.

The author of the hit novels Fool Me Once, The Stranger and Shelter, Harlan Coben, has been full of praise of Queen Camilla , and spoke warmly of the royal ahead of participating in the Queen’s Reading Room festival. 

Harlan, 62, admitted that he doesn’t often get nervous, but certainly did when meeting the royal - but it was unnecessary. Speaking to PA news agency about the “tremendous honour” of appearing at the festival, he shared the Queen’s amazing skill at putting everyone at ease in her presence. 

“The feeling that I got almost instantly from her, and I think everyone in the room did, it was a really interesting dynamic that she created for all of us to put us all at ease.”

He explained to PA: “I don’t get nervous very often. But I have to confess that coming into Clarence House was fun, intimidating, and she has a instant warmth to her, the Queen, even in the few seconds that you first meet her that she’s so gracious and of course you’re nervous … she immediately makes you feel at ease. She was extraordinarily polite. And I’ve been told by others who knew her personally that she is extraordinarily warm and down to earth.

“But also what made it better for me is, especially after going to the Clarence House event, what the Queen’s Reading Room is doing, which is so unusual and different. I’ve done a lot for a lot of literary groups and we’re always trying to encourage people to read, young people to read, old people to read, and the Queen is doing that.

“But I think by tying it into actual science is what I find so interesting. When we were at Clarence House there was a lot of scientists there, who by looking at brainwaves and things like that, have discovered that reading … is good for you, that reading a novel or a book, not scrolling on your phone, increases empathy, and reduces stress and is good for your mental health. We know that, but to actually see the science behind it … I think that’s really powerful stuff and I commend the Queen and the Queen’s Reading Room for taking that approach to it”.

Harlan appeared at the literary festival alongside Slow Horses author Mick Herron, and The Pillars of the Earth author Ken Follett as well as Sir Ian Rankin, Ann Cleeves and Kate Mosse. 

The royal launched The Reading Room back in 2021 and was relaunched as a charity in 2023. Speaking about the good that the charity has done - including new research commissioned by her literary project, she said: “In addition to our five a day and our 10,000 steps, we should all be aiming for at least five minutes of reading every day for invaluable benefits for brain health and mental wellbeing.

“Just as we always suspected, books are good for us – and now science is proving us right!”

The festival is set to take place at Hampton Court Palace on 8 June - and tickets are available now.

That said, that confusion should be a red flag that things aren’t going the way you would like them to." Basically, if you’ve ever been stuck in that limbo between a hookup and a romantic, serious relationship , you’re familiar with the almost-relationship.

But if you want something more serious and don’t know if that's going to happen anytime soon — for instance, if you've been dating for three months but not official, or when a man only wants to see you once a week — it may be time to see if the arrangement has the possibility of becoming more, or if it's time to move on and seek out a partner who wants the same things as you. Because as Cherlyn Chong , dating and breakup coach and host of the “Why Women Love Toxic Men” workshop , tells Elite Daily, “An almost-relationship can easily just become a situationship where one or both people are just using the other for the convenience of it.”

Below, 10 signs you’re stuck in an almost-relationship.

1. You Only Hang Out Once A Week

If you and your almost-partner have been dating once a week for two months or more, then beware. Regardless of how busy they are, if things were going to progress between you, you'd be hanging out more than once a week. If you "find that he doesn't save weekends for you but only schedules a once-a-week date on a Tuesday night, he's likely not that committed to the relationship," Lori Salkin , matchmaker and dating coach, tells Elite Daily.

Hanging out multiple days in a row can feel like a big step, but taking big steps is how you move forward in a relationship. Ask them to hang twice in one week and see what their response is. If they show any skepticism, move along.

2. They Don't Text You Between Hang Outs

Maybe you're both traveling all the time for work, or living in separate cities. Even then, there’s no real excuse for not keeping in touch. Texting is quick, easy, and available internationally, so you should be getting a steady stream of texts in between rendezvous if this person's into you.

"I had a couple where the girl came back from a week-long trip and left the following weekend open for the guy she had been dating for the last month, and he waited until the Monday after that to reach [out] to her to see how her trip went," says Salkin. Needless to say, they broke up weeks later.

Not everyone loves text banter , but if whatever you've got going on is moving toward a relationship, you should both miss each other when you're apart. If your almost-partner isn't sending you sweet nothings, or even checking in to see if you're alive, there’s a chance they might not be that into you .

3. They Keep Telling You They’re "Busy"

"I'm busy" is one of the worst excuses in the book. Everyone is busy and trying to juggle their schedules. Your almost-partner is not special. "When the guy you're dating has time for his friends on the weekend and his colleagues at happy hour during the week, but when you ask how his week's going he says he's slammed and so busy, it's a definite red flag the relationship is going nowhere," explains Salkin.

Don't go full Insta stalker mode , but pay attention. If the person you've been dating is constantly saying, "I'm sorry, I can't hang, it's been a super busy week," and then 'gramming pictures with their friends from college at happy hour, think twice about their intentions.

4. They Dodge Invites To Meet Your Friends & Don’t Invite You To Meet Theirs

If you're going on two months of dating and you haven't met your semi-significant other's friends , take note. This doesn't mean they’re embarrassed by you, or that they’re dating someone else, but it should make you wonder whether or not they’re even mentioning you to their inner circle. The same applies if they dodge invitations to meet your friends.

"If you invite the guy you're dating to attend a casual work event or a friend's birthday party and he always dodges the invitation, it's also likely a sign," says Salkin. "If [he doesn't attend] something that's important enough for you to invite him to, he doesn't feel strongly enough about you to do things for you that matter to you."

Have you made excuses for them one too many times when they’ve ditched on a happy hour with your friends? Onto the next one.

5. They're Still On Dating Apps

Nothing says “I'm not taking you seriously” like staying active on dating apps once the two of you start dating. While technically you haven't defined the relationship, it still sends a pretty clear message about their feelings toward you. "If you see him still active on a dating app where the two of you met, he's likely still using it, not just looking at your profile again," says Salkin.

If this is an issue for you, it’s time to talk to your semi-bae and ask if they're still dating other people . It doesn't make you seem less “chill” — you’re just being clear about your needs and expectations.

6. You Haven't Had "The Talk"

According to Salkin, you should have the "what are we?" talk about six or so weeks into dating. "In a relationship that shows promise, the guy should be starting to hint toward being exclusive or calling you his girlfriend by that time," says Salkin.

If there's been no mention of exclusivity, consider bringing it up. "If the other person deflects, avoids, or gives non-committal responses, this person is just enjoying your company and benefits for now, and does not want anything serious,” explains Chong. That realization might sting, but you'll get the pain over with now rather than later when you’ve invested even more time into the situationship.

7. They Don’t Keep Their Promises

One of the clearest signs someone is taking you seriously is when their words match their actions. In other words, if your almost-partner is talking a big game and not following through, that's a red flag that this almost-relationship may be almost over.

“Lots of people tend to get carried away by their emotions and make promises they cannot keep because they don't want to put in the energy or time to follow up,” says Chong. “A serious person will make the time. An uncommitted person will not. If a relationship with the latter is continued, the relationship will be much like the person: impulsive with lots of empty promises and flakiness.”

Not being able to count on the person you're dating is a very legitimate reason to show them to the door.

8. You Aren’t Going On Dates

If “dating” your almost-partner doesn't involve any actual dates , that could a red flag they aren't willing to put in any real effort into the relationship. “When someone cares, they want to take you places, spend quality time making new memories, surprise you from time to time, plan vacations,” says Leckie.

While every relationship isn't going to be full of grand romantic gestures , you can and should expect some effort from your partner when it comes to spending quality time together. If you're stuck in Netflix-and-chill mode and you want more from them, it's time for a longer, more serious conversation.

9. Your Connection Stays Surface-Level

Part of building intimacy with someone is getting to know them on a deeper level — sharing stories about your life, your hopes for the future, and important moments. If you’re not talking about anything that feels significant, that might be a red flag that they don’t really care to get to know you better. “When people really care for you, they want to get to know you on a deeper level, which also fosters connection,” says Leckie. However, if your almost-partner shuts down the convo every time you try to steer it in a deeper direction , that could be their way of telling you they’re fine with things the way they are.

10. You Don't Feel Like A Priority In Their Life

One of the best parts of dating someone new is the honeymoon phase , when all you can think about is being together. If you seem to have skipped over that entirely and feel like you're more of an option than a priority, consider that a red flag that your almost-relationship has stalled out.

“A client of mine was upset to find that while the man she was dating would be the perfect boyfriend when she was seeing him face-to-face, he would send uninterested texts and engage in superficial conversations when they were not physically together. This is a person who prioritizes other things in their life, and you’re just not in their top three,” explains Chong. “This person will eventually fade away, especially when the novelty of being with someone new has worn off.”

What Should You Do If You Want More?

If you're in an almost-relationship but aren't ready to throw in the towel just yet, Chong says it's time to talk to the person you're dating. “Verbalize it immediately,” she advises. “Sit down and ask the other person where they see this going. Tell them about your feelings, needs, and expectations. If it’s a fit, great! Make it official .”

If it’s not, that may be disappointing and hard to hear, but at least now you’re free to find someone who feels and wants the same things as you in the long run. “It's a lot more efficient to date only people who already want commitment, as opposed to convincing people that they should want a commitment with you,” says Chong.

Your almost-relationship might bring you some fulfillment, but you deserve to be in exactly the kind of relationship you want and nothing less. “When things don’t feel good in your gut, you need to pay attention to that and not just hope things will change,” says Leckie. “People often make excuses for the other person or rationalize because they want to avoid the truth of what’s going on. [But] when you’re truly happy and being treated like someone is super grateful to have you around, it hits differently. You’ll never get what you truly want if you settle.”

Check out the pictures obtained by TMZ ... Bianca looked absolutely stunning while flashing a lot of skin in her little one-piece that left nothing to the imagination. Her breasts, rear end and most of her body were completely exposed.

She also flaunted her customary slicked-back black hair while sporting tan heels and gripping some design sketches in one hand.

We don't know exactly what the sketches were for ... but Kanye has operated his Yeezy clothing line in Prato, which is also known as a fashion hub.

Of course, this wasn't the first time Bianca walked around basically in the buff -- and it certainly won't be the last.

For a while now, Bianca has regularly gone out in public dressed in her scantily clad outfits , turning heads everywhere around the world. And Kanye doesn't have a problem with it at all. In fact, he seems to be in full support since he's usually right there beside Bianca during her nearly naked outings.

In the close to five decades he’s been playing at the famed Stone Pony, Bruce Springsteen never asked the bar for a dime — but he sure cost them a pretty penny one night.

The Boss jumped behind the bar of the iconic Asbury Park, NJ music venue — and made sure patrons drank till they got their fill.

“I walked in the front door and saw people around the front bar and there he is behind the bar, handing drinks out to whoever wanted ’em, drunk as a skunk and having the ball of his life,” Jack Roig, the Stone Pony’s owner from 1974 until 1992, told The Post.

And since the Boss didn’t know how to make cocktails, choices were limited and cash sales plummeted.

“Beer and shots, he knew how to do that,” said Roig, 82, laughing at the memory.

The rock-n-roll god has long been a patron and performer at the iconic Jersey Shore watering hole, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

It is even the subject of a new book, out June 4, by New York Times correspondent and Garden State native Nick Corasaniti, “I Don’t Want to Go Home: The Oral History of the Stone Pony .”

In the book, Springsteen, 74, confesses, “I wasn’t much of a bartender, but I’d serve up the beers and just have fun with the fans, and just enjoy myself. [My signature] was beer. With a Jack Daniel’s on the side, maybe.”

Roig said Springsteen would usually come by unannounced, but would call ahead if he was bringing the E Street band along.

“He said, ‘Can we come down and play?’ — Can you believe that? ‘Can we?'” Roig recalled.

Springsteen would never ask for money.

“Never, it was never even suggested. And the building’s maximum legal capacity was 556. Now, tell me how I’m gonna pay a guy that can fill up MetLife Stadium,” said Roig, laughing. “One summer, he played here 11 out of 13 Sundays.”

He even tried to pay the bar’s then-$3 cover charge.

“When he was on the cover of Time and Newsweek in the same week [in 1975], he’s down at the end of the line, looking through his pockets to see if he’s got enough money to come in,” Roig said.

Spring Lake, NJ native Pete Llewellyn worked at the Pony as a bartender from 1979 to 1992, and served Springsteen — who never had to pay for a drink there — his signature kamikazes and Budweiser.

“He’d get four or five kamikazes in him and he’d go up to the band and play for an hour,” Llewellyn, 63, says in the book.

Springsteen, a native of Freehold, NJ, whose 1973 debut album was titled “ Greetings from Asbury Park ,” rented a garage apartment in Deal, less than 2 miles from Asbury.

“I think that’s where he wrote a good portion of the ‘ Born in the USA ‘ album. And he would get tired of writing and he would come in and just want to blow some steam off,” Llewellyn told The Post.

Llewellyn could never understand how the word spread so quickly when The Boss showed up.

“It’d be funny because it’d be 200 people in there, which is pretty empty in that place, and Bruce would get on the stage, and before he got off, there’d be 800,” he said.

“Every bar in the area would hear, ‘Bruce is playing at the Pony,’ and they would all go.”

Llewellyn said Springsteen was “a real laid back guy,” and patrons wouldn’t bother him whenever he was there.

“He’d pull up in an old, beat-up pickup truck. He would come in, he’d put a red baseball hat on,” he said. “And he would mind his business and people knew not to mob him and make a spectacle of him. He didn’t like that.”

Women, however, did try to flirt with him.

“What girl didn’t want to go home with Bruce Springsteen in 1985? Well, I knew one [who did], and she worked there, so I don’t want to mention her name,” Llewellyn said.

Llewellyn was serving Springsteen when the rocker first laid eyes on his current wife, a Jersey girl named Patti Scialfa, who sang and played guitar.

“He was sitting at the front bar and he stopped what he was doing. He just sat there and was glued to her. He liked what he saw. And I’m not talking physically. He liked the way she sang, he liked her presence,” he recalled.

“After the show he went in the back and they were talking … And then, of course, the rest is history.”

Llewellyn’s most treasured Bruce memory is when he came in one Sunday before “Born in the USA” was finished and sang songs off the upcoming record just for employees from 4am until 10 in the morning.

“He wasn’t quite sure what songs he was going to put on the album just yet … and we even got to hear songs that didn’t even make the album. After he sang a song, we all gave our opinion on it, and our opinion meant something to him,” he remembered.

“Born in the USA,” which was released in 1984, catapulted Springsteen — and the Stone Pony — to international stardom.

“When I used to proof people at the front door, you would see a tremendous amount of European passports,” said Llewellyn, who also worked as a bouncer there. 

The Boss would also receive letters from fans around the world, mailed to him at the bar.

“It would be addressed to ‘Bruce Springsteen, USA,’ and it would be delivered to us. I bet, over the years, we got thousands of pieces of mail,” Roig said.
