This tour offers a four-wheel drive to the beach where you can paddleboard or snorkel to see sea life, walk on the dune trails to the marsh passing through shady trees and wild cranberry bogs, and swim in the clear waters of Cape Cod Bay to cool off. You can also relax, sit, and watch the waves.

Contact Adventure Tours on their website for prices. The cost includes transportation in a Toyota Sequoia 4WD, two paddleboards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, and life jackets.

Arts Dune Tours provides a guided off-road tour of the protected dunes of the Cape Cod National Seashore Park in Provincetown. The daily tours start in March and run to mid-November with daily departures at 4 Standish St, Provincetown.

The Daily Tour includes a ride in their 6-person truck to view the dunes and falling waves as you capture each moment.

Beware that beach access may be restricted at certain season times

due to nesting shorebirds or erosion.

This one-hour daily tour is a perfect fit for all ages with moderate physical fitness.

You will be able to roll through the Peaked Hill Bars Historic District dunes, catch sight of Pilgrim Lake nestled among the dunes, and learn the unique history and ecology of the beautiful dunes.

The Daily Tour costs start at $35.02 per person for an hour. However, it costs a minimum of $140.08 for 1-4 people per truck. The tour takes a maximum of 6 people.

The cost includes a tour guide, comfortable transport in an SUV for up to 6 guests, a photo stop to capture the rising and falling wave-like dunes, and the Cape Cod National Park maintenance fee.

Beware that food, beverages, or other snacks are not included in the one-hour dune tour. However, the dune and water tours include food, but alcohol is not advised during the tour for safety reasons.

EXHILARATING DRIVE ON FUN AND BEAUTIFUL TRAILS

"What a great time! My husband took me on this UTV excursion for my 40th birthday, and having never driven one of these I didn't know what to expect. Well it exceeded my expectations! The machine felt very stable and had incredible power going over rocks, hills, sand, you name it. It was easy to control and so much fun to drive. The knowledgeable and awesome guide, Len, took us on an hour and a half drive on trails through the woods and quarry, stopping for some breathtaking views along the way. Initially I told my husband we'd swap driving half way through, but I wouldn't give up the steering wheel. We'll definitely be going back."

IT WAS A BLAST!

This was an incredible experience! It was raining, it was muddy, it was a BLAST! We arrived and were greeted by our tour guide and received all the necessary instructions for our adventure. There were 6 in our party and we had 2 vehicles. Girls in one and guys in the other. We alternated drivers so all had the opportunity to experience the thrill. There was mud, rocks, quarry, forest: all types of terrain were navigated. Yes, we were muddy and wet but it was soooo worth it. Coming back for fall foliage and perhaps a winter adventure as well.

Thinking about planning a team-building event? Look no further! We closed down our office on Friday and headed up to Alpine Adventures to do the Tree-Top Canopy Zip-Lining. There were seven of us – all having different expectations of zip-lining. Some never did it and were excited, some had done it before, and some never did it and had a major fear of heights. Our three guides – Emily, Blye, & Ian were amazing! They were so nice, gave us a few laughs, and put us all at ease. We highly recommend going to Alpine Adventures!! – Britni F

Spring is here, and you’re probably thinking about getting the ATV or side by side out of storage and hitting the trails! Before you load your four wheelers onto your ALCOM aluminum trailer, take a look at some of our favorite off roading destinations in New England! 

Comprising the six most northeasterly states in the USA, New England has something for everyone. With diverse geography, from the rocky coastline of the Atlantic Ocean to the Presidential Range mountains and sections of the Appalachian Trail, it’s an outdoors-lover’s paradise. And it’s absolutely loaded with ATV trails. So if you’re ready to do some four wheeling, New England is ready for you! 

Down East Maine - Acadia and The Sunrise Trail 

Take a trip up Route 1 to visit Acadia National Park and Down East Maine. This gorgeous coastal region is packed with lobster shacks, campgrounds, rocky hikes, and seasonal shops in Bar Harbor. With your side by side in the aluminum trailer, you can head straight from Acadia National Park to the Down East Sunrise Trail ! This old rail trail has been converted for off-road use, stretching 87 miles to connect Ellsworth and Ayers Junction, just south of the Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge. 

The Sunrise Trail is open for motorized and non-motorized use, so watch for pedestrians, cyclists or other UTVs, and follow any posted signs along the way. Enjoy views of the mountains, marshes, and forests. You might see a moose or an eagle along the way! Head to the Sunrise Trail’s website for all the information you need to plan your trip.  

Maine Highlands - Moosehead Lake and The Forks 

The Maine Highlands region is an outdoor lover’s paradise. At the heart of this inland region sits Moosehead Lake, the largest lake in Maine. If your summer plans include a hike, plan ahead to tackle Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State Park. 

If you want to skip the hikes and boat rides and get right to the four-wheeling, you have plenty of options. Trails in this area connect towns like The Forks, Greenville, and Rockwood and let you choose your own adventure by taking a short trip, or a full-day excursion.

With many UTV-friendly lodging options in the area, and endless natural beauty to explore, the Maine Highlands is waiting for your outdoor adventure. Hitch up the aluminum hauler with your side by side, camping gear, fishing poles and whatever else you need to immerse yourself in the Maine wilderness.   

Ride the Wilds in NH’s Great North Woods 

New Hampshire’s Great North Woods are home to over 1,000 miles of ATV trails known as the Ride the Wilds trail system. With a flourishing UTV and ATV culture in the northern tip of the state, this area is the perfect getaway for all things outdoors. 

Thanks to local laws designed to integrate side by side and ATV drivers, you can get almost anywhere in the area on your four wheeler - whether you’re exploring an old fire road, a steep and challenging trail with rock features, or heading into town at the end of the day for dinner. Locals recommend a trail GPS for your side by side - cell service in the area is not reliable, and it’s easy to get lost on the vast network of trails .

Jericho Mountain State Park has become a must-ride for ATV enthusiasts, and its 85 miles of trails connect to the Ride the Wilds trail system. Don’t miss the Journey to Jericho ATV Jamboree for high-flying, muddy summer fun. 

New Hampshire’s Mount Washington 

If you’ve ever dreamed of driving your side by side up Mt. Washington, the tallest peak in New England, a mountain so massive it creates its own weather … you are in luck! 

The Mt. Washington Auto Road permits limited access by ATVs and UTVs . Reservations are required, space is limited for safety, and there are no off-road trails on the mountain. Mt. Washington is about an hour from Jericho Mountain State Park. Find lodging, small towns with great food and breweries, and more outdoor activities like hiking nearby. 

Take a Guided ATV Tour of Killington

Vermont state laws require that each ATV rider must have written permission from every landowner whose property they cross while trail riding. Joining an ATV club and purchasing a Trail Access Decal (TAD) allows in-state riders to easily access side by side trails. 

But if you’re traveling from out of state, and don’t plan to join a local ATV club, consider leaving your own four wheelers at home, loading the trailer up with your mountain bikes and camping gear, and trying a guided ATV tour of Killington Resort while you’re in the area! You can only experience this mountain as part of a guided tour, so if you want to drive a side-by-side up a ski trail, check out one of the guided ATV tour companies near the mountain.

ATV 4X4 Tours

Take some time to enjoy a fun adventure with us on one of our family friendly 4X4 ATV tours (four wheelers and side by sides). During your tour you will experience a hands on training course with a professionally trained instructor that will help teach and lead you on an adventure adjusted to your skill level. Our tours are great for beginners and experienced riders alike! Children are welcome to join as passengers (as young as 5 years old). During your time with us you can expect to explore the winding trails up to Southern Vermont’s Tallest Peak (3,940ft!). Our tours are incredibly family friendly and include periodic stops at vistas and views for photos amongst our pristine landscapes.

Our online booking option will allow you to rent up to 5 double seater vehicles at a time. If you would like to rent a larger number please call our reservationist at 802 329 1483.

Reservations are required (24 hrs in advance recommended) If you’re booking online and your desired time slot isn’t shown on the date you chose that means it is fully booked. Cancellations or reservation changes must be received 48 hours before your reserved tour time.  

We provide 2 different types of ATV tours:

1 Hour Guided 4x4 ATV Tour

Driver/$119 - Passenger/$45

2 Hour 4x4 ATV Tour and Fire Tower Hike

Driver/$190 - Passenger/$80

1 Hour Guided ATV Tour

Drivers: $119 +tax

DOT Approved helmets provided - 400 lb combined rider weight max. Drivers must have a Valid Driver’s License - A learner’s permit does not qualify. Each vehicle can seat up to two people. All drivers must complete a waiver prior to their tour. Waivers are valid only when signed by an adult (18 years) or a guardian (immediate family). Please note that the waiver will ask if you’d like damage insurance coverage for an additional $15. The insurance comes with a $250 deductible.

Passengers: $45 +tax

DOT Approved Helmets provided- 400 lb combined rider weight max. There may only be 1 passenger per ATV. A passenger may ride with the tour guide. Passengers must be at least 5 years old . Passengers may switch with driver as long as they have a Valid Driver’s License.

2 Hour 4x4 ATV and Fire Tower Hike

If you’re looking to explore the Green Mountain National Forest just a little bit more this tour might just be for you. This tour involves the same amount of ATV off-roading as our 1.5 hour tour but rather than heading back down the mountain so quickly we’ll venture deeper into the forest on foot. On this unique tour you will be able to experience a gentle .75 mile hike down and through a wispy winding trail that leads you to the Stratton Mountain Firetower. The awe inducing 360 view from the top is simply spectacular. On a clear day you can see four states! Vermont of course, New Hampshire to the East, the Adirondack Mountains of New York to the West, and Massachusetts to the South.

Drivers: $190 +tax

DOT Approved helmets provided - 400 lb combined max weight Drivers must be at least 16 years old and have a valid US or International drivers license. Each vehicle can seat up to two people. All drivers must complete a waiver prior to their tour. Waivers are valid only when signed by an adult (18 years) or a guardian. Please note that the waiver will ask if you’d like damage insurance coverage for an additional $15. The insurance comes with a $250 deductible.

Passengers: $80 +tax

DOT Approved Helmets provided- 400 lb combined max weight There may only be 1 passenger per ATV. A passenger may ride with the tour guide. Passengers must be at least 5 years old. Passengers may also alternate driving if they have a valid driver’s license (a learner’s permit does not qualify.)

Ride through picturesque trails, conquer challenging terrains, and experience the thrill of bikepacking in self-supported conditions. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a newbie looking for a new challenge, this event promises excitement and a sense of accomplishment.

The 372 miles route is mostly divided half and half between New Hampshire and Vermont with an 18 miles incursion into Maine and is about 80% unpaved. You will find all types of surfaces from roads, single tracks, gravel roads, logging roads and ATV trails, about everything the region has to offer.
