Hot off the heels of a massive stadium tour with his band Poison, for the first time ever,  Bret Michaels  is   hitting the road for a limited run of live dates for his  2023 Parti Gras Tour.  Michaels has created this tour with a Mardi Gras feel in celebration of his great fans and hit music.   The renowned rockstar will bring a few of his rocker friends along for a mashup of all killer, no filler hits featuring special guests  Night Ranger  and  Jefferson Starship  with special appearances from  Steve Augeri  (former lead singer of Journey) and  Mark McGrath  (Sugar Ray), plus a nightly surprise guest to rock your world. 

Presented by Live Nation, the 12-city limited date run kicks off on Thursday, July 13th at the one and only Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI; known for its epic concerts and parties, going on to make stops across the U.S. including at The Pavilion at Star Lake, in his birthplace of Pittsburgh (PA), Holmdel (NJ), Tinley Park (IL), Tampa (FL), and more before wrapping up in Charlotte (NC) at PNC Music Pavilion on August 6th. The tour promises to be a modern day throwback to epic tailgate parties, positive energy, and a much needed nothing but a good vibe.

Bret Michaels Announces 2024 Parti Gras Tour Dates

The Poison frontman is hitting the road for a few shows with Dee Snider, Don Felder, and Lou Gramm

Bret Michaels is bring his Parti-Gras Tour back around this summer for another round. The Poison singer confirmed Monday a handful of dates with very special guests Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Don Felder (ex-Eagles), country star Chris Janson, and original Foreigner frontman Lou Gramm. The run kicks off on July 12 at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana and wraps up on August 31 at the BankNH Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale starting tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13 at 10am local venue time throughout the week. General tickets go on sale this Friday, February 16 at 10am. A limited amount of VIP Meet & Greet Tickets will also be available.

On this run, Bret Michaels will hit the stage, opening with his seminal song, Poison’s “Talk Dirty To Me.” Then, he’s joined by recent Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame nominee Lou Gramm, the original voice of Foreigner, for three Foreigner hits. Later in Michaels’ set, Dee Snider, the high-energy frontman of Twisted Sister, sings “I Wanna Rock,” “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” and an insane version of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” as well as Poison’s “Nothing But A Good Time.” Michaels seamlessly conducts the evening, moving between Poison, Foreigner and Twisted Sister hits by all three original singers.

How can I attend Carowinds Summer Music Fest? How much will Carowinds Summer Music Fest cost?

Carowinds Summer Music Fest is with valid park admission. That means you can enjoy a day filled with roller coaster thrills and water park chills, plus the amazing performances of Carowinds Summer Music Fest with any valid general admission ticket or season pass .

How will seating work inside the Paladium?

Seating will be offered within the Paladium on an open basis and is subject to availability. Saving of seats by guests is not permitted; you must be physically present to occupy a seat within the Paladium. Section 1 seating is reserved for guests who collect a free wristband at Thrill Zone Stage (near Hurler) on the day of each performance, while supplies last.

Can I reserve seats for the concerts?

Access to section 1 seating requires a free wristband that can be received at Thrill Zone Stage (near Hurler) on the day of each performance, from park open until 4:00 p.m. or all wristbands have been distributed. Only one wristband will be distributed per physically present person. These free wristbands grant entry to the front seating section of the Paladium at any time after the gates open at 5:00 p.m.

Individual seats within section 1 seating are not assigned and may be occupied on a first-come, first-served basis, by guests with a valid, free wristband. As with all seating within the venue, this section is subject to availability. Carowinds reserves the right to deny entry when venue capacity is met. This condition applies to guests who have exited and wish to reenter the venue and/or section.

How do I enter the Paladium?

The Paladium is accessed from inside Carowinds. You must enter the park to proceed to the Paladium. All guests entering the park and Paladium are subject to security screening.

The gates of the Paladium are scheduled to open at 5:00 p.m. for each evening of performances.

What happens if there is inclement weather during Carowinds Summer Music Fest?

Performance times and seating availability are subject to change. Performances may be postponed or cancelled due to severe or inclement weather. The latest information on park closures and weather impact is available at Carowinds.com , or on Carowinds' official social media channels.

Is smoking allowed in the Paladium?

For the comfort of all guests, smoking of any kind, including vapor and e-cigarettes, is only permitted in the designated smoking areas, either in the Paladium concourse (directly to the right of the merchandise kiosk) or outside of the park entrance.

Can I exit the Paladium and re-enter the park during Carowinds Summer Music Fest?

Yes, you may move between the Paladium and the park during Carowinds Summer Music Fest. Please note, in the event the Paladium reaches capacity, you may not be allowed to re-enter the venue until adequate space has been made by other guests exiting the venue.

Carowinds reserves the right to deny entry when venue capacity is met. This condition applies to guests who have exited and wish to re-enter the venue.

Are strollers allowed at Carowinds Summer Music Fest?

Stroller parking will be available in the Paladium concourse, but no strollers will be allowed within the seating area.

Is there accessible seating in the Paladium for Carowinds Summer Music Fest?

Yes, accessible seating is available within the venue. Please ask an associate to be directed to accessible seating areas upon entering the venue.

Does Carowinds Summer Music Fest have a chaperone policy?

Carowinds’ chaperone policy remains in effect during the festival. Under this policy, all guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old in order to be admitted to or remain in the park. The policy will be in effect daily by 4:00 p.m. local time–Carowinds reserves the right to begin enforcing the Chaperone Policy earlier on any given day.

The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry. One (1) chaperone may accompany no more than 10 guests ages 15 or younger per day. In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay.

Guests 16 years of age or older may be asked to present a valid government issued photo identification (Driver's license, State Issued ID Card, Passport) with date of birth at entry to verify their age. If unable to verify proof of age, guests may be denied entry into the park.

Guests ages 15 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone when the Chaperone Policy is in effect will be subject to ejection. This chaperone requirement applies to all Carowinds ticket and season passholders.

Does Carowinds Summer Music Fest have a code of conduct?

Carowinds is committed to Protecting the Fun by providing a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all guests. To help us fulfill our commitment, we ask that you honor this code of conduct.

In addition to Carowinds’ code of conduct, please be aware of the following requirements of all guests:

Running, pushing, shoving, or any failure to follow directions from security, police, or event staff will be grounds for removal from the property.

Aisles within the Paladium must remain clear at all times.

Tailgating is not permitted.

Frisbees, beachballs, or other projectiles are not permitted. Throwing objects in the seating area and onto the stage is strictly prohibited and will be grounds for removal from the property.

Banners and signs larger than 11” x 8” are not permitted.

Umbrellas are not permitted in seating areas.

Unauthorized photography or recording of any kind is strictly prohibited without permission from Carowinds. Cameras, including those with removable lenses, may not be permitted within the venue.

Guests are expected to behave respectfully and in accordance with venue policy, state laws, and local laws. Any guest acting in a manner that management deems unsafe may be subject to removal from the property. If a guest violates a state law or local law they will be subject to any disciplinary action deemed necessary by local law enforcement. Carowinds reserves the right to deny entry to any guest for any reason. These policies are subject to change without notice.

In 2024, Mardi Gras took place on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

As for Bret Michael’s ‘Parti Gras 2.0 Tour,’ well, that’s running all year long.

From February through September, the former Poison frontman will play venues all over North America along with special guests Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, Don Felder from The Eagles , Foreigner’s Lou Gramm and “Buy Me A Boat” singer Chris Janson joining him on select dates.

Near the end of the lengthy run, the throwback quintet will motor into Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on Friday, Aug. 30.

For those not familiar with Michaels’ live shows, he promised “All killer hits…no filler” and “an audiovisual, feel good, smell good concert” on Instagram .

And if you want to join in on the debauchery, you can pick up tickets for 19 ‘Parti Gras 2.0’ concerts as soon as today.

At the time of publication, ticket prices start at $34 before fees on Vivid Seats.

BRET MICHAELS On 'Parti-Gras 2.0' Tour With DON FELDER, LOU GRAMM, DEE SNIDER: 'So Many Hits, It's Illegal'

POISON frontman Bret Michaels has partnered with Live Nation for the second edition of his solo touring festival, "Parti-Gras" . The 2024 trek includes appearances by Don Felder , formerly of THE EAGLES , Lou Gramm of FOREIGNER , Dee Snider of TWISTED SISTER , and Michaels 's good friend and country artist Chris Janson .

Presented by Live Nation , the six-city limited date run of this exact lineup kicks off on July 12 in Noblesville, Indiana, at the Ruoff Music Center, and includes a show Saturday, July 13 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, as well as Saturday, August 3 in Alpharetta, Georgia, Friday, August 23 in Clarkston, Michigan, Friday, August 24 in Holmdel, New Jersey, and the tour finale on August 31 in Gilford, New Hampshire, at BankNH Pavilion.

Although the Bret Michaels "Parti-Gras" rolls on in many different forms, it will only be at these six specific Live Nation amphitheaters that fans will see this exact lineup together.

Speaking to Stu of 104.5 WJJK Indy's Classic Hits , Bret stated about "Parti-Gras" (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET ): "This is a music festival. When I was putting this together, I said this has to be truly a nothing-but-a-good-time, nothing-but-a-good-vibe music festival. I want it to be with people that are my friends. I admire their music. I admire their attitude and character. And this year, think about this lineup."

He continued: "First of all… And I love all kind of music. If you come to any of my 'Parti-Gras' , whether it's the soul fire festivals, or we call them the Mad Mountain Michaels Fest, there's different versions of 'Parti-Gras' . This one is 2.0... And this lineup, it all kicks off, first and foremost, with Don Felder of THE EAGLES playing all THE EAGLES hits. This is one of my good friends who helped to write one of the greatest songs in music history with 'Hotel California' . And then 'Life In The Fast Lane' , you've got 'Take It Easy' . I mean, the list… I don't even know where to begin. He has so many hits. And then you've got Chris Janson — country sensation, my good friend. We did 'CMT Crossroads' together all this week airing, and he's got the No. 1 song in country music, plus my favorite song, 'Buy Me A Boat' . But he's such a rockin' country guy. His first song he ever learned to play was [ POISON 's] 'Talk Dirty To Me' . No lie — that was his first song he ever learned to play on guitar and sing. And then you've got joining me on stage, besides Chris and Don Felder , later in the night, you've got Dee Snider of TWISTED SISTER doing his hits with me, you've got Lou Gramm , the original voice of FOREIGNER , who's got so many hits himself. I'm, like, 'Lou, why don't you just do the night yourself?' You mix this with POISON hits, TWISTED SISTER , FOREIGNER , you mix it with Don Felder , you mix it with Chris Janson , I said, 'This is so many hits, it's illegal.'"

You never know what surprise guests will jump up as friends of Bret Michaels on the stage, whether it's star chef Guy Fieri , the "Impractical Jokers" or the "Pawn Stars" , or unbelievable superstar musicians. The "Parti-Gras" is like Jimmy Buffett meets AC/DC meets POISON in a backyard barbecue setting. Michaels has even been known to drag fans up on stage during these arena and amphitheater shows and let them sing along.

Bret Michaels calls National Cherry Festival concert one of his best nights ever

TRAVERSE CITY, MI - Bret Michaels didn’t just have nothing but a good time at the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City... he had a great time, calling it one of the best nights of his career.

The Poison frontman performed at the festival last night on the Pepsi Bayside Music Stage. After the show, he wrote, “Traverse City may be one of the best summer nights I’ve ever had,” on his Facebook page . “Thank you everybody for your nonstop energy and hospitality. I can’t wait to see you next year, right back here.”

Michaels also mentioned his upcoming Pine Knob concert. He will be there on Friday, August 23rd for is “ Parti-Gras 2024 ″ summer tour. The concert will also feature Eagles guitarist Don Felder , Chris Janson of “Buy Me A Boat” fame, Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider and Foreigner’s Lou Gramm .

After the Parti-Gras tour, Michaels, 61, told Blabbermouth that it could be a while before he tours again due to some health issues. He says other than possibly a few shows with his band and possibly some concerts with Poison, he needs to “recharge the batteries and get a good, much-needed physical tuneup.”

“In 2025, in light of some recent medical results and setbacks, and with much discussion and real advice from my doctors and family, I will be taking most, if not all, of 2025 off.”

Michaels, who has diabetes, has had a number of health issues over the years, including a brain hemorrhage and skin cancer.

He last performed in Michigan last summer when his very first ever “Parti-Gras” concert took place at Pine Knob with Night Ranger, Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath and former lead singer of Journey, Steve Augeri.
