Excellent company, have followed through with all proper procedures! I endorse and highly recommend this company to travellers.

I hate to be predictable here, but stay AWAY from this place. It is not worth your time or any "free" trip they may offer. My husband and I have never been treated so unprofessionally in our lives. We made the mistake of signing up for a "free" trip at a bike show we attended a few weeks prior. The cool dude at the booth said all we had to do was set up a time to meet with one of their travel agents where we would learn about CTC's other travel deals and offers. Just for meeting with them we would receive a free 7 day trip at one of their condo locations. We were skeptical, but also about 3 beers deep and figured "eh, what the hell." We assumed the meeting would cover various travel packages and anticipated some aggressive up selling from the agent, but we had no idea what we were in for. The meeting ended up being an "interactive" 90 minute power point on how CTC Travel/Pulaski Tickets & Tours would make us a travel agent, and thus would receive all travel booked through them at a heavily discounted, travel agent rate. All WE had to do was write a check for 10k THAT NIGHT and pay yearly dues of $199. I cannot speak to whether or not the travel deals they presented are legit or not, but as we were not prepared to write them a check for 10 grand it was a dead issue. Once the preso was completed, an agent came to our table to meet with us one on one. My husband made it clear to him that while it all sounded great, "it was not right for us, was way out of our budget, and we would NOT be writing a check of any kind, but thank you for your time." The initial agent seemed nice enough, but at our firm "no" seemed a bit like he was trying to bite back some irritation. It was an awkward exchange. At that point he said he would "get our free gifts" and we assumed the worst was over, and would soon be on our way. When he returned with his supervisor my husband made a joke that he was sorry they didn't get the other customer who was in the meeting with us, as she claimed to be a avid traveler and seemed like she was ready to sign up. At this statement both men rolled their eyes and proceeded to totally trash talk this other customer saying they "didn't buy a word she was saying" and implied she was full of it and wasted their time. I was pretty surprised by their candid negativity toward this customer especially when she WALKED PAST the conference room again and could have overheard everything they were saying about her! At this point I could only assume she did not choose to sign up with CTC and these guys were pissed so they had no issue talking crap about her to complete strangers! Once the supervisor sat down with us he started in on how he could give us an even better deal and he wanted to help us out, blah, blah, blah. Perhaps his intention was genuine, but the whole sales pitch and tone of the conversation reminded me of being trapped in a car dealership. I don't use the word "trapped" lightly either. It was hard to not feel like we were being held captive after having been foolishly lured into their van with the promise of a "free trip." Also, as it was 9:15 on a week night, and we had already been there for 2 hours, we were anxious to be on our way home. In so many words my husband said, "look, we don't want to waste your time here, you could drop the cost to a dollar and we would not sign up, but thank you anyway." After a bit more back and forth the supervisor became IRATE. He started raising his voice to us and said "you know what, I'm just trying be be polite here and help you out!!! I don't need this!! You think I CARE if you sign up?! Get out of here. Seriously. Get out!" As we sat there in slightly stunned, incredibly uncomfortable silence, he curtly explained our "free" gift trip to us, threw the paperwork at me and said "THERE. Get out." At which point we were dismissed with a flick of his hand. His anger, rudeness and lack of professionalism was honestly, shocking. So, in summation, if you are interested in being bullied into spending 5-10 thousand dollars by condescending jerks, you may be able to save some $$ on travel. If for some reason that is not something you are interested in, prepare to be treated like a piece of dog crap being scraped from the bottom of a shoe. Or, just learn from our mistake, and avoid this place all together. You're welcome.

Looks like the same type of "offer" Yelpers are discussing under Pulaski Travel in Concord. I just got off the phone with the hoarse voiced Carmella congratulating me on my free travel vacation I won after filling out some computer entry at the San Mateo Flower Show last month. Hummm, I did fill out a little slip of paper, never ever said " married, combined income $55,000, ages betw 27 - 70 or something. Carmella made me confirm that I am married because it's really important that they are dealing with a married couple. She explained that big time companies like Travelocity can pay for TWO commercials in the Superbowl and cater to a younger crowd. They are going for an older crowd (thus the flower show goers), and they believe that the best way to spend their money is to give away free travel and have the happy campers spread the word for them. I asked for the website and while we were talking mentioned that I don't see their Milpitas office listed on the website. Carmella blew that off with, "all the info you need will be in our email". Then I was passed on to Lynn Cook, awards coordinator. She instantly had all the info I had just discussed with Carmilla, including my idea of a dream vacation and where the last place I vacationed was. I was told that after I got the email I should respond with a "Got It" and will get a $25 gift certificate. (for something). I was given an appointment for 8pm, told to arrive at 7:45p, and expect to stay for 90 minutes. Why so long? I was told it takes time to intro the company, let us decide if we want to add more days, more flights , and the explanation of how they can save us 50% on travel. Oh boy. Also, we are both required to attend (even though I was told I could take someone else on the trip), bring 2 forms of ID, show a credit card to prove we can pay for incidentals, and expect to pay about $140/ person for taxes that the government does not allow them to pay for (?). Lynn also confirmed that I am not a current member of CTC nor have I ever won anything from them. After reading all the Yelp review on Pulaski I will probably not go to Milpitas. Ok, got the confirmation email from Kimberley Davis: Included was my special confirmation # and links to Maui & Oahu vacation sites. READ ON: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Congratulations on accepting our offer to come down to the CTC Travel office. CTC Travel is a full service company that specializes in land tours, vacation packages and condo rentals that is located in Milpitas. We at CTC Travel are looking forward to meeting you. As we discussed you will receive the following vacation incentive package: Enjoy 5 days / 4 nights Hawaii vacation for 2 adults. Bonus: 2 round trip airfares departing from San Francisco. Glad I read all the reviews on this company.. It saved me a 1 hr trip to Milpitas tonight. Guess I wont be getting that trip to the Dominican Republic after all. LOL. I had a feeling it was a scam and now it has been confirmed...

Photo of Elizabeth S.

Oh wow! It's not over yet! Where one scammer stops, the next one picks up. I don't know if these pests are related to the new ones (Goldrush Getaways) http://www.yelp.com/biz/goldrush-getaways-citrus-heights, but Goldrush is now reminding me of that fateful day I gave my info at the Foster Street Art and Wine festival for a drawing. Unreal...

I did respond to Mike here with my phone number. However, I am still receiving phone calls since yesterday. No doubt another one of these mindless drones will be calling me again today. BTW, Mike, Pulaski Tickets and Tours is not an A rating with BBB, ( http://www.bbb.org/greater-san-francisco/business-reviews/travel-agencies-and-bureaus/pulaski-tickets-and-tours-in-concord-ca-295513) and even if it was like your CTC Travel, neither business is accredited. Pulaski is, however, on the Ripoff Report ( http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Pulaski-Tickets-and-Tours/Pulaski-New-York-13142/Pulaski-Tickets-and-Tours-Condo-Club-Concord-California-False-promises-Ripped-off-money-818987) and of course Yelp which pretty much sums up how awesome both of these two businesses are. The concerns you should address are evident in the plethora of bad reviews for both businesses.

These people are absolutely relentless. I also will admit to making the disastrous mistake of entering a contest at the Foster City Arts and Wine Festival for a free trip. However, the lesson has been learned. This is the first and last time I will enter a contest for a free trip. Yes, I also had the pleasure of getting that phone call from a woman named Gina. She called me from 916-742-7997. She said I was lucky. hahaha Red flag number one... So I returned her a call to see what she had to say. Let's just say as soon as she started up with the free trip stuff, suddenly an epiphany hit me and brought me back to the Holiday Inn Vacation Club garbage my bf and I endured on our latest trip to Vegas. (Read that review here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/desert-club-resort-las-vegas#hrid:LK-IES7yRA9X_Vm2zbtd-Q) I simply told her, let me talk to my bf about this, and I'll call you back. She wasn't getting off the phone that easy either. I damn near had to hang up on her. Well, you'd think that was the end of that. Absolutely not! She called again from this number, and I didn't answer. She figured out I'm not going to call back. So I've been passed off to someone else as the new object of harassment. CTC is calling me from 650-264-9575. They've already called me 10 times in 10 days. In fact, they just called me again now. I spaced and answered until I realized it was them. I immediately gave her dial tone, then straight here to share my experience. Next on the list for reviewing is the Foster City Art and Wine Festival for having this scamming garbage at their fair. I know for next time, but this is not cool for anyone unsuspecting to be put up to this scam.

Someone named Gina called me (650- something) and she said she has my number based on demographic entry in orchid expo i'm eligible for and it's time sensitive so i'd have to respond to her voicemail. So i responded bcs i thought i won the taiwan trip for 2 from orchid expo...and so she wanted me to have an appointment at milpitas to set up a couple hours in milpitas to choose 1 free place like in hawaii, mexico, dominican republic. She said i have the privilege to have free airlines + free accommodation for 2 peeps. I was skeptical and she kinda wanted me to set up a day when i could come to milpitas. I was almost going there, but there's this feeling that it sounds too good to be true. She said that this is just to introduce their travel company to the customers so we will actually come back to their company in the future to book future travels with them. So Gina called me from this 650 number, and the funny thing is she has this other number 917 something, and then there's another408 number she called me from, she said i have to bring ID & credit cards to their address. So this is after i made an appointment on certain date and after that she sent me this e-mail to confirm. But I called and i cancelled anyways because i'm not sure anymore and this sound too good to be true! oh plus i only have to pay for the government tax she said for around 100 something and that's all the fees i have to pay. If this isn't a scam, then it's pretty darn close. I am skeptical by nature, and I know most of the travel scams pretty well. I love to travel, so I've listened to the full stories just long enough to hear where most of the free ones cease being free. (NOTE: Taxes could be $200-300/person. There are limits on the amount of airfare that's covered. Only days that are not anywhere connected to a holiday are eligible, and so on and so forth.) Still, I was leaving the autoshow in a good mood and stopped to hear what the young man at the travel booth had to say. First they only needed $20 to get you a gift certificate for a few days of fully covered vacation and airfare. Then to pick up the certificate, they set an appointment to talk to you about more perks... blah blah blah. In my case, I didn't have to listen to the whole shebang because they had overbooked. They gave me my certificate which now required an additional $50 refundable money order. I sent in the money order with the certificate as required. They cashed in the money order, sent it back to me with a piece of paper saying my certificate is now voided because I didn't include a money order. And of course, my calls to CTC have gone unreturned. I can never get through the call center of Grand Incentives - the company name on the gift certificate. Sorry, the old adage still applies if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. End result, they pocket $20-70 from every sucker that happens by them, and probably even more from the folks that sign up for whatever the next level of "deals" is. Of course, if you're reading this, it's because you've already signed up for something with CTC or whatever they're calling themselves these days. Hope your trip works out better than mine. But based on the reviews at BBB.org, I doubt it.

Yes, Lynn F. is correct in CTC being one and the same organization as Pulaski Travel in Concord. Lynn has written a very thorough and excellent review and summary of the interaction you are likely to have had when someone from CTC called to tell you you won a trip - I had a nearly identical experience, and when you go read the reviews on Pulaski Travel, you will find that everyone there did as well. I will add to everything prior Yelpers have graciously done for the rest of us by adding one more tidbit -- On Pulaski Travels' "About This Business" tab, the following is posted [copied and pasted here as I will not be surprised if it is soon removed; it essentially confirms that Pulaski = CTC]: Provided by business Specialties Full Service Host Travel Agency History Established in 1991 Pulaski Tickets & Tours, Inc. (Tickets & Tours) - Fully licensed, ARC appointed travel agency incorporated in 1991. Tickets and Tours has handled travel accommodations for corporate and leisure travelers throughout the nation. Working with some of the best service providers in the industry, CTC now offers thousands of Condominiums at prices starting as low as $99 a week for members. Meet the Business Owner: Patrick H. Association Graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Patrick started from the "ground up" in the Private Resort Industry. From frontline sales at All Seasons Resorts in 1985 to owner and President of East Coast Resorts in 1988, a wealth of operations, sales and marketing experience gives him the sensitivity necessary to make CTC and Tickets & Tours responsive to the needs of our members. Additionally, Patrick lives in Syracuse, NY (thank you, google) and if you go to the website for CTC ( http://www.condotravelclub.com/info.asp) you will see that its address is PULASKI, NY (Condominium Travel Club Inc., 4882 A North Jefferson St., Pulaski NY 13142, 1-877-453-8458) So you see, they were already calling themselves CTC and now seem to have just dropped the Pulaski part and changed office locations, ostensibly because they have attracted such a bad name. Unfortunately they do not seem to have changed their practices or cleaned up their act, which is how they earned their bad reputation in the first place. If you want to review them with the Better Business Bureau, here is the place to go, provided by their very own site (they just made it very difficult to find): https://www.bbb.org/upstate-new-york/business-reviews/travel-agencies-and-bureaus/pulaski-tickets-tours-inc-in-pulaski-ny-211204325/#bbbonlineclick Cheers.

If I could give a zero I would. I have told this company to lose my number and never to call me again. I dont care if you claim to have a awesome trip for free to me I dont want it!!! each time Im nice and listen to there call but when I want to speak the guy interrupts me and pushes more information that means nothing to me. so this last call I simply hung up. Then I looked up the company to find these reviews. THANK YOU YELP PEOPLE!!! you saved me from giving anymore thought to this company. I would never in a million years give $5-10,000 to anyone to possibly SAVE money how in the world does that work??? lesson learned if its too good to be true its not true.

Thank goodness for the reviews above. My husband I were going to go for the 90 minute presentation, because we had entered the content at WinterWonderland at Great America. Lesson Learned for sure!! It's always too good to be true. I've been harassed for the last 3 days now during working hours (when I specifically told them not to call me during 8-5. by a guy named Peter. Very unprofessional, very juvenile, just felt fishy and sounded fishy. Asked for a call back number and was given 855-306-1464 x 337. I asked since they were based in Milpitas, is there a local number, and he said no. :( STAY AWAY and don't get sucked in. they are also calling at my home number late at night waking up my small children. :(
