Welcome to Safari Adventure for a fun-filled day full of Long Island's best children’s activities and attractions. Safari Adventure is a uniquely fun party venue for kids with a very diverse offering of things to do! We are one of the cleanest children's play centers around! We offer a four-level indoor playground where kids can get plenty of exercise in the most exciting setting possible, a great variety of inflatables, and a very fun hands-on sensory area to help stimulate children's creativity and imagination.

Our play equipment is perfect for children between the ages of 1 and 10, and there are no schedules to check or time limitations to worry about. We invite you to come anytime we’re open, every day between 10 am and 7 pm (last entry at 6pm). Schedule may vary on days of private or special events.

In addition to our four-level soft play structure, we have enormous bouncers and a full set of over 30 video games and skill games to appeal to children of all ages. Our children’s entertainment center features a trading post, where children can trade their e-tickets they win at these games for all kinds of fun prizes! Our kid's attractions offer challenges not only a child's motor skill but also the mind, the eye, and the child’s overall dexterity. Our sensory friendly facility also features a sensory calming spa which gives overstimulated children a place to calm down and relax.

On “Kilimanjaro,” the largest soft play unit of its kind on Long Island, children have a blast exploring its various levels and tunnels. Children will be able to express their imagination while they play in this African themed structure, and they’ll climb across cargo nets, through tunnels, and past obstacles. Plenty of safe slides will give them a chance for fast movement and physical games with their friends.

During your visit to Dino Safari , you will be asked to play an audio tour on your phone. You can use an aux cable or a Bluetooth connection in your car to amplify the audio during your drive-thru. Dino Safari is committed to the health and safety of our staff and visitors. All staff are required to wear a face covering at all times, to wash hands frequently, and sanitize surfaces. We will maintain a 6ft distance from one another and our guests at all times. Tickets can be scanned in a touchless manner and all on-site interactions are conducted in as safe a manner as possible. We ask that guests also follow all local and state guidelines regarding COVID-19, including wearing face coverings when car windows and sunroofs are open.

Dino Safari: A Dinosaur Drive-Thru Adventure Invades Long Island

Grab your prehistoric passport and join more than 40 LIFE-SIZE moving dinosaurs including Triceratops , Parasaurolophus , Microraptor and of course, T- Rex to name a few, on the globetrotting expedition, Dino Safari . This drive-thru dino adventure is fun for the entire family and is coming to the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park, NY from Friday, June 11 through Sunday, July 11.

Get up-close-and personal with the most fascinating prehistoric creatures from the mighty T. Rex of North America to the giant amphibious Spinosaurus of Africa. On your adventure, you will learn how dinosaurs evolved over time, where they called home, and the discoveries paleontologists have made about how they ate, moved, and behaved. Beware: along the journey, earthquakes might erupt, dinosaurs could battle, and your family might just have to help save a baby dinosaur’s life! So, buckle up for the adventure of a lifetime in this completely COVID-safe experience.

Dino Safari was created in consultation with paleontologist Dr. Gregory Erickson and features fact-based, educational content in addition to an exciting storyline. Kids and families are guided through the fictional “Pangea National Park” by an audio tour (available in both English and Spanish) that plays through each car’s audio system, featuring fun and friendly characters. Each vehicle is given a “Survival Pack” containing your passport to Pangea with a scavenger hunt and other fun surprises for a more interactive experience.

New summer 2024 attractions: What's coming to Adventureland, Scott's Pointe and more

Get ready to be spun upside down, to fall off a floating obstacle course and into a lake, and to see animals perform this summer as venues up their games with new offerings. Here's a sampling.

ADVENTURELAND

Two new rides are thrilling visitors at Adventureland this season — the Moon Chaser and the Jr. Pirate Ship .

The Moon Chaser is a galaxy-themed ride that spins, rocks, dips and even inverts riders, says Caitlin DiSclafani, park manager. It's unlike any other ride at the park for this reason, she says: It turns riders upside down.

Riders are harnessed in two horizontal rows like in a movie theater, with each row holding 14 riders, and are lifted into the air together. “It depends on power rather than momentum or gravity,” DiSclafani says. Riders will need to be 55 inches tall, the size of a typical 11-year-old, she says.

The Jr. Pirate Ship is a kiddie ride that replaces the Spinning Cars ride outside the arcade area at the entrance to Kiddie Land. It swings up and down in a pendulum-style motion and has a tropical vibe. A temporary version at the park will be replaced later this summer with the actual permanent version, DiSclafani says. Kids must be at least 36 inches tall to ride with a parent and 47 inches tall to ride alone.

Spoiler alert: One more ride, the Wave Twister, is coming next year. “It will feel similar to surfing on ocean waves,” DiSclafani says. It will not be a water ride, though there may be a water element such as a fountain or mist, she says.

SCOTT'S POINTE

Outdoor activities will be joining the indoor options this summer at Scott's Pointe adventure park in Calverton. “This will be the first year that everything outside is open to the public,” says co-owner Cody Scott.

On tap to open by Memorial Day is a paved go-cart track with 40 carts, some for children, some for adults, and some doubles to be shared, he says. There will be two sand volleyball courts with the ability to have up to eight for special events. Six batting cages will accommodate baseball and softball batting.

The lake will have 15 bumper boats, a dozen paddleboards and a dozen kayaks, Scott says. In addition, the lake will offer a 2-acre floating obstacle course. Users swim out to the inflatable boardwalk and then tackle slides, trampolines and rock climbing. “If you fall, you fall into the water,” Scott says.

LONG ISLAND GAME FARM

The Manorville farm will open a renovated outdoor amphitheater and a universal-access nature trail for wheelchair users and strollers this season, says Patricia Snyder, executive director of the Foundation for Wildlife Sustainability, the nonprofit arm of the farm.

The improved, 300-seat amphitheater will allow the farm to put on its traditional daytime animal shows and also to offer after-hour family concerts and performances that will enable the park to grow its revenue, Snyder says. “We envision including picnic tables and inviting food trucks,” Snyder says.

The universal-access paved trail will have learning areas and in the future a labyrinth, Snyder says. It will have signs in Braille, English and Spanish.

“Our goal is to have it all up and running by Memorial Day, but that might be too ambitious,” Melinda Novak, farm president, says of both projects.

Apple Releases Safari Technology Preview 194 With Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements

Apple last week released a new update for Safari Technology Preview , the experimental browser Apple first introduced in March 2016. Apple designed the ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ to test features that may be introduced into future release versions of Safari.

The current ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ release is compatible with machines running macOS Ventura and macOS Sonoma , the latest version of macOS that Apple released in September 2023.

The ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ update is available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences or System Settings to anyone who has downloaded the browser . Full release notes for the update are available on the Safari Technology Preview website .

Apple's aim with ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ is to gather feedback from developers and users on its browser development process. ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ can run side-by-side with the existing Safari browser and while designed for developers, it does not require a developer account to download.
