My number 1 tip if you have colored hair! And then I mean red, purple, orange, copper, or just want a temporary tan. The shampoo doesn't really clean, but I use it purely for color. You let it work for 5 minutes, or 10-15 if you want stronger, and rinse it out. Wash once with normal shampoo (otherwise you will have a greasy residue) and your colour can withstand it again! Oh, and wash with gloves ✋, otherwise you'll have colored hands and nails 😅

Hi😊 Als je nog actief bent op dit platform heb ik een vraagje over deze wash. Hoe vaak kan je dit gebruiken om je kleur op te frissen? En heb je na deze shampoo ook al een keer je haar gebleekt en kan dit? Niet dat de kleur opeens naar boven komt net zoals bij Andrelon 😂

2000 km in 4 days with my new Tata Safari facelift: 10 Pros & 7 Cons

Had the Nexon EV Prime previously and currently own the Nexon EV Max, alongside the new Safari.

I am also a fellow Safari Accomplished Plus owner. I have recently purchased the car. I have been a strong EV enthusiast but there are no options in 7-seater cars in EVs so decided to pick up the Safari. I have owned the Nexon EV Prime before but my experience was not good and also now have the Nexon EV Max which has certain niggles too and I am waiting for a proper resolution still. I have owned tons of cars from different brands so far but love to support our brands and want them to succeed. However, I must sadly say that the customer service approach from our local brands particularly Tata and Mahindra is not up to the mark for sure. I’ll list some pros and cons I found with my car after driving it for 2000 in 4 days recently.

Tata Safari facelift Pros:

• The car is solidly built. The LR platform outshines on the highways. The car eats up the miles in comfort.
• Seating comfort for 7 passengers is quite good. I have the 7 seater configuration and 6 adults and 1 kid could travel without feeling cramped for space. The last row is usable by adults too.
• Cameras are crisp and clear in the daytime and are okay in the nighttime. The parking guidelines are accurate. The 360-degree camera and front and back sensors are a boon to handle the bulky size of the vehicle.
• The JBL music system is simply awesome. It’s too good for the car at this price point. The infotainment screen is crisp and Android Auto and Apple carplay being wireless is a very good feature.
• The car has ample charging sockets for all occupants. The utility part of the car is neatly done.
• Seats are super comfortable for all occupants. Just the right amount of cushion and ergonomics for everyone. Seat ventilation is a bonus.
• I am simply blown away by the suspension setup on the car. I have used luxury cars with 2x and 3x the price of the safari and they would also unsettle on some bad road conditions when driven with full load. However, the safari is rock solid on bad roads. The suspension setup is very impressive.
• The electronic power steering is light to drive and does not cause any fatigue. The driving position is perfect for my liking and I could do almost 500+ kms a day on an avg for 4 days straight without getting tired.
• The engine is very well refined and noise levels are well isolated from the cabin. A commendable job has been done to make the cabin experience smooth on the new version.
• The engine is very efficient as well. At lower three-digit speeds constantly, I could extract 13-15 km/l mileage with a full load which is very good.

Tata Safari facelift Cons:

• The legacy of cons remains and they need to be sorted by Tata ASAP for the product to succeed. The first and foremost is the fit and finish of the car. There are uneven panel gaps all over the cabin and on the exterior.
• The paint finish is not up to the mark at all places on the car. The fitment of plastic parts in the interior is not correct in many parts of the car. This causes some rattles when travelling.
• The biggest hit-and-miss is Adas functions. In 4 days of travel, I got ADAS sensor malfunction warnings around 6 times. Adaptive cruise control would become unavailable when the sensor used to go mad. Lane keep assist is not active and the lane departure warning is very late in responding. Collision assist also does not work well and is very late to warn even when sensitivity is set to the highest level. Overall ADAS calibration is not up to the mark. The only thing that I found working correctly was the rear cross-traffic alert.
• The OE tyres provided with the cars are hard. The lower trims get Bridgestones while the top trim gets MRFs with an odd size. The size 245/55 R19 is very odd and if you end up damaging one of your tyres, it is very hard to find a tyre of this size easily. I have upgraded my tyres to Pirelli Pzeros and they have made a huge difference to the car and its handling.
• There are hardly any accessories available for the car with TML. The floor mats they provided do not match and they say it might take some months for the mats to arrive. So the car gets dirty easily.
• As I said the cons continue and so another big issue is the lack of knowledge of the model with TML technicians. I took the car 2 times to the dealership so far and both times did not have a great experience. First, it was for the number plate fitment and the person there started fitting the plate right in front of the Adas sensor and was not even aware that he was going to block the radar. Fortunately, another technician was available who could understand what I was saying and then repositioned the plate. The second time the fog light was making noise and was loose and the technician mentioned that the full bumper needed to be taken down while it was just a matter of removing one cover from the wheel arch.
• The headlights on the car are not good at all for highway conditions. The throw is not bright enough and neither it is long enough. The spread is ok but the throw is hardly 150-200 feet even on a high beam. Tata needs to provide better headlights for sure for safety reasons. I had to drive very cautiously at night due to the bad headlights.

Overall, it is a great car and Tata has come a long way with its improvements, however, they need to solve the niggles and basic customer service issues asap to give the owners a better experience. The issues with ADAS need to be solved on priority because they are related to safety.

The Metamorphosis

Written in three weeks in the later months of 1912, and published three years later in 1915, The Metamorphosis is Franz Kafka’s most famous work.

The short novel tells the tragic and disturbing story of Gregor Samsa who wakes up one day to discover he’s been transformed into a gigantic insect/vermin. The story catches a reader’s attention through the direct way that this transformation is introduced and the surprising nature of Gregor’s reaction to it.

Family Responsibility and Priorities

Rather than screaming or questioning his own sanity, Gregor’s first concern is his family . This is a feature rather than a bug of his personality. His family, in all things, comes first for Gregor. As the story progresses and from Gregor’s perspective the reader learns more about his life, his dedication to his family is emphasized. He is a traveling salesman, a job with people, and hours that he hates. Despite this, he continues. His family is far from wealthy and most of the money he makes goes to paying off his father’s debts. Gregor’s responsibility to his family, and responsibility in general, is one of the most important themes of this piece.  

When Gregor’s condition becomes clear to his family, their reaction is what a reader is probably expecting. I found myself hoping that they’d somehow share his practical approach to the situation and find empathy for the poor man. But, this was not the case. They screamed in fright and disgust and Gregor sadly scampered back into the room.  

The story is told from Gregor’s perspective and therefore a reader should empathize with him to the greatest extent. Because we learn about his new life at the same time he does, confront the same obstacles and emotions, it is easier to understand him. This speaks to Kafka’s skill as a writer, particularly his ability to build a difficult character in a very challenging situation. I found myself imagining how the affective qualities of the novel would’ve been different had the story been told from Grete’s perspective, or even Mr. Samsa’s. A reader’s emotional investment might end up with a different character.  

Transformation

There are so many unknowns in The Metamorphosis . The mystery of how Gregor became an insect is never answered, nor does anyone address it as anything more than a very inconvenient turn of events. It takes Gregor some time to get used to his new body, but eventually, he comes to enjoy crawling on the wall and ceiling and hiding in dark places as a large cockroach would. The harder transformation is occurring within him. He tries hard, despite how he’s treated by his family members, to hang on to his humanity. Grete feeds him for a time, but even she backs off and turns on him. He’s left with his memories and his few possessions until the family comes to take those as well.  

One of the most moving and disturbing scenes in the book comes when Gregor crawls onto the wall on top of a photograph that he’s determined to keep. This action results in his mother seeing him, fainting, and then him being attacked by his father with apples. Gregor sustains serious injuries and the family backs away from him even more.  

In Conclusion

Gregor is entirely alone at this point and the reader feels as he does, trapped in his room forced to listen to his family move on with their lives below him. He struggles with the fact that he can’t help them financially or take pleasure from his sister’s playing of the violin. At one point, the latter inspires him to leave his room. He’s spotting by lodgers in the apartment and they leave, horrified. It is at this point, having hurt his family’s income once more, that Gregor decides that he’s too much of a burden on them. He dies, alone, and unloved by everyone.  

At this point I found myself hoping that one member of the family might show regret for the way he was treated, but that was not what happened. They moved on with their lives, relieved to be rid of their son/brother.

The Metamorphosis Review

The Metamorphosis  is a book that sticks with you. Kafka takes the reader into a world where one absurd, pointless event changes a man’s life. Gregor’s struggles with his own humanity, the way his family treats him, and his unabating guilt make him incredibly relatable. But, his newfound form, that of a giant insect (perhaps a cockroach or some kind of flying beetle) makes him repulsive and hard to accept as human.

Readers will leave this book wondering how and why this transformation took place. Unfortunately or fortunately, there is no answer to that question. It has left readers guessing since its publication in 1915.

De producten werden op dit moment nog geproduceerd in België en Italië. Al snel werd de vraag naar de producten zo groot dat de producenten in België en Italië de groei niet meer konden bijbenen. Als gevolg hiervan werd in het jaar 2000 een belangrijke en beslissende stap genomen. Besloten werd om de gehele productie naar Maastricht te verhuizen en in eigen beheer te nemen. The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka is a novella first published in 1915. Kafka wrote the novella over the course of three weeks and won the prestigious Theodor Fontane Prize, a German-language literary award for his efforts. This was a seminal piece of work for the author.

After a troubled night of dreams, and no doubt a lot of tossing and turning, traveling salesman, Gregor Samsa wakes to the sound of rain hitting the window pane, only to discover that at some time during the night he was transformed into a large vermin. He is quite calm about his new body and spends some time in his bed reflecting on his life – rushing from train-to-train to customers, but not seeing them often enough to build deep relationships, waking at 4:00 am to be in the office before 7:00 am.

After he is finished reflecting on his life, Gregor has a difficult time getting off his bed because of his awkward shape, his many legs seem to have a mind of their own. While facing this dilemma, the chief clerk from Gregory’s office has come to his home to ascertain his absence. Now, Gregor has never been late or absent in all his 15 years working for the company. Because of this, his parents who had knocked on his door earlier, believe that he is ill.

The chief clerk is talking to Gregor through the door and he is using subtle threats and commenting on his work although no one has every complained about the quality of his work before. The salesman tries to defend his work, but the sound is very “unhumanlike” as it should be, because he is now an insect. Those on the other side of the door are alarmed by the sound, and that’s when he realizes that he doesn’t recognize the true sound of his voice.

The father sends for a doctor and a locksmith. Using his mouth, and harming himself in the process, Gregor Samsa finally opens the door, and you can imagine the look on everyone’s face when they see him. The trembling chief clerk moves slowly toward the door, the mother is on the floor disappearing into herself, and the father weeps. Gregor realizes that he cannot allow the chief clerk to leave now because he knows he will lose his job for sure – he has to calm him down and win him over.

His father snaps out of the state he is in and forces Gregor back into his room. His sister Grete is the only one who shows some compassion during the ordeal and brings him food, and eventually she changes toward him. As time goes they are forced to change their lifestyle. Five years before, Gregor’s father lost his business and he steps up and works very hard and is quickly promoted from a junior salesman to a traveling representative. He earns a lot of money in his new role and takes care of his family. At first, they are very grateful, then they take things for granted. Although it’s not explicit, there is a strained relationship between Gregor and his father, and that could be indicative of the relationship between Kafka and his own father.

Shortly after Gregor’s transformation, the father is forced to take a job at the bank to bring employees their breakfast. The mother sews fancy underwear and washes strangers’ clothes, and Grete attends school and learns shorthand and French. The family also rents rooms to three gentlemen who are very demanding. They have to work very hard to satisfy these men.

Later that evening, Grete tells her parents that they should get rid of the monster, that Gregor isn’t coming back and that she is tired of living like that, and the father agrees with her. Gregor wants to grant them the wish but doesn’t know how to leave. During the night, he shrivels and dies. Gregor dies so as he lived, always putting his family first. It is never explained why he was transformed in the first place.

The charwoman finds Gregor and tells the family. They mourn him, decide to take the day off, and go out together. They take the time to ask each other about their work, which they hadn’t done in a long time, they even discuss their finances, and decide to move to a better apartment. Through Gregor’s death, his family are able to live.

I detest people who behave like the Samsa family, because after Gregor is transformed and is no longer able to help himself or them, they do not really stand beside him – they are ashamed. He is an embarrassment and interrupts their lives. No one, including Gregor tries to find a cure for what ails him, is that important?

Communication is so important in a family, and people need to talk things through. Gregory was wrong to take on the burden of the family without them sitting down and talking about their financial situation when the father lost his business. He thought it was expected of him to assume his parent’s huge debt, when all along the father hadn’t lost everything and was frugal enough to save some of the money that Gregor gave to the family. Yet at no time did it occur to the father that he could use some of this extra money to apply to his debt.
