OMEGA X Announces Dates And Cities For Latin American Leg Of 2022 World Tour

OMEGA X has revealed the dates and cities for their upcoming tour of Latin America!

On July 24, OMEGA X officially announced their plans for the Latin American leg of their 2022 world tour “CONNECT: Don’t give up.”

After kicking things off in Guadalajara on September 16, OMEGA X will perform in Mexico City on September 18, Mérida on September 21, Bogotá on September 23, and São Paulo on September 28.

OMEGA X also previously announced that they would be performing in a dozen cities across the United States later this year, though they have not yet revealed the stops for the U.S. leg of their world tour.

On July 24, OMEGA X announced their first world tour, 2022 OMEGA X World Tour [Connect :Don't give up], which will take place in America in September and October 2022. [1] They later revealed the first five dates for the Latin American leg, starting with Guadalajara on September 16. [2] On August 12, they announced the dates for the North American leg. [3]

On September 13, they announced that they had canceled their Brasil date. [4] They also announced the addition of a Chile concert date. [5]

Hangyeom was unable to participate in the Mexico City concert due to health issues. [6]

On September 27, they announced the cancellation of three North American concerts due to the local promoter. [7] The following day, MC Entertainment confirmed they took over the group's USA tour. [8]

Members Jehyun , Kevin , Hyuk and Yechan were unable to participate in the Santiago concert due to health concerns. [9]

On October 3, MC Entertainment announced the cancellation of the New York City concert due to miscommunication between agency and promotion company. The concert was rescheduled for the next day. [10]

On October 9, SPIRE Entertainment announced they are no longer working with MC Entertainment. Moreover, they would be hosting the remaining of the North American tour themselves, starting from the Louisville concert. [11]

Taedong was unable to participate in the Chicago concert due to health concerns. [12]

K-pop boyband OMEGA X to perform in Latin America and US on first world tour

The 11-member act will go on the road in September and October

K-pop boy group OMEGA X will soon be embarking on their first-ever world tour.

On July 14, the boyband and SPIRE Entertainment announced that the group, who debuted in 2021, will kick off their first-ever world tour sometime this September.

While official dates and venues have yet to be shared, SPIRE Entertainment has revealed via a press release that the boyband will perform in six cities across four countries in Latin America in September. The 11-member act will then head to the US in October, where they will hold concerts in 12 cities. Further details are expected in the following weeks.

The news comes a month after the release of OMEGA X’s debut studio album ‘낙서(樂서): Story Written in Music’, which was led by the title track ‘Play Dumb’. Several songs on the record, including its title track, were co-written and/or composed by members of the boyband.

OMEGA X made their debut last June with their debut mini-album ‘Vamos’, which featured a lead single of the same name. Notably, the group comprises members who have been part of various other K-pop acts in the past. The members hail from now-disbanded groups like 1TEAM and 1THE9 and boybands on extended hiatuses, such as Limitless and SNUPER.

In an interview with NME last year, the boyband shared their thoughts on receiving a “second chance” to debut as K-pop idols. “Having a second chance is really amazing, and my thoughts and feelings have changed a lot this time,” said member Hangyeom. “I want to empower our fans and the public, and it’s now my dream to give them hope.”

OMEGA X Announces First World Tour Since Their Debut

From Spire Entertainment: OMEGA X will be holding their first world tour since their debut in 2021 starting this September. The group will perform in six cities in four countries across Latin America and in October, the group will travel and perform in 12 cities across the United States.

OMEGA X has earned the title of 'New Refreshing Idol' with their first full-length album 낙서 ( 樂 서 ): Story Written in Music and the group has also topped the iTunes album charts in India, Norway, and Israel, confirming their status as a global idol.

ABOUT OMEGA X

OMEGA X is an 11-member K-Pop group under Spire Entertainment. The members include JAEHAN, HWICHAN, SEBIN, HANGYEOM, TAEDON, XEN, JEHYUN, KEVIN, JUNGHOON, HYUK, AND YECHAN. Omega (Ω), the last letter of the Greek alphabet, symbolizes the end, while the letter X denotes the unknown with infinite possibilities. Combined, Omega X suggests their determination to become the last boss of K-pop, symbolizing constant change and growth.  

All of the members of Omega X have previously appeared on reality TV audition programs or debuted with other K-Pop acts, which made Omega X their second chance in the K-pop industry. The members and their agency believe that liking someone and becoming a fan is not simply a process of sharing the artist's musical inspiration with their fans. Human empathy plays a big part in this. All of the Omega X members have their own special stories, and through those stories, they hope that fans can relate and resonate with each member's personality and music.

Boy band Omega X announces dates for Latin American leg of world tour

South Korean boy band Omega X has announced the dates and cities for its upcoming tour of Latin America.

On July 24 th the group officially announced their dates for the Latin leg of their tour.

They will perform in Guadalajara on September 16 followed by Mexico City on September 18 and Merida on the 21 st . Next up will be Bogota on September 23 rd and São Paulo on the 28 th .

Their 2022 world tour is titled Connect: Don’t give up. The 11 member group also announced that they will be performing in at least 12 cities across the United States later this year though the cities for their US leg have yet to be revealed.

The group made a comeback this year with a new album that came out last month. The new title track of the album was very different from the group’s previous releases which used to mainly be all about being sexy and cool.

The group started with a mini album in January titled Love Me Like with a title track of the same name. Omega X comprises of Jaehan, Hwichan, Sebin, Hangyeom, Taedong, Xen, Jehyun, Kevin, Junghoon, Hyuk and Yechan.

Interestingly all of Omega X’s members have been in survival shows or made their debut in other K-pop groups before joining Omega X. Hangyeom is a former member of  Seven O’Clock  who also participated in  Mix Nine , finishing in 6th place.

Jaehan was a contestant on  Produce 101 Season 2  and a former member of  Spectrum. Hwichan also participated in  Mix Nine  and is a former member of Limitless. Sebin is a former member of  Snuper  and participated in  The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project . Taedong participated in  Boys24  and  Produce 101 Season 2,  and is a former member of Gidongdae.

Xen and Jehyun are former members of  1Team. Kevin, Junghoon and Hyuk are former members of  ENOi. Yechan participated in  Under Nineteen  and is a former member of  1the9.

Spire Entertainment’s 11-member boy group Omega X recently announced the U.S. segment of their upcoming “Connect: Don’t Give Up” world tour.

The U.S. segment of the tour will span 12 cities, starting on Oct. 1 in Boston and concluding in Los Angeles on Oct. 23. Last month, Omega X revealed that they will be performing in five cities in Latin America, including Mexico City and Bogotá, Colombia.

After a jam-packed two-month-long world tour, the 11 members of K-pop boy band OMEGA X, Jaehan, Hwichan, Sebin, Hangyeom, Taedong, Xen, Jehyun, Kevin, Junghoon, Hyuk and Yechan, performed their hearts out to a hefty group of loud and passionate fans on the Orpheum Theatre’s stage on October 22nd, 2022.

After only making their debut just over a year ago on June 30th 2021, OMEGA X took off on their first world tour after only one year of the members being together as OMEGA X, (each member has had idol experience in the past, from a former groups and  idol reality survival programs, and have come together with 11 different heartfelt stories to become the full group, OMEGA X)! The tour covered six cities in Latin America – Guadalajara, Mexico City, Merida, Colombia, and Brazil – and 12 cities in the US – New York, Atlanta, Orlando, Louisville, Chicago, Denver, Lawrence, Dallas, San Antonio, Phoenix, and Los Angeles.

If you had to know only one thing about OMEGA X, it’s that their performances are just as hype as their music.  Each performance of their show was just as energetic as the last, with increasingly complicated choreography (remember there’s 11 members), and they were doing it all while giving us flawless live vocals, even sometimes spontaneously harmonizing between songs.  It’s a wonder how the members performed in all 18 cities, because if they had the same energy I witnessed at their LA show across all the stops in their tour, they must be on some next level of energy sources.  

The members did mention one of their secret energy sources: “FOR X,” their fandom. The LA FOR X lined up early on an uncharacteristically chilly LA evening to waste no time warming up the Orpheum by singing and dancing along to the OMEGA X songs that played before the show started.  When the members came out, there was not a quiet fan in the entire theater, and almost everybody knew the dance moves.  The members performed an explosive first two songs before saying hello to their fans during a short water break, and then continued on performing before a VCR and outfit change.  They kept the energy high throughout most of the show, but did sprinkle in a slower song or two to spend a touching moment with their FOR X.  During one section, the members played a game with the fans, quizzing them on who among the fans knew the members better, and one lucky fan who got the answer right was escorted onto stage to be serenaded by all of the members, (which I’m sure was a moment they will never forget). 

Towards the end of the concert, each of the 11 members got their own time to say what they wanted to their fans, and since it was the last stop of the tour, all 11 speeches were pretty sentimental.  All 11 members thanked their fans for being there, and cited them as inspiration to keep going through rough times.  There was of course an encore stage, where the members came back out onto stage wearing their tour shirts, and seemed to be surprised with a video slideshow playing behind them with selfies they took on stage with their fans at each of their US tour stops.  After the song was done, they completed their collection by taking a selfie with all their fans at The Orpheum too. The members also occasionally had vlogging cameras out with them on stage, hopefully meaning FOR X have an exciting first World Tour vlog to look forward to to remember these moments.

Two songs I recommend are “Vamos” and “Love Me Like,” both of which are high-energy songs that lend themselves seamlessly to live concerts, thanks to the performance skills and energy of the members.  One explanation for them starting off with a Latin American tour can be easily explained by the numerous instances of Spanish lyrics in their music.  “Vamos” not only has a Spanish title, but Spanish-language lyrics throughout the song, while the “Love Me Like” beat sounds like it has some Latin influences.  

Although I only attended the LA concert, it seems to me that OMEGA X’s efforts to connect to Western audiences is bearing passionate, energetic, and heartwarming fruit, as every FOR X in the crowd knew every single word – Korean, Spanish, or English – to every single song.

The K-pop boy group announced today (8 August) that they will be embarking on their first world tour CONNECT: Don't Give Up which will kick off in the US this October.

OMEGA X most recently released their first full album, Story Written In Music  last June. It follows the release of their mini-album,  LOVE ME LIKE  which dropped earlier this year.

OMEGA X unveils all 12 cities on the U.S. leg of their upcoming 'CONNECT: Don't Give Up' world tour

OMEGA X is gearing up to visit the States this October!

On August 8 KST, Spire Entertainment unveiled the official dates for the North American leg of OMEGA X's 2022 world tour ' CONNECT: Don't Give Up .' According to the announcement, the tour will run from October 1 to October 23, visiting Boston, New York City, Wilkes-Barre, Atlanta, Orlando, Louisville, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, San Antonio, Phoenix, and Los Angeles.
