Reba McEntire born in Oklahoma, US, on March 28th March 1955 is an American country music singer, songwriter and actress.
Reba's career started in the most American way - at her high school- singing in her Kiowa High school band. Which subsequently also brought her to perform numerously at her local radio station and at rodeos that were held in her small town.
The red-headed singer's music career began in 1976 when she was signed by music label Mercury. Following the signing, she went on to release her debut single, titled, "I Don't Want to Be a One Night Stand". Disappointingly, the single was not as successful as Mercury and herself had hoped. Reaching only number 88, it flopped and failed to become a big success on the Billboard country music chart- which is what both herself and her record label had in mind.
After numerous album debuts, Reba finally made a breakthrough in 1984 when she signed with MCA Nashville Records, releasing her seventh studio album, named "Just a Little Love".
The singer from Oklahoma has gone on to have masses of success, issuing over 30 studio albums. Her success did not end there as she, impressively, then went on to storm an amazing acting career in television and on Broadway.
The country singer is thought of as one of American country music's most treasured entertainers and one of the most powerful female vocalists. Reba McEntire proves anyone can make it, no matter how small your home-town is.
Live reviews
Reba McEntire is one of the most charismatic women in country and although it is a genre of ten dominated by men, McEntire's beautiful tones stand solid during her live show. She has amassed a huge following and fan base over her career that now spans almost forty years and she really knows how to own the stage.
With such a timeless voice and an album discography that stands at nearly 30, she has to be very intelligent with the material selected at it is assured that each audience member will have a personal favourite album and single. Reba is a clever performer in the way she merges classic tracks such as 'Somebody' 'Till You Love Me' and 'Whoever's In New England' in a medley style fashion whilst never slipping up on lyrics as the songs seamlessly weave into one and other.
Her band boldly begins the percussive introduction to 'I'm a Survivor' and Reba evokes cheers from the crowds before encouraging them to sing and sway along. As she takes her final bows during the final tones of 'Turn On The Radio' the audience applaud wildly for the show this classic star has performed.

I've been listening to Reba McEntire ever since I was a little kid thanks in large part to my mother who used every chance she got to play country in the car with my older brother and I.
At first I didn't understand the appeal of songs and country in general, but after some time I got attached to the sound and have loved it ever since.
Listening to Reba is different then listening to other female country artist because she has a voice that moves up and down ever so slightly when she sings.
The greatest part about the show for me however wasn't the songs themselves, but rather the deep pride that Reba showed to those who continued to come and see her perform even after all of these years.
To me, her music and her voice are timeless and like her protege Dolly Parton she will be an artist to be remembered for all of time. The amazing part is that even after all of these years she was still able to hold a note and project her voice just as well as she did when I was a child listening to her.
Reba is true American and a great country music artist. I saw her show in Bensalem, PA. Loved it and I love her. She has a big heart and truly loves her fans. I will be seeing her show at Wolftrap in Vienna, Virginia on July 1st. I will be meeting her at that show. Love You Reba.
Debbie Kretzing.
The concert was EPIC!!! I loved every minute of it I love the beginning of it the was her pictures was on the screen so it will prepare us I sang to every song of hers even I Hurd new songs it was the greatest night ever o also Reba waved at me
AWESOME! As always. Brooks and Dunn were terrific too. This was our second trip to Vegas to see them and they DO NOT disappoint. Was hoping for an extra song or two since it was the last night of this tour, but still very satisfying!!
Amazing. Absolutely love her. Definitely want to see her again. She puts on a fantastic show. We had amazing seats and the crowd was really into the show. I liked that she played a lot of her older songs. And finished with fancy.
Omg It was so amazing last night this was my 1st time seeing Reba in 15+ years in Atlantic City omg Still gorgeous wow especially in that Red dress she came out in on the last song Fancy #1 A+
The show was awesome. Reba and Brooks and Dunn are fantastic together. Hope they make a trip St. Louis Missouri soon. One of their better shows they should continue to perform together

“I am very grateful we’re continuing this tour on into 2023,” McEntire said on her website . “I’ve had so much fun being back out on the road and doing what I love to do most, entertaining people. And now getting to headline places like Madison Square Garden and bring my buddies Terri Clark and The Isaacs with me? Well, that's just the extra icing on an already triple-layered, stuffed and filled, iced and frosted cake!"

While you're waiting for your concert, be sure to catch Reba McEntire on The Voice this season. When they walked in, they didn't have a clue. And they were just blown away by the whole thing,” Horan told NBC's Mark Barger.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.
Here’s your one chance, Reba fans, don’t let her down.
From December through April, the country legend will embark on her massive “Reba: Live In Concert Tour” that will take her to arenas all over the U.S.
To wrap up the whirlwind trek, McEntire will touch down in the Big Apple for her final show of the run at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on April 15.
Most importantly, we’re happy to report that tickets are available for all shows.
In fact, some are downright cheap, considering you’ll get to see the three-time Grammy winner strut her stuff live.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we found on tickets was $35 before fees on Vivid Seats.
Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure, and your tickets will be delivered before the event.
All prices are subject to fluctuation.
Reba will be joined by special guests Terri Clark, Jo Dee Messina and The Isaacs on select dates.
Best prices on all Reba concerts
We love Reba . You love Reba. To make your life easy, we went ahead and found the cheapest tickets available for each of her 18 upcoming gigs.
A complete calendar featuring all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found below.
(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)
Reba opening acts
As noted earlier, Reba brings along country stalwarts Terri Clark, Jo Dee Messina, and The Isaacs on her nationwide “Reba: Live In Concert Tour.”
If you’re unfamiliar with these three, take a look below to find brief bios of each artist.
Terri Clark : Active since 1995, Clark has garnered six number-one singles throughout her three-decade career. Just a few of the Canadian country star’s most seminal hits include “If I Were You,” “Poor Poor Pitiful Me,” and “Emotional Girl.”
Jo Dee Messina : Although Messina is only opening for McEntire in early December, you won’t want to miss the Massachusetts native live. After breaking out in the mid-’90s, she has evolved from a pure country singer into a hybrid country/faith-based crooner. Check out her single “Bigger Than This,” which cemented the transformation.
The Isaacs : This group is a lot of things. First of all, they’re a bluegrass Southern gospel music act. Secondly, they’re a family— literally. The Isaacs are made up of mom Lily, daughters Becky and Sonya, son Ben and son-in-law John Bowman. Want to get a taste of their sound? Their most-streamed song is the religious “For Those Tears I Died.”
How to watch or stream “Big Sky”
When Reba isn’t onstage busting out timeless hits like “Consider Me Gone,” “Going Out Like That,” or her seminal cover of “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia,” she’s starring in ABC’s third season of “Big Sky” as Sunny Barnes, a backcountry outfitter and owner of Sunny Day Excursions.
Created by David E. Kelley of “Big Little Lies” fame, “Big Sky” tells the story of ex-cop turned deputy detective Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick) solving crimes with private detectives Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) and Cody Hoyt (Ryan Phillipe) in Lewis and Clark County, Montana.
That’s really just the tip of the iceberg too.
If you want to catch up with the twisty crime drama thriller, you can stream all three seasons on Hulu now.

Reba McEntire is without doubt one of the finest women in country music history. From her strong Oklahoma roots to her outstanding history of breaking records in country music, Reba has earned her place at the top of Nashville’s pinnacle of success.
Reba McEntire Biography
Reba Nell McEntire , known simply as Reba, is more than just an American country music singer and actress; she’s a living legend, the embodiment of the heart and soul of country music. With tour dates that have resonated with fans around the world, Reba has proven time and again why she’s hailed as “the Queen of Country.” Her journey from a humble Oklahoma upbringing to the bright lights of Nashville is a story of passion, perseverance, and profound talent.
Tour Dates That Tell a Tale:
- Reba’s music has touched the hearts of millions, with over 100 singles gracing the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart since the 1970s, and an astounding 25 of those singles reaching the coveted number one spot.
- Her live shows are legendary, where fans experience the magic of her timeless hits. From the moment she steps on stage, Reba weaves a musical tapestry that captivates her audience.
Awards and Achievements:
- Grammy Award Winner for the iconic “Whoever’s in New England.”
- An unstoppable force in country music, Reba has sold over 75 million records worldwide, solidifying her status as a true country icon.
Born and raised in Oklahoma, Reba’s journey began as a young girl, singing harmonies with her siblings as “The Singing McEntires.” They performed at local events, planting the seeds of what would become an extraordinary career. Her path led her to Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she studied to be a teacher while continuing to pursue her musical dreams.
Nashville Calling:
The turning point came when the talented Red Steagall discovered Reba’s enchanting voice at a rodeo event. Steagall’s belief in her potential led to a life-changing moment. With Steagall’s help, she secured a recording contract with PolyGram/Mercury Records in 1975, embarking on her journey to Nashville.
A Musical Evolution:
While her early years with PolyGram/Mercury Records saw moderate success, it was her transition to MCA Records in 1984 that marked a new chapter. “My Kind of Country” was a game-changer, bringing two number one Billboard country singles and a shift towards a more traditional musical style.
In 1991, tragedy struck when Reba lost eight of her band members in a plane crash, leading to her critically acclaimed album, “For My Broken Heart.” This profound experience inspired her highest-selling album to date.
The Artistic Chameleon:
Reba’s career isn’t limited to music; her versatility shines in the world of acting. From her film debut in “Tremors” to her role as Annie Oakley in the Broadway musical “Annie Get Your Gun,” she’s left an indelible mark.
In 2001, “Reba,” the TV series where she starred, graced our screens, and her recent venture as a coach on “The Voice” from 2023 onwards is a testament to her timeless appeal.
Reba’s life is a true embodiment of the American dream, a tale of family, love, and unwavering dedication. Her journey from the heart of Oklahoma to the epicenter of country music in Nashville is a testament to the power of dreams and the ability to transcend boundaries.

'The Voice' coach Reba McEntire is more than her tater tots. She also has a 'ruthless' side
LOS ANGELES – With her “Okie” accent and a smile almost always taking over her face, it can be easy to underestimate “The Voice” Season 24 rookie coach Reba McEntire . But her fellow coaches – John Legend , Niall Horan and Gwen Stefani – should do so at their own risk.
During this season’s Battles (NBC, 8 EDT/PDT Mondays and Tuesdays), which begin Tuesday, the queen of country music, 68, will flex her coaching chops after duking it out with the other coaches to build their teams over seven Blind Auditions episodes. During a recent set visit to Battles rehearsals, it’s evident the newest coach’s contributions to the competition go beyond her “Reba-isms” and on-set tater tot cart.
Outfitted in knee-high cowboy boots, black pants and a black, gold and white sweater, McEntire is excited to connect with young up-and-coming artists and marvel at their talent. She’s also quick to empathize with them.
“I was nervous, also,” she tells one of the singers, who confesses to being anxious during the Blind Auditions.
After all, she’s still finding her legs on “The Voice” – just like they are. (Her fellow coaches have been been "very patient with me, which I'm very grateful for," she says, adding, "Everybody's getting along great.")
Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.
“My mentality at first in the Blind Auditions was to hit the button every time when I like somebody,” McEntire tells USA TODAY in an exclusive interview. “Kyra (Thompson) and Audrey (Morrissey), the producers, kept coming over. They said, 'You don't need to hit your button all the time. You've got to be selective.’”
McEntire was having none of it. “I said, 'I waited till four seconds (into the performance). I want this person! I'm going to get them.'”
"This bunch? So much fun": Reba chats about Blake Shelton, her coaching philosophy
Reba McEntire still gets nervous after 60 years of performing
After giving feedback to two of her Battles pairings, McEntire takes a break from taping to reflect on how she can put herself in the contestants’ shoes.
“It was hard, and it was lonely. I try not to bring that up because I do want to keep on the positive, happy side,” she says of trying to break into the music industry. “But there are so many nights you're calling home and everybody's in the kitchen cooking dinner, and you go lay back down in the bed there in the Holiday Inn and cry because you're not there and you're so homesick you can't hardly stand it. But you've got your dream and you're going forward.”
The hottest topic on set during rehearsals is how to deal with performance jitters.
“The one thing that each team asked is, 'What do you do about nerves?' That's a very honest, humbling question, because everybody does have nerves,” McEntire says. “I mean, I get nervous. But it's my job to show them a way to get around it.”
The Battles begin: Gwen Stefani and John Legend go head-to-head with a steal
Reba uses the other coaches' advice herself
She may be a veteran in the industry who can boast of membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame, but McEntire still brings a sense of humility and excitement for making the most of her experience coaching on “The Voice.”
“I played basketball, I rodeoed, and I sang. And I'm not the best. I never will be the best,” she says. “I know that. I know my limits.”
That’s what encourages her to always challenge herself: “You always want to learn new things. That was what was so much fun sitting and listening to the other coaches, what they would say to the contestants,” she says. “It just made it very interesting to apply to my own career, because you're always looking for advice yourself.”
Monday's recap: 'The Voice': Reba McEntire connects with Dylan Carter after emotional tribute to late mother
Reba shows she can be ‘ruthless’ on 'The Voice'
As the season progresses, McEntire reveals that underneath the Southern charm and tater-tot bribery is a killer instinct and a bluntness that she can employ at will.
Unfortunately for her fellow coaches, she's not afraid to use her power to block them from pitching the contestants she wants for her team. As Legend put it in an earlier episode, “Most of the time (McEntire is) a benevolent queen, but every once in a while she’ll do some ruthless, cold-blooded (and) dirty things.”
Sometimes, helping young artists hone their talent means giving them tough love. When two of her pop singers bring a slightly different version of a song than they’d rehearsed to the Battles stage, McEntire doesn’t hold back in letting them know that their choice to go off-script has consequences.
In rehearsals, two of her artists are given the daunting task of singing McEntire’s “The Heart Won’t Lie.” This marks one of the few times McEntire isn’t smiling. Knowing the 1993 single that she performed with Vince Gill all too well, her ear picks up the errors in the performance.
But she approaches the feedback with tact and class, asking the country vocalist and Nashville veteran pairing whether they changed the melody in one section on purpose. The Nashville singer admits they need to familiarize themselves with the song more and “tighten it up.”
Other than understandably being critical of a performance of one of her own songs, McEntire isn’t here to nitpick. She wants to help her artists reach new heights: “That's what I'm looking for, something that will surprise them and make them feel like, ‘Man, this was really worth doing,’” she says.
“The music and melody (are) technical things that I don't have. I'm not a perfectionist, so it doesn't really bother me if it's a little flat or sharp,” she says. “If your heart and soul is in it and I felt something, we've done our job.”

Reba McEntire Shares Photos From "Amazing" Family Vacation: "So Blessed"
The country music star traveled to Africa with boyfriend Rex Linn.
Family vacations have become a tradition for Reba and her family. Last year, they took a trip to Italy . This year, the Oklahoma native and boyfriend Rex Linn ventured to Africa, and she shared photos of their adventures on Instagram. Rex and Reba were joined by Reba's son, Shelby Blackstock, and Shelby's wife, Marissa.
Reba shared photos of her family at sunset, a sweet snap of her and Rex holding hands, photos with their guide, and more. She captioned the post, "Of all the places in the world I have been so blessed to visit, Africa tops the list. The animals are totally amazing, but it’s the people that I left part of my heart with. #ICant wait to go back and catch it beating. I miss it so…"
Reba's fans left messages like, "I love y’all still take family vacations together! ❤," "What an awesome adventure, it's definitely on my bucket list ❤️," and "On my bucket list for sure. So glad y’all got to go!!" Melissa Peterman, her costar from Reba and Happy's Place, left a series of red heart emojis.
We're excited to see Reba (and Rex!) back on our televisions this fall, but, in the meantime, we love to see these candid family moments.

'The Voice' Coach Reba McEntire Shuts Down Rumors of a Feud With Taylor Swift
Reba McEntire is setting the record straight after a news story and Twitter post claimed she confronted Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl. The rumors alleged by the post have no factual basis, but the misinformation has been gaining traction online. Reba took to Instagram to clear her name and warn fans not to fall for the lies spread by the outlet.
"Please don’t believe everything you see on the Internet. I did not say this. Taylor is a wonderful artist, strong role model and has done so much good for so many people and the music industry," the "I'm a Survivor" singer wrote on Instagram.
The post by America Loves Liberty claimed that Reba scolded Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl after seeing her "making a mockery" of her National Anthem performance on February 11. Reba kicked off the Super Bowl Sunday broadcast with her outstanding performance, and the night ended with Taylor Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce's team, the Kansas City Chiefs, winning the Super Bowl.
"Reba McIntire [sic] talks about how disappointed she was to look up at the big screen while performing The National Anthem, only to see Taylor Swift laughing and drinking and making a mockery of the event. 'I let her have it afterward. She’s an entitled little brat,'" the false post reads.
Of course, loyal Reba fans know this isn't something she would do, the damage was done nonetheless. Country music fans ran to the comments of Reba's post to defend her and offer sympathy. "Anybody who has actually been a Reba fan for a minute now would KNOW Reba would never act like that. With gentle hands and the heart of a fighter..... She's a survivor,"
"As soon as I saw this stupid story, I knew it was lies. @reba leads the industry with class, she would never do anything like this. People need to get a life" and "SET EM STRAIGHT, RED👏👏👏," fans wrote. "They spelled your name McIntire. So made up story AND a lazy proofreader! 😂," Reba's Young Sheldon co-star, Melissa Peterman, chimed in.
The America Loves Liberty account responded to Reba's post beneath their initial Twitter post. "Oh my. Reba McEntire herself responded to our nonsense. Thank you, Ma’am. We love your work. The article is as silly as the headline for a reason. It’s not supposed to be believable. Your fans were staunchly on your side long before this post," the account owner posted. Whether or not they intended their post to be believable or not, Reba and her fans are clearly not pleased.
Take it from Reba: not everything on the internet is true, so watch out!
