Sunwing Vacations is always ready to help your mutual clients – so you don’t have to! So says the tour company’s VP of Sales & Business Development, Deana Murphy, who told top agents recently at the company’s annual Christmas lunch with RIU that “we have a wonderful team in every destination, and they are there to help.”

Noting that Sunwing has hundreds of thousands of clients travelling to the sun in the next few months, Murphy further urged agents to tell their clients to register on its app before they get to destination in case they’re in need of assistance. Agents and clients can also go to SunwingCares.ca.

“We can help clients immediately,” said Murphy. “If they’re in Jamaica (their request) goes right to the Jamaica destination team at NexusTours. “And you,” she laughed, “don’t get that 10 p.m. phone call!”

Murphy says in-destination support is able to help 24/7 through the Sunwing app, SunwingCares.ca, and knowledgeable in-destination management company partner at NexusTours, adding, “We’re truly with clients every step of the way.”

And with winter season off to a “roaring start,” at least north of Toronto where Murphy lives, the VP said, “It’s always good to have the snow and cold for motivation for clients to head south. And the momentum of the business is really ramping up.”

With this in mind, she said, don’t forget to encourage clients to download the Sunwing app – and “remind customers to use this valuable resource!”

What compensation should you get if your flight is delayed or cancelled?

Thousands of Sunwing passengers are still hoping they'll be able to salvage their holidays down south as the airline tries to deal with system wide technical problems affecting it’s check-in and boarding procedures.

As the chaos and confusion continues at airports across Canada, some passengers are complaining their trips are being cut short by days, or completely cancelled, while others have been stranded at resorts down south waiting for answers.

Rory Maguire was waiting at Toronto Person International Airport to go to Cuba when his flight was rescheduled nine times. He finally got on a plane today, 30 hours after his flight was to leave, and said Sunwing did provide him and his girlfriend with food and a hotel room.

"We got food at the airport, they fed us dinner, and they did give us a hotel room last night, which was great to have a place to lay our heads," Maguire said.

After passengers flooded Sunwing with complaints about the delays the Sunwing tweeted this afternoon "All impacted passengers with flight delays over three hours will be compensated."

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) said Tuesday under provincial law if a flight is delayed more than a day the passenger could be entitled to a full refund.

"If a consumer's travel is delayed by 24 hours or more under provincial regulations our provincial legislation requires a full and immediate refund to the customer," TICO President Richard Smart said.

TICO said an airline may also provide other options to passengers instead of a refund, such as a voucher or another form of compensation, if a flight is delayed or cancelled but the traveller must agree to the terms.

Under federal rules, the airline may have to pay out $500 to $1,000 for unexpected delays and out of pocket expenses.

Gabor Lukacs, the President of Air Passenger Rights, said getting that money is not always easy and sometimes travellers have to go to small claims court to get the compensation they deserve.

"The airline has to pay compensation under the air passenger protection regulations for the passengers inconvenience," said Lukacs. "The biggest problem we are facing in Canada is a lack of enforcement."

While many passengers will have purchased trip cancellation insurance, Martin Firestone, the president of Travel Secure, said it’s the airline that will have to pay the compensation in this instance.

"These passengers entire week has been disrupted and some of them may not actually go on their vacation. Time will tell how Sunwing will deal with this," said Firestone.

Sunwing also said today customers can make a one time change to their departure date with no added fees.

Anyone with a Sunwing flight over the next few days is being told to check their flight status before going to the airports and to watch Sunwing's website for more information.

Update on holiday travel disruptions for sunwing customers back to video.

Like many Canadians, we dreamed this holiday would be a return to normal. We planned our highest travel schedule since pre-pandemic and invested significantly to mitigate the potential risks that would come with meeting the high demand for travel over our peak winter season.

While most of our customers enjoyed their holidays with minimal disruption, we had clear failures in execution, particularly in responding to weather-related delays and the aftermath of severe weather disruptions, which limited our ability to reposition aircraft and crew to other airports to help alleviate the backlog in flights. Whereas several larger carriers faced similar issues in the spring and summer over their first peak travel season since the pandemic, we are facing those challenges and obstacles during our peak season this winter. As a carrier scaling up to meet our highest demand in years, we built an achievable plan which, due to a confluence of factors, we could no longer deliver, and we regret that we did not meet the level of service our customers expect from Sunwing.

In response to the factors mentioned above, we took several measures to mitigate further delays for our customers during the holidays. This included subservicing aircraft from several airline partners to repatriate those in destination with significant delays. Our teams worked around the clock to return customers home, while providing customers in destination with hotel accommodations, food and beverage, and airport transfers, regardless of the reason for the delay.

We have completed all recovery flights related to the holiday disruption and have a roadmap in place to ensure that these issues do not repeat themselves in January or any of the months that follow. This includes proactively working on a mitigation plan to address some technical issues with flight alert notifications and enhancing the communication flow to our customers in destination through the collaboration and support of our airline and destination management teams. We have also reduced some capacity during the month of January to ensure that we can execute to the highest standards with the least disruption to customers as we move through the winter season.

We also understand our obligations under Canada’s Air Passenger Protection Regulations and will ensure full compliance with these regulations.

We are actively accepting eligible claims for compensation. Customers may submit their claims for review at https://www.sunwing.ca/en/sunwing-airlines/delay-claim/ . In addition, customers may submit receipts for related expenses incurred in destination to Sunwing Cares at www.sunwing.ca/en/sunwing-cares  for review. This includes submitting receipts for reasonable expenses to purchase necessities due to baggage delays stemming from a baggage belt issue at Toronto Pearson International Airport, which impacted select customers that travelled between December 24-27, 2022. We also continue to actively work to reunite customers who travelled during this period with their baggage in a timely fashion.

We know that we cannot replace the time lost or disruption experienced during this holiday season, but we would like to reassure our customers that we are committed to doing better and regaining their trust in the weeks and months ahead. We will continue to provide updates on this important work.

Through our unwavering commitment to making vacation dreams come true, we hope to show Canadians what a Sunwing vacation truly feels like, and thank our customers for their patience and understanding as our teams worked tirelessly to overcome these operational hurdles in recent weeks.

Sunwing updates communications about new travel regulations

Post date: Oct 29 2021

Date: Oct 29 2021

By: Travelweek Group

TORONTO — Sunwing is making it easier for both customers and travel agents to navigate the new federal vaccination requirements for Canadian air travel, which come into effect on Oct. 30 .

The company has sent out numerous email reminders to both customers and agents explaining the new requirements, in addition to updating its Travel Requirements page on Sunwing.ca with a helpful pre-departure checklist, as well as updating the Sunwing Agent portal. Requirements about vaccination requirements can also be found within the booking path, the Travel Advisories page, eDocs, confirmation emails and within the new Sunwing app.

“As demonstrated by the government lifting the advisory against non-essential travel for fully vaccinated Canadians, vaccinations are a critical tool in helping our industry rebound and return stronger than ever before,” commented Andrew Dawson, President of Tour Operations at Sunwing. “We’re dedicated to making the travel process frictionless and stress-free every step of the way and are in constant communication with our customers and agency partners. With simplified information on travel requirements, we’re hoping to show Canadians that returning to paradise is easy under our wing.”

Sunwing’s Corporate Vaccination Policy

Sunwing’s new mandatory vaccination policy for new and existing employees, previously announced last month , is in line with the new federal regulations. As part of the policy, all employees, including those working from home on a part-time or full-time basis, must be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment, with limited exemptions.

According to Kelly Davis, Chief People Officer at Sunwing Travel Group, the response to the policy has been overwhelmingly positive.

“After over a year and a half of living through this pandemic, our passionate and customer-centric employees are eager to do whatever it takes to help support our beloved industry,” said Davis. “Vaccinations have proven to be the most effective tool in reducing the spread of COVID-19 and, in turn, supporting the revival of our sector. To date, 96.7% of our Canadian employees are within compliance of the policy and we are grateful for our EPIC team’s support of our industry’s recovery.”

Sunwing-Riu Vacations drowned in incompetence and ignorance.

The purchase of Sunwing by Westjet did nothing to improve the airline. From long delays, uncomfortable seats, no service - not even water, poor communications, agents not knowing what they are doing and a partnership with Riu to complement the disarray and utter disrespect of guests, Riu-Sunwing-Westjet should be grounded and left to annuls or worse customer experience.

Sunwing's customer service is horrible

Do not fly with Sunwing Vacations. They have the worst customer service. Take months to reply to any concerns/complaints. Customer service is horrible. Fly any other airline, you will be much happier. Sunwing wrecked our vacation and did not even have the courtesy to call as requested.

Grand Park Royal Cancun

Grand Park Royal, Luxury hotel in Cancun. Food was horrible, and they served me a nice bowl of Food Poisoning via room service. . I was in bed writhing in pain for the last 4 days of my vacation. Staff, completely unresponsive. The beds are hard, there are no bathtubs, the beach is down a huge flight of stairs. and there are no bathrooms on the beach. So you have to climb those stairs every time. Not enough outdoor seating for everyone, and very little shade around the adults only pool. (no umbrellas). The hot tub is beside the family pool, and was filled with toddlers the entire trip.

6 hour delay

Let me start by saying that after 5 years of not travelling due to health reasons our first flight with Sunwing was a really bad experience! Lies after lies after lies, couldn’t find their crew, imagine that, and they actually announced this nonsense, and therefore a six hour delay! First it was a 3 hour delay, then more delays, then the plane finally arrived from Toronto they said but guess what? They announced they couldn’t find their crew———— imagine that????? Finally after a 6 hour delay we boarded. Remember they said our plane was coming from Toronto? Well a frustrated pilot announced that they had come in from Hamilton. My booking number was 135318223, my flight was 4122! They’ve replied saying we aren’t allowed any compensation because there was technical issues and it was for our safety———what a way to cover yourselves! Where is the customer service? All I wanted was a decent, respectful experience, reasonable delays are okay but this was not reasonable! You need to do something sunwing and a $50 certificate by mail doesn’t cut it! Until never!

Price changes from search to checkout? Illegal

I have been trying to get an answer from sun wing as to how their lowest price calculator works. It seems to be a bait and switch scenario to me. I search for a single passenger for it all inclusive resort in the month I want to travel. I pick the week it says one price, when I go to book it says I have to book two people. Even though at the top of the page it's showing I'm searching for a single Traveler. They could at least be honest and say it's a website mistake but they deny there is a problem. Apparely its MY fault for not understanding the calculator is based on double occupancy?. You can't get past the customer service rep to reach a manager or escalate your inquiry. They are rude, unhelpful and they definitely "don't care" as per their tagline "Sunwing Cares".

Sunwing is hands down THE worst airline…

Sunwing is hands down THE worst airline I’ve ever flown with in my life. I had to re-book my flight home, the agent wrote on the paper that I don’t have to pay OOP, yet I was STILL by an agent who promised me I would be reimbursed when I returned home. Then, 2 years later an agent reaches out to me about my claim. I provide the written proof, my invoice, and this Fiathe M still won’t reimburse me. You guys are thief’s and I’m coming after you until that money is put back in my account.

Left stranded in Cuba when their systems went down with zero communication. Had to sleep on the floor in the lobby of the hotel. The next morning there was still no news and no Sunwing rep available, no answer from their online system so we booked flights on the next available AC flight home. We sued in Small Claim Court, had our Settlement Hearing and Sunwing refused to give us what is owning under the APPR. We are waiting for our date in court. You’re not above the law Sunwing! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

My wife and I were robbed in a Sunwing…

My wife and I were robbed in a Sunwing transfer bus. Last September, I had the worst experience ever with Sunwing Vacations. It's been eight months since I first contacted them in re to my trip from Sept 9-13th, 2023. I have been patient and have tried to get rid of the frustration that it has caused to my wife and me. Eight months have passed and the so-called Sunwing Customer Care are still "investigating". I know what customer service is all about because I run a place where we have thousands of thousands of clients/members. But before this, I also did a lot of investigations as a Destination Rep for Air Transat, Signature Vacations. However, the way they have handled this case is discombobulating, it would have negatively baffled the shyest customer. However, I am not really surprised after reading the reviews Sunwing has in the major platforms. It's a real shame how embarrassing the reviews are. The follow-up to what we experienced after been robbed by their own business partners has been traumatic and distressing, to say the least. To add insult to injury, you have been instrumental in this embarrassing scenario for such a huge company, though I understand that the size of an enterprise is not measured by its physical size, but by its care and respect for its customers or clients. Their follow-up after we communicated to them that we had been robbed has been extremely poor. To the point that they have replied to us with an email they had to send to another disgruntled client, What a faulty communication chain. Customer Service doesn't care about clients!! They have asked or requested all sorts of information, including a notarized letter which I had to pay for, and used my personal time to satisfy your "demands", such is the case. Regarding our losses, the time we have invested in back-and-forth emails, but mainly because of our frustrations, it all translates into an atrocious experience for us. But I promise you that due to the fact that at the beginning I could have never imagined that today we would have still been at sea, I will use my time to let people know how you treat your customers.

The Worst Experience

The Worst Experience. Family spend over $50k on Dreams Resort Natura. I booked my trip for Dreams Resort Aventura - accidentally - as the names are so similar (absolutely my fault). I immediately contacted Sunwing re: the error. I explained the situation. The exact words: "Our hands are tied" "Nothing we can do" "Your fault" "non transferable - so you cannot sell either" "Even though both Dreams resorts..... they will not allow unless you buy another package worth $8,000" "you cannot just get a hotel room". I will now have to travel 2 hours a day to meet up with my family at Dreams Natura - when I am not even sure whether they will let me see my family at the resort. What a mess. In conclusion, horrible experience before I even get there. I paid top dollar for this travelling experience. There was no real deal. Approximately $8k.

Grand Memories, Holguín, Cuba

We went to Grand Memories in Holguín, Cuba. We were checked in, through the Diamond Club (reservations). Our representative - Julio Cesar, was always checking in/on us. He was very attentive, asking about our kids (experiences), as well. He made sure that any concern was dealt with. The grounds were well maintained, by the maintenance staff. The garden view from our room, was really nice. The beach was beautiful. The food was good. Fresh fruit and vegetables were always available. Fresh ingredient options were prepared right in front of us. Our poolside server, Adrianna, was polite, friendly and always had a smile on her face. She is a beautiful person. We will miss her. This was a great value. It was our first all-inclusive experience.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. And we have not even travelled yet. We had our whole family books rooms through their website. We wanted to make a change and add ONE child traveller the morning after, and the representative gave us so much attitude without hearing us out. Not only could we not add the traveller without adding an additional $5000+ worth of fees, but they added ridiculous fees onto our original Trip! Their attitude is “it’s your fault”

Update on holiday travel disruptions for sunwing customers.

Stephen Hunter

Len Corrado

TORONTO, Jan. 05, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sunwing was founded on a promise to help make Canadians’ vacation dreams come true with affordable all inclusive getaways to dozens of highly rated vacation destinations. We are astutely aware that, for too many Canadians, we failed to live up to that promise this holiday season. We are incredibly sorry for letting our customers down.

Flying Sunwing Airlines with Babies, Toddlers & Young Children

Sunwing Airlines is a Canadian low-cost charter airline. They fly out of over 33 airports across Canada and the USA to over 45 of the most popular vacation destinations across the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and Florida. Sunwing also offers seasonal winter and summer domestic flight services across Canada, from Saint John to Victoria and everywhere in between.

They were recently acquired by Westjet .

Their in-flight service includes a complimentary sparkling wine toast, and non-alcoholic beverage service. String bags filled with games and toys are handed out to children. Food Network Canada Celebrity Chef Lynn Crawford consulted on Sunwing ‘s buy-on-board selection of light meals and snacks.

Sunwing Carry-On Baggage Allowances:

As a  fare-paying passenger, you are allowed to bring on board one carry-on item ($25 fee) and one personal item. Your carry-on item must not be heavier than 5kg ((11 lbs) and cannot be larger than 23 cm x 40 cm x 51 cm (9″ x 16″ x 20″). Soft-sided bags are recommended. Any items that exceed the weight and/or size limit must be checked and excess baggage fees will apply.

You can pre-book and pre-pay your carry-on item in advance or at the airport.

Complimentary Personal Item

A personal item is considered to be a purse, messenger bag, laptop bag (holding a laptop and related items), or camera bag (holding photographic equipment only).

If you are traveling with an infant (older than eight days, under 24mos.) you may also bring on board a diaper bag (holding only items for the care of an infant) but it must fall within the weight and size restrictions.

Sunwing Checked Baggage Allowances:

If your Sunwing flight is part of a Sunwing Vacations package, your first checked bag, up to 23 kilograms (50 lbs), is free. If you’ve upgraded to Elite Plus , your max bag weight is 30kg (65 lbs). A second checked bag is $70 each way if paid more than 48 hours before departure, and $90 if it’s less than 48 hours prior. Overweight and/or oversize bags (bicycles, scuba gear, golf clubs, etc.) will cost CAD $115 each way to check and cannot be booked in advance.

If your Sunwing flight is air-only, your first checked bag will run you CAD $50 each way if you book more than 48 hours before your flight. The cost is $70 if less than 48 hours before your flight. A second checked bag is $70 each way if paid more than 48 hours before departure, and $90 if it’s less than 48 hours prior.

Lap infants are not granted additional free checked bags. However, you are allowed to check two complimentary items such as a stroller , car seat ( please don’t check your car seat! ), or playpen.

Sunwing Check In Procedure:

You can begin Sunwing’s web check in process 12 hours before your flight, up to 60 minutes before departure. You must have your valid passport with you and at the airport you will drop off your luggage at the Sunwing Check-in or Bag Drop counter. With web check in, you can check-in for your flight, choose your seats, and get your boarding pass via email. You can’t purchase extra baggage, you’ll have to do that in person at the airport .

Advance seat selection is CAD $20 for regular seats and $30 for “Preferred.” Elite Plus seats are included in the $50 upgrade.

Sunwing recommends arriving at the airport three hours before your flight’s scheduled departure time. Sunwing check in can be incredibly busy. Even three hours prior to our flights the line-up has been a mile long!

Sunwing Elite Plus:

When you’re flying with kids, Sunwing ‘s baggage and seat selection options can feel restrictive and could end up costing you a lot of extras in fees if you go over. Sunwing ‘s Elite Plus service is an extra $100 per person round trip ($50 one way) and that may be money well-spent if you consider the extras it buys you.

With Sunwing Elite Plus , you receive roughly six extra inches of extra leg room, free advance seat selection, priority check-in, boarding, baggage handling, and security line access. That alone right there is worth $50 to my husband! Also, the extra 5kg (11lbs) of baggage allowance really adds up.

It’s outrageously expensive to upgrade on most airlines. For most it’s simply not an option to do so. Honestly, for us, just bypassing the lines at the airport with Elite Plus is worth the cost right there.

Sunwing Airlines, Sunwing Flight, Sunwing with a baby, sunwing with a toddler

Flying Sunwing with a Baby or Toddler:

Policies for infants & children on sunwing flights.

Sunwing does not offer discounted airfare for children. However, they are a remarkably family-friendly airline in many ways. They offer a small bag of toys (the bag itself comes in handy during some trips) and the ability to check baby items as luggage for free is unusual these days.

An infant is considered a baby who is over seven days-old and not yet turned two. Be warned that Sunwing ‘s regular seats are very small. Unless you are small yourself or have upgraded to Elite Plus , flying with a lap infant on Sunwing is quite cramped indeed!

Sunwing offers onboard bottle warming and baby food warming facilities (only un-opened food in a sealed jar). But they don’t carry infant meals or baby milk onboard. I have been able to get a bottle filled with regular milk, which was much appreciated on flights back from Cuba ! ( My son was not a fan of Cuban milk ).

There are no airplane bassinets available on any Sunwing flights.

Lap Infants on Sunwing Flights:

As a Canadian airline, Sunwing is beholden to guidelines set out by Transport Canada . As per Canadian aviation regulations, only one infant is permitted per bank of seats. Additionally, only one infant is permitted to travel with each guardian. No infants are permitted in the emergency row.

The following devices are not approved for use as child restraint systems on an aircraft:

  • Booster seats (for older children who have outgrown their car seat) are not approved for use as child restraint systems on an aircraft, as they are designed to be used with a car lap and shoulder belt.
  • Child vests and harnesses, infant carriers, and other similar carriers are not approved for use as child restraint systems on an aircraft, as they may not be used when the aircraft is moving on the ground, during takeoff and landing or when the safety belt sign is on
  • “Belly” or “loop” belts, intended for infant use and attached to an adult’s safety belt by feeding the adult’s belt segments through a loop on the infant’s belt are not approved for use as child restraint systems on an aircraft. They could injure the infant in case of an accident.

Using Car Seats on Sunwing Flights:

If you have purchased a seat for your baby, you may bring a car seat onboard as a complimentary carry-on item. The car seat must be approved by the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS). The sticker CMVSS 213 or 213.1 must appear on the car seat. If your car seat is from the US, the label must include the following text in red lettering: “This child restraint system conforms to all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards” and “This Restraint is Certified for Use in Motor Vehicles and Aircraft”

Additionally, the CARES harness is approved for use aboard Sunwing flights.

Our Review of Flying Sunwing Airlines with Baby:

Our flight to Santa Clara, Cuba on Sunwing Airlines was scheduled for 6:15am. While I am no stranger to surviving early flights with baby , this would be a REALLY early flight and our first Sunwing with baby and pre-schooler experience. Luckily my pre-schooler was so excited that she bounded out of bed at 3A.M. The baby had already inexplicably been up since 1:30A.M. (and so had Mama!). This would officially be my first travel day since the olden days where I would be operating on one hour of sleep. In the olden days I’d stay up all night by choice!

Our very first trip with baby was with a charter–Skyservice–which had since gone out of business. While we found that experience surprisingly pleasant, their seat pitch + my 6’7″ husband + a lap baby = a VERY uncomfortable flight. My husband literally did not fit in the seats. Our daughter was almost whacked in the head in the head several times by an inconsiderate passenger in a seat that technically reclined, even though there was no room to do so.

Sunwing Elite Plus Upgrade, Worth It?

So the first thing I did when I realized we’d be flying Sunwing Airlines with baby, is fork over an additional $100 each for their Elite Plus upgrade : an additional six inches of legroom (from 29″ seat pitch to 35″) plus various pre-boarding advantages, check in privileges, extra baggage weight, and even priority security line access at certain airports. We arrived at the airport at 4 A.M. and faced a line-up way down the terminal. My husband said it was worth the 300 bucks right there not to have to wait in that line.

Sunwing Airlines Service:

The service on Sunwing Airlines there and back was excellent – very friendly – and I appreciated (although probably didn’t need) the free glass of champagne. On the flight back, there was a change table in the washroom at the front of the plane (even the flight attendant was surprised). They also had milk for Bub’s bottle. When we flew home from Jamaica on WestJet a few months back, Bub drained his bottle and could’ve used more. WestJet did not have plain milk and I was sorely tempted to use the little ones meant for coffee to make up a bottle! (Although, I must add that WestJet with baby is really very good!)

There is no seat-back entertainment on Sunwing Airlines , but with the extra legroom Bub was able to play on the floor for a bit.

It feels unusual to be served meals on a flight these days, but some charters still do. We had breakfast on the way down, and lunch on the way back. The distraction of food always helps kill time on flights. And the penne with roasted vegetables was actually yummy! Free wine with lunch! ( Ed. note: Sunwing no longer serves complimentary meals on their flights. They pretty much follow the same paid menu as most other airlines. )

Sunwing Baggage Allotments:

When traveling with a lap infant on Sunwing Airlines , you are not allotted any additional baggage allowance beyond a diaper bag with the essentials. But, you are allowed to check two pieces per person so you can include your travel crib  and additional baby gear . There was no issue gate-checking our stroller .

Each fare paying passenger is allowed a free combined baggage allowance (checked and carry–on combined) of 25kg per passenger. Elite Plus passengers are allowed a free combined baggage allowance of 35kg per fare paying passenger. All paying passengers may travel with up to two pieces of checked baggage and one carry-on bag. We had an additional diaper bag with us.

So I am happy to say that our experience on Sunwing Airlines with a baby was a positive one! The additional $300 for the upgrade to Elite Plus added more than 15% to the cost of our trip. But, we thought it was well worth it.

What a fantasticly timely post. I’m just about to book a flight down to Puerto Vallarta to see W’s parents and was concerned by the fact that Sunwing’s site says you can only bring baby items for infants with a paying seat. I have no issue keeping us to one bag each so we can check the carseat!

' src=

At least they have a two bag per passenger rule, so the car seat can qualify as one. We had no issues gate checking our stroller, and we actually gate checked our daughter’s booster seat on the way down as well.

' src=

If we are take this airplane seats so is it allow in plane by any airlines?because i heard that they don’t allowed this airplane seat in plane.

Have you ever used / installed the car seat on a flight? I have a 213.1 certified car seat and plan to do so on a flight to Bahamas. I just have standard seat package and would appreciate any advice.

“If a seat has been purchased for an infant, you will be entitled to bring along a car seat (to be used as a restraint device) onboard the aircraft. The infant will have to remain in the car seat whenever the seat belt sign is illuminated. The car seat must be approved by the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS). The sticker CMVSS 213 or 213.1 must appear on the car seat and the car seat must be manufactured after 1981. US manufactured car seats with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard sticker FMVSS 213 are also permitted for use as a restraint device.”
