Tour de Cure is our premier cycling event for all ages and abilities. Chose the course that best suits you, your family, friends, and coworkers. All the routes will be fully supported with bike mechanics, volunteer route marshals, rest stops with food and water, cheering volunteers and more.

Choose your distance and know that every mile helps make a difference. Whether you choose to ride in person or virtually, all the roads we take lead to the same destination to fundraise for a cure. You can also earn fundraising recognition gifts.

The Tour Center is an incredible tool that provides riders the ability to raise funds online, communicate with friends and family on why they ride through email and Facebook, check their fundraising progress, access training tips and utilize our incredible fundraising tools

Why Fundraise Online?

Online fundraising is a great way to reach out to your friends and family and give them the opportunity to support your efforts. Online fundraising tends to bring in four times the amount that offline fundraising does. Additionally, people that give online tend to give higher donations (because they can give what they want to, rather than just what is in their pocket at that time). That means that this is a great way to fundraise and reach new goals.

American Diabetes Association’s “Tour de Cure” returned in-person for 2022

WEBSTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Officials from the American Diabetes Association held their annual ‘Tour de Cure’ fundraising event in-person Saturday.

The event was held at Xerox Campus and organizers said riders from the Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse and Albany regions united for the second year to raise funds for diabetes research, education and advocacy.

Officials encouraged participants to commit to in-person participation, fundraise for the 34 million Americans who have diabetes, and to celebrate their participation via social media.

“We’re beyond excited to welcome riders from across Upstate New York in person after two years of participating virtually due to the pandemic,” said Executive Director Jeff Collins. “This is the first time that riders will gather in person since the four communities joined forces last year.”

The Tour de Cure was founded in Buffalo in 1991 with it’s main purpose to bring thousands of riders across America to raise funds to support diabetes research and to educate and advocate for people who live with diabetes, as well as their families.

Join us for the Tour de Cure, a premier cycling experience and the only cycling event supporting all people living with diabetes. Riding in the Tour de Cure is an experience you will never forget. The event is well organized and has routes available for all ages and abilities.

It Starts With You!

When you register for the Tour de Cure, you become a part of the American Diabetes Association’s largest fundraising event. Joining you will be thousands of participants from around the country who come together to directly impact the lives of people facing the daily challenges of diabetes and their loved ones.

When you register:

• You’re raising awareness in your community about diabetes
• You’re supporting life-saving research
• You’re helping people who are discriminated against because they have diabetes

2024 Tour de France: How to watch, schedule, odds for cycling's top race

The biggest cycling event of the year - the 111th Tour de France -- kicks off Saturday from Florence, Italy. The 2024 Tour de France's unusual route starts in Italy for the first time ever to honor 100 years since the first Italian victory in the Tour by Ottavio Bottecchia in 1924. Also, due to the 2024 Summer Olympics, the Tour de France will not finish in Paris for the first time in event history.

The 21 stages will cover more than 2,000 miles from Saturday through July 21. Two-time defending winner Jonas Vingegaard looks to become just the ninth cyclist to win at least three Tour de France races. Last year's runner-up, Tadej Pogačar, is looking to do the same. He won in 2020 and 2021 before finishing second to Vingegaard in 2022 and 2023.
