Trevor Noah to perform in India for the first time, announces date for his Off The Record tour

Trevor noah will soon be performing seven shows in india as part of the off the record tour..

South African stand-up comedian, host and producer Trevor Noah will bring his Off The Record tour to India in September. The renowned comedian will be performing seven shows as part of his first performance in India. The comedian’s visit to the country will be his first stop in Asia.

Trevor will be performing seven shows during the Indian leg of his tour. His shows will be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Delhi-NCR on September 22-24, followed by Manpho Convention Centre, Bengaluru on September 27-28, coming to an end with at the NSCI Dome, Mumbai on September 30 and October 1.

Commenting on his India Tour, Trevor said in a statement, “After a lifetime of loving India’s culture, I’m so excited to finally have the privilege of bringing my current stand-up comedy tour to one of the most exciting countries in the world!” BookMyShow Live is producing the tour.

Trevor is known to be fond of Indian culture and has several times mentioned in his gigs about the influence of Indian culture in his life in the formative years. His satirical jokes revolve around the British invasion of India and Indian curries. During his time as the host of The Daily Show, the host brought up several Indian political and socially relevant issues to the limelight. He announced his departure from the show in September 2022 after seven years of association citing his love and eagerness to do more stand-up comedy.

The comedian and former host of The Daily Show has so far produced 12 special comedy shows including Trevor Noah: Lost in Translation, Afraid of the Dark and I Wish You Would.  The exclusive pre-sale of tickets for Off The Record show for all Kotak credit card holders will begin on August 1 at 6 pm on BookMyShow. General on-sale of tickets will go live starting August 3 at 6 pm on the platform.

Trevor novah, who hosted 'the daily show' until september 2022, will perform seven shows in india which would be spread across three cities as part of his 'off the record' tour..

His first stop in India will be New Delhi where he will perform at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from September 22 to 24. The second show will take place at the Manpho Convention Centre in Bengaluru on September 27 and 28 and the third city where Novah will perform in will be Mumbai, where his show will take place at the NSCI Dome on September 30 and October 1.

"After a lifetime of loving India’s culture, I’m so excited to finally have the privilege of bringing my current stand-up comedy tour to one of the most exciting countries in the world!" Novah said in a statement.

Novah's visit to India will be as part of the "Off The Record" tour. He has spoken many times about the influence of Indian culture, when he growing up, in his gigs. As the host of "The Daily Show", Novah made references to many socially relevant issues concerning India.

Novah left the show after seven years as he wanted to do more stand-up comedy. The general on-sale of tickets for the show will go live on BookMyShow from August 3 at 6 pm. Noah will perform in Dubai after India.

PGA TOUR University On TOUR:  John Pak, Frederik Kjettrup add to alumni victory count

Two PGA TOUR University alumni – and also Florida State alums – won last weekend, with John Pak winning the Korn Ferry Tour’s Compliance Solutions Championship and Frederik Kjettrup winning in his debut on PGA TOUR Americas at The Beachlands Victoria Open presented by Times Colonist. It marked the first time two PGA TOUR University alumni won on the same weekend, and alumni have now combined for 21 professional victories since the first class turned pro in June 2021.

The story was similar on PGA TOUR Americas – Kjettrup built a three-shot cushion through three rounds, and a long birdie putt on No. 17 in the final round proved to be the difference in a one-shot victory over Mateo Fernandez de Oliveira . Though Kjettrup made his pro debut at the U.S. Open, he joins Adrien Dumont de Chassart and Ricky Castillo as alumni who won his first start on his member tour.

On the PGA TOUR, Michael Thorbjornsen made his professional debut at the Travelers Championship after finishing No. 1 in the PGA TOUR University Class of 2024. For the first two rounds, Thorbjornsen was paired with Ludvig Åberg , the top player from the Class of 2023, and he carded a second-round 64 to enter the weekend T24. Thorbjornsen closed with rounds of 66-70 and finished T39.

Also last week, the final men’s Olympic Golf Ranking was published, and three PGA TOUR University alumni were among the 60 qualifiers. Ludvig Åberg (Sweden), Adrien Dumont de Chassart (Belgium) and Kevin Yu (Chinese Taipei) qualified to make their Olympic debuts and represent their countries at Paris 2024, August 1-4 at Le Golf National.
