Children Extra - what am I covered for?

Parenting course: €50 contribution to a course.

We will contribute towards the cost of a parenting course or programme. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

Child sports club membership: €30 contribution

We will contribute towards your child’s sports club membership. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

Child/Teen counselling: 50% up to €40 x 8 visits

If your child needs someone to talk to, this benefit allows you to claim back some of the cost of child or teen counselling carried out by a psychologist or psychotherapist.

Child/Teen orthodontics: €100 cash benefit

If your child needs to visit a orthodontist we will contribute towards theses costs. Your child needs to be a member on a plan with this benefit. The orthodontist must be registered as an Orthodontist with the Dental Council of Ireland. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

Meningitis B / Chicken Pox Vaccines: €50 contribution

We will contribute towards the cost of Meningitis B and Chicken Pox vaccines should your child need them. Your child needs to be a member on a plan with this benefit. 

Child speech & language therapy: 50% up to €30 x 8 visits

Get cash back on your child’s visits to a speech and language therapist. Your child needs to be a member on a plan with this benefit. The therapist must be a member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

SADS Screening: €50 contribution

With this Extra your child can claim a contribution from us towards the cost of cardiac screening for Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome. This benefit is only available where the SADS Screening is carried out in a clinical environment by a qualified practitioner.

Fertility Extra - what am I covered for?

Infertility benefit: 50% cover up to a max of €750.

We will contribute towards Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI), In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) treatment. The benefit can be claimed twice per lifetime. 

10% off Fertility Treatment at Beacon CARE fertility

With the fertility Extra, you can claim a 10% discount from the Beacon Hospital on the costs of the fertility treatments listed in the Beacon CARE Fertility List of Discounted Treatments . This discount can be redeemed once per lifetime. 

AMH Fertility Test: €50 contribution

We will contribute €50 towards the cost of an anti-mullerian hormone test. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

His & Hers Fertility Screening Tests: €50 contribution

We will contribute towards the cost of a screening which includes a Hormone Profile, Semen Analysis and/or Progesterone Levels. You can claim this benefit once per policy year. 

Fertility counselling: €50 x 2 visit

If you need to speak to someone about fertility, we will contribute €50 towards fertility counselling. The counselling must be carried out by a qualified counsellor.

Miscarriage counselling: €50 x 2 visits

If you have suffered amiscarriage and need someone to talk to, we will contribute towards the cost of 2 counselling sessions. The counselling must be carried out by a qualified counsellor.

Nutritionist, Dietician or Acupuncturist: €25 x 2 visits

What you eat and how you feel can affect your fertility. We will contribute towards the cost of visiting a Nutritionist, Dietician or Acupuncturist. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

Maternity Extra - what am I covered for?

3d & 4d scans: €50 contribution.

You will receive €50 contribution towards the cost of 3 & 4D maternity scans or early pregnancy scan. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

Private ante-natal class: €50 contribution

We will contribute towards an antenatal course that is provided by a qualified midwife who is registered with An Bord Altranais for midwifery, prior to the birth of your baby.

Zika Screening: €50 contribution plus €10 point of sale discount

Get €50 towards the cost of a Zika screening plus a €10 point of sale discount at the Tropical Medical Bureau.

Flu Vaccine: Fully covered

We will pay for your annual family flu vaccination in one of the Tropical Medical Bureau’s participating clinics. We have a direct settlement agreement with the Tropical Medical Bureau so we will pay them directly on your behalf.

Pediatrician consultation: €100 x 1 visit

We will give you a contribution per pregnancy to cover the cost of a paediatrician consultation.

Breastfeeding consultancy: €25 per visit × 2 visits

We will contribute towards breastfeeding consultancy with a qualified breastfeeding consultant who is a member of the ALCI (Association of Lactation Consultants in Ireland) and holds IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) membership. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

Post-natal depression or miscarriage counselling: €50 x 3 visits

We will contribute towards counselling by a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and the Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists (APCP) for post-natal depression or after miscarriage. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

Post natal home support: 2 x 3 hour session

We will cover the cost of a 3 hour domestic home help session after the birth of your child. The service is provided by Brown Flower and we will pay them directly.

Pre/post natal yoga & Pilates: €20 per visit × 3 visits

Get cash back on the cost of pregnancy, baby yoga and Pilates classes with a qualified yoga or Pilates expert, to help keep you fit and healthy before, during and after pregnancy. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

Partner expenses: €50 x 1 day

We will contribute towards expenses you may have while your partner is in hospital having a baby. These include hotel or B& B accommodation and travel on the day the baby is born and for the day before or after the birth. In order to avail of this benefit you must both be on a health policy with Irish Life Health.

Baby massage course (4 classes): €40 contribution

Members can get cash back on a baby massage course. Your massage therapist must be a member of the International Association of Infant Massage. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

First Aid course for mums and dads: Fully covered

Every parent can benefit hugely from knowing what to do in an emergency, which is why we will cover a ‘first aid course for mums and dads’ for members with this personalised package. First Aid For Everyone. If there isn’t a preferred provider’s course near you we will give you the same benefit amount towards a local course.

Sports Extra - what am I covered for?

Sports psychologist: €30 per visit × 2 visits.

Get cash back for your visits to a sports psychologist. Your psychologist must be a member of The Sport Psychology Network. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

Physiotherapist: €30 x 2 visits

Get cash back on visits to a physiotherapist.  The physiotherapist must be a chartered or state registered physiotherapist and a member of Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.

Adult gym or sports club membership: €50 per member

We will contribute towards annual membership to a gym or sports club for adult members with this Extra. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

V02 Testing: €30 contribution

We will contribute towards the cost of VO2 testing with Health Matters. We have a direct settlement agreement with Health Matters so members just need to pay the balance.

We will cover the cost of a standard metabolic test with Health Matters. We have a direct settlement agreement with Health Matters so we will pay them directly on your behalf.

Personal trainers/Sports Massage: €30 x 2 sessions

We will contribute towards the cost of two sessions of personal training or sports massage for adult members with this Extra. The sports massage must be performed by a member of the Irish Massage Therapist Association. Just keep your receipts and send them in to us to claim for this benefit .

Fitted Gum Shield / Protective Sports Gear: 50% back up to €30

If you need to visit a nutritionist or dietician we will contribute towards the cost of your visit to a nutritionist or dietician who is a member of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute.

Flu vaccine: Fully covered
