Akshay Kumar has announced his upcoming tour to North America in style

Akshay Kumar is continuously in the news these days. The actor has now announced his international performing tour all the way in North America called The Entertainers. He would join Bollywood actresses Disha Patani, Mouni Roy and Nora Fatehi along with Punjabi film sensation Sonam Bajwa. The tour is set to happen in March 2023.

Akshay made the announcement through a creative video on his official Instagram video. The visuals show Akshay entering the scene first and is followed by each team member introducing the other in a miraculous way with the use of VFX.

Akshay captioned the video, “Are you up for a Giant Party? Gear up, The Entertainers are coming your way!! North America, March, 2023.”

Just a few days back, the Rustom actor announced his apparel brand called FORCE IX. While making the announcement on Instagram, he wrote, “Time for the big reveal…my passion project, my brand and the name is FORCE IX. Engineered with emotion Coming Soon!”

Akshay recently announced his entry into Marathi cinema with Mahesh Manjrekar’s historical Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat , where he will play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia (born 9 September 1967) known professionally as Akshay Kumar pronounced is an Indian-born naturalised Canadian actor and film producer who works in Hindi cinema. In over 30 years of acting, Kumar has appeared in over 100 films and has won several awards, including two National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards. He received the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honour, from the Government of India in 2009. Kumar is one of the most prolific actors in Indian cinema. Forbes included Kumar in their lists of both highest-paid celebrities and highest-paid actors in the world from 2015 to 2020. Between 2019 and 2020, he was the only Indian on both lists.

Kumar began his career in 1991 with Saugandh and had his first commercial success a year later with the action thriller Khiladi. The film established him as an action star in the 1990s and led to several films in the Khiladi film series, in addition to other action films such as Mohra (1994) and Jaanwar (1999). Although his early tryst with romance in Yeh Dillagi (1994) was positively received, it was in the next decade that Kumar expanded his range of roles. He gained recognition for the romantic films Dhadkan (2000), Andaaz (2003), Namastey London (2007), and for his slapstick comic performances in several films including Hera Pheri (2000), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Phir Hera Pheri (2006), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), and Singh Is Kinng (2008). Kumar won Filmfare Awards for his negative role in Ajnabee (2001) and his comic performance in Garam Masala (2005).

While his career had fluctuated commercially, his mainstream success soared in 2007 with four consecutive box-office hits; it was consistent until a short period of decline between 2009 and 2011, after which he reinforced his status with several films, including Rowdy Rathore (2012) and Holiday (2014). Moreover, around this time critical response to several of his films improved; his work in Special 26 (2013), Baby (2015) and Airlift (2016) was acclaimed, and he won the National Film Award for Best Actor for the crime thriller Rustom (2016). He earned further notice for his self-produced social films Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017) and Pad Man (2018), as well as the war film Kesari (2019), and set box-office records in 2019 with Mission Mangal, Housefull 4, Good Newwz, and the 2021 action film Sooryavanshi.

In addition to acting, Kumar has worked as a stunt actor In 2008, He started hosting Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi and hosted four seasons. He also launched the TV reality show Dare 2 Dance in 2014 and his off-screen work includes ownership of the team Khalsa Warriors in the World Kabaddi League. The actor had also set up martial arts training schools for women safety in the country.

Sometime during or after the 2011 Canadian federal election, the Conservative government granted Canadian citizenship to Kumar by invoking a little-known law which allowed circumventing the usual residency requirement for Canadian immigrants. According to a former Conservative Party minister, Tony Clement, the citizenship was awarded in return for Kumar's offer of putting his "star power to use to advance Canada-Indian relations", and Canada's "trade relations, commercial relations, in the movie sector, in the tourism sector".

Akshay Kumar is an Indian Actor who needs no introduction. The actor, stunt director, producer and martial artist has been part of over 100 Indian movies and has been nominated for the Filmfare Awards on several occasions, bagging it twice! He is widely known and accepted to be an action hero but is also equally at home when it comes to family drama and romance genres. He is also lovingly referred to as the ‘Indian Jackie Chan’ for his love of stunts. His endorsement using enacted stunts for the popular aerated drinks brand, ‘Thumbs Up!’ is often associated to the success of the drink!

He is an entertainer and his stage shows are more often than not defined by gravity defying stunts which have the crowd at the edge of their seats. The actor is married to Twinkle Khanna, the daughter of the yesteryear Bollywood sweetheart Dimple Kapadia. His onscreen chemistry with co-star Katrina Kaif was also equally good and lead to the pair teaming up for many successful projects. He is also the owner of one of the successful teams in the Indian Kabaddi League.

Akshay Kumar reaches Atlanta ahead of The Entertainers tour in US, receives grand welcome

This came just two months after the actor shared a quirky video on Instagram to announce the North American tour. He was joined by actresses Disha Patani, Mouni Roy, Nora Fatehi and Sonam Bajwa who are also a part of the event.

Ahead of The Entertainers’ tour in the US, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has reached Atlanta to begin the event. A video of the actor’s arrival at the Atlanta airport is going viral on social media where he was given a warm welcome by a group of dancers. Earlier on Monday night, Kumar along with actresses Mouni Roy, Disha Patani and Sonam Bajwa was spotted together at the Mumbai airport, where they all stopped by to pose for the paparazzi. While Nora Fatehi and Aparshakti Khurana are also said to be a part of the tour, they weren’t spotted at that time. Speaking about the Good Newwz actor landing at the Atlanta airport, he was seen in an all-black ensemble paired with a pair of sunglasses.

As he came out of the airport, a group of dancers comprising young men, women, and kids were seen performing for him. While an elated Akshay stood to watch them perform, he later also posed for a picture with them.

This came just two months after the actor shared a quirky video on Instagram to announce the North American tour. He was joined by actresses Disha Patani, Mouni Roy, Nora Fatehi and Sonam Bajwa who are also a part of the event. They were seen discussing the place to commence their tour to finally close in with Atlanta.

Aparshakti Khurana will also join the group in the end. All of them will be performing in the event, scheduled to be held across multiple US cities, starting from Atlanta. While Akshay will be seen dancing to some of his hit songs during the event, the leading ladies are also expected to perform in the shows scheduled for them.

While cities like Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, and Oakland are already on the list, the New Jersey concert was recently cancelled due to payment issues. The tour will take place in March 2023.

The walk featured in a promotional video for the actor’s upcoming tour of North America

Ahead of his North America tour, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is facing the heat over a promotional video in which he is shown walking over the map of India.

The actor had uploaded the now-controversial video on his social media handles on Sunday. Kumar’s post didn’t cut ice with netizens who labelled it as "disrespect to the India map".

The video also features actresses Disha Patani, Mouni Roy, Nora Fatehi, and Sonam Bajwa. However, they weren’t seen walking over the India map.

The video was made to promote the North America Tour of the stars in March this year. Sharing the video, Kumar had tweeted, “The entertainers are all set to bring 100 per cent ‘shuddh desi’ entertainment to North America. Fasten your seat belts, we’re coming in March!”

Some even questioned Kumar’s loyalties by pointing to his Canadian citizenship.

The actor had earlier said he’d relinquish his Canadian citizenship and apply for an Indian passport.

The New Jersey concert, part of The Entertainers tour, featuring Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, Nora Fatehi , Sonam Bajwa and Disha Patani , has been cancelled. While Amit Jaitly, the concert's promoter, put up an Instagram post stating it was because of 'extremely slow sales of tickets', a source close to the tour has refuted the claim and said the March 4 concert has been cancelled because of non-payment by the promoter. A source close to the tour shared that Akshay Kumar along with Mouni, Sonam and Disha would be leaving India for the rest of the tour dates on Monday. The source said, "The Entertainers tour’s New Jersey show was unfortunately called off because the local promoter Amit Jaitley of Sai USA INC failed to pay the national promoter. Despite the presence of a large Indian population in the city were excited about the show, it‘s canceled because of non-payment by Amit Jaitely."

The promoters, Sai Usa Inc, put up a lengthy statement on why the show was cancelled earlier this week. In an Instagram, they explained in their statement, "We hold our beloved audience and their expectations from us at the highest level. We strive to deliver nothing but quality shows in the tri-state area. But, there are times when things just don't work out in our favor and we have to make tough choices and make the hardest decisions. It is with a big Sorry this time, that we have to let our audience down and announce the cancellation of The Entertainers Tour show featuring Akshay Kumar and others."

The note continued, "In the spirit of full transparency the main reasons for the cancellation is the extremely slow sales of tickets for the show, this has led to it not being financially viable unless we booked some very huge losses from the show. It is evident that this show has very little demand and we have realized that the tour was not appropriately promoted for awareness to spread in the South Asian disapora in the United States. With the less than stellar support for marketing from the Tour organizer, we have no other choice." The post also assured fans who had bought tickets that their money would be refunded.

Besides Akshay and the female actors, The Entertainers also features actor Aparshakti Khurana and singers Jasleen Royal and Stebin Ben. The North American tour would be held in various US cities like Atlanta, Dallas, Orlando and Oakland. The New Jersey concert was going to be held at Cure Insurance Arena in Trenton, the state capital.

Akshay's latest film release Selfiee, co-starring Emraan Hashmi, has earned a little over ₹ 10 crore for its first weekend. The Hindi film is said to be the actor's lowest opening in a decade.

Kygo Announces World Tour Across North America And Europe

Today, global superstar, producer, and DJ Kygo announced part one of his 2024 world tour across North America, Europe and the UK.

Produced by Live Nation, the 26-date run kicks off on Saturday, September 7 in Commerce City, CO at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park, with stops in Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, London and more before wrapping up on Friday, December 13 in Dublin, Ireland at 3Arena. As the highest-selling ticket artist in dance music, part one of Kygo’s 2024 dates marks his first tour since 2018 and will bring his incredible live show across the globe. The impressive, must-see performance will feature Kygo’s signature piano, as well as strings, singers, and drummers. Special guests SOFI TUKKER, GRYFFIN, Sam Feldt, Zara Larsson, Klangkarussell, Hayla, Victoria Nadine, and Vandelux will join on select dates.

The Kygo World Tour will feature performances at iconic venues around the world, including Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and a hometown show at Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway.

The new tour announcement comes on the heels of Kygo’s new single release, “For Life” ft. Zak Abel & Nile Rodgers, from last week.

Netizens slam Akshay Kumar for walking over India's map in promotional video

Mumbai: Ahead of his North America tour, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is facing the heat over a promotional video in which he is shown walking over the map of India.

The actor had uploaded the now-controversial video on his social media handles on Sunday. Akshay's post, however, did not cut ice with netizens who promptly labelled it as disrespect to the India map.

The video also features actresses Disha Patani, Mouni Roy, Nora Fatehi, and Sonam Bajwa. Fortunately for them, they were not walking on the India map and so they escaped Akshay's fate.

The video was made to promote the North America Tour of the stars in March this year. Sharing the video, Akshay had tweeted, "The entertainers are all set to bring 100 per cent shuddh desi entertainment to North America. Fasten your seat belts, we're coming in March!"

The backlash to the video was quite savage as some netizens raised questions about Akshay's loyalties by pointing to his Canadian citizenship.

The actor has earlier stated that he has decided to relinquish his Canadian citizenship and applied for an Indian passport.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 23 (ANI): This December Akshay Kumar is all set to come up with the star-studded 'Welcome 3'.

Officially titled 'Welcome to the Jungle', the film features Akshay alongside renowned names such as Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Suniel Shetty, Johnny Lever, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Rahul Dev and singers-brothers Daler Mehndi and Mika.

As fans are eagerly waiting for the third part, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make the film more special.

As per the information shared by the film's team, the movie will have a grand dance number, featuring as many as 30 stars and 500 dancers.

The song has been composed by Anand Raj Anand, with the dance choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.
