I need to cancel my booking, can I get a refund?

If you are cancelling your booking prior to your final payment, you will receive a refund unless you have booked a specific promotion with a non-refundable deposit and/or fare.

  • For cruises 5 days or less, the final payment date is 75 days prior to sailing and for cruises 6 days or more, the final payment date is 90 days prior to sailing.

In addition to our themed sale fares (eg "72 hour" sale "Get Me Out of Here" sale), some of our fare types have restricted cancellation and refund terms which are not subject to our standard cancellation policy. We will notify you of the terms of your chosen fare type before you make a booking.

Subject to any rights that you have under the Australian Consumer Law, the following fare types are subject to the following terms:

  • Choice Fare: The deposit is non-refundable at any time after the booking is made.
  • Super Saver: The deposit is non-refundable at any time after the booking is made.
  • Pack & Go: 100% of Total Fare is non-refundable any time after the booking is made.

Once your booking is within our cancellation period, the non-refundable amount will increase as the cruise departure approaches. When calculating the days prior to sailing, the day of sailing should not be considered as one of the days. The day of sailing is considered the first day of the cruise:

  • From the final payment date to 56 days prior to sailing, the non-refundable component is the standard deposit amount.
  • From 55 days prior to sailing to 30 days prior to sailing, the non-refundable component is 50% of the total fare or the standard deposit amount, whichever is greater.
  • From 29 to15 days prior to sailing, the non-refundable component is 75% of the total fare or the standard deposit amount, whichever is greater.
  • From 14 days prior to sailing to the day of your cruise, the non-refundable component is 100%* of the total fare.
  • No refunds will be made if you do not show up for your cruise or if you interrupt or cancel your holiday once it has begun.

The total fare is defined as Cruise Fare, Transfer Services and Pre/Post Cruise Vacation Packages and Fly2Fun Air* (please note that Fly2Fun Restricted Air which is non-refundable at time of booking).

Note: For full 100% penalties, the refund will only include: Taxes, Fees and Port Expenses and Optional Prepaid Gratuities*.

If you have purchased Carnival's Fly2Fun* air, please note the following as it pertains to the cancellation of the air portion of your booking:

  • Flexible Air*: Air is refundable outside of 60 days prior to sailing. Applicable penalties apply to changes made within 60 days.
  • Restricted Air*: Air is non-refundable at time of booking.

* Applicable to North America departures only.

For guests booked directly with Carnival:  To check and see if your booking is subject to a cancellation non-refundable component, login to your carnival.com.au profile. Under the 'My Cruise Details' section, click on the 'Is there a non-refundable component for cancelling this booking' link.

For guests booked through a travel agent:  Please contact your travel agent directly to see if your booking is subject to a cancellation non-refundable component.

How to Change or Cancel a Carnival Cruise

Picture of Guest

  • March 25, 2020

For an incredible vacation or an unforgettable wedding, many people book spots with the Carnival Cruise Line. The company annually operates over 1500 voyages and has an impressive fleet of 22 ships !

But between the time you booked your cruise and actually boarding the trip, a lot can happen – you may need to change or cancel the carnival cruise for whatever reason.

And while it seems like a daunting task, the Carnival Cruise Line is more than accommodating when it comes to last-minute changes and cancellations. To help you out, we also gathered what you need to know about either process.

How to Change a Carnival Cruise

Changes to a carnival cruise can involve changes to the guest list or your stateroom, for instance.

Name Changes

A name change on the Carnival Cruise website is defined as follows: The cancellation of one guest and adding a new guest to a booking.

The original guest must remain on the booking; otherwise, it’s considered a full stateroom cancellation, and cancellation penalties apply.

Based on certain circumstances, the company may impose some restrictions on name changes:

  • For bookings not under restricted/non-refundable fares, there’s no charge for a name change.
  • Alternatively, bookings with Carnival airfare may incur name changes fees (check specific promotion terms for further details)

Changes to Your Stateroom

On the day of the cruise, you can’t upgrade or change your stateroom as the ship sails only at capacity. You can always upgrade your room prior to the cruise, but that will depend on what rooms they still have available for booking.

So, we recommend that you book your stateroom(s) as early as possible. This way you can pick from a plethora of options and not have to worry about making any changes later.

Can I Reschedule My Carnival Cruise without Penalty?

As with changes regarding your stateroom, rescheduling is only allowed prior to the cruise sailing—or before the final payment is due. Additionally, changes to the ship sailing date are subject to a fee per change, per person.

To know how big the fee is and if it applies to you or not, contact the Carnival Cruise support team .

Can You Cancel a Carnival Cruise?

If you cancel your booking before the final payment, there’s no penalty unless you’ve booked a promotion with a non-refundable deposit/fare. Note also that the final payment date differs from one cruise to another – so be sure to check on them beforehand.

Keep in mind the following too:

  • Penalties for cancellations increase closer to the departure date, starting from standard deposit amount up to 100% of the total fare.
  • Certain promotions like Early Saver, Super Saver, and Pack & Go have non-refundable deposits/fare.

And here’s a little tip: If you need to know further details about cancelling your carnival cruise, go to the ‘My Cruise Details’ section of your Carnival Cruise profile and find the question regarding cancellation penalties.

Options For Dealing With Cruises Cancelled By Carnival

carnival cruise line sailing

For sailings cancelled by Carnival Cruise Line (for technical or mechanical reasons), the ship operator will always offer you a full refund for your troubles. They’ll also ask if you’d like an alternative instead onboard another cruise.

Carnival Cruise might present you the option to accept future cruise credit—based on the duration of the cruise you booked. There could be added onboard credit as well.

Finally, if the cancellation results in an overnight stay, the cruise operator should help you (and your guests, if applicable) to a free-of-charge accommodation onboard or onshore.

Carnival Cruise Cancellation Policy (3 Different Options!)

Explore Carnival Cruise cancellation policy: 3 clear options for refunds & penalties. Ideal for travelers planning with flexibility. Learn more now!

cancel cruise on carnival

Carnival Cruise is a popular cruise line with trips around the world available to its clients! Booking a cruise can be exciting, but sometimes plans do not go as smoothly as you would prefer. Cancellation policies can help you decide which trips to book and show you what you could back if you need a refund for your vacation. Carnival Cruise has a pretty straightforward cancellation policy!

Carnival Cruise has three tiers to its cancellation policy. The first is if you cancel before the final payment, where you will receive no penalty. The second is canceling after the final payment, where you will be penalized based on how close you cancel to the start of the trip. Finally, if you cancel a trip booking with a special offer, your refund options vary.

There are different penalties and refund options for these different tiers. The Carnival Cruise cancellation policy can feel a bit confusing and overwhelming. Follow along to learn about the other cancellation options with this cruise line. As well as the various processes to expect if you need to cancel your trip.

What is Carnival Cruise's Cancellation Policy?

cancel cruise on carnival

The cancellation policy for Carnival cruise may feel overwhelming but is based on the time you cancel in relation to the beginning of your booking. Much like with other reservation companies, cancellations closer to your reservation are less likely to be refunded in full.  There are two main tiers to the cancellation policy for typical cruises.

First is for those who cancel before the final payment, or roughly 90 days before the reservation. Here you will get a full refund for your cruise. For those who cancel after the final payment, the refund and fee breakdown varies depending on the proximity to the upcoming trip. We will break these details down in the next section. Finally, it should be noted that special offers or deals rarely adhere to this standard structure.

This is the simple breakdown of Carnival Cruise's cancellation policy, however, there are a few more details that pertain to each situation.  We will simplify them as much as possible. If you have more questions or a particular case it is best to speak with a Carnival Cruise representative!

What are the Carnival Cruise's Cancellation Options?

cancel cruise on carnival

Carnival Cruises' cancellation options are solely based on the time you cancel in proximity to the date your cruise leaves.  So there are not necessarily cancellation options, but tiers set of how much of a refund you can expect. The closer to your reservation that you cancel, the more fees you face and the less money you receive back.

You are allowed a 24-hour free cancellation policy, as mandated by law. But beyond that point, you will fit into two main categories, before and after the final payment. If you book with a special promotion, the cancellation policy differs slightly. However, the main date to keep in mind is 90 days before your cruise. That is the cut-off for full refunds and anything after that will face fees.

Cancelling Before the Final Payment

This is the most simple and convent tier of Carnival Cruises' cancellation policy.  If you cancel before you make your final payment, then you are likely to get a full refund . This tends to be about 3 months before you set sail, so you may want to mark that in your calendar just in case.

If you booked a very short cruise, your deadline will be later than a longer cruise. For cruises less than five days, the final payment date is 75 days before sailing. Whereas cruises are 6 days or more, the final payment date is 90 days prior to sailing.  Meaning if you booked a 3 or 4-day cruise than you will have a few more weeks to cancel and get the full refund!

However, if the cruise you booked was of a specific promotion it may be non-refundable for both the deposit and the fare.  So it is great to keep a look out for this if you find an amazing deal but are not sure on if you will be able to make the trip.

Your best chance at getting the most money back is to cancel your cruise at least three months or 90 days before you are supposed to set sail.  You will not face any stiff cancellation fees and have the best chance to get all your money back. This is the best idea regardless of the length of the trip. If you cancel after these dates, then you will face the fees outlined in the next section.

Cancelling After Final Payment

If you need to cancel after the final payment date, you will find a structured penalty system that will deduct from your refund.  Once final payment has been made, cancellation penalties do apply and increase as the departure date approaches. It is best to pull out a calendar and see what penalties you will face depending on when you cancel your cruise.

The first tier is between 89 and 56 days prior to your sailing date, between 12 and 8 weeks of your departure.  Here the penalty is only your standard deposit amount.  The rest of your money will be returned to you if you cancel within these margins.

Next is from 55 days prior to sailing to 30 days prior to sailing.  Between 8 and 4 weeks, the penalty for your cancellation will be 50% of the total fare or the standard deposit amount.  Whichever amount is greater is the fee you will need to pay, with the rest being refunded.

Then there is the tier between 29 to 15 days prior to sailing.  At this point, your fee will be 75% of the total fare or the standard deposit amount, whichever is greater.  This is because it will be more difficult to fill your spot canceling this late.

The final tier is between 14 days and 0 days before sailing to the day of the cruise. Now the penalty is 100% of the total fare. You will not receive your fare returned, but extra packages you may have booked will be.  You will receive no refunds if you are a no show to the reservation.

It should be noted that when calculating the number of days prior to the cruise, the day of sailing is considered the first day of the cruise. If you need to cancel your Carnival Cruise you should do it sooner rather than later. Even after the final payment deadline, you will receive more of a refund the sooner you make the cancellation.

Special Deals

The Early Saver promotion offers great prices to Carnival cruisers.  The company describes it as the lowest available core rate when open. Additionally, these Early Saver promotions provide price protection for up to 2 business days prior to sailing! However, with this promotion, the deposit is non-refundable at any time after the booking is made.

The Early Saver cruise prices are available up to 76 days prior to sailing for short cruises (5 days or shorter) and up to 91 days prior to sailing for long cruises (6 days and longer). Meaning they are available up until the typical final cancellation dates, so there is not much opportunity to get a refund.

If you do book an Early Saver promotion and need to cancel before the final payment, you will be able to get a cruise credit.  The credit is a non-refundable and non-transferable future cruise credit (FCC). Which comes with a $50 per person service fee. You must use this credit within 12 months from the date of cancellation. You can only use this credit with cruise fares and any unused portion will be forfeited.

Another type of promotion is the Super Saver, which can be priced lower than the Early Saver! Unfortunately, it does come with more restrictions. For example, you will not be able to select your cabin with this promotion. The deposit is also non-refundable at any time after the booking is made.

Finally, there are the Pack and Go promotions!  Pack and Go are the last-minute deals available on the cruise line’s website and are great for spontaneous travelers!  However, it does mean these bookings have an even more restrictive policy than Early or Super Savers. You will not be able to customize your package too much and can expect that 100% of the total fare will not be non-refundable any time after the booking is made. So be sure of your trip before you pay for these deals!

How Late Can I Cancel a Cruise?

cancel cruise on carnival

You can cancel a Carnival Cruise reservation at any time!  There is no restriction on when you can no longer cancel your reservation. However, if you cancel after 14 days before the cruise launches then you will receive no refunds.

One of the worst things you can do is simply not show up to the cruise. You will get none of your money back and it puts the cruise line in a poor situation.  Canceling as early as you can help both yourself and Carnival Cruises immensely, so take action as soon as you can!

There are no fees for canceling before 90 days from your reservation date. After that, the fees increase as the cruise date approaches. But you are not allowed to cancel, you just will not get all of your money back.

To simply break down these fees after the final payment date, take a look here!  This is a quick table to see the fees you would face if you cancel after your final payment:

  • 91 days: you will only need to pay $100 per person
  • 61 to 90 days: you must pay 50% of your gross fare
  • 31 to 60 days: 75% gross fare
  • 0 30 days: you must pay 100% of gross fare

How Long Does It Take For Carnival Cruise's Refund?

cancel cruise on carnival

Generally speaking, it can take 90 days or more to process a cruise refund.  There is no need to stress if the refund does not return within a few days. This can be for a variety of reasons, but the processing of your request and the transferring of money between accounts tend to take some time. However, it can be frustrating that this processing time does tend to be longer than others.

It is possible to contact a Carnival Cruise representative to try and speed up the process.  It is never a guarantee. With others trying for refunds as well, these phone lines may be busy and exhausting. Both for the representatives and clients themselves. But a calm tone and a few kind words can increase your chances of getting your refund sooner!

You may see a refund before these 90 days, but it is not likely. Patience is the best method after canceling your Carnival Cruise reservation, and it could help you get your refund faster. So do not stress and take it easy, vacation style!

Here is a simple summary of the Carnival Cruise cancellation policy!  The most simple option is to cancel before the final payment date.  Which is between 75 and 90 before the cruise takes off, depending on the length of the cruise. This is the easiest way to get your money back without a large penalty. Otherwise, you will find a bit more hassle and more fees.

The second most important point is if you cancel 14 days before the cruise, then you will face a 100% fare penalty . Unless there is a large weather disturbance or global pandemic, you will see stiff fees for canceling close to the cruise date.  Finally, the cancellation process can take roughly 90 days to process the refund.  So do not be concerned when the refund does not immediately appear in your account!

This is the basic information that you will likely run into if you need to cancel a Carnival Cruise. If you are needing to cancel for a special reason or do not sit within these outlines, then it is best to contact the company. A representative will be able to explain the information you need in more detail, but hopefully, this article gives you a great understanding!

What Happens if I Cancel My Cruise? What to Know About the Process

Most people book a cruise and can’t wait to get on the ship. Unfortunately, sometimes life takes an unplanned turn and you have to cancel. Maybe it’s because you get sick, there’s a death in the family, a job loss, or any other number of reasons.

cancel cruise on carnival

No matter the reason, having to cancel a cruise does occasionally come up, and the details of the process aren’t always so clear. It’s not as simple as just clicking a button to cancel and getting your money back. There are a number of hurdles and things to know about getting a refund when you decide not to sail.

To help make things clearer, we’ve covered a number of the most common questions you might have about canceling a cruise…

Am I Allowed to Cancel my Trip?

First and foremost, yes, you are allowed to cancel a cruise that you’ve booked . As well, you can cancel your trip for any reason that you want — even if you just simply decide you don’t want to take the cruise.

Just because you book the trip doesn’t mean you are obligated to actually sail. Of course, that doesn’t mean you are entitled to get all of your money back (more on this in a moment).

But if you thought that you could only cancel for certain reasons or that you weren’t able to cancel at all, that’s simply not the case.

How Do I Cancel a Cruise?

If you’re wanting to cancel your trip, you might find that it’s not as simple as you hoped. These days many of us are used to being able to cancel an order online with the click of the button. That’s usually not the case with cruising.

If you want to cancel, you aren’t likely to find a simple button in your online cruise account that lets you cancel. Even if there is one, it might be difficult to find.

Instead, the best way to cancel the trip is to give the cruise line a phone call . You can easily find the number to call on the cruise line website. Connect to a representative and then let them know that you’d like to cancel the trip. They will walk you through the process.

Is There a Penalty I Have to Pay?

If you cancel anywhere close to the cruise date, then you should expect that you will receive a penalty for the cancelation. However, this penalty isn’t in the form of another charge. Instead, it comes out of the deposit or cruise fare that you’ve paid. So you don’t have to shell out more money, you will just get back less than you paid.

These penalties will vary from cruise line to cruise line and even based on the length of the cruise. In general, the longer before your cruise you cancel, the smaller the penalty fee will be.

In many cases, cancellation penalties start between 90-120 days from the cruise date. Cancel before that and you’ll get back what you’ve paid, minus your initial deposit. The closer to the sailing date before canceling, the higher the penalty amount. Usually canceling anytime within 30 days of the cruise means a penalty of 100% of the cruise fare.

You can visit your specific’s cruise line’s website to see their cancellation penalty schedule. We’ve linked to a number of them here:

What If I Just Don’t Show Up For The Cruise?

cancel cruise on carnival

Say instead of canceling your trip, you simply don’t show up on cruise day. That’s not the same as canceling. Cruise lines make it clear that if you don’t show at the port, that will lead to no refund.

As Norwegian Cruise Line says clearly on their website, “No refunds will be given on any cruise for no-shows.”

How Can I Cancel Without a Penalty?

Say your cruise is upcoming and something happens that forces you to cancel. Does that mean you will always see a penalty?

Typically the answer is that most cancellations will have some sort of penalty, even if you cancel well before the trip actually sails. This penalty can be minimal if done well in advance, when it’s normally just the deposit amount.

But what about canceling with absolutely no penalty? This is unlikely. In some cases you may be able to cancel and if you have travel insurance, that policy could cover a penalty. However, travel insurance usually only covers cancellations for specific reasons. If you do have “cancel for any reason coverage” then it offers more flexibility in what it pays.

Does Travel Insurance Cover Cancellation Penalties?

If you’re hit with a cancellation penalty, travel insurance may be a big help. You’ll definitely want to check with your policy, however.

Usually travel insurance covers losses only for specific named reasons . This includes things like sickness, death, loss of job, and other major reasons. If canceling for a reason outside the scope of what’s allowed by your policy, then don’t expect it to cover the penalty.

Some policies offer “cancel for any reason” coverage. As the name implies, with this sort of policy, you’re covered no matter why you decide to cancel. However, the trade-off is that it often covers only a certain percentage of your loss.

In the case of any travel insurance, you’ll want to carefully read your specific policy for coverage before you decide to cancel the trip.

What About Taxes & Fees I Paid for the Cruise? Are They Refunded?

When you pay for your cruise, not everything your paying is the cruise fare. For instance, you pay the cruise fare, but also taxes, fees, and often other extras. So if you pay $1,000 per person for a cruise, maybe $850 of it is actual cruise fare.

It’s important to know that if you cancel and a penalty is assessed, that it doesn’t apply to taxes and fees paid. These are refunded to you, no matter the penalty. So if you paid $1,000 in total but only $850 of that was actual cruise fare, the remaining $150 would be returned to you — even if you had a 100% fare penalty for canceling the trip.

What About Extras That I Bought or Prepaid Gratuities?

In addition to your cruise fare and taxes/fees, you might have spent other money on your trip. This can include things like pre-booked packages, such as drink packages, specialty restaurants, or wi-fi. It can also mean excursions or prepaid gratuities. In some cases, these items can add up to hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

The good news is in general prepaid items are refunded, just like port fees and taxes. So if you’ve prepaid gratuities, or bought the drink package, that money will normally be returned to you. If you’re worried about these extras, you can often go in and cancel them individually for a refund before and then later cancel the cruise.

As Princess says in their cancellation policy, “If you’ve pre-paid for shore excursions or onboard purchases, you will receive a full refund. The Princess Cruises refund policy states that you will also receive money back on taxes, fees, port expenses, transfers and surcharges.”

Before we delve into the cancellation process, it’s important to note that the terms and conditions for cancelling a Carnival Cruise vary depending on factors such as the type of cruise package, the cancellation timeline, and any applicable fees. It’s always recommended to review the specific terms and conditions of your booking before proceeding with the cancellation.

Now, let’s get started on cancelling your Carnival Cruise online. Whether it’s a change of heart, a scheduling conflict, or any unforeseen circumstances, the following steps will guide you through the process seamlessly.

Step 1: Logging in to your Carnival Cruise account

The first step in cancelling your Carnival Cruise online is to log in to your Carnival Cruise account. If you don’t already have an account, you can easily create one by visiting the Carnival Cruise website and clicking on the “Sign In” or “Register” option.

Once you’re on the login page, enter your email address and password associated with your Carnival Cruise account. If you have forgotten your password, you can click on the “Forgot Password” link to reset it.

After entering your login credentials, click on the “Sign In” button to access your account dashboard.

By logging in to your Carnival Cruise account, you gain access to a wealth of information about your booked cruises, including the ability to view, modify, and cancel your reservations.

Now that you’re successfully logged in, it’s time to proceed to the next step and access the My Cruises page.

Step 2: Accessing the My Cruises page

After logging in to your Carnival Cruise account, the next step in cancelling your reservation online is to access the My Cruises page. This is where you will find all the details of your booked cruises, including the option to cancel.

To access the My Cruises page, look for the “My Cruises” or “Manage My Cruises” option on the menu bar or navigation panel. This may vary depending on the layout of the Carnival Cruise website, but it is typically easily accessible after logging in.

Once you’ve located the My Cruises page, click on it to proceed.

On the My Cruises page, you will be able to see a list of all your booked cruises. This includes the names of the ships, the dates of departure and return, and other important details. Take a moment to review your bookings and ensure you have selected the correct cruise that you wish to cancel.

If you have multiple bookings, make sure to select the one you want to cancel by clicking on it or selecting the appropriate option.

With the My Cruises page now open and your selected booking in focus, you’re ready to move on to the next step: finding the cancellation option.

Step 3: Finding your booked cruise

Now that you’ve accessed the My Cruises page, it’s time to locate the specific cruise that you want to cancel. This step is crucial to ensure that you are cancelling the correct reservation.

On the My Cruises page, you will see a list of all your booked cruises, typically organized chronologically or alphabetically. Take a moment to review the list and locate the cruise that you wish to cancel.

If you have many bookings, you can use the provided search or filter options to narrow down the list and find the specific reservation you want to cancel. These search or filter options may include filters such as departure date, ship name, or destination.

Additionally, you may find helpful information such as the booking reference number or cabin details associated with each cruise. This information can further help you identify the correct reservation to cancel.

Once you have located the correct cruise, click on it or select the appropriate option to access the booking details. This will take you to a dedicated page where you can view all the specifics of your reservation, including the cancellation option.

It is important to double-check the details of the reservation before proceeding with the cancellation. Confirm that you have selected the right cruise, as cancelling a booking is a final action and cannot be undone.

With the correct cruise identified and the booking details at your fingertips, you’re ready to move on to the next step: selecting the cancellation option.

Step 4: Selecting the cancellation option

Now that you have accessed the booking details for the cruise you wish to cancel, it’s time to select the cancellation option. Carnival Cruise provides a user-friendly interface that makes it easy for you to initiate the cancellation process.

On the booking details page, you will find a range of options and actions related to your reservation. Look for the cancellation option, which is typically represented by a button or link labeled “Cancel” or “Cancel Reservation”. Click on this option to proceed.

Before proceeding with the cancellation, take a moment to review any information or guidelines provided by Carnival Cruise regarding cancellations. This includes details about refund policies, any potential fees or penalties, and any offers or alternatives provided for rebooking or rescheduling.

Some cruises may have specific cancellation deadlines, so be sure to note any time-sensitive information before finalizing your decision to cancel.

Once you are ready to proceed with the cancellation, click on the cancellation button to move on to the next step.

Depending on the cruise package and specific circumstances, you may have different cancellation options available. For example, some cruises may offer a full refund, while others may have certain fees or penalties associated with the cancellation.

During this step, you may also be presented with alternatives to cancellation, such as the option to reschedule your cruise for a later date or choose a different itinerary. Consider these alternatives if they align with your preferences and availability.

With the cancellation option selected and the next step in sight, it’s time to confirm the cancellation and proceed with the process.

Step 5: Confirming the cancellation

After selecting the cancellation option, you will be directed to a confirmation page where you can verify your decision to cancel your Carnival Cruise reservation. This step is crucial to ensure that you are fully committed to cancelling your booking.

On the confirmation page, you will usually find a summary of the cancellation details, including any applicable fees or penalties and the refund amount, if applicable. Take the time to carefully review this information to ensure you are making an informed decision.

If you have any uncertainties or if the provided information does not match your expectations, you can reach out to Carnival Cruise customer service for clarification and assistance before proceeding with the cancellation.

Once you have reviewed the cancellation details and are ready to proceed, you will typically need to confirm your cancellation by clicking on a “Confirm”, “Cancel Booking”, or similar button. This step serves as your final confirmation and initiates the cancellation process.

It’s important to note that once you confirm the cancellation, the reservation will no longer be valid, and your spot on the cruise will be released. If you change your mind after confirming the cancellation, you may not be able to reinstate the reservation, as availability is subject to change.

By confirming the cancellation, you are acknowledging and accepting any applicable fees or penalties, as outlined in the terms and conditions of your booking. Make sure to review these terms and conditions carefully before proceeding to avoid any surprises.

With the cancellation confirmed, it’s time to move on to the next step and review the cancellation details before finalizing the process.

Step 6: Reviewing the cancellation details

After confirming the cancellation of your Carnival Cruise reservation, the next step is to review the cancellation details. This ensures that you have a clear understanding of the process and any associated fees or penalties.

Upon confirming the cancellation, you will typically be directed to a page that provides a summary of the cancellation details. This may include information such as the cancellation fee (if applicable), the refund amount, and any other pertinent information related to your cancellation.

Take the time to carefully review this information to ensure its accuracy. Pay special attention to any cancellation policies or terms outlined by Carnival Cruise, as these can vary depending on the type of cruise package and the timing of your cancellation.

If you have any questions or concerns about the cancellation details, it is advisable to reach out to Carnival Cruise customer service for clarification and assistance. They can provide further explanation of the fees or penalties, refund process, and any alternatives or options available to you.

It’s essential to be aware that cancellation fees or penalties may apply depending on the specific terms and conditions of your booking. These fees are often outlined at the time of cancellation and can vary depending on factors such as the timing of the cancellation and the type of cruise package.

By reviewing and understanding the cancellation details, you can make informed decisions and be prepared for any potential refund processes or adjustments to your travel plans.

Once you have reviewed the cancellation details and are comfortable with the information provided, you can proceed to the final step: completing the cancellation process.

Step 7: Completing the cancellation process

The final step in cancelling your Carnival Cruise reservation online is to complete the cancellation process. This step ensures that all necessary actions have been taken to finalize the cancellation and initiate any applicable refund processes.

After reviewing the cancellation details and confirming your understanding, you will typically be prompted to complete the cancellation by clicking on a “Complete Cancellation” or similar button.

By completing the cancellation process, you are confirming your acceptance of the cancellation terms and any associated fees or penalties.

Once you have clicked on the “Complete Cancellation” button, you may receive a confirmation message indicating that the cancellation request has been successfully submitted. This message may include information about the next steps in the refund process or any additional instructions you need to follow.

It’s important to keep in mind that refund timelines can vary, and the actual refund may take some time to process. Be sure to check the specific refund policies and timeframes outlined by Carnival Cruise for your booking.
