Taylor Swift performs

Swifties across the country have been reaching whole new levels of excitement as tickets for the much-anticipated Taylor Swift Eras Tour go on sale this week.

The Blank Space singer, 33, recently released another ‘Taylor’s Version’ album – Speak Now – following studio album Midnights, and has taken these tracks and more from her back catalogue on the road.

But it seems safe to say some fans have had a rocky experience in trying to get a hold of coveted Eras Tour tickets.

Pre-ordering the album Midnights allowed fans to get onto the pre-sale list, with more fans taking part in the general sale – in a bid to see Tay Tay live in the UK for one of 13 shows.

Three of those concerts are set to take place in Scotland city Edinburgh – which means one of the world’s biggest pop stars will perform at the BT Murrayfield Stadium.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at the venue Swift is going to be playing…

What is the capacity of Murrayfield Stadium Edinburgh?

Bruce Springsteen filled Murrayfield Stadium's 67,000 capacity and no doubt Taylor Swift will, too

According to VisitScotland , BT Murrayfield Stadium is the largest stadium in Scotland and has the capacity to hold 67,144 people.

Murrayfield is usually a sports stadium and is commonly referred to as the home of Scottish Rugby.

On April 21, 1925, Scotland marked a triumph over their ‘Auld Enemy’ rivals, England, in achieving a Grand Slam with the inauguration of the Murrayfield Stadium.

Taylor Swift is not the first famous musician to play at the stadium – One Direction, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Robbie Williams, Foo Fighters, Madonna, and The Rolling Stones have all chosen the venue for their Scottish tour shows in the past.

What is the seating plan of Murrayfield Stadium Edinburgh?

Murrayfield comprises two tiers of banked seating and a large standing-only area in front of the stage.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour 2024: Seating plan for London, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Cardiff shows

Here's a full roundup of all UK Taylor Swift venue seating plans including Wembley Stadium, BT Murrayfield Stadium, Anfield Stadium and Principality Stadium

eras tour edinburgh seat map

  • 11:18, 17 Jul 2023
  • Updated 13:51, 14 Nov 2023

Taylor Swift has added two extra shows to her line-up of 2024 Eras Tour performances, a surprise to hundreds of hopeful fans after a whirlwind ticket sale in the summer. It now means eager fans who previously missed may be able to secure a spot in the crowd.

The surprise new shows have been added to the lineup at London's Wembley Stadium taking place on Monday, August, 19 and Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Joining the already sold-out shows set to take place across London, Edinburgh, Liverpool, and Cardiff.

Tickets for the string of in-demand shows first went on sale back in July and saw thousands sell out within minutes, with many hopeful fans missing out due to the 'invite-only' preorder system. A unique code was only sent out to a controlled number of fans to help and deal with the increased soar in demand. .

It's thought that fans who missed out on receiving a code for the initial general sale may be at the top of the list to enter the extra dates tickets sale. To help you choose your seats we've rounded up the seating plans for all of Taylor's UK shows in London, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Cardiff to help fans choose their ticket type.

Last week's presale events saw as many as 28,000 people join the London pre-sale and Amsterdam's final sale saw 78,000 people try to get tickets, so having an idea of the venue layout can be beneficial.

One of our trusted ticket-buying tips when it comes to popular music events is for fans to have an idea of where they want to sit or stand in the stadium. This way, when they reach the front of the Ticketmaster or AXS queue they'll know which section to go for, without wasting any precious time.

Each UK Eras Tour stadium has different allocated spaces for VIP, general standing, seating and hospitality boxes, so it's helpful to know which section to head to when the time is ticking in the general sale queue. We've rounded up all of the stadium seating plans for Taylor's 2024 UK shows; London's Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh's BT Murrayfield Stadium, Liverpool's Anfield Stadium and Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

London Wembley Stadium layout

The full seating plan can be seen above for Wembley Stadium which has a capacity for 90,000 fans.

The map shows those who buy General Admission Standing tickets will be in the yellow floor section just behind the Front Standing Right and front standing left sections. These tickets are expected to sell out fast as it has some of the best views of the stage and the walkway Taylor will perform on.

The map also shows the surrounding Level 1 Reserved Seating (in light green), Level 2 Reserved Seating (in purple) and Level 5 Reserved Seating (in red). The pre-sale prices for these tickets ranged between £58.65 and £194.75, and prices could rise.

Taylor Swift is set to perform six nights at London's Wembley Stadium, and tickets for Friday, June 21 and Thursday, August 15 go on sale today, although the seating plan remains the same for all London shows.

Taylor is also performing in London on June 22, June 23, August 16 and August 17. You can buy tickets to the London Taylor Swift shows on Ticketmaster or AXS.

Edinburgh BT Murrayfield Stadium layout

Above you can see the full layout of the BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, which has a capacity of 67,144.

The venue will be divided into Front Standing Left, Front Standing Right and General Admission Standing, which has a pretty similar layout to the same tickets at Wembley Stadium.

Seated tickets are split up into the Lower and Upper tier which are highlighted in the pink and green sections. The two orange sections at the back of the General Admission Standing are reserved for Accessible Viewing Platform ticket holders.

You can buy tickets to the Edinburgh Eras Tour shows on Ticketmaster and AXS.

Liverpool Anfield Stadium layout

The stadium map for Taylor Swift's Liverpool shows at Anfield can be seen above, which holds a capacity for 54,000 people, although not all sections will be used for the shows.

Tickets for the two Liverpool shows, on June 13 and 14 2024, are different as the only standing tickets available are General Admission Standing, not Front Left Standing or Front Right Standing seen for the London and Edinburgh shows. Taking a look at last week's pre-sales fans can expect to pay upwards of £143 for these tickets.

The map also shows the pink Lower Tier seating and the Yellow Upper Tier seating, prices for these tickets will vary in price depending on the distance from the stage and view. The Upper Tier Side View can also be seen in green, which has a more restricted view compared to other seated options.

You can buy tickets for both Anfield Stadium shows on Ticketmaster and AXS , the first sale for Liverpool starts on Tuesday, July 18.

Cardiff Principality Stadium layout

As the second biggest venue after London's Wembley Stadium, the Principality Stadium has a capacity for 74,500 people, and a lot of various seating options for Taylor's show on Tuesday, June 18.

The same three standing options can be seen on the map with General Admission Standing, Front Right Standing and Front Left Standing, all of which are expected to be popular in ticket sales. The Principality Stadium also has more options for corporate boxed (or suites) which can be seen in orange just behind the Middle Tier seated (in purple) section.

Other seated options include the Lower Tier (in green) the Middle Tier Side View (pink and blue sections) and the Upper Tier (dark yellow). Ticketmaster doesn't distinguish what the grey squares on the standing pitch are allocated for, but after looking at Wembley and Murrayfield plans it could be reserved for accessibility tickets.

You can buy tickets for Taylor's only Cardiff show on Ticketmaster and AXS .

Registering does not guarantee you will receive an access code nor that you will have the ability to purchase tickets. Please note, we expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis while currently available inventory lasts.

Why didn’t my access code work?

You may have maxed out your ticket limit. Due to demand, all events have a ticket limit to allow more fans like you to get tickets.

Can I enter multiple codes?

No. Only one code can be processed during each transaction. Separate transactions will be required for each access code held.

What happens if I’m on the waiting list?

If you move off the waiting list, you will receive an email containing your access code details and where to access the relevant on-sale. Keep in mind, your notification may come at any time after ticket sales begin as per the schedule above. When notified, your email will include:

  • A link to the on-sale
  • Your unique access code
  • Please also watch your email – if there are SMS delivery issues, such as an incorrectly entered mobile number or network issues, we will email your access code details.
  • Purchasers are held to a ticket limit of 4 (four).
  • Please note, getting off the waitlist does not guarantee access to tickets. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis while currently available inventory lasts.

Photo shows stage and crowd for an Eras Tour show

All four of the seating plans have now been confirmed for Taylor Swift's upcoming UK Eras Tour shows. The arena maps give fans an idea of what their view will be like of the stage.

Popstar icon Taylor Swift will be bringing her sell-out tour to the UK for 13 shows in summer 2024. The Love Story singer will be performing in London, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Cardiff between June and August.

There was a huge rush for tickets on Ticketmaster and AXS when presale opened on July 10 for fans who pre-ordered the megastar's Midnights album. The presale gave fans their first glimpse at the seating plans for the four stadiums as well as ticket prices for each of the gigs.

And now (as of November 14) two new nights have been added to the singer's stint at Wembley Stadium in London for August 2024. The new shows will take place on Monday, August 19 and Tuesday, August 20.

The first round of tickets sold out fast, so it's worth taking a look at the seating plans ahead of time so you're not wasting any time on the day. See below for a full list of the seating plans at London's Wembley Arena, Liverpool's Anfield Stadium, Edinburgh's BT Murrayfield Arena and Cardiff's Principality Stadium...

Taylor Swift will perform six shows at London's Wembley Arena on June 21, June 22, June 23, August 15, August 16 and August 17. And announced this week, she will also be performing on August 19 and August 20. The seating plan will be the same for every London show.

Wembley will be split into six sections for the Eras Tour shows. These are Front Standing Right, Front Standing Left, General Admission Standing, Level 1 Reserved Seating, Level 2 Reserved Seating and - the highest-up - Level 5 Reserved Seating.
