Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: What Is The Horizon Tour?
The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour is one of the many activities that you can race through as part of the seasonal event. Forza Horizon 5 is currently in its winter season, offering up the ID Zerouno '18 and Subaru 22B vehicles, which you can only unlock by earning points. The Horizon Tour is one of those many ways to earn points.
The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour itself is a three-race co-op event where players will face off in two teams of six, split between the red and blue team. The goal is to have the majority of your team place in the top six to earn points, and as such, you don't want to be running your team off the road just for you to get first place. The race takes place on dirt tracks and will use C-Class vehicles. Once any given race is over you will then drive collectively to the next race, and so on.

Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: How To Access The Horizon Tour
The Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour can easily be found in the Festival playlist. Just hit the pause button and find the playlist on the left of the world map. Once in there, you will be treated to the current reward cars, along with weekly and daily challenges. Scroll through to the right until you come across the various activities. On the bottom right, you should see the Horizon Tour Co-Op Championship. By clicking on it, you will be put into a waiting lobby, before eventually joining the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour. Since this is a part of the winter season, you will only have until December 4 to take part in it.

Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour: Rewards
Of course, the ultimate reward for the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Tour is to gain enough points to earn the latest legendary cars. For that, the Horizon Tour will grant you three Forza Points. For context, you will need 22 and 42 points to earn either of the reward cars. Additionally, from taking part in the event you will earn your usual rung of XP and skill points, which obviously increase depending on your position in the race. If this is your first Horizon Tour race, you will also earn the Tourist Attraction achievement.

A list of all the Forza Horizon 5 Tour races/schedule rotation
Forza Horizon 5 Tour is a co-op multiplayer mode where you and a team of five other players compete against AI drivatars in three consecutive Apex, Wilds or Baja races across the map. Whether you came across the Forza Horizon 5 Tour races from the Festival Playlist or it’s already one of your favorite FH5 features due to its cooperative nature and more lowkey, laidback nature compared to competitive online races, what might not be apparent from the get-go is a definitive list of all the Forza Horizon 5 Tour races nor their rotation schedule.
Which is why we’ve put together this list of all the Forza Horizon 5 Tour races, the schedule they follow by the hour and which cars fall under each race category so you won’t be left in the dust by your convoy or more importantly, the drivatar opposition.

Ninja Gaiden was my rite of passage at an early age. After finally beating that game (and narrowly dodging carpal tunnel) I decided to write about my gaming exploits. These days I enjoy roguelikes and anything Pokemon but I'll always dust off Super Mario RPG, Donkey Kong Country and StarFox 64 from time to time to bask in their glory.

Forza Horizon 5 High Performance Summer: Festival Playlist, reward cars, Photo Challenge, Treasure Hunt
The new Forza Horizon 5 Series is all about high performance.
Published: 27 Apr 2023 10:12 AM +00:00 Updated: 27 Apr 2023 2:53 PM +00:00
With Midnights at Horizon wrapping up, the new Forza Horizon 5 High Performance Series is here. The Forza Horizon 5 High Performance Summer festival playlist brings an array of new cars to collect and challenges to complete.
Table of Contents
Forza horizon 5 high performance summer, reward cars, photo challenge: #fastatlavista, treasure hunt: charmed, i’m sure, forzathon daily challenges, forzathon weekly challenge: science meets speed.
As the name implies, the new Series is all about high-performance cars, with fast cars and a new oval race track where you can set new speed records. Here’s a full breakdown of the challenges and reward cars in the Forza Horizon 5 High Performance Summer Festival Playlist.
Forza Horizon 5's High Performance Series will satisfy your need for speed.
Over the next four weeks, four incredible brand new high-performance cars are coming to Forza Horizon 5 as unlockable reward cars: the 2020 Lamborghini Huracán STO, 2019 Porsche #70 Porsche Motorsport 935, 2021 Audi RS 6 Avant, and the electric 2021 Porsche Mission R.
You can try to max out these cars at the high-speed Horizon Oval Circuit, a new permanent addition to the Mexico map.
The new Forza Horizon 5 High Performance Series (Series 20) commences on 27 April at 3:30pm BST / 10:30am ET. The inaugural Summer season will then end on 4 May at 3:30pm BST / 10:30am ET .
In terms of Season reward cars, scoring 20 points will reward you the Lamborghini Huracan STO track monster. A race variant of the X-Bow, the KTM X-Bow GT4 is also unlocked at 40 points.
Five more high-speed machines are up for grabs this week as reward cars for completing challenges.
Winning The Trial gifts you the 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR, while this week’s EventLab prize car is the 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3.
Completing the two Seasonal Championships also unlocks the 2019 Porsche 911 Carrera S and 2012 BMW M5. If you have the Hot Wheels Expansion, the 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante is up for grabs in this week’s Hot Wheels Seasonal championship.
As always, you can win multiple Super Wheelspins by completing this week’s seasonal challenges for a chance to add more swanky cars to your collection for free. There’s also a Rally Adventure Seasonal Championship that rewards you with a Doodle Jumper for your avatar.
For this week’s Photo Challenge, you need to photograph the 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast at the Buenas Vistas Player House . The reward for this challenge is the World's Fastest! Forza Link.
There’s another Treasure Hunt to conquer this week.
The clue for this week’s Treasure Hunt is: Hypercars turn up the charm by five as they narrowly avoid others on the highway.
You can use our Charmed, I’m Sure Treasure Hunt guide to find out how to get the location for a bonus reward.

Game Discussion: Forza Horizon 5
Horizon tour event list.
Posted on 28 December 21 at 03:59, Edited on 07 May 22 at 02:20 by DefEdge So I got this mostly from the Forza forums but I added a little bit more information for those who might find knowing what event happens at what minute in the hour rotation. He collected the data of what was there, I added the racing surface. 00: B-Reasonably Priced - Road 02: S1-Any - Dirt 04: B- Any - Cross Country - !Mislabeled! - MINIS ONLY 06: A-LandRover - Dirt 08: A-Unlimited Offroad - Cross Country 10: A-Any - Road 12: B-ClassicRally - Dirt 14: C-Pickups&4x4 - Cross Country - 1970s ONLY 16: S1-ClassicRacers - Road 18: S1-Hoonigan - Dirt 20: A-HeavyHitters - Cross Country 22: S1-ModernMuscle - Road 24: A-RuleBritannia - Dirt 26: S1-Any - Cross Country 28: S1-UpgradeHeroes - Road 30: S1-Any - Dirt 32: C-Pickups&4x4 - Cross Country - FORD ONLY 34: A-SuperSaloons - Road 36: B-EVO vs Impreza - Dirt 38: A-SportsUtilityHeroes - Cross Country 40: S1-ClassicRacers - Road 42: A-Unlimited Offroad - Dirt 44: S1-Any - Cross Country 46: A-BMW - Road 48: C-Retro Rally - Dirt 50: C-Pickups&4x4 - Cross Country - 1970s ONLY 52: S1-Any - Road 54: S1-Chevrolet vs Dodge - Dirt 56: D-Buggies - Cross Country 58: A-Any - Road Notice at minute 04 it is mislabeled. If you went to the tour location and looked at it, it will say B700 Anything Goes. This is wrong. If you enter it, you will only be allowed to select your B class Minis and rent the JCW Mini stock. For those who are wondering about certain accolades, you will also notice a lack of an S2 event. So that Complete a Horizon Tour in a S2 vehicle accolade is currently unobtainable. I figured this might be useful for those who are looking for a time to sign up for the Volkswagen De Lux tomorrow and next week the GT cars without sitting there waiting for it to cycle. Each entry is good for 2 minutes, the entry on the list is the first minute and ends right at the next entry. This is how it's been since the game launched AFAIK. It is subject to change, but I'm not going to sit there and monitor it. It is also not random. Edit: Giving credit, a player on the Forums with the gamertag QQstarSS. May or may not be on TA, but figured I'd give credit. Also a huge bit of work from LSD51ZEN on there, page 2, for taking screenshots of each event with tracks, AND for correcting the 'posters' for the events as needed for the 4 that had to be corrected. We will have to see if anymore need correcting... Edit 2: So it seems we have had wrong info because we didn't test everything out. The 3 events that are supposedly Pick ups and 4x4s are ALSO mislabeled. They have been struck out and corrected above Not actually mislabeled, just missing information... (as have the mislabeled B Any to Minis). This new info is from the Horizon Tour thread on the official Forza forums, just passing it onto everyone here. I didn't test it myself because I didn't need the accolade for it. This list is now completely obsolete and I pulled a link from the forums with a new long long list. This link is a shortened link to the google spreadsheet. https://t.co/rYpEhjnEBB Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

Posted on 27 April 22 at 23:16, Edited on 29 April 22 at 14:04 by MathGuy42 This rotation list is no longer valid as of the latest update. It's unclear to me if there's a regular rotation now or it's randomized. I've been watching for about 30 minutes, waiting for an S2 race with no luck. This person waited over an hour and didn't detect a regular rotation, though I suppose it could just be a very long rotation now. If anyone finds a new rotation list and especially when S2 happens, that would be great. It might be hard to find D and C also. I think I've only seen B, A, and S1 come up. Edit: FYI, S2 came up yesterday at 2:40pm EDT. I don't know if it will come up at that time again. As I waited, I also saw a D and a few C's, so those still come up too.
Posted on 07 May 22 at 02:18 Yeah, I was just noticing that. I did find a list where someone has compiled all the data, and it's crazy! Here's a shortened link that takes you to a spreadsheet. We do actually have S2 events now! https://t.co/rYpEhjnEBB I haven't completely looked it over, but it's a BIG list. According to someone counting it has: D - 10 C - 34 B - 120 A - 308 S1 - 234 S2 - 14 X - 0 I have no idea if that list is repeated or not, but... yeah... Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

Sorry about that then. I don't know what to do then. I was going by the official forums where someone spent all day compiling the list. Did you adjust for the time zone? The top left of the chart says to start in UTC. Granted, I have not referred to this list myself yet, I still need to do an S2 and last night xbox was having issues, saying I had to be online to play any of my games so I gave up on it. Edit: Here is a link to where I got that list from: https://forums.forzamotorsport.net/t/horizon-tour-event-list... Phear my Uber Gimpyness!
Posted on 08 May 22 at 15:18, Edited on 08 May 22 at 15:37 by BAE 10 There was an S2 tour at 8:16 AM PST instead of 8:18 AM like the list says. Either its random or the list is slightly off by few minutes.
Posted on 08 May 22 at 18:35 Hrm... I wonder if the events shift or if it totally is random. I feel bad for the guy who spent a day compiling it then, meaning all of his work was for naught if it was random. Then again, such a massive list needing to be collected in a rapid fashion, he's had to worry about the type of race, type of vehicle, and the 3 tracks the tour takes place on. I certainly couldn't have done that, I have to work 5 days a week and also take care of family one the weekends, so I'm usually pretty busy. Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

Was 8:16am PST the time the race showed up in the menu for signup or when it started? It looks like the times are for when the race actually starts, since the header says, "Signup begins 120 seconds before Start!" His list matches my experience that I posted above. The S2 race appeared for signup at 2:40pm EDT and started 2:42pm EDT. That's the 18:42 UTC race.

This was the only one I tested though since it was the only tour I needed.
Posted on 09 May 22 at 02:37 Hrm... looking over the list right now and comparing to what's in the game I am finding problems with some things not matching what's on the chart. Like at 2:20 it says S1 900 anything goes but it was A 800 anything goes. The tracks were correct though. Also yeah, I can see where you guys are saying that the times are not correct, like I have the UTC timer up on timeanddate.com and either I am 2 minutes back from that (my clock is set by internet) or these times are 2 minutes off. I would be putting the times in as "This is when this event begins collecting players" not the start time of the event itself. I guess if you are referring to the spreadsheet you would be looking ahead and not at the exact time, since you would already be looking at the screen and being ready. Phear my Uber Gimpyness!

The times shown are, also, the time the event appears enabling you to join more easily. Users can also filter the listing for event type, class, etc. Hope folks find it useful... tinyurl.com/35hadbp9

Here's a shortened link that takes you to a spreadsheet. We do actually have S2 events now! https://t.co/rYpEhjnEBB I haven't completely looked it over, but it's a BIG list. According to someone counting it has: D - 10 C - 34 B - 120 A - 308 S1 - 234 S2 - 14 X - 0 I have no idea if that list is repeated or not, but... yeah... Thank you very much! This tour guide are very precise. I only needed two Horizon Tour challenges, complete an event with a D class car and an S2 class car. Events are matching 100% with the table. netstryker

We'll continually update this section with information on how to unlock every Achievement in Forza Horizon 5, and provide all the information you need to 100% this incredible game's Achievements.
Here's how you can complete every Achievement in Forza Horizon 5.
Welcome to Mexico
- Description and reward : Arrive at Horizon Festival Mexico — 10 Gamerscore
The first Achievement any player will earn in Forza Horizon 5, "Welcome to Mexico" congratulates players for first entering Horizon Festival Mexico. All you need to do to earn this introductory Achievement is to complete the initial drive at the beginning of the game, making this an unavoidable Achievement if you play for more than 10 minutes.
Race Into Action
- Description and reward : Complete any Horizon Race Event — 10 Gamerscore
Forza Horizon 5 is filled with various kinds of Race Events, including asphalt, cross-country, off-road, drag races, and more. In order to earn the "Race Into Action" Achievement, you'll need to enter and complete any one Race Event in FH5, which you'll be able to do immediately after completing the first three objectives in FH5.
After the initial drive, the first Showcase Event, and the first Horizon Story, you'll be offered a selection of races to enter in order to earn Accolade points. Choose any one of these races to enter the Achievement early on, but this Achievement will pop the first time you complete a Race Event at any point in Forza Horizon 5.
- Description and reward : Complete the "On a Wing and a Prayer" Showcase Event — 10 Gamerscore
Another practically unavoidable Achievement, this will likely be the second Achievement most players will earn. The "On a Wing and a Prayer" Showcase Event is the second objective players will complete, immediately after the initial drive and introductory cinematic. You'll need to drive to the designated location (the game will nudge you in that direction) and race against a cargo plane and two wingsuit-equipped NPCs riding dirt bikes.
The Showcase Event will put you behind the wheel of the 1994 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS Cosworth WRC "Cossie V2," which will be rewarded to you upon completion of the event. Showcase Events aren't designed to be difficult, but the race will almost always be close. Once you complete the Showcase Event, you'll earn this Achievement immediately.
- Description and reward : Participate in a Horizon Arcade Event — 10 Gamerscore
After you finish the introduction to Forza Horizon 5, you'll be let loose in Horizon Life, the always-connected hub world that brings players from all over the world closer together. Scattered around the world are Horizon Arcade events, which are themed series of mini-games and challenges that players can complete together in exchange for Forzathon Points (which can be spent on exclusive rewards at the Forzathon Shop).
In order to earn the "Icebreaker" Achievement, you'll need to participate in any of the five categories of Horizon Arcade. You don't need to make it all the way to Round 3 and complete the Horizon Arcade, but you do need to participate and finish at least one round to complete this Achievement. Horizon Arcade events happen regularly all across Forza Horizon 5, so there's always another event to enter if you miss one.
- Description and reward : Unlock the first Player House — 10 Gamerscore
The "Mi Casa" Achievement goes hand in hand with the "This is the Way" Achievement further down, since most players will earn these at around the same time. The first Forza Horizon 5 Player House is "Casa Bella," and is given to players for free upon getting through the initial "tutorial" stage of Forza Horizon 5 and starting the first proper Horizon Adventure Chapter.
If you intend to complete the FH5 campaign, this Achievement is also pretty much unavoidable. Once you complete the initial drive, first Showcase Event, first Horizon Story, and earn enough Accolade points to start a new Horizon Adventure Chapter, you'll be directed to Mulegé, where you'll be given Casa Bella by Ramiro. You can use Casa Bella for anything Horizon Festivals can be used for, including customizing your cars and character, expanding your car collection, and more.
- Description and reward : Purchase your first car from the Autoshow — 10 Gamerscore
The "First Love" Achievement is pretty straightforward: buy any car at all from the Forza Horizon 5 Autoshow. You can earn this Achievement at any point, simply by heading to a Horizon Festival site or Player House to access the Autoshow, and purchasing absolutely any car you want (that's within your means to afford). You'll need to earn money from completing races and other events, as well as from Wheelspins.
This is the Way
- Description and reward : Start a new Chapter of the Horizon Adventure — 20 Gamerscore
This Achievement is connected to the "Mi Casa" Achievement above, in that they're going to be unlocked around the same time. This Achievement is earned after you complete the initial drive, first Showcase Event, first Horizon Story, and you accept your first player house from Ramiro in Mulegé. After which, Forza Horizon 5 should expand and give you increased access to the Horizon Adventure campaign.
Once you've unlocked Horizon Adventure and are having everything explained to you, you'll unlock the "This is the Way" Achievement.
Viva Horizon!
- Description and reward : Unlock your first Horizon Finale Event — 30 Gamerscore
"Viva Horizon!" is earned after unlocking any Horizon Finale Event, which is done through Horizon Adventure. Every Festival Site in Forza Horizon 5, each of which is given its own category in Horizon Adventure, features an "ultimate race." Many players may be familiar with The Goliath, a race that spans all of Mexico and is the Finale Event for Horizon Mexico.
To unlock a Horizon Finale Event, you'll need to progress through the Forza Horizon 5 introduction until you unlock Horizon Adventure, open one of the Horizon Festival Sites, and then unlock its Finale Event from Horizon Adventure. To do this, you'll need to earn plenty of Accolades through exploration, creation, racing, and more to progress through enough Horizon Adventure Chapters.
The six Horizon Finale Events include: The Goliath for Horizon Mexico, The Colossus for Horizon Apex, The Gauntlet for Horizon Wilds, The Titan for Horizon Baja, The Juggernaut for Horizon Rush, and The Marathon for Horizon Street Scene. Any of these Horizon Finale Events will unlock the "Viva Horizon!" Achievement.
Putting on a Show
- Description and reward : Win every Showcase Event — 20 Gamerscore
In order to earn the "Putting on a Show" Achievement, you'll need to unlock and win all four Showcase Events in Forza Horizon 5. You'll complete the first Showcase Event, "On a Wing and a Prayer," during the FH5 introduction, but the other three are unlocked through Horizon Adventure.
"Flood, Sweat, and Gears" is unlocked under the Horizon Wilds section of Horizon Adventure, and pits players against a team on jetskis in the 2020 Ford Performance Bronco R #2069. "Buggy and the Best" is unlocked under the Horizon Baja section of Horizon Adventure, and will have players race against two 2020 Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Bone Shaker in the 2017 Ford Bronco #25 Ultra4 Racing "Brocky." Finally, "Catch Me If You Canyon" is unlocked under the Horizon Rush section in Horizon Adventure, and tasks you with beating a freight train while driving 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV.
All four Showcase Events are gently rigged to lean towards giving you a very close win, but you'll still need to avoid major mistakes in order to come out on top. Completing Showcase Events can give you lots of Accolade points towards the next Horizon Adventure Chapter, making it easier to unlock the next Showcase Event, but you'll need to complete at least three Horizon Expeditions to unlock the corresponding Horizon Festival Sites first.
- Description and reward : Build the Horizon Wilds Outpost — 10 Gamerscore
There's an Achievement corresponding with building all six of the Horizon Festival Sites, with "AWDyssey" pertaining to the Horizon Wilds Outpost. After unlocking the Horizon Adventure, it's entirely up to you how to progress when you earn enough Accolades to unlock a new Chapter. In order to unlock the Horizon Wilds Outpost, you'll need to complete the Jungle Expedition, which has you take Ramiro into the jungle to track down a "big cat."
You'll need to help Ramiro recover his gear and lost notes, which he was forced to lose after a harrowing experience with his plane, and then you'll be given the location of the aforementioned big cat. Of course, the cat is actually a rare car. The 1991 Jaguar XJR-15 Sport, one of Forza Horizon 5's Barn Finds , is earned during this Expedition. After you complete the Jungle Expedition, you'll build the Horizon Wilds Outpost and unlock this Achievement.
Ask Any Racer, Any Real Racer
- Description and reward : Build the Horizon Street Scene Outpost — 10 Gamerscore
There's an Achievement corresponding with building all six of the Horizon Festival Sites, with "Ask Any Racer, Any Real Racer" pertaining to the Horizon Street Scene Outpost. After unlocking the Horizon Adventure, it's entirely up to you how to progress when you earn enough Accolades to unlock a new Chapter. In order to unlock the Horizon Street Scene Outpost, which is now officially recognized by the Horizon Festival, you'll need to complete the Guanajuato Expedition.
You'll get to explore Guanajuato and uncover Mexico's vibrant street racing culture, meeting some of the key figures, before racing to the site of the Horizon Street Scene Outpost. After you complete the Guanajuato Expedition, you'll build the Horizon Wilds Outpost and unlock this Achievement.
Far From the Mudding Crowd
- Description and reward : Build the Horizon Apex Outpost — 10 Gamerscore
There's an Achievement corresponding with building all six of the Horizon Festival Sites, with "Far From the Mudding Crowd" pertaining to the Horizon Apex Outpost. After unlocking the Horizon Adventure, it's entirely up to you how to progress when you earn enough Accolades to unlock a new Chapter. In order to unlock the Horizon Apex Outpost, which revolves around high-speed road racing, you'll need to complete the Tulum Expedition.
The Tulum Expedition tasks you with driving through ancient ruins buried deep in the jungle, with an aggressive tropical storm looming above. You'll have an opportunity to explore ruins, rescue Ramiro from the jungle, and race down to the coast. After you complete the Tulum Expedition, you'll build the Horizon Apex Outpost and unlock this Achievement. The Tulum Expedition is where you can earn "An Item of Extreme Value" and "New Tune" Achievements.
There's Always Money in the Baja Stand
- Description and reward : Build the Horizon Baja Outpost — 10 Gamerscore
There's an Achievement corresponding with building all six of the Horizon Festival Sites, with "There's Always Money in the Baja Stand" pertaining to the Horizon Baja Outpost. After unlocking the Horizon Adventure, it's entirely up to you how to progress when you earn enough Accolades to unlock a new Chapter. In order to unlock the Horizon Baja Outpost, which is centers around chaotic cross-country racing, you'll need to complete the Baja Expedition.
The Baja Expedition lets you race up an active volcano to help with conducting research, including clear steam vents and more. After you complete the Baja Expedition, you'll build the Horizon Baja Outpost and unlock this Achievement.
Adrenaline Rush
- Description and reward : Build the Horizon Rush Outpost — 10 Gamerscore
There's an Achievement corresponding with building all six of the Horizon Festival Sites, with "Adrenaline Rush" pertaining to the Horizon Rush Outpost. After unlocking the Horizon Adventure, it's entirely up to you how to progress when you earn enough Accolades to unlock a new Chapter. In order to unlock the Horizon Rush Outpost, which is all about PR Stunts, you'll need to complete the Canyon Expedition.
The Canyon Expedition is an interesting one, as it actually takes place during a traditional Mexican festival. During the Expedition, you'll be able to drive a parade float, before promptly launching it off a cliff. After you complete the Canyon Expedition, you'll build the Horizon Rush Outpost and unlock this Achievement.
Hall of Famer
- Description and reward : Reach the Horizon Hall of Fame — 50 Gamerscore
The ultimate goal for Forza Horizon 5 players — and the conclusion of its Horizon Adventure campaign — is to reach the fabled Hall of Fame and add your name to the vaunted Hall of Fame Leaderboard. In order to reach the Hall of Fame and unlock this Achievement, you'll need to play the game extensively and earn enough Accolades to unlock every Horizon Adventure Chapter in the game.
You do not have to complete any Horizon Adventure apart from the Expeditions (which unlock the Horizon Festival Sites and give you access to other Horizon Adventure Chapters), but you do at least have to earn enough Accolades to unlock them all. A good way to earn the required Accolades if you want to reach the Hall of Fame as soon as possible is to focus on completing PR Stunts across Mexico. However, practically everything you do in Forza Horizon 5 rewards Accolade points.
Any time you complete or win a race for the first time, reach a new milestone in your car collection or online creations, discover a new part of Mexico, and everything in between, Forza Horizon 5 rewards your progress with Accolades, all of which contribute to the Horizon Adventure. After you reach the Hall of Fame and unlock this Achievement, you'll be able to earn additional Accolades to rise through the Leaderboard, and participate in brutal The Trial events through the Festival Playlist .
How to Race Friends and Influence People
- Description and reward : Earn three Stars in the "Tristan" Chapter of the "Born Fast" Horizon Story — 10 Gamerscore
Forza Horizon 5 features several Horizon Stories, which are essentially side missions that follow smaller stories and characters. In order to earn the "How to Race Friends and Influence People" Achievement, you'll need to earn a perfect score (3 Stars) on the final Chapter of the "Born Fast" Horizon Story. In this Chapter, you'll race against Tristan, the leader of the Born Fast racing society.
Before you can race against Tristan, you'll first need to reach the Horizon Hall of Fame and earn the "Hall of Famer" Achievement. Once you've done this, you can return to the Born Fast Horizon Story and finish it. Tristan isn't the most difficult opponent to beat, but you'll have to beat him within a certain amount of time to earn 3 Stars. Keep an eye out for places you can cut corners to shave off precious seconds, and don't be afraid to use the "Rewind" function if you make a mistake.
If you have trouble beating Tristan in general, lowering the game's Drivatar difficulty should also make Tristan an easier opponent, but this won't increase the time to earn 3 Stars on the Chapter. Once you've beaten Tristan and the target time of 2 minutes and 25 seconds, you'll earn the "How to Race Friends and Influence People" Achievement upon returning to Freeroam.
Cover to Cover
- Description and reward : Earn 3 Stars on all Chapters in a single Horizon Story — 20 Gamerscore
The "Cover to Cover" Achievement is earned for earn 3 Stars on all Chapters in any Horizon Story. You can use any Horizon Story to earn this Achievement, but keep in mind some will be easier than others. Most Horizon Stories require that you've reached the Hall of Fame in order to complete the final Chapter and have branching paths that require you to return at a later date to complete missed Chapters.
The most straightforward way to earn this Achievement is to use one of the five "Test Driver" Horizon Stories. Each of these Horizon Stories only features 3 Chapters and does not require you to reach the Hall of Fame before completing them. Keep in mind, however, that Test Driver Horizon Stories tend to be a little bit more difficult to earn 3 Stars on than some of the other Horizon Stories. You only need to earn 3 Stars on all Chapters of one Test Driver Horizon Story to earn this Achievement.
If you want an easier time of it, have reached the Hall of Fame, and don't mind going back to play missed Chapters, the "Vocho," "El Camino," and "V10" Horizon stories are all pretty simple. Once you've earned 3 Stars on all Chapters of any of the Horizon Stories, you'll earn the "Cover to Cover" Achievement upon returning to Freeroam.
Tourist Attract
- Description and reward : Complete your first Horizon Tour Race Event — 10 Gamerscore
Horizon Tour is one of the brand-new Race Events introduced in Forza Horizon 5, and it pits a team of six real-life players against six AI Drivatars. Horizon Tour is unique in that it encourages teamwork, has a low barrier for entry and success, and bridges the gap between each Race Event by having you and your team drive as a Convoy to the next location. In order to earn the "Tourist Attract" Achievement, all you need to do is complete any complete Horizon Tour Race Event.
Horizon Tour Race Events feature three parts with a rotating theme (the class of car / locations change over time), and are pretty easy to matchmake for. Completing a Horizon Tour Race Event is straightforward and fun, and it can even net you points for the Festival Playlist .
Show Me Your Moves
- Description and reward : Play any EventLab Event created by another player — 10 Gamerscore
EventLab is a suite of tools that can be used to create anything you can imagine. Playground Games built EventLab to let the community inject a never-ending stream of fresh content into Forza Horizon 5, and earning the "Show Me Your Moves" Achievement just means playing any one of these Events. You can see community EventLab creations in the "Creative Hub" section of Settings, and completing any of those Events will earn you this Achievement.
EventLab Events can also occasionally be featured in the Festival Playlist , giving you another opportunity to earn the "Show Me Your Moves" Achievement. This Achievement cannot be earned by playing your own EventLab creations, but other players can earn it by playing yours!
- Description and reward : Give another player some Kudos to show your appreciation — 10 Gamerscore
Kudos is one of Forza Horizon 5's currencies , geared towards encouraging friendly interactions between players online. Think of Kudos as a social reward for when a player does something awesome in FH5. To earn the "Good Carma" Achievement, you have to gift Kudos to any player for any reason, just like other players can do for you!
You can gift Kudos to players by liking their creations and being grateful for Gift Drops and more. If you download a livery, tune, vinyl, or photo in Forza Horizon 5, be sure to give the creator a like to help boost the popularity of their creation and give them a Kudos. You can also do the same if you play an EventLab, Super7, or Create a Route creation. Finally, sending a "thank you" message when you receive a Gift Drop will also send Kudos to the gifting player.
Album Cover
- Description and reward : Take a photo of the 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE for Horizon Promo — 10 Gamerscore
Forza Horizon 5 features a pretty in-depth Photo Mode, which allows players to take awesome-looking photos of their cars. To earn the "Album Cover" Achievement, you need to take a picture of the 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE; that's right, the car that adorns the cover of Forza Horizon 5! The AMG ONE is an expensive car, coming in at a cool 2.7 million Credits in the Autoshow, so you'll likely have to wait a while in order to obtain it.
The 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE can be obtained through Wheelspins, the Autoshow, purchasing it from another play via the Auction House, or by earning it from the Festival Playlist (this car was a series reward for Series 1). Once you've acquired the car, go into Photo Mode while driving it and take a picture of it! Once the photo processes, you'll earn the "Album Cover" Achievement.
Fit to Print
- Description and reward : Take 50 photos of Legendary cars for Horizon Promo — 30 Gamerscore
"Fit to Print" seems like a simple Achievement at first, but it's actually quite difficult to pull off. In order to earn this Achievement, you'll need to take photos of 50 different Legendary rarity cars. Legendary cars are the most valuable of all vehicles in Forza Horizon 5, even besting the much-sought-after Forza Edition cars, so getting 50 of them for a photoshoot is no easy task.
You could wait until you've obtained 50 Legendary cars and taken a photo of each one. Legendary cars can be obtained from the Autoshow or Auction House, although they tend to be quite expensive, and can even be earned from Wheelspins and the Festival Playlist. Every Forza Horizon 5 Barn Find is a Legendary car, as well, giving you 15 if you find and restore them all.
However, there is an easier way to get the "Fit to Print" Achievement. Taking pictures of Legendary cars elsewhere in the world, even if they're not your cars, also counts towards Horizon Promo and this Achievement. The easiest way to take advantage of this is to take pictures of your opponent's cars at the beginning of every race. You can use EventLab to customize Race Event to change the car class, type, and theme, giving you a wider variety of potential vehicles. If you customize a Race Event multiple times with different cars, you should be able to find the necessary Legendary cars you need for the "Fit to Print" Achievement in no time.
Every Legendary car you photograph only counts once, so it does need to be 50 unique models. To make tracking your progress on this Achievement even easier, you can purchase the Lugar Tranquilo Player House , which gives you a shortcut for taking photos for Horizon Promo and lists every new car you photograph as you do so.
A Forza Edition to My Collection
- Description and reward : Earn a Forza Edition car from a Wheelspin or Super Wheelspin — 10 Gamerscore
Unfortunately, there's no guaranteed way to earn the "A Forza Edition to My Collection" Achievement. This particular Achievement is earned whenever you gain a rare Forza Edition car after spinning a Wheelspin or Super Wheelspin, which effectively comes down to chance.
Wheelspins are earned from leveling up, redeeming Skill Points on cars, completing Accolades and Car Collection milestones, from the Festival Playlist or Forzathon Shop, and more. Wheelspins can provide tons of rewards, including credits, rare clothing items, and tons of cars. Many vehicles from the Forza Horizon 5 car list , including a ton of Forza Edition cars, can be earned through Wheelspins.
Keep playing the game and earning Wheelspins, and you're bound to get this Achievement eventually. Not every Wheelspin gives you a chance at a Forza Edition car, and not every Wheelspin that gives you the chance will actually land on the valuable car, but your chances are definitely better than winning the lottery.
Manufacturer Affinity
- Description and reward : Earn a Manufacturer Bonus — 10 Gamerscore
Forza Horizon 5 features the Car Collection, which lists practically every vehicle in the Forza Horizon 5 car list that players can own. There are dozens of manufacturers in Forza Horizon 5, and players can get bonuses for owning every car from a specific manufacturer. To earn the "Manufacturer Affinity" Achievement, you need to do exactly this.
The easiest way to do this is to navigate to the Car Collection screen and find a manufacturer that only offers one car in the game. The 1945 Willys MB Jeep is a great option, as this car only costs 40,000 Credits and immediately earns you a Manufacturer Bonus. However, it's entirely up to you how to earn this Achievement. Owning every car from any manufacturer in Forza Horizon 5 earns the "Manufacturer Affinity" Achievement. Just keep in mind that some manufacturers have Forza Edition cars, or cars that you can't easily obtain.
You Could Say I'm a Fan
- Description and reward : Earn a Manufacturer Bonus for a collection of 25 or more cars — 30 Gamerscore
Related to the "Manufacturer Affinity" Achievement, "You Could Say I'm a Fan" is unlocked when you earn a Manufacturer Bonus for a manufacturer with 25 or more cars. Only a handful of manufacturers feature enough cars for this Achievement, notably BMW, Chevrolet, Ferrari, and Ford. Out of these four, Chevrolet is by far the easiest manufacturer collection to complete, but it still won't be cheap or easy.
All of these manufacturers feature at least one car that can only be obtained through special means like Wheelspins, including Chevy, and Ferrari and Ford are both very expensive if you're looking to purchase every possible car from the Autoshow. You can buy most of Chevy's cars from the Autoshow if you have a couple million Credits lying around, while the 1970 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 can only be obtained through Wheelspins (or the Auction House if you're willing to spend the money). BMW isn't as easy to obtain as Chevrolet, but those who prefer the German manufacturer can go that route.
It should be noted that this Achievement has been reported as buggy for some, so you may complete a manufacturer collection and earn your Manufacturer Bonus, but notice that the "You Could Say I'm a Fan" Achievement hasn't unlocked. Hopefully, Playground Games will fix any lingering issues here soon.
An Item of Extreme Value
- Description and reward : Discover and photograph the Golden Tlaloc Totem — 10 Gamerscore
The "An Item of Extreme Value" Achievement is earned during a specific Expedition, which also helps you unlock the " Far From the Mudding Crowd " Achievement. The Tulum Expedition has you travel to the ancient ruins of Tulum during a tropical storm. Once you reach Tulum, there are several optional objectives scattered around before you continue the Expedition. To earn this Achievement, you'll need to discover the Golden Tlaloc Totem in the upper left-hand corner of the mission area, near where you exit to continue the Expedition.
Once you've found the statue, enter Photo Mode and snap a picture of it. You should immediately get a voice quip from Rami, notice the optional objective appear as complete, and earn the Achievement. Keep in mind there are two statues in the area, both of which have their own optional objective during the Expedition. You'll need to find the Golden Tlaloc Statue specifically to earn this Achievement. If you've already completed the Tulum Expedition, you can always replay it at a later date.
No Stone Unturned
- Description and reward : Complete your first Expedition — 30 Gamerscore
When progressing through the Horizon Adventure, you'll be able to choose what to unlock when you want. To open new Horizon Festival Sites across the map, you'll first need to unlock different Expeditions and complete them. Earning the "No Stone Unturned" Achievement is as simple as unlocking and completing any Expedition through Horizon Adventure, which in turn will open a new Horizon Festival Site. For many players, this will likely be the Tulum Expedition, which unlocks the Horizon Apex Outpost.
Through the Tulum Expedition, you can actually earn five Achievements at the same time. The "No Stone Unturned," " Far From the Mudding Crowd ," " New Tune ," " Stunning Photography ," and " An Item of Extreme Value " Achievements are all obtainable by playing the Tulum Expedition, which is conveniently the first Expedition offered to be unlocked through the Horizon Adventure.
Chicken Dinner
- Description and reward : Win your first game of The Eliminator — 30 Gamerscore
There's no guaranteed way to earn the "Chicken Dinner" Achievement, because there's no guaranteed way to win a round of The Eliminator in Forza Horizon 5. This is FH5's Battle Royale game mode, and pits dozens of players against each other across the entirety of Forza Horizon 5's map. Players can find upgraded cars scattered around the map, and challenge other players to head-to-head races that result in one player being eliminated and the other being able to upgrade their car or steal their opponent's.
To earn this Achievement, you have to be the last surviving player in a round of the Eliminator, meaning you need to survive a shrinking playable area, the threat of other players eliminating you in head-to-head races, and the Final Elimination race featuring the final batch of players.
There are several strategies players can employ in order to improve their chances of winning a round of The Eliminator. Keep an eye out for purple clouds nearby, which indicate Car Drops that are potentially better than what you're driving now. Be mindful of other players, and try to engage in head-to-head races only when you feel your car is comparable to that of your opponent's (or you're confident in your driving prowess). Remember that coming to a complete stop for more than a few seconds renders you invisible on the mini-map, while cars that are driving around make noise and are visible to other players.
When challenging another player to a head-to-head race, gain an advantage with the knowledge that head-to-head races always head toward the center of the playable area, giving you a few seconds before the destination appears on your and your opponent's screen. Also bear in mind that, while higher-level cars are typically better, there are trade-offs for off-road versus on-road cars.
Employing all of this plus experience through simply playing The Eliminator means you should eventually walk away with a victory. It may take a while to earn the "Chicken Dinner" Achievement, but it'll be worth the feeling of elation when you do secure that win.
- Description and reward : Fully complete a run of Super7 — 20 Gamerscore
The Super7 comes over from Forza Horizon 4, but has been expanded and evolved under the new "EventLab" umbrella of tools for players and creators. In Forza Horizon 5, players can use Super7 to create Challenge Cards, which are short-form challenges and obstacle courses in which players can drive unique creator cars and do practically anything. There are a constantly growing number of Challenge Cards as part of Super7, which are occasionally surfaced through the map for players to experience. However, to earn the "Jackpot" Achievement, players need to complete a full run of Super7 officially.
To do this, head to the "Creative Hub" tab in the Forza Horizon 5 menu and select "Super7" from the options. Once here, you'll look for "The Horizon Super7" option, which lists seven specific Challenge Cards to complete. These Challenge Cards change every week, and are being highlighted by Playground Games. To earn the "Jackpot" Achievement, you need to complete all seven of these Super7 Challenge Cards. Most Super7 Challenge Cards tend to be relatively easy and are usually a lot of fun, so it, hopefully, shouldn't take too long to complete this Achievement.
Seasoned Veteran
- Description and reward : Complete a Festival Playlist activity in every season — 50 Gamerscore
The Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist changes every week with a new season and all-new activities to complete. In order to earn the "Seasoned Veteran" Achievement, all you need to do is complete any Festival Playlist activity for each of the four seasons. This means that, at minimum, this Achievement will take four weeks to complete. Still, it's a pretty straightforward Achievement to earn, and only requires that you log on at least once a week to check the Festival Playlist and complete any activity.
The Festival Playlist can earn you exclusive cars, cosmetic items, and other rewards, so it's usually worth it to go through and keep up to date with its challenges and rewards. The "Seasoned Veteran" Achievement is also distantly related to the " Min, Meet Max " Achievement, which sees players complete every activity in the Festival Playlist for an entire Series (which consists of four weeks and four seasons).
Racing and Pacing and Plotting the Course
- Description and reward : Win 80 different Race Events in Mexico — 50 Gamerscore
On the surface, it may appear that the "Racing and Pacing and Plotting the Course" Achievement is earned by completing every separate Race Event in Forza Horizon 5, but this isn't necessary. To earn this Achievement, you simply need to complete 80 different Race Events of any kind, which include Festival Playlist challenges and championships, EventLab creations, custom routes and events, and more.
Of course, you can also simply play every Race Event until you earn this Achievement. There are currently 84 different Race Events in Forza Horizon 5, so you'll still have a few left over to complete when you earn the "Racing and Pacing and Plotting the Course" Achievement.
Unbeatable Triumph
- Description and reward : Win six different Race Events against Unbeatable Drivatars — 30 Gamerscore
"Unbeatable Triumph" is certainly a difficult Achievement, tasking players with taking on the most difficult AI and coming out on top in six different Race Events. This Achievement is nearly impossible for all but the most skilled of players in normal Race Events (or possibly players taking advantage of situations where FH5's AI struggle to keep up). However, there is one solid way to earn this Achievement and potentially gain some awesome rewards at the same time.
Every week in the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist , there is The Trial. This weekly challenge pits a team of Hall of Fame players against an opposing team of Unbeatable Drivatars in a three-race Championship, in which the team that first wins two races takes home the trophy. You'll still have to be confident in your driving skills, and it's necessary that you've also reached the Hall of Fame (also earning you the " Hall of Famer " Achievement). To increase your chances, also check what the car restrictions and race type for this week's The Trial are, and tune a car specifically for the event.
Once you're prepared, begin entering The Trials. These events are difficult even for experienced racers, but every individual Race Event you win tracks towards the "Unbeatable Triumph" Achievement, making it a bit easier to earn this Achievement. On top of that, successfully winning The Trial can gain you a lot of progress in the Festival Playlist and earn you some valuable rewards.
Living Legend
- Description and reward : Earn 294 Stars from PR Stunts in Mexico — 50 Gamerscore
Forza Horizon 5 features hundreds of PR Stunts across its map, including Speed Traps, Speed Zones, Drift Zones, Trailblazers, and Danger Signs. To earn the "Living Legend" Achievement, you'll need to earn 294 unique Stars from PR Stunts in FH5. Each PR Stunt can grant up to three Stars, depending on how well you perform. You won't have to completely master every single PR Stunt in Forza Horizon 5 to earn this Achievement, but you will have to earn three Stars in a lot of them.
Mastering PR Stunts in Forza Horizon 5 means pairing an appropriate car to the challenge ahead, often with a custom tune, and mastering the unique challenges raised at every PR Stunt until you're able to earn three Stars. Overall, Speed Traps tend to be the easiest PR Stunts to 100%, with Danger Signs close behind. Speed Zones and Trailblazers may require more practice and skill to earn three Stars at. Finally, Drift Zones can be quite difficult if you're not familiar with drifting in Forza Horizon 5. To earn three Stars at these PR Stunts, make sure to practice your drifting a lot and play with various drift car tunes that more experienced players have created.
I Have the High Ground
- Description and reward : Win 3 Rivals Events in 3 different PI Classes while driving the same car — 30 Gamerscore
Rivals Events in Forza Horizon 5 pit you against one other player's ghost (an ephemeral representation of their attempt) on any of the game's various tracks, and your goal is to best your opponent's time with a clean lap (no collisions or rewinds). To earn the "I Have the High Ground" Achievement, you need to beat three opponent's times in the same car across three different PI Classes. This sounds more difficult than it actually is, and just takes some time.
First, you need to choose the car you wish you use. Choose a car that's a lower PI Class (this is the number that summarizes the proficiency of your car, including D, C, B, A, S1, S2, and X Classes) and can be easily upgraded into at least two higher PI Classes. Many classic muscle cars are solid choices, but it's entirely up to you and your preferences. Once you've selected a car, you can either prepare your own tunes to bring the car to the top of three different PI Classes, or you can rely on community-created tunes to get the job done.
Next, you need to choose the Rivals Events you want to complete in. You can choose any Events you want, but at the moment only Road Races appear to work, so keep this in mind. Then, all you have to do is beat your opponent's time with a clean lap on three different Rivals Events, each time changing your car to a new PI Class.
Some players have reported issues earning this Achievement. If you're having trouble earning it even after fulfilling all the requirements, many players have reported that clocking a "dirty lap" (getting a collision or using rewind) and then immediately getting a clean lap that beats your opponent's time increased their chances of getting this Achievement. Switching to different tracks also reportedly helps.
Unlimited Prowess!
- Description and reward : Complete Round Three in all 5 Themes of Horizon Arcade — 20 Gamerscore
Horizon Arcade is an aspect of Forza Horizon 5's online, and takes place in Horizon Life (the online-connected open world of FH5). Periodically, players will be able to participate in group events ranging through five different categories: Air, Speed, Drift, Chaos, and Wreckage Themes. Each of these Themes features a variety of mini-games, and each game of Horizon Arcade features three rounds of mini-games for players and teams to complete. For each round you complete, you earn Forzathon Points to spend at the FH5 Festival Playlist .
To earn the "Unlimited Prowess!" Achievement, you need to fully complete all three rounds of Horizon Arcade in each of the five Themes. To do this, keep an eye on the Forza Horizon 5 map. Horizon Arcade Events appear as large pink circles on the map, and are labelled with their theme. You can hover over the circles to see when the Horizon Arcade Event begins. New Horizon Arcade Events start every 10 to 15 minutes, so you never have to wait long to find one. Simply keep in mind which Themes you've yet to play, and wait for missing Horizon Arcade Themes to appear on the map.
While Horizon Arcade events are built to be played as a team, ongoing online matchmaking issues mean you're often not guaranteed to play with other players. Fortunately, it's now possible to complete Horizon Arcade Events completely by yourself. To ensure you're able to easily complete all three rounds of any Horizon Arcade Theme, make sure to switch to cars more appropriate for each Theme. For example, Speed Events are best tackled with a quick sports car, while Wreckage Events may prefer a durable off-roading vehicle.
Once you've completed Round Three in all five Horizon Arcade Themes, you'll earn this Achievement. To help you keep track, you can also pin the "Unlimited Prowess!" Accolade to your screen from the Accolades menu.
Ride and Seek
- Description and reward : Discover and drive every road in Mexico — 20 Gamerscore
The Forza Horizon 5 map features hundreds of roads to discover and explore, and is the largest map in any Forza Horizon game so far. Of course FH5 is going to reward you for successfully driving down every road in the game, which is exactly how you earn the "Ride and Seek" Achievement. This Achievement is undeniably time-consuming, but isn't exactly difficult to obtain.
Anytime you drive down a road for the first time in Forza Horizon 5, whether it's during a Race Event, Expedition, Showcase, Horizon Story, or simply while exploring, it's marked as discovered and is filled in on your map. Once you've discovered every area and have explored a lot of FH5, you can use the map to track down any roads you missed. Opening the map, you can filter everything off the map by untoggling "All," which reveals all the roads (discovered and not) in Forza Horizon 5.
Zoom into the map and slowly pan, bit by bit, to spy any roads you've missed. Keep in mind you have to drive down the majority of a road for it to count as discovered, meaning roads may appear to be explored but still have greyed out sections somewhere along their lengths. There are also plenty of smaller roads scattered across the map that count as separate roads to be discovered and driven down.
This Achievement is made a lot easier if you own the Buenas Vistas Player House , which allows you to instantly Fast Travel to any road on the map. Finally, it's worth noting that, for many players, this Achievement popped before they actually drove down every road in Forza Horizon 5. For me, this Achievement was earned a full five roads lower than the actual number of driveable roads in FH5. To earn the in-game Accolade of the same name, you will have to drive down every road.
Min, Meet Max
- Description and reward : Complete all Events in a Festival Playlist Series — 20 Gamerscore
The Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist is regularly updated with new challenges, activities, and rewards for players to peruse and explore. It's a great way to decide what to play next, and adds a lot to Forza Horizon 5 over time. For completionists, it's another thing to attempt to 100%, which is exactly how to earn the "Min, Meet Max" Achievement. To earn this Achievement, you need to 100% complete an entire Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Series, which spans four Seasons over four weeks.
In theory, this Achievement is earned simply by ensuring you log on regularly and complete every Daily Challenge, Weekly Challenge, activity, challenge, and more in the Festival Playlist every week, earning every Playlist Point and filling up each week's progress bar. However, players have had difficulties completing this Achievement due to issues with various activities and challenges not being completable or bugging out.
This includes Daily Challenges not completing when finished, Treasure Chests not appearing, Events not marking as completed, and more. Unfortunately, there's not a lot you can do to get around these problems, unless there are specific workarounds or you get lucky. Playground Games is constantly working to resolve these issues, but it may be a while before the majority of players are able to earn this Achievement.
Better Than New
- Description and reward : Restore 14 Barn Finds in Mexico — 20 Gamerscore
Barn Finds have returned Forza Horizon 5, and there are 15 in total. The "Better Than New" Achievement is earned by finding and restoring 14 Forza Horizon 5 Barn Finds , which can take a considerable amount of time. The only Barn Find that doesn't count towards this Achievement is the Vocho, which is earned through completing the Vocho Horizon Story. You can refer to the aforementioned Barn Finds guide for a breakdown of every Barn Find that we discover, how to unlock them, and what car you'll earn for finding them.
Complete Collection
- Description and reward : Find and smash all 250 Bonus Boards in Mexico — 30 Gamerscore
Forza Horizon 5 features 250 different Bonus Boards scattered all across its map, each of which needs to be discovered and smashed to earn the "Complete Collection" Achievement. Barn Finds can be found practically everywhere, oftentimes in hard-to-reach places that require creative jumps and leaps to reach. It takes quite some time to find all 250, but doing so will net you plenty of XP towards levels and Wheelspins, as well as discounts towards Fast Travels (eventually making Fast Travelling completely free).
Bonus Boards will automatically appear on your map when you get close to them while exploring, meaning you'll find the vast majority of them just by driving around the map. For any you've missed and can't find, you can rely on the Forza Horizon 5 Treasure Map , which reveals the locations of all Bonus Boards, or the help of other Forza Horizon 5 players.
You also have to smash every Bonus Board, though, which comes with its own unique challenges. Some Bonus Boards are on roofs, or perched under highway bridges, or even suspended on a power pylon. Each of this precariously placed Bonus Boards require skillful jumps to reach, often taking time and effort to accomplish. If you struggle to nail one of these tricky Bonus Boards, there are plenty of videos online showing how other players have accomplished it (for many of these Bonus Boards, there is more than one right way).
Ford of the Wings
- Description and reward : Earn 3 Stars at the Eagle's Perch Danger Sign in a Ford Supervan 3 — 20 Gamerscore
Players will have to acquire the ludicrously fast 1994 Ford Supervan 3 to earn the "Ford of the Wings" Achievement, which tasks you with earning three Stars at the Eagle's Perch Danger Sign PR Stunt. After you've opened the Horizon Rush Festival Site and revealed all PR Stunts on the map, you can find the Eagle's Perch Danger Sign in the bottom right-hand corner of the map, in the Gran Pantano region.
The 1994 Ford Supervan 3 can be purchased from the Autoshow for a hefty 500,000 Credits, earned from Wheelspins, or nabbed from the Auction House if another player puts it up for sale. However you obtain your vehicle, you'll need to tune it up. You can either tune it yourself or use another player's pre-existing tune, but be prepared to sink another 100,000 Credits in the Supervan to get it up to speed.
To earn this Achievement, you'll need to hit the Danger Sign traveling at least 190Mph in order to earn 3Stars, which isn't terribly difficult to accomplish with the right tune. The biggest obstacle to this Achievement is simply acquiring the mildly expensive 1994 Ford Supervan 3.
- Description and reward : Purchase all 7 Player Houses — 30 Gamerscore
There are seven Player Houses in Forza Horizon 5 , which can all be earned in different ways. Refer to the aforementioned player houses guide for a breakdown of every player house in Forza Horizon 5, including its location and how you can acquire it. The first player house, Casa Bella, is given to players for free near the beginning of the game. However, other houses will require you to splash some cash, or feature some other method for unlocking.
- Description and reward : Win the Goliath Race Event — 20 Gamerscore
The Goliath is a legendary Race Event that has featured in several Forza Horizon titles, and spans the entirety of the map. In Forza Horizon 5, the Goliath is bigger than ever to reflect the size of FH5's map. Winning the aforementioned Event is the key to earning the "Long Gone" Achievement. To unlock the Goliath in the first place, you'll need to progress through the Horizon Adventure and unlock it under the Horizon Mexico Festival Site.
Once you've unlocked the Goliath, be prepared for 15 to 20 minutes of solid racing. Choose a car you're comfortable with (and is well-suited to road racing), and be aware you can use the rewind function liberally should you make any major mistakes during the race. You can be on any difficulty and any PI Class, can restart or rewind as many times as you want, and can drive any car you desire. All that's important is that, at the end of the race, you're the one in first place.
The moment you win the Goliath Race Event, you'll get a congratulatory voice quip and earn the "Long Gone" Achievement.
Gotta Smash 'Em All
- Description and reward : Complete 5 Seasonal Smashable Challenges — 10 Gamerscore
Another Achievement related to the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist , "Gotta Smash 'Em All" tasks players with completing five Smashable Challenges as part of the aforementioned Festival Playlist. This Achievement isn't difficult to earn in terms of gameplay, but it may take a long time to actually obtain. Smashable Challenges aren't guaranteed to appear in every Season of every Festival Playlist, and are actually quite uncommon.
Smashable Challenges require that you drive over and destroy a precise number of a certain object, often in a specific car or car type. This may range from destroying 50 cacti in any Ford to demolishing 25 seasonal objects celebrating a holiday, and anything in between. Some of these challenges can take a little bit of time, as you have to track down the objects in question to smash them.
Every time a new Season starts in the Festival Playlist, scroll to the end to the "Challenges" section and check if any Smashable Challenges are listed. Any you complete here will count towards this Achievement. There's only ever one Smashable Challenge per Season, and (so far), we've only seen a handful of Smashable Challenges throughout all the Festival Playlist Series. Remaining diligent and keeping an eye on the Festival Playlist as new Series updates roll out will ensure you earn this Achievement in time.
Cactus Makes Perfect
- Description and reward : Smash 500 cacti during Mexico's Wet Season — 10 Gamerscore
"Cactus Makes Perfect" asks players to smash an astounding 500 cacti during a specific Season in Forza Horizon 5. There's nothing fancy or special you have to do to complete this Achievement. Just wait until Summer, or the Wet Season (you can check the current Season through the Festival Playlist), and drive into the desert (the area surrounding the Horizon Mexico Festival Site is a great location) to smash cacti to your heart's content. It'll take a while to smash all 500, but persistence will get you there.
If you're eager to earn this Achievement and aren't willing to wait until Summer rolls around, you can create a custom EventLab Blueprint for a Cross-Country Race during the Wet Season with no AI Drivatar opponents.
A Royal Affair
- Description and reward : At sunrise, take a photo of your car with some monarch butterflies at Hotel Mirador Balderrama — 10 Gamerscore
The "A Royal Affair" Achievement is a tricky one, since it requires that you take a picture of one of Forza Horizon 5's more beautiful easter eggs. Every sunrise during the Hot Season, Spring (yes, it only happens during this one Season), monarch butterflies appear around Hotel Mirador Balderrama near the top of the map on the right side, by the Las Ranas Cross-Country Race Event. To earn this Achievement, you need to use the Photo Mode in FH5 to snap a pic of your car with the monarch butterflies.
While you can certainly wait until the correct Season rolls around and then sit patiently until dawn rolls around in the exact location the butterflies appear, it's a lot easier to either create a custom EventLab Blueprint at the aforementioned Las Ranas Cross-Country Race Event with the correct Season and time of day, or take advantage of a community created solution (which can be found by searching "A Royal Affair" in EventLab). Either way, open Photo Mode immediately as the race starts and look behind you to find the butterflies you're looking for. Once you take a photo, you'll earn this Achievement.
It's not important what car you use in the photo.
Dust in the Lens
- Description and reward : Take a photo featuring the Gran Telescopio and a dust storm — 10 Gamerscore
While not as specific as the " A Royal Affair " Achievement, "Dust in the Lens" still requires that you take a rather precise picture during a set time of the year in Forza Horizon 5. During Winter, or the Dry Season, dust storms have a chance to form in the desert. This Achievement is earned when you take a picture with the Gran Telescopio, a giant telescope built on top of Gran Caldera (the giant volcano) and a dust storm.
You're welcome to create your own EventLab Blueprint to build these conditions if you're not willing to wait for the semi-random dust storms to appear while you sit near the Gran Telescopio. There are also a variety of community-created Blueprints already present in the game if you search "Dust in the Lens" in EventLab.
It's not important what car you use in the photo, but players have reported better luck earning this Achievement when there is a car in the picture. Players also reported being near Gran Telescopio is more effective than attempting to snap a pic from a distance while a dust storm rages.
Stunning Photography
- Description and reward : Take a photo during a tropical storm — 10 Gamerscore
Another photo challenge, the "Stunning Photography" Achievement requires that you take a photo in the middle of a tropical storm, which occurs in Forza Horizon 5 during Autumn, or the Storm Season. You can use previous strategies to accomplish this, like creating a custom Blueprint Event or using one from EventLab, or simply waiting for a tropical storm to happen. However, an easy way to earn this Achievement early one (and four others at the same time), is by completing the Tulum Expedition through Horizon Adventure.
The Tulum Expedition can be unlocked early in the game, grants you access to the Horizon Apex Festival Site, and has a ton of Achievements that can be unlocked simply by playing it and completing the optional objectives. Once you leave Tulum after completing the optional objectives, the tropical storm is in full swing and taking a picture at any time nets you this Achievement.
A Heart of Gold
- Description and reward : Send another player a Gift Drop — 10 Gamerscore
One of the biggest focuses for Forza Horizon 5 was cementing the bonds community members share with each other, culminating in a brand-new feature similar to the game's Barn Finds . Gift Drops allow players to customize and tune any car in their garage and gift it to a random player anywhere in the world. On the receiving end, players can travel to Barn Find locations to discover and pick up Gift Drops given to them by other players.
To earn the "A Heart of Gold" Achievement, all you need to do is send a Gift Drop to another player in Forza Horizon 5. you can find "Gift Drop" in the "My Horizon" section of Forza Horizon 5's pause menu. From here, you can select any car from your garage and choose to send it to any FH5 player, new Forza Horizon players, returning players, players who recently reached the Hall of Fame, or community contributors and creators. You can also choose one of a few category-specific messages, as well as whether or not you want to sign the gift.
Many players use the Gift Drop feature to offload any duplicate cars in their garage. To really make your Gift Drops special, it's always nice to equip your cars with custom liveries or tunes, that way the receiving player is getting something unique. It feels great to send or receive Gift Drops, especially when you get something valuable or custom.
You can't send Gift Drops to specific players, as Playground Games wants to avoid exploits and cars being sold for real-world money. On the other hand, it doesn't matter what car you send or which group of players you send it to when earning this Achievement.
Water Performance
- Description and reward : Earn 3 Stars at the Puerta Pétrea and La Marisma Trailblazers within three minutes and thirty seconds — 20 Gamerscore
As far as sheer difficulty is concerned, the "Water Performance" Achievement is near the top for Forza Horizon 5. Earning 3 Stars at a Trailblazer PR Stunt isn't always easy to do consistently, and this Achievement challenges players to master two Trailblazers within two uninterrupted minutes. The Puerta Pétrea and La Marisma Trailblazers, both located in the bottom right-hand corner of the map, are the PR Stunts of choice in this Achievement, and players need to start at one and finish at the other, earning 3 Stars at both, within two minutes without fast traveling.
Earning this Achievement will take time, plain and simple. First you need to choose a car you're comfortable with and is well-suited to 100% completing Trailblazers. Good choices include off-road or rally cars tuned to upper S1-Class or higher, or S2-Class sports cars and supercars that can handle going off road without losing control. The 2011 BMW X5 M Forza Edition, if you have the VIP Membership DLC , is a solid choice.
Once you've selected a car, spend ample time at each Trailblazer until you can consistently earn 3 Stars without struggling. Each Trailblazer has multiple paths and strategies you can use to accomplish this, so you can experiment and watch other players online to figure out a plan if you're struggling. Once you're confident with each Trailblazer, you can attempt to complete this Achievement.
Here are some tips and tricks: pinning the "Water Performance" Accolade from the "Trailblazers" section can help you keep track of your time; it's a little easier to start at La Marisma, as you can follow the coastline up to Puerta Pétrea with ease; the timer doesn't actually begin until you complete one of the Trailblazers, so keep this in mind; finally, you can use Rewind if you make any mistakes, but remember that Rewind does not give you back any time.
You're the Champion
- Description and reward : Win any Event in Horizon Open — 10 Gamerscore
Winning an Event in Horizon Open, Forza Horizon 5's suite of online multiplayer game modes, may be a difficult challenge for those that aren't world-class racers in Forza Horizon titles, at least on the surface. Horizon Open includes Racing Events, Drifting, Playground Games, and The Eliminator, any of which can contribute to this Achievement. Winning any of these can require significant levels of skill or luck, but there is a fairly easy way to earn the "You're the Champion" Achievement.
Through the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist , every week features the Seasonal Playground Games, which are team-based Playground Games that are technically a part of Horizon Open. Two teams of up to six players take part in five rounds, in which the first team to win three rounds wins the entire game. You have a decent chance of winning Seasonal Playground Games, as long as you participate and get a good team. Going this route, you shouldn't have to play more than a few times to earn this Achievement.
Treasure Hunter
- Description and reward : Find all Treasure Chests in a Festival Playlist Series — 20 Gamerscore
Another kind of challenge found in the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist are Treasure Hunts, which include smashable Treasure Chests at the end. In order to earn the "Treasure Hunter" Achievement, you need to find every Treasure Chest in an entire Festival Playlist Series, or four complete Seasons. Normally, this Achievement wouldn't be too difficult, especially since there's no guarantee a Treasure Chest will appear every Season (it seems to average around two a Series), but so far several Treasure Hunts have been bugged.
This Achievement may require some patience, same as the " Min, Meet Max " Achievement, as Playground Games improves these issues. Keep an eye on the Festival Playlist as new Seasons release, and attempt the Treasure Hunts as they come. Each Treasure Hunt comes with a riddle clue, which tells you what to do to reveal the area the Treasure Chest is located. If you're struggling to decipher what the clue means, take a look online for other players that have figured it out, since it can sometimes not be terribly obvious.
Front Runner
- Description and reward : Finish 5 Horizon Tour Race Events ahead of all Drivatars — 20 Gamerscore
Horizon Tour is an accessible online multiplayer game mode in Forza Horizon 5 in which a team of you and five other players takes on a team of six low-skilled AI Drivatars across three Racing Events, with lovely team cruises between each race location. Horizon Tour is a great way to ease into online racing in FH5, and it can be a lot of fun in general if you're not looking for a lot of difficulty. The "Front Runner" Achievement is earned by completing five Horizon Tour Race Events (individual races, not full Horizon Tours) in front of every opponent Drivatar.
This may seem difficult at first, but it's usually not too hard to accomplish. Make sure your car is tuned for the category and race types of the Horizon Tour championship you're entering, and enjoy the race! You'll need to have racing experience in Forza Horizon 5 to finish ahead of every Drivatar, but the AI difficulty is turned down a good way to make the experience more accessible to players. This is not The Trial. If you play well and your team contributes, you should be able to earn this Achievement in two or three Horizon Tours.
- Description and reward : Find a place to install the Horizon Pulse Radio Beacon — 10 Gamerscore
The final Forza Horizon 5 Achievement is yet another Achievement earned by completing the Tulum Expedition through the Horizon Adventure. When you reach Tulum and are confronted with the optional objectives, one mission is to find a place to install the Horizon Pulse Radio Beacon. You can find the platform for doing so in the bottom left-hand corner of the mission area. The moment you place the Horizon Pulse Radio Beacon, you'll earn the "New Tune" Achievement. Completing the Tulum Expedition also builds the Horizon Apex Festival Site.

A win for the breakaway as the peloton couldn’t get it together.
Stage Winner: Benjamin Thomas (Cofidis)
Race Leader: Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates)
May 8, 2024—Another flat-ish day, another sprint finish. That was supposed to be the script for Wednesday’s fifth stage of the Giro d’Italia. But if there’s a theme emerging from the early stages of this year’s Giro, it’s to expect the unexpected.
Because in a move that seems ever-more-rare, the day’s breakaway stuck, the charging group of sprinters behind unable to catch up.
At the end of the 178-kilometer stage, Benjamin Thomas captured Cofidis’s first win this season. Behind him were EF Education-EasyPost’s Michael Valgren, Andrea Pietrobon of Polti Kometa, and Groupama-FDJ’s Enzo Paleni. The group spent about half of the day with a lead of around one minute over the peloton.
Eight seconds behind Paleni, Lidl-Trek’s Jonathan Milan—the current maglia ciclamino— led the rest of the peloton across the line.
With 5 kilometers to the finish, the four-man breakaway had a solid forty-second lead and it seemed as though the peloton couldn’t organize themselves enough to reel them back in. Ineos Grenadiers had the most notable attack, but pulled off after the 3-kilometer mark, ostensibly working to protect their lead man Geraint Thomas’s time.
From there, nothing much materialized and the breakaway was allowed to duke it out themselves for the win.
“I said maybe today’s my day,” said the French Thomas, who captured both his first WorldTour and Grand Tour victories with the win. “Everything is perfect today. I knew the final because I trained there sometimes. I knew the Montemagno in the final, and it helped me, knowing the cobbles and the corners. It's a nice thing to win in Italy. It means a lot to me.”
Thomas, who is a seasoned track racer, likened the four-man break to a “long, long team pursuit.”
Valgren added that the topography of the parcours aided the breakaway’s chances.
“It was actually only with three or four ks to go (that we thought we could win) because you always think the peloton will take 10-seconds-per-kilometer more or less,” Valgren said after the race. “We kept working well together and there was in our favor kind of downhill. Chapeau to the other guys for working well together. We didn't start to play the games, so it was nice.”
The one thing that was expected was that nothing much changed in the GC battle. UAE Team Emirates’ Tadej Pogačar remains forty-six seconds clear of Geraint Thomas and forty-seven seconds ahead of BORA-hansgrohe’s lead man, Dani Martinez.
Jonathan Milan Wins Sprint Finish
Stage Winner: Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek)
May 7, 2024—For the second straight day, the Giro d’Italia ended with a flat sprint that was almost nabbed with a daring and unexpected last-minute attack.
The 190-kilometer route from Acqui Terme to Andora started with a gradual ride into the day’s only categorized climb, the category 3 Colle del Melogno, where the KOM points were taken by Intermarché-Wanty’s Lilian Calmejane. After that, it was an almost wholly downsloping back half of the stage, ending with a straight, flat shot into the seaside town of Andora.
If the peloton felt a bit jumpy heading into Andora, it no doubt had to do with Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) and Geraint Thomas’s (INEOS Grenadiers) almost successful late break in yesterday’s sprint stage.
And then, just like yesterday, a solo attack was launched with plenty of racing left. Today, it was Ineos-Grenadiers’ Filippo Ganna, one of the fastest solo bike racers that’s ever lived, who attacked at the foot of the day’s final pitch, the Capo Mele, with 4 km to go. However, the long-distance attack was once again in vain, as he was caught and swallowed up with just a few hundred meters to go.
Moments later, another Italian, Lidl-Trek’s Jonathan Milan, launched a furious and commanding 300-meter sprint that would net him his second Giro stage win, exactly one year to the day from his first.
Meanwhile, Dani Martínez, who entered the day in third place in the GC standings, suffered a late-stage mechanical. Lucky for the BORA-hansgrohe racer, it was within the final 3 kilometers, meaning he was awarded the same time as the bunch ahead and lost no extra time to Pogačar and Thomas.
In sad news, Biniam Girmay (Intermarché-Wanty) slid out on a slick descent with about 62 kilometers left, crashing out of the race with an injury. It was a brutal reminder of the Eritrean’s luck, who, moments after becoming the first Black African rider to win a Grand Tour stage in 2022’s Giro, suffered a freak injury when the cork from his celebratory champagne bottle shot him in the eye, causing him to abandon the race with a hemorrhage in his eye.
“We saw Ganna going full gas in the last climb, and we just had to catch him,” said Milan of his Italian track teammate. “Today, the guys did such an amazing job. This experience was special because my parents were here today. I’m really happy about it,” Milan, who won last year’s maglia ciclamino, added.
After the race, second-place finisher Kaden Groves said the day’s blisteringly high speeds made the stage “quite scary at times.” And when asked about how his Alpecin-Deceuninck team was shaping up over the Giro’s first week, Groves said, “We’re getting there.”
Soudal Quick-Step’s Tim Merlier Takes Sprint Victory Amidst GC Favorites’ Late Attack
Stage Winner: Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step)
May 6, 2024 – The sprinters had their first chance to shine, as the race’s third stage from Novara to Fassano featured just 750 meters of elevation over 166 kilometers.
However, it wasn’t without a bit of drama, as the race’s biggest GC favorites launched a thrilling attack over the last four kilometers, throwing a wrench into what was expected to be a straightforward day. After an early move from EF-Education EasyPost’s Mikkel Honore, Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) and Geraint Thomas (INEOS Grenadiers) followed, forming a small, three-man breakaway that, for a moment, looked as though it might stay away from the group.
Honoré was swallowed up by the group with about 1 kilometer to go, and given the day’s high pace and series of breakaways, there was some thought that Pogačar and Thomas’s attack might just stick. However, the two GC men were caught with about 400 meters to go, setting up the bunch sprint everyone expected the day to end with.
Soudal Quick-Step’s Tim Merlier nipped a group at the line that included Lidl-Trek’s Jonathan Milan and Intermarche Wanty’s Biniam Girmay, who rounded out the day’s podium, along with Arkea’s Jenthe Biermans and dsm-Firmeninch PostNL’s Tobias Lund Andersen.
After a masterful recovery from a late crash to win Sunday’s second stage, Pogačar started the day in the maglia rosa , forty-five seconds clear of Dani Martínez of BORA-hansgrohe and Geraint Thomas of Ineos Grenadiers. By the time stage 3 was over, those standings remained exactly the same.
“It wasn’t the plan,” Thomas said of the two-man attack over the closing kilometers. “We just wanted to stay out of trouble.”
He added that, over the final few hundred meters, it took everything he had to keep contact with Pogačar. “I was just trying to hold his wheel,” Thomas said, admitting that the attack was never part of the day’s plan.
“It was the hardest victory so far,” stage winner Merlier said of the unexpected chase he and his group of sprinters found themselves in as Thomas and Pogačar rode away. Merlier said he hesitated, causing him to miss out on his leadout man, and eventually forcing him to attack directly into the wind without any support.
Tadej Pogačar Wins Stage 2 and Takes the Maglia Rosa
Stage Winner: Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates)
May 5, 2024 - Tadej Pogačar of UAE Team Emirates wins Stage 2 of the Giro d’Italia 2024 and takes the Maglia Rosa. Twenty-seven seconds behind, Dani Martínez (Bora-hansgrohe) takes second, and Geraint Thomas (INEOS Grenadiers) is third.
It was a masterful performance by UAE Team Emirates once Pogačar made it back to the front of the peloton after a small crash due to a front flat tire. The Slovenian leads Thomas and Martinez by 45" in the General Classification.
In the post-race interview, Pogačar was asked if he panicked after crashing in the lead-up to the last climb. “Not really. I was quite calm. I hit a hole in the city and had a super fast flat tire. There was a bit of confusion. I wanted to stop before the corner, but the DS said, ‘No, no, after the corner.’ I was feeling good. The team was super good today. And then we set the pace that we like and it was perfect,” said the race leader.
“I didn’t know the climb well. Everybody was maybe doing this climb for the first time, and it was hard to guess where to do the [hard] pacing, but I think we did a really good job today. And it was super good the last pull of Rafał Majka in the hard part so that I could attack,” Pogačar added.
“I just wanted a stage win today and some gap. Test the legs a little bit. And the [goal] was to take the pink jersey. Now I can relax a little bit in the next few days with the team and we stay safe in the sprints.”

Geraint Thomas of INEOS Grenadiers found himself meeting his limit in today’s stage. “It was so hard to follow, but I knew if I tried to keep going I would completely blow up. I felt bad for sitting on Ben [O’Connor], but I was on the limit for a while there,” said Thomas in the post-race interview.
Regarding Pogačar’s crash, Thomas said, “Honestly, I didn’t know until I was on the climb, and someone said Tadej was back. The plan was to go to the front, not to attack, but to stay safe on the front.”
Narváez Upstages Pogačar to Secure Stage 1 Victory and Maglia Rosa
Stage Winner: Jhonatan Narváez (INEOS Grenadiers)
Race Leader: Jhonatan Narváez (INEOS Grenadiers)
May 4, 2024 - The opening stage of the Giro d’Italia produced plenty of fireworks and a surprise winner on the line. Team UAE Emirates set it up perfectly for Tadej Pogačar on the opening stage. After some long-lasting breakaways were caught, Pogačar broke free in the last four kilometers with Jhonatan Narváez (INEOS Grenadiers) and Max Schachmann (Bora-Hansgrohe). The Slovenian just couldn’t gap those two rivals, and it set it up for a sprint finish. In a bit of a surprise, it was Narváez, the 27-year-old Ecuadorian national champion, outsprinting Schachmann (second on the stage) and Pogačar (third). Narváez earns the first Maglia Rosa of the 2024 Tour of Italy.
Though he didn’t win the stage, Pogačar will head into Stage 2 with an advantage over many of his top GC rivals. Geraint Thomas (INEOS Grenadiers) was 10 seconds behind Pogačar on the stage and, after factoring in time bonuses, 14 seconds behind Pogačar in the GC standings.
Watch Stage 1 Highlights on the Giro d’Italia’s YouTube Channel
“It was a great feeling. We knew it was going to be a stage for me, and I worked a lot on it,” Narváez said in the post-race interview. “Following the best guy in the world on the climb was really hard, so it’s a special victory today. It’s still hurting me now. It was really hard—really, really hard. But in the end, I made it.”
“I think [Pogačar] went too long in the sprint, 200 meters after a really hard stage, and I did a short sprint, and in the end, I took the victory. For me, it’s amazing. There aren’t many opportunities in a Grand Tour to get the maglia rosa on the first day because you have a bunch sprint, a TT, or a different stage. Today was a good opportunity. I worked really, really hard for it,” added Narváez.

The 5 boro bike tour: tough to arrange, tough to finish.
The organizer of the event, which takes place on Sunday, says it’s harder to stage than the New York City Marathon.
By James Barron
Good morning. It’s Friday. Today we’ll look at what it takes to stage the Five Boro Bike Tour, scheduled for Sunday. We’ll also get details about an appellate decision in a case that could force changes in policies at public schools with selective admissions policies.
Kenneth Podziba began by saying that it was harder to stage the Five Boro Bike Tour than it was to stage the New York City Marathon.
He is the president and chief executive of Bike New York, a nonprofit group that promotes happenings like the bike tour, which is scheduled for Sunday.
Then he said that he did not want to sound as if he was “bashing or belittling the Road Runners” — the New York Road Runners, the organization that puts on the marathon, the largest of its kind in the world. But Podziba did not, um, backpedal. Mounting the bike tour, the largest of its kind, “is a lot harder,” he said.
How so? Both events cover much of the same ground, from the 2.6-mile-long Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge to highways like the Franklin D. Roosevelt Drive and the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. But Podziba said that bicyclists were different from runners. They face hazards that marathoners do not have to worry about.
That is why the bike tour has blowtorches at the ready.
The volunteers carrying them look for expansion joints — narrow connectors between strips of pavement that give the concrete room to move. Only a little, to be sure. But there are two long expansion joints on the F.D.R. that go in the same direction as the traffic, creating a potential hazard for cyclists who do not see them in time to swerve away, Podziba said.
On the Third Avenue Bridge, where the expansion joints run across the road, “the gaps are large enough” to pose problems, he said. Runners would probably not notice the unevenness, but a bicycle rider could go over the handlebars if a tire hit at the wrong angle.
The solution? Put tape over the expansion joints.
The tape will not stick if the joints are wet, Podziba said, so on a damp day the bike tour volunteers go out with blowtorches to dry the joints — carefully, said Podziba, who was the city’s sports commissioner under two mayors, Rudolph Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg, and served as deputy commissioner of the Taxi and Limousine Commission.
After looking at the rainy forecast for Sunday, he said that “it looks like we will need to use the blowtorches.” (A spokeswoman for the New York Road Runners said that “we don’t employ this method” and noted that her group worked with the Department of Transportation “to ensure the marathon course is safe for all participants.” Bike New York does, too, Podziba said. The two groups also coordinate with other city agencies, like the Police Department. And Bike New York removes the tape from the expansion joints once the cyclists have ridden by.)
And then there are the potholes.
Before the marathon, the Road Runners can put a cone over a pothole, Podziba said, but, he added, “we can’t.” The bike tour has volunteers who wave riders around potholes. Volunteers also work to smooth out potential bottlenecks like one that Podziba was concerned about on Kent Avenue in Brooklyn, where he said a lane was partly closed for construction work. The bike tour will close that lane all the way so that riders do not have to snake in and out on Sunday.
Different starting points
The two events start in different places — the marathon on Staten Island, the bike tour in Manhattan, at Church Street and Franklin Street in TriBeCa. (The 32,000 riders have been divided into six groups, called waves, that will pedal off at different times on Sunday morning.)
They also end in different places — the marathon in Central Park, the bike tour at Fort Wadsworth, on Staten Island, where there is an after-party.
The bike tour now draws so many riders that Fort Wadsworth “isn’t big enough,” Podziba said, adding, “We need a natural flow of people leaving.”
There is another difference between the bike tour and the marathon. The bicyclists can get a blessing on Saturday at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine.
It is something the cathedral has offered cyclists, but not runners, for more than 20 years.
“But we could,” said the dean of the cathedral, the Very Rev. Patrick Malloy, who will officiate at the service.
He will sprinkle holy water on each bicycle before the cyclists take “a festive lap inside the cathedral,” walking the length of the nave while ringing the bells on their bikes. Officials from the Department of Transportation will also be at the cathedral for a helmet giveaway for cyclists who need one — and on Sunday, they will. Bike New York says that helmetless riders will be asked to leave.
It will be a partly sunny day in the mid-60s. The evening will be partly cloudy, with temperatures in the high 40s.

Lawsuit challenging school admissions moves forward
A lawsuit that could force changes in policies at New York City public schools with selective admissions policies is moving forward .
A New York appellate court ruled that a lower court judge had erred in dismissing the case.
At issue is what the lawsuit calls “pernicious racial inequality” in city schools, where students are sorted into two different academic tracks starting as early as kindergarten. The lawsuit argues that the system makes racial inequality worse by assigning children to either general elementary school classes or to specialized gifted and talented classes. Children on the gifted-and-talented track are often channeled into selected middle and high schools.
The lawsuit says that many Black and Latino students face “systematic exclusion” from the gifted and selective pipelines and are denied a sound education, as promised by the New York State Constitution. In 2021, when the lawsuit was filed, gifted and talented classes for elementary school students were about 75 percent white and Asian American, and there were relatively few gifted programs in predominantly Black and Latino neighborhoods.
Mark Rosenbaum, one of the lawyers who filed the lawsuit, said the decision allowing the case to proceed was “the beginning of the end of the two-tiered education system in New York City.”
City education officials said on Thursday that they were reviewing the court’s decision. But Daniel Weisberg, the first deputy chancellor, pointed to plans to open nine new schools in the fall — including some in underserved areas — in an effort, he said, to give “everybody the best opportunity to get a great education.”

Off Broadway
Dear Diary:
My friend was acting in an Off Broadway play. My wife, two boys and I went to see it.
Unfortunately, we got lost on the way and were 45 minutes late in arriving.
As we approached the box office to get our tickets, the clerk asked if we were the Spanos.
Yes, we said.
Thank God, he replied. We were waiting for you to start.

Once installed, you can load into the game and begin the Horizon Badlands Expedition by accessing the Rally Adventure icon on the northwest coast of the game map in Dunas Blancas.
Players who are brand-new to Forza Horizon 5 will need to complete the initial experience of the base game before travelling to Sierra Nueva. This includes the first drive to the Horizon Festival, the creation of your character and selecting a starter car, the first Showcase Event featuring the Cargo Plane, and completing either of the first two available Horizon Story chapters.
Once the Horizon Badlands Expedition is completed, you can access the Sierra Nueva map through the Pause Menu at any time. Fast Travel is free and immediately available to those who own the Buenas Vistas Player House in Mexico. Players have access to their full garage in Sierra Nueva and can begin exploring the new map and career in their favorite cars without any class restrictions.
Build Your Rally Career
Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure introduces players to an all-new rally career. In the first hour of gameplay, familiarize yourself with all three rally teams as you get a flavor of asphalt, dirt and night racing in Sierra Nueva. Each team has a dedicated captain who will be your co-driver in events.
Captained by Alejandra, the Apex Predators are all about the asphalt in Road Rally. Alex leads the Horizon Raptors ready to kick up the dust in Dirt Rally. Finally, as the Grit Reapers ambassador, Ramiro will put that dramatic helicopter spotlight to use in Night Rally.
Once you’ve experienced the first rally of all three teams, you’ll choose your starter team. Each unlocks new events and challenges, featuring a dedicated progression tree with nine Reputation Ranks and unique rewards. Completion of Reputation Challenges will contribute to unlocking new events, rewards and the invites to join the other rally teams.
Once Reputation Rank 8 and eight race victories have been achieved in each team’s career, the associated head-to-head Ambassador Race is unlocked. Beating the team captain rewards the player with their car, while winning all three unlocks the Horizon Badlands Goliath, where you can race to become the Horizon Rally Champion and drive home in the all-electric 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum.
Leave Your Mark
Sierra Nueva introduces several new biomes to explore including the town of Pueblo Artza, a huge Abandoned Quarry perfect for some Gymkhana action, epic deformable Sand Dunes, the tight and twisting Desert Gorge, rolling Green Hills, and an entirely smashable Palm Forest. You’ll even find the remote village of Cráteres Secos nestled into a breathtaking crater! These biomes will change every week as seasonal rotations occur and bring new weather changes, just like on Mexico.
With a great mix of asphalt and off-road tracks, Sierra Nueva features a drivable area of 6.25 miles squared – that's 16.2km squared – with 38 miles (61km) of roads full of unpredictable adverse-camber turns, blind crests and thrilling asphalt jumps. For a closer look at the environments of Sierra Nueva, check out our deep dive here of each biome . Now let’s explore the improved deformation technology in Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure.
Over the years rally drivers have put Sierra Nueva through its pace and this is nowhere better reflected than in the rugged deformable sand roads interwoven with pre-deformed tire tracks. As deformable surfaces are driven over repeatedly, they accrue multiple tire tracks and trails. Tire tread is visible in these deformed tracks while the deformation-width is adjusted based on the car’s speed, tire size and steering angle.
Meanwhile, sand trails kicked up by vehicles can be seen in the far distance, so you can spot the work of other drivers that are miles away! It also persists for longer with shadows and camera-lens accumulation as you drive through it. These dust plumes are physics-driven and result in the most complex weather effect in a Forza Horizon game.
Horizon Rally Modes
All events in Sierra Nueva feature two distinct flavors of off-road racing: Horizon Rally and Horizon Race. Both modes do not enforce car restrictions.
Horizon Rally is a race against the clock. Follow your co-driver's pace notes and drive as fast as possible through the four split gates that are placed at around each 20% interval of the track. The co-driver is on standby from the Horizon Rally Helicopter, which dynamically follows the car and provides audio-visual callouts like upcoming turn and obstacle alerts. Hold up, did they say Chicken?
Each split-gate crossed is accompanied by a notification to highlight where you’re currently positioned on the leaderboard stage. Here's how to interpret these colors:
- Red : You have lost a position relative to other competitors.
- Orange : You have maintained your position.
- Green : You have improved your position.
- Light Green : You are in first place.
Horizon Rally events can be played in co-op with collisions disabled. For a more immersive rally experience, disable the Rally Driving Line option in the driving assists menu. This separate toggle only applies to Horizon Rally events. You can also further spruce up the challenge by increasing the AI difficulty or the PI class of your car.
Secondly, there’s Horizon Race – the racing action you already know and love from the Horizon Festival. Only this time, you’re taking on a pack of rally drivers on the thrilling roads of Sierra Nueva. Race against Drivatars or other players with collisions enabled. This mode does not feature the co-driver.
Race Events and PR Stunts
Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure features the largest number of racing events of any Horizon expansion, and in Sierra Nueva, this means the most thrilling routes in Horizon history, so buckle up.
Here’s a look at the new Horizon Rally and Horizon Race events with all routes also supported in Rivals:
- Road Racing : 8 Apex Predators tracks.
- Dirt Racing : 8 Horizon Raptors tracks.
- Mixed Surface (Night only) : 8 Grit Reapers tracks.
- Head-to-Head : 3 Ambassador Races with mixed surface cross-country events.
- Goliath Race featuring a mix of asphalt and dirt surfaces.
Here’s the breakdown of the 20 new PR Stunts:
- 5 Speed Traps : Unlocked through Apex Predators.
- 5 Speed Zones : Unlocked through Apex Predators.
- 5 Danger Signs : Unlocked through Horizon Raptors.
- 5 Drift Zones : Unlocked through Grit Reapers.
With the Midnights at Horizon series, new Rally Adventure events will be added to the Festival Playlist. These will include a Seasonal Championship and PR Stunt every week and are unlocked upon completion of the Horizon Badlands Goliath.
Look out for new smashable objects in Sierra Nueva including the Horizon Raptors Pinata Trucks at day and the Grit Reapers Crates at night, both of which respawn, as well as the Apex Predators Promotion Boards. There are 30 of these scattered around the map and they do not respawn once smashed!
Multiplayer
Horizon Open, Horizon Tour and Rivals are all available to enjoy in Sierra Nueva. Join a Horizon Open or Rivals event through the Rally Adventure tab in the Pause Menu. Go to the Horizon Tour icon located in the center-right area of the map to team-up with fellow players and race a team of Drivatars.
Horizon Open features available in Sierra Nueva include Badges, Open Racing, Custom Racing and Leaderboards. The custom filters include Road and Dirt with class options for Any, S2, S1, A, and B. All the Rally Adventure routes mentioned above are present in Horizon Open.

New York on two wheels: What to know about the Five Boro Bike Tour
May 5 marks the 46th Five Boro Bike Tour in the city. Less than a year after the New York City Marathon became a five-borough course, the city’s cyclists decided to do their own version of the idea.
The first Five Boro Bike Tour took place in 1977, with only around 200-250 participants . Now, over 32,000 riders take part in what organizers say is more of a community than a competition.
What is the Five Boro Bike Tour?
The Five Boro Bike Tour is the cyclist’s annual opportunity to enjoy 40 miles of car-free roads in the city, including the chance to ride on city highways.
Bike New York, the nonprofit that manages the tour, says it’s the largest charitable bike ride in the world, with the proceeds funding free bike education programs.
When is the bike tour?
The tour starts on the morning of Sunday, May 5. The first waves start as early as 7:30 a.m. All cyclists will set off by 10:30 a.m.
The time it takes to complete the tour depends on your bicycle and experience level. Most cyclists report anywhere between three to five hours.
Where does the tour take riders?
Cyclists start the 40-mile, traffic-free route by gathering in Lower Manhattan and making their way up Sixth Avenue. The tour stretches through Central Park and Harlem before briefly crossing into the Bronx. It then makes its way along FDR Drive before going across the Queensboro Bridge into Long Island City. Next is a trip across the Pulaski Bridge into Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Then, the tour travels onto the BQE and the Gowanus Parkway, and then heads onto the lower level of the Verrazzano Bridge and into Staten Island.
At the end of the line is the Finish Festival at Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island. Participants are treated to live music, food trucks and photo opportunities.
Are there any major street closures to be aware of?
Yes, there are a number of closures in each of the five boroughs. A full list can be found here .
Can I still sign up?
Unfortunately, registration closed on April 12, but there are spots in each borough for spectators to cheer on and support cyclists along the route.
Cheer zones include Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard in Harlem, 138th Street and Third Ave in Mott Haven, off the exit of the Queensboro Bridge in Long Island City, near Seventh Street in Williamsburg and at the finish line at Fort Wadsworth.
I’m already signed up, but I don’t know where my start point is. What do I need to do?
Those registered should have received their wave assignment, including their start time and point of entry to the route, via email. They were emailed out between April 26 and April 29.
Also included in the email are the times and location riders can pick up their participation packet. It includes the racer ID plate and helmet cover required to take part in the tour.
For all other questions on the tour, head here .

Haley won 1 in 5 indiana republican voters in the presidential primary. she left the race in march.
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The ghost of Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign is ringing up significant support in state primaries despite her withdrawal from the race in March shortly before Donald Trump had clinched the Republican nomination .
The backing for Haley — most recently in Indiana, where she grabbed more than 21% of the votes on Tuesday — signals persistent discontent among party voters with the former president. He is racking up primary victories even as he has been spending much of his time recently in a New York courtroom facing state criminal charges involving hush money payments to a porn actor.
Haley, the former South Carolina governor and U.N. ambassador who qualified for the Indiana ballot before she ended her campaign two months ago, has not endorsed Trump.
A Haley campaign adviser did not immediately return a message seeking comment on the results.
Indiana Democrats did not have the option to vote “ uncommitted ” in their party primary. Unease about President Joe Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war has sparked a protest vote movement in some states, raising similar questions about the strength of his support in November.
Haley’s support was largest in Indiana’s urban and suburban counties. She won 35% of the vote in Indianapolis’s Marion County and more than one-third of the vote in suburban Hamilton County. As in other states, she did best in the most Democratic areas of the state.
The exception was Lake County, home to Gary, just south of Chicago. Haley won only 14% of the vote in Lake County.
Biden’s campaign attributed Haley’s Indiana showing to Trump’s trouble in suburbs and cited similar primary numbers in swing states such as Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania. The president has made an open appeal to Haley supporters to back him in November.
The Trump campaign claimed without evidence that Haley’s support came from Democrats, adding that he would carry Indiana in November, as in 2016 and 2020.
Two weeks ago in Pennsylvania, Haley received nearly 17% of the primary vote. She earned similar support in Arizona just weeks after her exit.
Trump, who won every Indiana county, brushed off Haley’s support in an interview Tuesday with WGAL-TV of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
“All of those people are going to come to me,” he said.
In late January, Trump said prematurely that Haley did not have enough signatures to make Indiana’s primary ballot. While Haley did get the minimum 500 signatures needed in each congressional district to make the ballot, the margin was razor thin in the 7th District, which includes Indianapolis.
Haley’s campaign was largely absent from the state even while she was in the race.
Indiana, with its 11 electoral votes, is far from the swing state that Pennsylvania is. Trump won Indiana by 16 percentage points in 2020.
Nonetheless, Haley’s support from 1 in 5 Republican voters raises questions about how they will vote in the fall. Before she dropped out, she took nearly 27% of votes in Michigan . She received 13% of the Georgia GOP vote shortly after her exit.
Haley, who ended her campaign after losses to Trump across almost all Super Tuesday states in early March, recently announced she was joining the Hudson Institute, a conservative Washington think tank. In her farewell speech a day after Trump’s big night, Haley declined to directly endorse him. She put the onus on Trump to win the support of the moderate Republicans and independent voters who had supported her.
“It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the votes of those in our party and beyond it who did not support him. And I hope he does that,” she said. “At its best, politics is about bringing people into your cause, not turning them away. And our conservative cause badly needs more people.”
Trump had been withering in his criticism of Haley, calling her “Birdbrain” in speeches to his supporters and questioning her decision to stay in the race.
Just before Super Tuesday, Haley said she no longer felt bound by a pledge that required all GOP contenders to support the party’s eventual nominee in order to participate in the primary debates.
She has said little publicly but has continued to utilize her email outreach, via her Stand for America PAC, sending out updates on her Hudson appointment, as well as the return of her husband, Michael, from a South Carolina Army National Guard deployment that saw him stationed in African during a large portion of her primary campaign.
Associated Press writer Meg Kinnard in Columbia, South Carolina, contributed to this report.
