The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 2022 Tour Openers Are Wildly Stacked

The Red Hot Chili Peppers ’ 2022 tour was already set to be an event , with longtime on-again, off-again guitarist John Frusciante touring alongside the band for the first time in 15 years. Now it’s looking to be even more of one, thanks to a wildly stacked list of openers. The list of ( very ) special guests: the Strokes, Haim, St. Vincent, A$AP Rocky, Thundercat, Beck, Anderson .Paak & the Free Nationals, and King Princess. Although they’re not appearing all together, sadly — many of the artists are joining for only a few dates, though Thundercat is in for nearly the whole ride. Red Hot Chili Peppers likely went big because this marks their first stadium tour after years as an arena act. The 32-date world tour is the Chili Peppers’ first run since their 2016–17 tour behind their last album, The Getaway . And they could even have new music to debut, with drummer Chad Smith teasing a new Chili Peppers album with Frusciante. Find the dates and lineups below.

Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce 2022 Summer Tour with The Strokes, Beck, HAIM and More

The Red hot Chili Peppers have announced the dates, opening acts and stadiums for their upcoming 32 date Summer tour that will span across the U.S., U.K. and Europe. They’ll have a rolling lineup of superstar opening acts including The Strokes, Beck, HAIM, St. Vincent, Anderson .Pakk, Thundercat, A$AP Rocky and King Princess.

Despite all this news, for many fans, the biggest draw to the tour is the return of RHCP’s iconic guitarist John Frusciante. After over 10 years apart from the band, Frusciante rejoined the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2019, though the pandemic brought their reunion tour plans in 2020 to a complete halt. Now with their classic and most successful lineup of Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and Frusciante, they’re truly back.

Earlier this month the band announced the tour with a bizarre new cast featuring all four members .

Red Hot Chili Peppers Reveal Dates, Openers For 2022 Global Stadium Tour

The Red Hot Chili Peppers finally revealed the dates for their 2022 global stadium tour on Thursday (Oct. 7), which will include openers the Strokes, A$AP Rocky, Beck, Haim and more.

Todd the Squirrel (Flea) and Johnson Hammerswaddle (Anthony Kiedis) were back at it on Thursday morning (Oct. 7) with the latest fake news report about the Red Hot Chili Peppers ‘ 2022 global stadium tour. Only this time the funk-loving pranksters in phony mustaches and bad wigs actually had dates to share for the massive outing that is slated to kick off on June 4 in Seville, Spain at the Estadio La Cartuja De Sevilla.

The 32-city outing marks the second return of beloved guitarist John Frusciante and the Chili Peppers’ first U.S. stadium tour, on which they’ll play a selection of their most beloved hits as well as songs from their as-yet-untitled new album, according to a release announcing the dates.

The road trip will feature support from a wide range of special guests, including The Strokes, A$AP Rocky, Beck, Haim, St. Vincent, Anderson .Paak & the Free Nationals, Thundercat and King Princess, with U.S. dates kicking off on July 23 with a gig at Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High.

Red Hot Chili Peppers have unveiled the dates for their upcoming stadium tour set to kick off in 2022 with stops spanning 32 cities across the globe.

The tour will feature support from a number of acts including The Strokes, A$AP Rocky, Beck, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, HAIM, St. Vincent, Thundercat, and King Princess.

Tickets for the tour will be available to the general public beginning Friday, October 15 at 10 a.m. local time via the official Red Hot Chili Peppers website . A fan presale, set to begin on Saturday, October 9 for North America and on Wednesday, October 13 for Europe at 10 a.m. local time, will be available through Thursday, October 14 at 10 p.m. local time through the same website.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers global stadium tour marks the band’s first time back on the road since the return of their guitarist John Frusciante, who rejoined the group in 2019 after they parted ways nearly a decade earlier.

“The Red Hot Chili Peppers announced that we are parting ways with our guitarist of the past ten years, Josh Klinghoffer. Josh is a beautiful musician who we respect and love,” the rock band shared in an announcement. “We are deeply grateful for our time with him, and the countless gifts he shared with us. We also announce, with great excitement and full hearts, that John Frusciante is rejoining our group. Thank you.”

The tour will begin in Seville, Spain on June 4, 2022 and will conclude on September 18, 2022.

Red Hot Chili Peppers to perform at Levi’s® Stadium on July 29!

The 32-city global stadium tour kicks off on Saturday, June 4th at Estadio La Cartuja in Seville, Spain with stops in London, Paris, Dublin, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and many more before wrapping up in Arlington at Globe Life Field on September 18th. The tour is produced by Live Nation. Full tour dates and details are below. 

The 2022 tour will mark the return of guitarist and all round cosmic musician John Frusciante to the group, as well as the band’s first ever stadium tour in the U.S. Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing their career-spanning hits as well as new music from their forthcoming album.

Tickets are now available on Ticketmaster . All seat levels and price tiers will still be available to purchase at this time.  

All guests must be in possession of a valid event ticket, pass or credential to park in a designated parking lot. Please download prepaid parking passes ahead of time and add them to your mobile wallet for an expedited parking process. Day of parking will be available on a limited basis. Credit card payment only.

Valley Transportation Authority (VTA)

VTA will operate increased train service from Mountain View station (Caltrain transfer) and Milpitas station (BART transfer) two hours prior to event start. Post-event service will run for approximately 60 minutes post-event. For more information, please visit www.vta.org .

Guests heading to the concert can get off at the Mountain View station and transfer to VTA light rail service to Levi’s Stadium. Post-event, Caltrain will operate regular weekday schedule – the last northbound trains will depart Mountain View at 11:33pm and the last southbound train departs 1:18am. Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)

BART will operate regular weekday schedule and offer one special event train post-concert. The last train northbound will depart at 11:52pm to Pleasant Hill station via Oakland; and the last train southbound will depart at 1:50am. For more information, please visit www.bart.gov .

Capitol Corridor

Capitol Corridor will operate regular weekend schedule southbound to Santa Clara. For more information, please visit www.capitolcorridor.org .

The rideshare drop-off location at Levi’s® Stadium for this event will be on Great America Parkway, between Tasman Drive and Old Glory Lane. The pick-up zone is located in Red Lot 7. Follow signage and staff instructions for additional direction.

All accessible parking will be directed to Red Lot 1. Guests who possess a valid placard will be directed to park in this lot and must display their placard at the entrance to be admitted.

Levi’s® Stadium takes pride in providing elite service to all guests including those requiring mobility assistance. We provide a variety of services for our guests with special needs. The SoCal rockers’ Global Stadium Tour announcement comes with a double whammy surprise: The group is also set to release an album in the spring coinciding with the tour.

The foursome’s international 32-city tour has late summer dates lined up in New Jersey on Aug. 17 and in Philadelphia on Sept. 3.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. EST for all shows.

Red Hot Chili Peppers have detailed their upcoming 2022 summer tour, revealing dates for 32 stadium shows across the US, UK, and Europe. Even more exciting, they’ll be joined on the road by a rotating cast of all-star opening acts, including The Strokes, Beck, St. Vincent, HAIM, A$AP Rocky, Anderson .Paak, Thundercat, and King Princess.

Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, October 15th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster . A fan pre-sale for the US dates is set for October 9th.

Of course, for RHCP fans, the tour’s biggest highlight will be the return of guitarist John Frusciante. After more than a decade away, Frusicante rejoined Chili Peppers in late 2019. Though the pandemic derailed their plans to tour in 2020, the band’s classic lineup of Frusicante, singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, and drummer Chad Smith did use their time in quarantine to work on their first record together since 2010’s Stadium Arcadium . Details on the release of the album are still forthcoming.

Last month, RHCP hyped the impending tour announcement by releasing a faux news report featuring all four members.

Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced the dates for their promised 2022 world tour , their first with guitarist John Frusciante back in the band. They’d teased the news with a goofy video in September. The 32-city trek kicks off June 4 in Seville, Spain, and will include special guests such as the Strokes, Beck, Haim, St. Vincent, Anderson .Paak, and more. Thundercat and King Princess will open on select dates, too. See the full string of dates, which includes a summer leg in the United States, below.

In December 2019, the band announced that guitarist John Frusciante was re-joining the group after a decade away, replacing Josh Klinghoffer . The newly reunited lineup performed together once last February , at a memorial concert assembled by the Tony Hawk Foundation.

Red Hot Chili Peppers announce dates for 2022 world stadium tour

They'll be supported by The Strokes, HAIM, St. Vincent and many more across the tour, which includes three huge UK dates

Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced the dates for their upcoming world stadium tour in 2022, with support from The Strokes , HAIM , A$AP Rocky , St. Vincent and more.

Last month, the band revealed that they would be heading out on the road next year for their first shows since  guitarist John Frusciante rejoined the band  in 2019 after a 10-year absence.

The news of the band’s live return was shared during a spoof news segment from the fictional KHOT  station. In the video, the station’s presenters (aka RHCP singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea and drummer Chad Smith) interviewed Frusciante about the prospect of the tour.

The full list of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 2022 world tour dates have now been revealed via another tongue-in-cheek news conference. The tour starts in Europe in June next year, with UK dates set in Manchester, London and Glasgow as well as an Irish date in Dublin.

Additional support on the tour will come from Beck , Anderson .Paak , King Princess and more.

Tickets go on general sale from 10am next Friday (October 15) here , while fans can access a pre-sale from 10am tomorrow (October 8) by pre-ordering the band’s new album, set for release in 2022, here .

Earlier this year, Red Hot Chili Peppers revealed that they are currently at work on a new album with John Frusciante and that they’re “psyched” to have their old guitarist back in the fold.

Earlier this year the band sold their songwriting catalogue to Hipgnosis , joining an extensive list of artists who have recently signed over their intellectual property in multi-million dollar deals.

The deal, which  Billboard  reports may not have closed yet, is worth at least £100million ($140million) and is likely to include their hit tracks ‘Snow (Hey Oh)’, ‘Californication’, ‘Otherside’, ‘Can’t Stop’ and ‘Give It Away’, among others.

Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce 2022 Tour With Stop At SoFi Staidum

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — The Red Hot Chili Peppers will take the stage at SoFi Stadium in 2022.

The band announced their 2022 tour dates for Europe and North America in a video dressed as newscasters.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have revealed their 2022 tour plans - and they're pretty epic.  Not only will the shows feature reinstated guitarist John Frusciante - they will also have some pretty amazing opening acts - the Strokes, Beck, Haim, St. Vincent, Anderson .Paak, and more. Thundercat and King Princess will be at select dates (see the full schedule below) 

The tour comes to Nationals Park on September 8, 2022 where RHCP will appear with the Strokes and Thundercat.

The 2022 tour marks the return of guitarist and all-around cosmic musician John Frusciante to the group, and the band's first-ever stadium tour in the U.S. Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform their career-spanning hits as well as new music from their forthcoming 12th studio album and their first with Frusciante since 2006's " Stadium Arcadium . "

Red Hot Chili Peppers have been around for nearly four decades and they have never been more thrilled, bursting with commitment and purpose, as they are regarding this upcoming tour. They have no interest in resting on past accolades, awards, or commercial success; this is a mission. They intend to channel the most-mighty spirits and give everything they have on this tour.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers embark on a global stadium tour with at stop at Soldier Field on August 19th, 2022. They are joined by very special guests The Strokes, and Thundercat. Tickets On Sale Now on  RedHotChiliPeppers.com

The 2022 tour will mark the return of guitarist and all round cosmic musician John Frusciante to the group, as well as the band’s first ever stadium tour in the U.S. Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing their career-spanning hits as well as new music from their forthcoming album.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been around, and have not just fallen off the turnip truck, but to a man, they have never been more thrilled, bursting with commitment and purpose, as they are regarding this upcoming tour. They have no interest in resting on past accolades, awards or commercial success, this is a mission, they intend to channel the most mighty spirits, and give everything they’ve got.

For all events at Soldier Field, the NFL All-Clear Bag Policy is in place. Approved bags are limited to:

• Bags that are clear plastic and do not exceed 12"x6"x12"
• One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar)
• Small clutch bags, which cannot exceed 4.5" x 6.5" in size, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, diaper bags, cinch bags, non-approved seat cushions*, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size. Medical Bags or kits are acceptable and will be searched at the gate.

• Any bag larger than 12” x 6” x 12” (bags must be clear plastic)

• Alcoholic beverages and “Palcohol” (Powdered Alcohol)
• Any bag, case or purse other than the NFL approved bags; see  “Bag Policy”  page
• Seat cushions with zippered covers, pockets or flaps
• Balloons and beach balls
• Cameras with lenses that exceed 6” when fully extended
• Cans, bottles or other beverage containers
• Clothing or signage with offensive or vulgar language or that blocks fans’ view
• Fireworks or smoke bombs
• Illegal drugs
• Animals (except service animals to aid persons with disabilities)
• Laser pens and pointers
• Noise-making devices (i.e. horns, whistles, etc.)
• Poles of any kind, including selfie-sticks
• Strollers (Bears provide a stroller check at Gate 10)
• Signs, banners or flags
• Video or movie cameras
• Use of wheeled footwear, skateboards, hover boards and Segway’s 
• Aerosol cans (i.e. mace, pepper spray, hairspray, etc.)
• Smoking cigarettes, using smokeless cigarettes, e-cigarettes or chewing smokeless tobacco
• Any other items deemed to be dangerous or inappropriate
• Unmanned Aircraft Systems (“Drones”)
• Any coolers and ice chests (includes soft sided)

The Miller Lite Beer Garden, located between Gates 3 & 5, will be open from 5pm - 8:30pm. Food and beverage options will be available for fans to enjoy before the show.

Red Hot Chili Peppers have enlisted a heavy-hitting lineup of support acts for a 2023 tour of North America and Europe. The Strokes , St. Vincent, the Mars Volta, Thundercat, and City and Colour will open for the North American shows, which kick off next March in Vancouver at BC Place. Iggy Pop and the Roots will join the band on select European dates, and King Princess will play a string of shows on both legs of the 23-date tour.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Traffic volumes are expected to be heavy and guests attending Red Hot Chili Peppers at Comerica Park are advised to arrive early due to construction and multiple events happening in The District Detroit. Due to repair work on the John R Street bridge, southbound I-75 from I-375 to M-10 (Lodge Freeway) will be closed. There will be no southbound I-75 access to Grand River Avenue (Exit 50) during this time. Please plan your travel accordingly to allow yourself enough time to arrive at the venue and not miss any of the show.

Red Hot Chili Peppers have revealed today their 2022 global stadium tour will perform at Comerica Park on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Very special guests The Strokes and Thundercat to provide support for the local date. 

The 32-city global stadium tour kicks off on Saturday, June 4 at Estadio La Cartuja in Seville, Spain with stops in London, Paris, Dublin, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and many more before wrapping up in Arlington at Globe Life Field on September 18. The tour is produced by Live Nation.

Who Are The Openers For Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘The Global Stadium Tour?’

Red Hot Chili Peppers have been incredibly active this year and show no signs of slowing down. Following the release of not one, but two full length albums, RHCP have announced a slew of 2023 tour dates in both North America and Europe. Dubbed The Global Stadium Tour , it begins on March 29th, 2023 in Vancouver and the Chili Peppers have corralled a slew of very high profile support acts.

This is a fairly decorated list of opening acts that will join Red Hot Chili Peppers on The Global Stadium Tour in 2023. For starters, The Tonight Show house band and live hip-hop pioneers The Roots are one of them. As are NYC rock legends The Strokes, the Annie Clark-led St. Vincent, future funk bassist Thundercat, proto-punk luminary Iggy Pop, the recently reunited The Mars Volta, indie pop shredder King Princess, and Canadian folkie City and Colour.

Setlist + Video: Red Hot Chili Peppers Launch North American Tour

Red Hot Chili Peppers launched their 2024 Unlimited Love North American tour on Tuesday night in Ridgefield, Washington.

The band played several of their best-known hits — “Scar Tissue,” “Californication,” “By the Way” and others — as well as song selections from more recent albums, like “Whatchu Thinkin,'” “Black Summer” and “Eddie.” A cover of Funkadelic ‘s “What Is Soul?” was also included.

Where Are Red Hot Chili Peppers Heading Next?

Tuesday night’s concert marked RHCP’s seventh show of 2024, but they have a busy couple months ahead. Their next performance is scheduled for May 31 at the Gorge Ampitheatre, also located in Washington state.

From there, they’ll travel down to their home state of California and then head westward for shows in Florida, Ohio, Ontario and more, concluding the tour on July 30 in St. Louis, Missouri.

The title of this year’s tour comes from the first of RHCP’s two 2022 albums, Unlimited Love , which was followed by Return of the Dream Canteen . Both were produced by Rick Rubin .

“When all was said and done, our moody love for each other and the magic of music had gifted us with more songs than we knew what to do with,” the band said in a statement at the time. “Well we figured it out. Two double albums released back to back. The second of which is easily as meaningful as the first or should that be reversed.”
