Sandals Dunn’s River Review

Sandals Dunns River is getting ready to have guests. Sandals Resorts International said that people can now make reservations for stays starting May 24, 2023, which is when the property has been completely redesigned and renovated.

The property is going back into the Sandals Resorts family after a complete renovation that added first-of-its-kind suite designs, unique restaurant and bar concepts, and new ways to enjoy Jamaica’s natural beauty.

Executive Chairman of SRI Adam Stewart stated that “Today has a very significant meaning. In memory of our company’s founder and my late father, Gordon “Butch” Stewart’s birthday is approaching, and in order to celebrate, Sandals Dunn’s River is now accepting reservation requests. It’s just a little something we can do to commemorate him, but we know it will put a smile on his face. This was the last project I worked on with him, and it turned out to be an incredible success.

It was the final masterpiece he ever created.” He made his own personal selection of this location more than three decades ago due to the fact that it possesses a beach with white sand, a gentle wind, blue water, and is located in close proximity to the area’s most well-known waterfalls. It will not only bring new excitement to a part of Jamaica that many people love and cherish, but it will also set a new standard for luxury tourism right here in our own backyard with a resort that lives up to its nostalgic past. “It will not only bring new excitement to a part of Jamaica that many people love and cherish, but it will also set a new standard for luxury tourism right here in our own.”

When guests arrive, they will be greeted by cascading water that comes from the depths of the Dunn’s River Falls.

With the new, bigger suite concept, there will be brand-new Tufa SkyPool Butler Suites added. These will have glass panels that go all the way across the length of the oceanfront balconies, making it look like the Caribbean Sea goes on forever.

The Coyaba Swim-Up Rondoval Butler Suites with Private Pools are redesigned villas with open-air rooftops, private soaking tubs, and views of the local plants and animals.

The Mammee Bay Beachfront Butler Suites will have big balconies, fixtures made of gold, touches of green, and views of the ocean.

There will be 12 Global Gourmet restaurants with 10 new ideas at the resort. At the international fair, there will be a fusion restaurant with French and Jamaican food , as well as a new Greek concept and an Asian fusion restaurant. Read here more about food in Sandals Resorts .

There will also be well-known staples like Zuka and the Jerk Shack.

Jamaica is quickly becoming one of the most popular holiday and honeymoon locations in the Caribbean, and the newest Sandals resort that is scheduled to open there is almost ready to welcome guests. Sandal’s Dunn’s River has had a comprehensive makeover to “embrace the essence of Jamaica’s natural treasures.” As a result of these renovations, the resort is now able to make the most of its breathtaking setting on the northern coast of the island.

Dunn’s River Falls Excursion is the most popular tourist attraction in Jamaica. Seeing or climbing the waterfalls at Dunn’s River is truly a unique and fantastic adventure that everyone should experience at least once.

The Dunn’s River Falls Park and the setting are genuinely breathtaking, and the incredible cascading falls challenge, refresh and delight visitors of all ages.

Your Dunn’s River Falls excursion from Falmouth begins with a 1.5 hr journey along Jamaica’s Golden Coast to Ocho Rios. Along the way, you can take in the beautiful scenery and get a chance to pass through many towns and villages, and experience Jamaica first-hand. With the new Highway from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios complete, this is a much safer, quicker, and enjoyable drive.

Upon arrival at Dunn’s River Falls, you will follow a path and stairway that leads down to the base of the falls. For those who wish to climb the beautiful falls, this is where your adventure begins. However, the views and spectacular sights are worth the trip alone for those not up to climbing the falls.

Water shoes/sandals are required and are available for rent if you do not bring your own. Depending on your ability and comfort level, you may climb the falls with or without a guide. This is a challenging climb, but your Dunn’s River Guides are excellent and will give you all the support and confidence you will need to accomplish this journey.

There are also several points along the adjoining path where you can easily access the river and enjoy the cool water and pulsating flow of cascading water over your body without climbing.

Enjoy an exhilarating massage from Mother Nature. The climb to the top can take up to 1 hour. Along the way, there are several photographers available to capture this special moment for you.

From Dunn’s River Falls, your guide will take you on a brief tour of Ocho Rio’s spectacular countryside, where you can take in the sights as you drive through Fern Gully, a beautiful rainforest abundant in plant life. Enjoy panoramic views of the town and your cruise ship port before returning to the city for a shopping tour.

Your Falmouth Dunn’s River Falls excursion culminates with shopping in the heart of Ocho Rios, where you will have the opportunity to explore the local craft markets or indulge in the shopping centers and their duty-free offerings.

If time allows, you may even wish to visit Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Bar and Restaurant, an Ocho Rios favorite.

All of our tours are designed to be flexible and will cater to your group’s wishes. Our guides will allow for many photo opportunities during your tour and are open to any requests or suggestions you may have.

You may wish to try some local Jerk Chicken or Jamaican specialties along your way. If you would like some beach time, it can be arranged. We can easily accommodate almost any request.
