‘Stars on Ice’ Returning With Nathan Chen, Mirai Nagasu and More Skating Icons

Time to lace up your skates! Stars on Ice is finally hitting the road again after a two-year break.

Following the 2022 Winter Olympics , some of figure skating’s biggest stars will take part in the 24-city tour that begins in Fort Myers, Florida, on Thursday, April 14.

“I am really excited about the opportunity to perform in front of our fans during the Stars on Ice Tour after a busy season of competitions,” Nathan Chen , who won a gold medal at the 2022 Games, said in a statement. “I miss performing for an audience, and it will be so much fun to skate for them.”

The Utah native, 22, is currently the top-ranked male figure skater in the world and is widely considered by many experts to be among the greatest of all time. In addition to winning his first Olympic gold, Nathan also earned a silver medal during the team event alongside Karen Chen, Madison Hubbell, Zachary Donohue, Madison Chock, Evan Bates, Vincent Zhou, Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier. 

Knierim, 30, just won gold at the World Figure Skating Championships with partner Frazier, 29, to become the first American Pair team to be World Champions since 1979 and she couldn’t be happier to join the tour.

“I especially love performing in the group numbers, which are brand new every year,” she explained in a statement. “The entire cast skates together which is really fun for us. Hopefully, the audience will enjoy them as much as we do!”

The 2022 silver medalists are all set to join Stars on Ice alongside a slew of other talented Team USA athletes, including  Mirai Nagasu ,  Mariah   Bell, Alysa Liu  and  Jason Brown.

Nagasu, 28, meanwhile, no longer participates in competitive figure skating, but she remains an icon of the sport. In February 2018, she became the first American woman to land a triple axel in the singles competition at the Olympics — and only the third woman to do so from any country.

“It was my dream moment,” the California native said at the time of landing the difficult jump. “It felt like the stars aligned.”

Cofounded by Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton , Stars on Ice offers figure skating fans the rare chance to see their heroes up close in both individual and ensemble performances. Hamilton, 63, often provides commentary during figure skating competitions, including the Olympics.

“Everyone gets hooked on the drama because this only happens every four years,” the athlete told Parade of the Games in February 2018. “It’s also the one time we set aside our differences, come together and celebrate the human spirit. I still can’t believe I got to be a part of it.”

The 2024 Stars on Ice tour promises to be the best place to experience live performances by the world’s top skaters fresh from their triumphs at the 2024 World Figure Skating Championships in Montreal. Leading the ensemble of skating superstars are the newly-crowned World Pair Champions Deanna Stellato-Dudek & Maxime Deschamps and World Men’s Champion Ilia Malinin . Canada’s premier figure skating show, known for delivering the best in current, future and past figure skating champions, is scheduled to visit London on Sunday, May 5 for a 4:00pm performance at Budweiser Gardens.

The remarkable victory by 2024 World Champions and reigning two-time Canadian Pair Deanna Stellato-Dudek & Maxime Deschamps marks a historic moment in figure skating. At 40 years old, Stellato-Dudek became the oldest female figure skater to claim a world title, following an incredible comeback to the sport after a 16-year hiatus.  Joining them direct from the World Championships will be the incomparable 2024 World Champion and reigning two-time U.S. Champion Ilia Malinin,  whose astounding performances have earned him acclaim and admiration worldwide; three-time World medalists and reigning three-time Canadian Dance Champions Piper Gilles & Paul Poirier ; two-time World Medalist and five-time Belgian Champion Loena Hendrickx ; and two-time Canadian Champion and Olympian Madeline Schizas .

Upon arrival please wait to receive a numbered ticket. Tickets will be handed out starting 90 minutes prior to the on-sale time until 35 minutes prior to the on-sale time. Once you’ve received a numbered ticket, you are not required to remain on the premises; however you must be present 30 minutes prior to the on sale time for the random ticket draw. 30 minutes prior to the on-sale a number will be drawn and that person will become first in line with all those numbers after that lining up sequentially behind. Fandango released a new teaser featuring stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence to announce that Bad Boys: Ride or Die tickets are officially on sale now. The film arrives in theaters on June 7, and will be playing in special formats such as IMAX, Dolby, and 4DX. The newly released promo shows Smith and Lawrence standing behind a nice pool (possibly in the Bad Boys' home of Miami ) holding ticket guns and blasting ticket slips into the air.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die is the fourth film in the buddy-cop franchise starring Smith and Lawrence, and will be their return to the big screen for the first time since 2020. The pair teamed up for their first two films in 1995 and 2003, then went on a 17-year hiatus until debuting the legacy sequel, Bad Boys for Life , in 2020. Unlike many legacy sequels, Bad Boys for Life was appreciated by critics and beloved by audiences upon its release, landing a "certified fresh" score of 76% from reviewers and a nearly flawless rating of 96% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes . The film grossed more than $200 million both overseas and domestically for a total of $426 million at the worldwide box office.

Who Stars in ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’?

Other than the returning titular stars, Bad Boys: Ride or Die has put together an impressive ensemble cast sure to help generate a draw at the box office this summer. Vanessa Hudgens and Alexander Ludwig , both of whom previously starred in Bad Boys for Life , are back reprising their roles as Kelly and Dorn, respectively. Ioan Gruffudd , best known for portraying Reed Richards in the 2005 and 2007 iterations of The Fantastic Four and the forensic pathologist Dr. Daniel Harrow, will also play a role in Bad Boys: Ride or Die . Joe Pantoliano , who has been a franchise staple appearing in all three Bad Boys films to date, will also reprise his role as Captain Conrad Howard, except now instead of being around to help the Bad Boys, recent trailers and teasers allude to him being the one who gets them in trouble.
