We did the Hana Ultimate with Surfer Sue, and boy are we glad we did! Driving that harrowing road ourselves would have been incredibly stressful, and Sue was so knowledgeable. We saw black sand beaches, green sand beaches, waterfalls, blowholes, streams, ponds, jungles, hidden caves, and mongooses. Also, I saw the vans that other tours used, and I was so happy to get into our much more luxurious, comfortable, and well-maintained van. I highly recommend Temptation Tours for your Road to Hana day-trip.

This trip is awesome and spectacular. Bring your camera and extra batteries, Curve after curve, rock bridges and waterfalls and waterfalls. Our driver, Skipper, knew lots about the historic road and the land, plants and waterfalls. lots of beautiful waterfalls. It's in a rainforest. The luxury van is actually cramped in the back, hard to climb in and out of, and the windows are smaller than the regular small bus excursion. Play your girl card early or you will be giving up your seat to the princesses who claim motion sickness. Skipper has ginger candy which helps or bring ginger snaps if you have motion problems. Wonderful stop at a black sand beach and picnic. Love the tablecloth and cloth napkins!

This was by far one of the best experiences of my life! My husband and I booked the intimate eight passenger tour van with Temptation Tours. We had the good fortune to get Scotty (at present I have misplaced his card and can't remember his last name) as our private tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and took us to a primo spot to see the gorgeous sunrise over the Haleakala Crater. He even provided additional sweatshirts to keep us warm and helped us adjust our camera setting to get the very best pictures! Although it is a bit pricey ($479 for 2 people), it was absolutely worth it! It even included a wonderful breakfast at a beautiful spot a little bit down the mountain on our return. A couple of tips: Pack a warm coat, socks, hat and gloves as you will definitely need them! With the winds, it can be quite frigid. Also, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring cash to tip your tour guide. Scotty went out of his way to make all of his us feel special and deserved a little extra for the service.

We had a fantastic sunrise tour of the Haleakala Crater. We saw a beautiful sunrise and had a super breakfast. Our guide, Al, personalized the tour by sharing his knowledge of Maui and Hawaii. Make sure you bring several layers, a hat and gloves for the cold.....and your camera to capture the view of a lifetime!

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon in Maui, we booked temptation tours for a drive up to hana and helicopter back...it was nothing short of amazing! The van was modern, clean, and comfortable. Our guide Gary was OUTSTANDING!!! You can tell he loved his job and was very knowledgeable. He stopped in all the right places along the road and was super great about helping with pictures. Lunch was a fresh made and delicious. The helicopter ride back was awesome, we got to see amazing sights, and who wants to drive back down after a 4 hour drive up! This tour was a recommendation from my parents and we will all continue to recommend it to others! Expensive but worth it!

From the moment we walked into the tour company we felt welcomed, they went over everything with us and told us what to expect .Our tour guide was awesome for the tour to The road to Hana, Our driver was very knowledgeable and very friendly, He told us so much about the area, and stopped at so many spots along our drive so we could get out and look around and take pictures, the tour was in a Luxury van that seated 6 of us and was very clean. He supplied us with water along the tour and we had lunch half way through our tour, A couple that came with us was Gluten free and they had a great lunch prepared for them, ours was also very good and they supplied a lot of food and juices and water.The lunch was all presented to us on a linen table cloth at a beach, what a treat.Along our trip to Hana we viewed Beautiful water falls, different types of trees ,amazing views, so much to speak of, but what a great way to see the road to Hana, once we reacted the top we were picked up by our Tour guide and Helicopter, He also was a great tour guide , all of us had never been on a helicopter before so he made us all feel comfortable, he had a great sense of humor and told us so much about the area. the helicopter ride was about 45 min, and it went by fast , I so enjoyed the view and the feeling of being above the clouds, Our tour guide made us feel so comfortable through out this whole trip.a high five to him. The trip was costly but we are so glad we did the tour that way we all could see everything, because if my husband was driving he wouldn't be able to view the scenic view that we sure, a day we will always remember, and we would do it again .I can't say enough good things about this trip.Aloha

Loved the tour guide, he was so awesome in knowledge of every part of the journey!

I was pleasantly surprised with the temptation tours luxury road to Hana experience. Although it was a bit pricey, I felt the entirety of the tour was well worth the amount. I saw everything on east maui that I wanted to ... see and some more. The tour guides were personal and informative. I was very happy I booked a full guided tour instead of doing a self drive. My partner and I got the full day we dreamt of when visiting the island of Maui!

Ernie was our tour guide and he was awesome! So informative and knowledgeable and educated us the entire time about the plants, fruits and land. You left feeling connected to the island and wanting more! So welcoming, so ... great. Besides the many waterfalls, black sand beach and Ernie as our guide it was well worth every penny!
