3 Day Uluru & Kings Canyon Premium Camping Tour Itinerary

Those who want to experience the true nature of the Australian Outback will adore this all inclusive (no hidden charges) 3 Day Uluru Tour From Alice Springs. From the striking red walls of Ayers Rock or Uluru to the sweeping valleys and star laden sky of Kings Canyon , this is the perfect chance to experience a myriad of colour and ancient culture with one of the most unique and exciting Alice Springs Tours.

Day One (lunch & dinner)

Alice Springs acts as the springboard for a phenomenal Uluru 3 Day Tour taking in the iconic landscapes of Australia’s Red Centre. Day 1 sees you travel towards what’s probably the world’s most famous outcrop – Uluru (Ayers Rock). The day begins with views across the desert from Mount Connor. Sometimes known as False Uluru for tricking unwary travellers, it sits within Curtin Springs cattle station.

The Red Centre’s indigenous interpretive cultural centre gives the lowdown on the geology, ecology and significance of Uluru to the region’s Aboriginal people. Uncover the fascinating stories further at the prehistoric rock arts sites around the base of Uluru.

The journey then continues to Kantju Gorge for a look at the highest waterfall in Central Australia. We finish off the day with a magical sunset over Uluru. The changing desert colours will just blow you away!

Day Two (breakfast, lunch & dinner)

Having woken early enough to enjoy the sunrise within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, you’ll be whisked away to the Kata Tjuta themselves. Still commonly known as the Olgas, these rocky domed formations are another unmissable Red Centre highlight. To see them at their very best, you’ll hike to the Valley of the Winds or to Walpa Gorge, with their multi-hour trails offering unrivalled views of the region.

In the afternoon we travel westward to Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon), a road journey that quickly envelopes you in unforgettable outback landscapes. Enjoy an authentic campfire dinner followed by stargazing like you’ve never experienced before.

Day Three (breakfast & lunch)

The final morning is spent exploring Kings Canyon on foot, with your guide pointing out the native species of flora and fauna you’re likely to encounter in this mix of soaring natural walls, pockets of forest and sparkling waterholes. The tour wraps up with a final journey through the desert to Alice Springs.

Her passion and her commitment to what she does is inspiring. She was vivacious, fun, kind, generous, always smiling, full of knowledge and I can't honestly say enough how grateful I am to have met her and spent that time with her. Love you CJ! I was initially skeptical of never having camped a day in my life, and here I was planning a 4 day camping trip straight into the outback. But now I can say that it was one of my most cherished memories, in Australia or my life in general. Mulgas Adventures takes you on a journey of incredible experiences and wonderful people. We covered alot of the sites, Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon, watched sunrises and sunsets and everyday was a unique experience. The food was delicious and watching the stars, sleeping in a swag was such a humbling experience, puts things straight into perspective. There is a very good reason why Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is UNESCO World Heritage-listed. The park was first added to the list in 1987 when the international community recognized its spectacular geological formations, rare plants and animals, and outstanding natural beauty. Your expert local guide will uncover some of the incredible secrets the Red Centre has to offer with guided commentary, stories, and hidden gems that really bring this place to life.

On tour you will hike and explore Watarrka National Park, home to Kings Canyon. Walk the iconic Kings Canyon Rim Walk (weather permitting) marveling at the famous locations, like Priscilla’s Crack (made famous by the classic Australian movie Priscilla Queen of the Desert), the weathered domes of ‘The Lost City, and the Garden of Eden.

We have a couple of different sleeping options available. This tour is one of our Uluru camping tours. If you are an adventurous traveler we have the traditional grassroots basic “swag” experience. This is sleeping under the stars in a canvas-covered bed roll. We also offer comfort camping on this tour with our Twin Share Pop-Up Safari Tents (ask us for more details).

Departing from either Alice Springs or Yulara (Uluru Airport) we head towards Ayers Rock stopping off at Mt Connor (false Uluru) lookout for a view of this mighty red mountain and Curtin Springs for a toilet stop before arriving at our campground for lunch. After lunch, those arriving via Ayers Rock Airport will join the group before we head to the Red Centre’s Aboriginal interpretive cultural centre. We have a chance to learn about the cultural, ecological, historical, and geological significance of this very special national park. With the anticipation and excitement growing we make a short drive towards the base of Uluru as we begin to comprehend the sheer size and magnificence of the giant monolith, getting up close and personal to explore further. Walking to Mutitjulu waterhole we discover sacred rock art sites in family caves and hear the creation stories of Kuniya and Liru as we continue our base walk towards Kuniya Piti. From here we drive around sacred sites towards Kantju Gorge where we envisage the highest waterfall in Central Australia, (truly a spectacle to behold, even more so when raining) an elders’ cave, and the world’s oldest pantry. After exploring the world’s most impressive rock up close and personal, we retreat for panoramic views to witness one of the most incredible sunsets on the planet, all whilst having dinner cooked for you, to feed those hungry eyes.

Meals: *Lunch, Dinner (*not included for guests being collected from Ayers Rock) Accom: Ayers Rock Coach Campground – Permanent Tents or Bush Swags (communal bathroom facilities) Driving Distance: 350km Hike Distance: 2-3 km / 2-3 hours

uluru camping tour 3 days

It’s an early rise and light breakfast as we head off for a spectacular sunrise in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. You thought Uluru was special and just when you think it couldn’t get any more majestic we approach the stunning silhouette of Kata Tjuta. Here we set off on a hike through the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge marveling at the mighty conglomerate rock formations. After exploring Kata Tjuta we make our way towards Kings Canyon region just in time to experience a glorious outback sunset followed by a hearty meal around the campfire.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Accom: Kings Creek Station – Permanent Tents or Bush Swags (communal campground facilities) Driving Distance: 406 km (4.5 Hours) Hike Distance: 2-6 km / 2-4 hours (*weather dependent)

uluru camping tour 3 days

We head off early to explore the mighty Kings Canyon (Watarrka) venturing into the ancient landscape and sacred grounds of the Ulpanyali and Lilla people. Arriving at the jewel in the crown at the centre of Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon) we find ourselves surrounded by towering 100-meter cliff faces, views of sandstone chasms, and jaw-dropping backdrops that will make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. Grab your water, hat, and sturdy shoes as we set off on foot to explore (the most seasonally applicable part of) the canyon in more detail. After a well-earned rest, you can now enjoy some downtime as the bus meanders through the spectacular route home via the Mareenie 4wd loop (or similar) through the West Macdonell Ranges to your final destination.

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.
