“we love it!” Review of Paul

We love to go there at any time of the day. It is a fine bakery with delicious pastry that you can also enjoy on-site because there are many confortable tables. You can smell a sweet vanilla scent as soon as you enter the shop and it makes you feel really good!! The menu is maybe not very big but you can have almost everything, from sweet to salty delikatessen! Of course their top is bread, there are many excellent types and they all are fresh and just baked. Also, you can sit and sip a good cappuccino or a cup of tea in the afternoon. The service is fast and waiters are polite. Prices are average, even lower than other bars around the area...

Very good bakery/patisserie in French style. Also pleasant for a coffee. Sandwiches, cakes, many types of bread.

Its something like a bakery, a breakfast place or both of them! They have a nice selection of sandwiches and pastries. I took in several occasions some sandwiches with nice white or black bread and tuna or ham. Everything was excellent. I didn't taste any pastry but looked marvelous. Overpriced (more than 5 euros per sandwich) but a nice selection to eat something light. They have some tables to serve customers but all the times I prefer the take-away than to stay in the place.

Just round the corner from the Mercure Arbat, as ever, this is a lovely place for a tea, coffee, snack, sandwich or a delicious dessert. Menu in Russian and French

I have had breakfast and snacks on numerous occasions in Dubai at Paul's at mall of the emirates and at burj man So with similar expectations we went to Paul's Arbat Moscow ... Me, my wife and our son But unfortunately right from the word go we only faced disappointments. Staff only speaks French...no English. So communicating is really tough! Further, the service is also average...no one looks at you to check what one needs. I had to go to the counter to order for coffee my self Also, the omlette we ordered were served Luke warm...not piping hot, as they should be

Populous cities like New York (No. 1), Miami (No. 2), and San Francisco (No. 3), bloom to the top of our ranking with high access to flower shops, delivery services, and events.

Scenic coasts and flowers go hand in hand - 33 California, 7 Florida, 6 Washington, and 5 Oregon cities sprout into the top 100. Evergreen State cities claim the best access to flower farms - Seattle (No. 4), for one, is surrounded by a whopping 36 flower farms.

Smaller cities like Asheville, North Carolina (No. 12), Bend, Oregon (No. 13), and Ann Arbor, Michigan (No. 14), stand out at the top thanks to their top-quality bouquets. Asheville also boasts annual flower festivals, such as Biltmore Blooms and the Asheville Orchid Festival .

Other small cities wilt to the end of our ranking - such as Alameda, California (No. 498), Woodbury, Minnesota (No. 499), and South Fulton, Georgia, in last place - with little access to fresh flowers. Most cities in the bottom 100 have populations below 200,000 - except for Toledo, Ohio (No. 411) and Corpus Christi, Texas (No. 415).

Behind the ranking

First, we determined the factors (metrics) that are most relevant to rank the Best Cities for Local Flowers. We then assigned a weight to each factor based on its importance and grouped those factors into 5 categories: Flower Access, Delivery Access, Vendor Quality, Local Demand, and Events. The categories, factors, and their weights are listed in the table below.

For each of the 500 biggest U.S. cities, we then gathered data on each factor from sources including the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers, EventsInAmerica.com, Festivalnet, Find A Florist, Garden Club of Virginia, Google Ads, International Flower Fairs, Local Flowers, Slow Flowers, Town & Tourist, and Yelp

Finally, we calculated scores (out of 100 points) for each city to determine its rank in each factor, each category, and overall. A city’s Overall Score is the average of its scores across all factors and categories. The highest Overall Score ranked “Best” (No. 1) and the lowest “Worst” (No. 500).
