WWE recently held their RAW Live Holiday Tour Event, which took place from inside the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The show saw WWE United States Champion Austin Theory defend his title against Seth “Freakin” Rollins in a Steel Cage Match in the main event.

Wwe holiday tour slams into rocket mortgage fieldhouse dec. 28, damian priest talks about his career, parma native the miz, who’s also on the bill.

“It’s funny — we have our TV shows, and they’re great, obviously, but the attraction of the WWE Holiday Tour is that it’s not on television, which makes it more intimate,” said WWE Superstar Damian Priest , calling from outside of Orlando.

“It’s a different type of enjoyment for us because we get to have more interaction with the crowd. These holiday tours — 100 percent — are like a must-attend. If you’re a fan of WWE, or any Superstars on the card, this is where you want to see them.”

The upcoming date features Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Austin Theory for the United States Championship Steel Cage Match, as well as Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch vs. Bayley in a Triple Threat Match for the RAW Women’s Championship.

Also set to appear are Street Profits, The O.C., The Judgement Day (including Priest), Johnny Gargano and Bobby Lashley.

Despite the fact Priest has been in the WWE spotlight for only about five years, the athlete has been a professional wrestler for about two decades.

While his rise to the Grandest Stage of Them All didn’t happen overnight, Priest wouldn’t have it any other way. And he said he hopes people hearing about his story can find inspiration to seek success in their own lives.

“I reached a point where I realized I wasn’t working the hardest for my own dream,” Priest said. “So I was the reason why it took me so long to make it, which I can admit now.

“There’s nothing wrong with that — I have no regrets. I think my journey is a story in itself, and I’m proud I was able to achieve my dream.”

That dream for Priest began in Puerto Rico, where he first came across professional wrestling on television. After spending his youth learning martial arts, the young man came stateside knowing he was on a path to the WWE.

“It was one of those things where I just never saw myself as being anything else,” Priest said. “Growing up, people would try to guide me to a different career.

“I don’t know, there was just something in me that knew I was born for this and nothing else. Because there was nothing else — and I promise you, not one other thing that I really thought I wanted to do with my life — I had to make it.”

Now that he’s made it into the WWE universe — with a signature move, The Reckoning — Priest is quickly making a name for himself. In 2021, he made memorable appearances at the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania 37 and SummerSlam.

It was at that WrestleMania that — with rapper-turned-wrestler-for-a-day Bad Bunny, nonetheless — Priest took on Northeast Ohio’s own The Miz, who is also on the upcoming card.

Considering his subsequent experiences with the Parma native, Priest can give fans an insider’s perspective regarding the awesome performer.

“Out of the ring, there’s really not a huge difference,” Priest said. “The guy who pinned me without his pants on in the ring because I ripped his pants off is just a funny guy, so we enjoy ourselves some Miz.”

If The Miz is a funny guy, how would Priest describe himself?

“I’m a funny guy, too,” Priest laughed. “I say jokes and people laugh. Now, I don’t know if they’re laughing because they’re funny or they think I’m going to hurt them if they don’t laugh.

“Just the same, I’m a lovable guy. I’m a cream puff — I look hard on the outside but am really soft and really enjoyable on the inside.”

For some reason, we’re guessing Priest doesn’t get called a cream puff too often in the ring.

“Oh, well, in the ring, no,” Priest laughed.

WWE held a live event at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio on December 28th, 2022. Several superstars from RAW brand were featured in the event and two championship matches took place.

Here are the results of the event:

• The RAW Women’s Championship match between Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch ended in a no-contest due to interference by Bayley. Bayley did a heel promo but Belair and Lynch took her out.
• The O.C. (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson & Mia Yim) defeated The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley) in a Six-Person Tag Team match.
• Dexter Lumis defeated The Miz by disqualification after Baron Corbin attacked. The Miz did a promo and tried to leave. Lumis then came out to stop Miz but Corbin attacked Lumis. Johnny Gargano and Moondog (the Clealand Cavaliers’ mascot) made the save, leading to a tag team match.

Predicting the SummerSlam 2024 card after WWE Clash at the Castle

A nother WWE premium live event is in the books. Clash at the Castle 2024 took place this Saturday in Glasgow, Scotland, in an event that had the match quality and atmosphere that fans could have hoped for.

The main event saw Drew McIntyre fall short of regaining the World Heavyweight Championship from Damian Priest, thanks to interference from "referee" CM Punk. With that, the rivalry between the two has been elevated to another level, as McIntyre lost the chance to win a world title in his home country.

While Piper Niven lost a chance to win the WWE Women's Championship from Bayley, Scotland did not leave empty-handed. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships from Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill in a triple threat tag team match also including Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark in front of their family and friends.

Cody Rhodes successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Championship in a bloody I Quit match against AJ Styles. Finally, Sami Zayn defended the Intercontinental Championship against Chad Gable.

With Clash at the Castle in the books, there is only one more premium live event remaining until SummerSlam 2024 on Saturday, Aug. 3, in Cleveland, Ohio. Before we get to Money in the Bank 2024 on July 6, let's take a crack at predicting the SummerSlam card.

Predicting WWE SummerSlam 2024 card after Clash at the Castle

First off, the King and Queen of the Ring have been guaranteed world title matches on their respective brands.

Gunther won the King of the Ring Tournament and will challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship. With Priest successfully retaining against McIntyre, it appears that the two are destined to face off at SummerSlam.

Nia Jax, who won the Queen of the Ring Tournament, will challenge for the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam. With Bayley once again defending the title, it appears that she will be facing Jax in Cleveland.

Now, the question is who will be next to challenge Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. While they did tease a match with Solo Sikoa, it feels like they did more to push for a Bloodline vs. Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton match at Money in the Bank. The biggest match available for Rhodes at SummerSlam would be against Orton. It's a money match that fans would get behind.

Gable once again failed to win the Intercontinental Championship. After trying to get Maxxine Dupri and Otis to cheat in the match on his behalf, every attempt backfired. Otis and Dupri both declined to help Gable. After Dupri hurt her ankle, Otis teased attacking Gable. Instead, Otis helped Dupri backstage, with Gable being distracted and getting hit by a Helluva Kick by Zayn to lose. It is only a matter of time until Otis attacks Gable after being belittled by him for months. That should lead to a match between the two at SummerSlam.

Belair and Cargill shockingly lost the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. It feels too soon for the duo to split and head for a one-on-one feud. So, let's have the duo challenge Fyre and Dawn for the titles at SummerSlam.

In recent weeks, LA Knight has let it be known that he wants a United States Championship match with Logan Paul. With Paul being a Cleveland native, he will undoubtedly be on the SummerSlam card. It would be something to see Knight win his first singles championship on a grand stage like SummerSlam.

Once Rhea Ripley is cleared from her shoulder injury, the first match she'll have will be against Liv Morgan, who won the Women's World Championship from Becky Lynch at King and Queen of the Ring. Morgan has been trying to tear apart Judgment Day with Ripley sidelined. While the match will happen eventually, it's unknown if it will be at SummerSlam. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Ripley may not be cleared in time for SummerSlam , as she opted to rehab her injury instead of getting surgery.

Finally, DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) feel destined to win the WWE Tag Team Championships from A-Town Down Under, who have teased a split in recent weeks. With Gargano being from Cleveland, he has to be on the card. How about a title defense against possibly the top heel tag team on the SmackDown roster -- Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa of the Bloodline? What a reaction Gargano and Ciampa would get as they try to hold off the Bloodline to retain their titles.

The Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 106-88 in Game 5 of the 2024 NBA Finals to clinch the franchise's 18th title.

Boston was led by Jayson Tatum , who had 31 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds. He joins Stephen Curry , Michael Jordan, James Worthy and Walt Frazier as the only players in NBA Finals history to have 30 points and 10 assists in a series-clinching win, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Jaylen Brown added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists, while Jrue Holiday had 15 points and 11 rebounds.

The Celtics last hoisted the Larry O'Brien trophy in 2008 when they faced the Los Angeles Lakers for the 11th time in NBA Finals history. Under the direction of then-head coach Doc Rivers, Boston overcame a Kobe Bryant-led Los Angeles team in six games. Paul Pierce was named Finals MVP after averaging 21.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists.

Al Horford had a dominant rookie season

Celtics center Al Horford made his NBA debut in the 2007-08 season. The Atlanta Hawks selected Horford as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft after his junior season with the Florida Gators where he averaged 13.2 points and 9.5 rebounds.

As a rookie, Horford played in 81 games and started 77 games for the Hawks.

Joe Mazzulla played for West Virginia

Mazzulla was wrapping up his junior season and heading into his senior year with the West Virginia Mountaineers when Boston was crowned champion again.

The lefty from Johnston, Rhode Island, averaged 5.8 points for West Virginia. He shot 45.8 percent from the field and 45 percent from deep.

Mazzulla played a prominent role in the Mountaineers' upset against the No. 2-seeded Duke Blue Devils in the NCAA men's tournament Round of 32. He posted 13 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in West Virginia's 73-67 win before losing to the No. 3 Xavier Musketeers in overtime in the Sweet 16.

Grand Theft Auto: IV hit the shelves

As we await the release date of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI video game, it's only fitting that Grand Theft Auto IV was released on April 28, 2008, the same year the Celtics last won the title.

Looking to capitalize on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the open-world game was set in Liberty City, which was based off New York City.

In its opening week, the game sold over six million copies on PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 gaming consoles, generating over $500 million in sales.
