Tour was fantastic until on last country of origin had trouble with checkin at our last accommodation. Could not checkin and had to find alternative accommodation

I took my family of five on this trip and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. Using Realistic Asia took out all of the guesswork. We just had to show up in the lobby of our accommodation at the right time and away we went on our adventures. The only times we were actually with another group were to Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay. This was a good way for our kids to get exposure to even more cultures and amazing people. Our guides were fantastic in each location. They did a wonderful job explaining historic and cultural information. Day 2 with BaVi Eco Tour was probably the most special. Trung, Mrs. Chin, and Duoc were so accommodating, and this set the mood for the rest of the trip. Ninh Binh is a bit touristy, but it’s well worth the visit. Ha Long Bay was my personal favorite and one night out there wasn’t enough for me. It is enchanting! Huy is hilarious and we loved hanging out with him. Cambodia went by too fast. Pin was a wonderful guide who has some awesome photography tricks up his sleeve. The temples are breathtaking and we already want to go back! Thailand was the relaxation we needed after all the other adventures. We did choose to stay in an accommodation I picked instead because I wanted to be directly on the beach. Dej made sure we got where we needed to be when we needed to be there. Though we didn’t get as much time with him, he, too, was fantastic. (And our driver. I feel terrible for forgetting his name.) The internal flights were seamless. We did have to connect in Bangkok but that wasn’t a big deal. Overall, we’d certainly book through Tour Radar again and Realistic Asia. Highly recommend this tour in particular. Be kind to the locals and you’ll see how much love they have to share!

If you’re ever thinking about doing an Intro trip just do it, you’ll have the absolute best time! I’ve just finished the 13 day Thailand Experience and can genuinely say it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. From start to finish you don’t have to think about anything but get to experience Thailands culture, islands and be introduced to its incredible people. It’s also very good value for money with a jam packed itinerary I could never have organised myself! Sophie Duncan, our group leader genuinely made the trip for all of us and is a credit to Intro. She was not only our leader she also became part of the group! We honestly could not have asked for anyone better, she made each and everyone feel comfortable with a huge smile on her face everyday and a genuine care for everyone on the trip. There was never any pressure to go out every night if you didn’t want to or to stay out drinking even if others were, Sophie would always walk you back to the hotel and make sure she knew you were safe. I’m jealous of anyone who’s yet to do an intro trip - you will have the best time and eat some of the most amazing food!

Rhi is an amazing trip manager, better than you can comprehend if you’ve never being on a trip with her. She is caring, thoughtful and makes an incredible effort to make sure you get everything out the trip you wanted. The Contiki itinary was already very good but with Rhi’s local knowledge, she was able to suggest extra things that weren’t included; whether that be activities or local cuisine.

Incredible experience. Definitely recommend. Only reason for the 4 stars is for some smaller things - not great accommodations, lots of awful driving experiences (if you have motion sickness, REALLY bad), the other people on the trip (very young crowd only interested in partying - not interested in the culture of Thailand). Our guide was outstanding. The activities themselves were amazing as well. If you get a good group, you’re sure to have an absolutely amazing time. Took me a few days to find likeminded people to hang out with, but once I found them, I had the time of my life.

This was my first trip with Tru Travels and first ever group tour in general and I had the best time! Can’t thank Mickey enough for making sure we were all happy, going above and beyond to provide all the information we needed and making sure we had the time of our lives even through the lows. You can tell he really loves his job and is somehow always happy! I loved the combination of doing the north and south of Thailand, there was always a good balance of having lots of activities to do and things to see as well being able to wind down and relax. Overall, it was a good experience that I wouldn’t do again😁 it’s a backpacking tour, but some of the hostel we stayed in has no AC and it was not one location. The places we visited were amazing and lucky me to see these places. Tour guide was not welcoming at start but and she didn’t introduce us to each other properly.

Jay Jay and Morgan were great tour guides! My husband and I requested private accommodations the first day of the tour (for a separate upgraded cost, of course) and they made those arrangements for us seamlessly. They also had numerous recommendations for food and activities on the days we had free time, which was very helpful. We loved this tour and enjoyed our time immensely!

Wat een geweldige reis! Alles was perfect geregeld, van vervoer tot hotel. Van gids tot alle activiteiten. We hebben meer gezien en gedaan dan in het programma stond, maar dat heeft wellicht te maken met dat wij in het laagseizoen onze reis hebben gemaakt. Wij kunnen helemaal niets bedenken wat beter of anders zou moeten of kunnen. Mooier dan dit had onze reis niet kunnen worden.

The tour guides were very good and accommodating. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Overall it was a great experience in Bangkok and Phuket.

We did the 23 day Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand tour. Here are our thoughts and some hopefully helpful information for those considering this trip in the future. We loved Vietnam. Our guide Duc was excellent and the pace was varied with some long days interspersed with shorter days. In this leg, we got to spend time in the cities and villages exploring and did a multitude of different activities. Very good mix of things. Loved Ha Long Bay. Cambodia was fine. It was only 5 days and our guide was ok. Some neat adventures like the bamboo train and bat cave, plus Angkor Wat as the highlight. Thailand was terrible. We spent 4 days out of 6 on the bus for over 6 hours each day just visiting temples. Too many temples and too long on the bus. We would arrive at hotels after 7 pm, told to find dinner but have your bags out by 630 am the next morning. No time to explore the towns or enjoy the hotel amenities. The itinerary was a joke for these times talking about enjoying time at the pool or local markets when we arrived so late. Little to no culture in the Thailand tour. We felt cheated on learning about Thailand, and it was exhausting. We would recommend travel talk do up some FAQs for travellers speaking about visas, (some wasted money on a Cambodian e visa and photo, neither of which was needed) currencies, water consumption, luggage limits well before the trip (were told limits 3 days before when we had already left home). Tell people inclusion fees must be paid in cash so people can plan for this. No credit card option is available. So be prepared to visit the atm regularly. The overall itinerary needs to be updated as prices are not current and some places have been closed since Covid and substitutions were made. Some optional activities were not available. Our actual tour ended 2 days before it should have with the Thailand guide leaving us Friday afternoon and we were on own own the rest of that day, Saturday and Sunday morning. Look for hotels closer to things to do in the cities. Some were more than 30 minutes away from anything and nothing around for restaurants. Overall, we could recommend Vietnam and perhaps Cambodia, but not Thailand.

Great tour with the most friendly Tourguide you can get! We went on the River Kwai & Ancient Thai Kingdoms tour in may 2024 and we loved the insights we received! Our Tourguide, Nai, has been so kind and knowledgeable and really made our experience worth. After a very interesting stop in ayutthaya, where you can experience the summer residence of the King as well as the ancient temples from the old capital the tour moved on to Kanchanaburi where we stayed for two nights. There we were able to experience and swim in the beautiful Erawan Waterfalls, see the Kwai bridge and ride along the infamous Burma Siam Railway. You will also learn a lot about the constructions of the railway during world war 2 where many local workers and Prisoners of War built the railway in 1 year with many casualties due to the difficult terrain and working conditions - the cemetery and the museum a very well kept and very informative. Last but not least, you will also experience the night market where Nai showed us a lot of local specialities that we were eager to taste. Overall and amazing experience that was a perfect way to spend three days around Bangkok. 5/5 well deserved!
