The popular K-Pop group just announced they’re playing venues all over the world on their ‘NCT DREAM WORLD TOUR <THE DREAM SHOW 3 : DREAM( )SCAPE>.’

That includes seven huge North American arena concerts.

Midway through their brief U.S. run, the Jaemin, Jisung, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle and Mark Lee will drop into Belmont Park, NY’s UBS Arena on Saturday, Sept. 21.

This tour — NCT Dream’s biggest international outing to date — comes on the heels of their last global jaunt ‘THE DREAM SHOW 2.’

Their next run promises to showcase the septet’s music, artistry and new stage production, according to a press release.

Taylor Swift unveils new Eras Tour set list in Paris with these 'Tortured Poets' tracks

PARIS, France — Fans waited two months for Taylor Swift to return to her Eras Tour . It was worth it. On Thursday, the singer-songwriter relaunched the massive tour at La Défense Arena in Paris after releasing her 11th era album "The Tortured Poets Department" last month.

Swift extended the set list by one track to land at 46 songs. But many changes were made along the way. She added a new era for "The Tortured Poets Department," cut a handful of songs from other eras and rearranged most of the eras including combining the sets for "Folklore" and "Evermore."

A year ago, the 3-hour, 10-era set list with 44 songs was unveiled in Glendale, Arizona. The singer switched her "Folklore" opener from "Invisible String" to "The 1" in Texas (only bringing the former song back once in Nashville where a bench is dedicated to her in Centennial Park ). After the release of "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" in Kansas City, Missouri, crowd-favorite "Long Live" was added to make the set list 45 tracks long.

Schoolboy Q: 'Rappers Are Just Content Creators Now'

Q sits down for a nearly hour-long chat with Elsie not Elise. This summer, he'll take 'BLUE LIPS' on the road for a weekends-focused tour.

The idea of so-called "content creation" has changed the landscape of the music industry, per Schoolboy Q .

In a recent 54-minute chat with Elsie not Elise ( @elsienotelisee ), Q was asked about recent talk of rap sales dropping as of late (pre-beef, at least) and the cynically repeated assertion that hip-hop is "dead." This argument is thrust upon all genres, it seems, but Q noted that the real issue is more nuanced than that.

"It’s cooked," Q, whose excellent new album BLUE LIPS arrived last month, said around 29 minutes in. "That’s because it’s just content. Like I said, it’s just content. The sales thing, that shit been stopped mattering a long time ago. Right before CrasH Talk , around 2016 is when you saw [the decline] with sales and then streaming came and then it became crazy."

However, Q pointed out, it's "the same six artists" who dominate streaming, despite streaming execs arguing that hip-hop at large "is still the biggest shit."

Adding to that deeper into the conversation, Q, who also made it clear that there is indeed plenty of "good music" out there among newer artists, explained how the crowded space and politics of the streaming age can result in great work being lost in the shuffle of it all. 

"I mean, yes, it’s still good music," he said. "But what I’’m saying is it’s just oversaturated and it’s just relationship-based and for the most part, it’s cooked because it turned to content. Like, rappers are just content creators now. Fuck a album. Shit, I’m giving you every fucking thing before I can give you anything."

Q made it clear he’s not worried about anyone getting "mad" about this assessment, nor is he speaking about any particular artists. Instead, his comments are meant in a broader sense.

"You’re not a rapper, you’re a content creator," he added. "I'm not talking about nobody specific. I’m talking about a lot of motherfuckers. I get it. Put content out, I guess. But, I mean, it should represent something though, right?"

Review of blue dream melody.

The 2002-built (as AIDAvita) cruise ship Blue Dream Melody was the second-oldest and smallest in AIDA's fleet - following the sistership AIDAaura/now Celestyal Discovery . For the Chinese travel brand Blue Dream Cruises, the ship's fleetmate is Blue Dream Star (2001-built).

Before the ownership change in January 2024, the AIDAvita vessel (IMO number 9221554) was Portugal Madeira- flagged (MMSI 255919000) and registered in Funchal . During its AIDA service (until February 2023), the vessel was Italy-flagged (MMSI 247114900), with port of registry Genova .

The vessel is currently Liberia-flagged (MMSI 636022869) and registered in Monrovia .

History - construction and ownership

On June 14, 2022, was announced that the 20-year-old AIDAvita will not resume operations as the ship is sold and leaves the fleet. There were speculations that AIDAvita is acquired by Cordellia Cruises India.

Vita's last AIDA schedule had listed a total of 30x voyages (departures between July 24, 2022, and February 26, 2024) all of which were canceled.

During the COVID crisis and up to July 2023, AIDAvita spent most of the time docked at Port Tallinn Estonia , being maintained by a skeleton crew.

Currently (since January 2024), the ship Blue Dream Melody is owned by Suzhou Taihu International Travel Ltd (China) via its subsidiary Fujian China Transport Investment Group Co Ltd (China/2016-founded) which owns the company/travel brand Blue Dream Cruises China.

The shipowner Fujian China Transport Investment Group also owns the Chinese travel brands "Diamond Cruise Line" and "National Cruise".

On January 12, 2023, the Chinese company acquired the vessel (temporarily named AVITAK) from the previous owner Beta Marine Ltd (1987-founded, Hardwicke England-based manufacturer of marine diesel engines and generator sets). The vessel left Tallinn on Jan 26th (at 16:23 UTC), en route to China.

The 1300-passenger ship AIDAvita was designed as "club ship", ultra-casual like all vessels in AIDA's fleet. The five AIDAvita bars are also designed in a casual mood. The popularity of AIDA ship family made AIDA services appreciated and famous by the cruising community.

Before the start of revenue operations for the new Chinese owner, the ship was scheduled to enter drydock for extensive refit/modifications (technical overhaul, maintenance works, classification inspections, superstructure and hull cleaning/repainting). A major interior refurbishment (redesign/renovations of all public spaces and staterooms) was also planned to make the ship attractive to Chinese travelers.

Decks and Cabins

AIDAvita staterooms (633 total, in 9 grades) include 2 Suites, 62 Balconies, 357 Oceanviews, and 214 Inside cabins. The largest accommodations are the Forward-Facing Premium Suites (sized 355 ft2 / 33 m2 plus private sundeck terrace sized 270 ft2 / 25 m2).

The boat has 12 decks , of which 10 are passenger-accessible and 5 with cabins.

Shipboard dining options - Food and Drinks

There are a couple of bigger restaurants onboard, the one of which is called the Calypso and the other - Markt Restaurant. Both offer open-seating, buffet meals. There are no strict dress codes or fixed dining times. Basic beverages, including house wines and beer, are free of charge during meals at the buffet restaurants. There are also several beverage packages that may be bought at reduced rates. The extra-tariff a la carte Rossini includes waiter service and near-gourmet food with good quality.

AIDAvita entertainment facilities include the theatre (Das Theater) - the largest public room onboard, and the huge AIDA Bar & Anytime Disco. Onboard AIDAvita you can practice swimming (a pool is provided), volleyball, basketball, and golf. Try also the fitness center Fit & Fun. The SPA Body & Soul will really make you relax. The pool deck area is designed like a beach - with many palm trees, artificial rock formations, volleyball and basketball courts. AIDAvita guests may choose from several shore excursion options.

Itineraries

AIDAvita itinerary program was based on Northern European and Canaries voyages leaving roundtrip from Germany (homeports Hamburg and Warnemunde-Rostock ). Itineraries visited ports in Norway (Norwegian Fjords), England UK, France (Honfleur), Holland (Rotterdam), Portugal's Madeira Island, Spain's Canary Islands (Gran Canaria, La Gomera, La Palma, El Hierro, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote), Iberia (seaports in Spain and Portugal).

Due to the Coronavirus crisis, the AIDA ship Vita was paused for 3+ years (March 2020 through February 2023) but was scheduled to resume passenger shipping operations after 2 years (on March 31, 2022). However, the restart date was rescheduled several times and eventually canceled entirely (see the ship's Wiki section /page-bottom). The Russia-Ukraine crisis also played a role in the cancellations.

AIDAvita was AIDA 's second-oldest ship - after AIDAaura/now Celestyal Discovery . The christening ceremony was held in Warnemunde Germany on May 4, 2002. The ship's godmother was Doris Schroder-Kopf - the wife of Gerhard Schroder (1944-born, who was Germany's Chancellor in the period 1998-2005). Both vessels were designed as "ultra-casual club ships".

Like all AIDA ships, Vita carried its own fleet of complimentary bicycles for passengers to use in call ports during the voyage. A significant amount of interior space is devoted to sports. The onboard language was German as most AIDA customers are German-speaking Europeans (Germans, Austrians, Swiss), the majority of whom are young and active.

The vessel (Nordic Yards Wismar hull number A325283/Aker MTW yard hull number 005) has volume 42289 GT-tons, DWT-deadweight 4232, max width 35,5 m (including the Bridge wings), max draught 6,3 m. The propulsion is diesel-electric and the powerplant is based on Wartsila diesel generators powering two ABB electric motors (model AMZ 1600YX-14) with combined output 18,8 MW (25210 hp). When managed by AIDA CRUISES, the shipowner was COSTA CROCIERE SPA.

In June 2023, Blue Dream Cruises signed a partnership deal with Starboard Cruise Services (1958-founded, Doral Florida-based company owned by LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton/French holding specializing in luxury goods). The deal makes Blue Dream Melody the second Chinese-owned cruise vessel (after the fleetmate Blue Dream Star ) providing Starboard's onboard retail shopping services. Among the premium brands now available at the ship's duty-free shops are Armani, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Prada, Ray-Ban, Love Moschino, premium Swiss watch brands (Longines, Tissot, Titoni), as well as international and Asian brands like Sisley (perfumes, clothing, accessories), Shiseido (makeup and cosmetics), Sulwhasoo (skincare and beauty products).

AIDAvita refurbishment 2020 review

The ship's last drydock by AIDA was in 2020 (March 25 - April 15, in Dubai UAE ) was a USD 30 million project initially planned to be conducted at Sembawang Shipyard (in Singapore ).

Works included technical (machinery) maintenance and regular renovation of all staterooms and public spaces (including new carpeting, upholstery, curtains).

AIDAvita refurbishment 2017 review

The ship's drydock 2017 refurbishment (March 25 through April 4) was at Lloyd Werft (in Bremerhaven Germany ) resulted in the following deckplan changes and upgrades:

• (deck 10) The old Waikiki Lounge (teen club) was transformed into Beach Lounge (offering cruise itinerary-themed food and drinks). Seaside Lounges (the lounge's outdoor terrace) was equipped with windbreaks and heaters.
• The outdoor areas of Anytime Bar (deck 10) and Ocean Bar (deck 7) were refurbished with new furniture.
• (deck 10) The pool deck area was fully modernized and redesigned for more space.
• (deck 10) Pool Grill bar's seating area was redesigned. The bar now offers typical American cuisine (burgers with wedges, bagels, wraps and other fast-food items).
• (deck 8) The photoshop was expanded and the ship's onboard photo services were upgraded.
• (deck 8) The Rossini restaurant was transformed into "Selection Restaurant" - offering regional (cruise itinerary-based) specialties and delicacies.
• Public spaces (area sized approx 2500 m2 / 27,000 ft2) received new carpeting.

A total of 9000 L of paint were used for the ship's exterior. Additionally, regular safety and general maintenance works were done.

AIDAvita refurbishment 2014 review

During drydock 2014 November ( Naples Italy ), the ship received new Seaside Lounges in the Anytime Bar (an outdoor area on deck 10). The machinery was also upgraded and new scrubbers were installed (exhaust gas treatment system).

The public areas and Body & Soul's sports area were redesigned and enlarged. AIDA also expanded the range of training opportunities for travelers with limited walking ability, making the ship's sports area wheelchair-accessible.

Also new are the digital photo kiosks at the Photo Shop.

AIDAvita refurbishment 2011 review

AIDAvita deckplan changes after drydock 2011 included adding Waikiki Lounge (new teen lounge, located forward-portside on Deck 10) and Art Gallery (Deck 8).

The ship's fitness equipment was renewed.

Anytime Disco (Deck 10) was completely redesigned.

NCT Dream will perform seven concerts in the United States during its 2024 "The Dream Show 3" tour. Live Nation

South Korean boy band NCT Dream has announced “The Dream Show 3″ tour that includes seven stops in the United States.

The band has “been sweeping Korean and Asian Awards with their excelling vocal ability and performance, truly embodying the spirit of ‘Dream’ team and it has driven them to win the grand prize of Seoul Music Awards consecutively in 2022 and 2023, as well as best record of the year and best male group at Melon Music Awards etc.,” according to a press release from Live Nation.

The tour includes concerts in Latin America, the U.S. and Europe. It kicked off with three sold-out performances at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome.

After concerts in China, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Columbia, Brazil, Chile and Mexico, the band will perform in the United States.

The concerts in the United States are:

Sept. 12 - Intuit Dome, Los Angeles, California

Sept. 14 - Oakland Arena, Oakland, California

Sept. 17 - Dickies Arena, Fort Worth, Texas

Sept. 19 - Gas South Arena, Duluth, Georgia

Sept. 21 - UBS Arena, Belmont Park, New York

Sept. 24 - Capital One Arena, Washington, D.C.

Sept. 26 - United Center, Chicago, Illinois

The tour continues to Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.

Students inspired after Martin Luther King Jr. Commission ‘dream keepers’ Tour in D.C,

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Commission is rounding out its anti-bullying campaign in Washington D.C. for its ‘Dream Keepers Tour’ by reflecting on what they have learned, and the memories made.

Executive Director of the commission, Dushun Scarbrough says this journey was special.

“It’s been really wonderful to hear that their lives have changed through being able to take these trips for the purpose of education,” said Scarbrough.

On Thursday, the commission traveled back to Arkansas from the nation’s capital with the group of students who traveled with them. Scarbrough says they had to leave later than expected because of the weather.

“We have to be strategic in our way of approaching the severe weather that’s before us so we want to make sure that kids safety is first so we’re going to start off a little bit late,” said Scarbrough.

However, for the students from central Arkansas who went along on the trip say the weather didn’t impact their experience.

“A lot of us talked about the trip. It helped us open up her eyes to the many opportunities out there in the world,” said Chandler Laurent, Pine Bluff High School Student.

The students say they had many favorable moments on the tour.

Other Pine Bluff High School students like Makayla Young say, “The White House tour” was her favorite moment, while Anthony Goldsmith says, “when we went down to the Washington Monument.”

While Chandler Laurent said his favorite moment was the surprise trip that took the students on to New York City; Lauren Grey, a student with Little Rock School District says her favorite moment was also New York.

While other students say their favorite moment of the tour was the unveiling of the Daisy Bates statue in the National Statuary Hall, U.S. Capitol.

“It had to be seeing Ms. Daisy Bates statue,” said Raylei Reed.

Laurent says he learned a lot on the tour, especially about Bates.

“I’m going to be honest with you coming on this trip I didn’t really know too much about Daisy Bates, I gained a lot of knowledge about her,” said Laurent.

Education was an important part of the trip and so was Anti-bullying, a campaign they took to the Lincoln Memorial.

“I’m going to strive to do more, and do better and be better,” said Takriah Rodgers, Pine Bluff High School Student.

Scarbrough says he is glad that the students took an interest in the trip and want to learn more.

“It’s something that made a difference, that really speaks volumes and is great about what we are doing,” said Scarbrough.

Anthony Goldsmith who is a student at Pine Bluff High School says he felt “inspired” after the entire tour.

“Everyone has the power to do something important in their lives.”

SM Entertainment’s septet — comprised of members Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Jisung, Chenle, and Haechan — have just revealed the complete list of stops on their  The Dream Show 3: Dream( )scape  tour, so prepare your best neon green outfit and mark your calendars accordingly.

NCT Dream first unveiled their  The Dream Show 3: Dream( )scape , named after their last six-song EP titled  Dream()scape , which features the title track “Smoothie,” back in February, announcing nine stops across Asia and teasing fans with a “stay tuned” message for Latin America, the United States, and Europe given rough timeframes.

Today, May 8, the group is finally sharing specifics on the remaining dates and stops on  The Dream Show 3: Dream( )scape  tour for fans. The full list of shows, including venues, is detailed below:

These dates are additions to the previously announced shows across Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines, which will take place from May until early August. The group will also have encores in Seoul after wrapping up the European leg of the tour.

NCT Dream officially kicked off The Dream Show 3: Dream( )scape  tour at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome this past weekend with three shows back to back, held on May 2, 3, and 4. If you need a taste of what to expect at the following stops, they have also put out an official playlist for the tour .
