Chippendales na vijf jaar weer naar Nederland

Alphen aan den Rijn – In december trekken de Chippendales twee weken door Nederland met hun volledig nieuwe ‘Get Naughty’ tour. Dit is de eerste keer dat de Chippendales weer in ons land zijn na hun succesvolle ‘About Last Night’ tournee in 2018. Op zaterdag 16 december zijn de razend populaire mannelijke entertainers te zien in Alphen aan den Rijn. De kaartverkoop is reeds gestart via de website van Theater Castellum.

De Chippendales zijn al jarenlang een wereldwijd succes en trekken jaarlijks meer dan twee miljoen bezoekers naar hun shows. Na verschillende succesvolle tours keren de heren in december terug naar de Nederlandse theaters om het publiek tot het uiterste te verleiden. De Chippendales staan bekend om hun shows waarin ze met gewaagde choreografie en vaak ontblote bovenlijven bezoekers in vervoering brengen. Keer op keer weten deze gespierde mannen hun publiek te boeien met een indrukwekkend spektakel dat niet onderdoet voor een Broadway-show in New York.

Sinds het ontstaan van de Chippendales in een nachtclub in New York, is de populariteit van de groep mannelijke entertainers onverminderd groot. De razend populaire sensatie rondom de spierbundels heeft meerdere titels gewonnen, waaronder al 11 jaar op rij die van Best Male Revue Show & Best Bachelorette Party in “Best of Las Vegas”. Collars&Cuffs

The history of CHIPPENDALES begins in 1979 when the Indian emigrant Somen Banerjee bought an old bar in Los Angeles. Inspired by British furniture maker Thomas Chippendale, he converted the bar into a club called “Chippendales”. Here he develops a show with ten to twelve dancers who embody the most diverse types of men. Her legendary trademark: “Collars&Cuffs” (bow ties and cuffs). The club is so successful that the show is brought to New York, where it immediately hits home. With the two shows in the tourist cities of New York and Los Angeles, the CHIPPENDALES quickly made a name for themselves in the USA. Every woman who has seen the Chippendales tells her friends, sisters, mothers and grandmothers about this unique show. Today, the CHIPPENDALES perform in their very own Las Vegas theater year-round to a full audience.    It quickly becomes clear why the CHIPPENDALES are the undisputed No. 1 worldwide in the field of women’s entertainment: they have style and class. Biography - Chippendales

From the dimly lit nightclub in Los Angeles to the big show stage: as pioneers of male striptease, the Chippendales have been setting their own standards for over four decades. In addition to sizzling eroticism, elaborately choreographed dance and song numbers are an integral part of changing Chippendales shows. Wherever these muscle-bound entertainers perform, the predominantly female audience goes into raptures.

Making a virtue of necessity: Like many brilliant ideas, the foundation of the probably most famous stripper formation in the world is based on a seemingly hopeless situation. Because their nightclub called "Destiny II" was barely making a profit worth mentioning, Somen "Steve" Banerjee and Bruce Nahin first hired a group of male dancers and strippers in 1979.

Under the direction of Paul Snider, the stage performers, named after the Chippendale furnishings of their new venue, quickly advance to become a much sought-after export hit. The first Chippendales tours are still limited to US territory, but soon the whole world is at the feet of the handsome multi-talents. With their stimulating performance art, the Chippendales found a new era of stylish eroticism .

The Chippendales conquer the world

As the happy news of this extraordinary live experience quickly spreads, the Chippendales continue to cultivate their signature style. From the beginning, the white collars with black bow ties and the sleeve cuffs around the wrists act as a signature identifier. Even though the sleeves come off in the course of every Chippendales show, these elements run like a red thread through the choreographies presented with heart and soul.

After the turn of the millennium, the Chippendales are on the road in a quintuple line-up: while four ensembles are divided between the west and east coasts of the USA, Boston and the gambling metropolis of Las Vegas, a fifth formation takes on the Chippendales tours in Europe and South Africa.

Varying guest stars from US actor Tyson Beckford to German comedian Faisal Kawusi complete the well-rehearsed teams and provide surprise moments. Even stars from reality TV formats occasionally let their clothes down: TV Bachelor Paul Jahnke, for example, joined the strippers for the 2019 Germany tour.

Wie immer absolutes Highlight!

Ich war vor ca. 4 Jahren das letzte Mal bei den Chippendales, und ich muss sagen, sie sind auch heute noch sensationell. Meine Freundin, welche ich fast etwas widerwillig mitgeschleppt habe, war am Ende so begeistert, dass sie mich anwies für das nächste Jahr wieder ein Ticket für sie zu nehmen. Das sagt doch alles? Man muss es gesehen haben!

Die Show war unglaublich. ich und meine Freundinnen hatten einen super Abend. Die Chipps sind hot hot hot! Ich kann die Show nur weiterempfehlen und werde selbst sicher wieder die Chipps besuchen.
