Lfc stadium tours and museum open again.

Liverpool Football Club has re-opened its internal tours and museum, in time for the final weekend of half-term.

Following a phased re-opening in line with government guidelines since April 16, the club is now able to open up its LFC Stadium Tour along with The Liverpool FC Story museum. The club is working closely with city partners to ensure a safe return for visitors and has also received the We’re Good To Go industry standard and consumer mark to reassure that the club is adhering to government and public health guidance.

To ensure visitor safety, the tours and museum team have implemented extensive health and safety measures, making it a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Capacity will be limited to allow visitors to maintain social distancing. All tours must be booked in advance as walk-up sales cannot be accommodated. Visitors will also find hand sanitising stations on entry, implemented enhanced cleaning regimes, and clear social distancing guidelines.

For a safe flow of visitors in and out, there is the introduction of a newly-designed one-way system with two-metre markers in place to ensure social distancing is maintained. The multimedia handsets available will also issue an alert to remind visitors to keep their distance along the tour route – these will be sanitised thoroughly between each use and visitors can use their own headphones if they wish. With the multimedia handsets the tour is available in 11 different languages.

On the LFC Stadium Tour, fans will enjoy epic views of the pitch and city landscape from the top level of the Main Stand, visit the state-of-the-art home team dressing room, practise their post-match interview technique in the press room, pass under the This Is Anfield sign, and take a spine-tingling walk down the players’ tunnel into the stadium bowl. Whilst in the stadium bowl there is also a photo opportunity in Jürgen Klopp’s matchday seat in the home dugout.

The tour also includes entry to the club’s interactive museum, The Liverpool FC Story, the six European Cups and The Boom Room: The Epic Story of Jürgen Klopp’s Dream Team. This latest addition to the museum exhibition gives a unique exploration into the DNA of this historic Liverpool team which is a must-see for all Reds fans.

All till points and payments are now contactless or payment via debit/credit card, and visitors will be required to print their tickets in advance or display them on a mobile device.

The Boot Room Sports Cafe will remain closed. However, Anfield’s superstore will be open to the public and will have the new 2021-22 home kit available.

FC Barcelona return to the United States for preseason tour

The FC Barcelona men’s first team will repeat the last season’s destination and travel once again to the United States for their preseason tour, BARÇA ON TOUR: US 2023, in which they will play a total of four matches, all against European opposition. The first two games will be played in California; 22 July against Juventus in Santa Clara, San Francisco Bay Area, and on 26 July against Arsenal FC. The last two games will take place in Dallas Texas, for the clash with Real Madrid on 29 July and in Las Vegas where the tour will conclude with a game against AC Milan.  

The US Summer Tour 2022 saw the Barça play on the East Coast with games in Miami and New York – as well as games in Las Vegas and Dallas – cities which hosted the majority of the Club’s institutional and social activities. This year the geographical emphasis has shifted to the West Coast where the majority of the Club’s activities will take place and where they will play three of their four scheduled games.  

The blaugranes’ debut on the tour will come on 22 July against Juventus in the Levis Stadium, Santa Clara in San Francisco, home of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers. It will be the third time that Barça have played at the venue which has room for 68,000 fans following matches against Manchester United in 2015 and AC Milan in 2018. The most recent encounter between Barça and Juventus came in a friendly last season on tour, the game ended in a 2-2 draw.  

The other games in California will come against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side on 26 July in the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Los Angeles, a venue opened in 2020 with a capacity of 70,000 and the ground where the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams of the NFL play their home matches. The fixture between the two sides will be their first in seven seasons, the last meeting having come in the last sixteen of the UEFA Champions League in 2016 in which Barça won 2-0 in London and 3-1 at Spotify Camp Nou. The game will also be the first on American soil between the two clubs.  

Another Clásico in Arlington, Texas  

The summer tour this year will also include one of the most awaited matches for the fans, the Clásico, the third meeting between Barça and Real Madrid in the USA. He game will take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas which has a capacity of 80,000 and is home to the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. The venue is one that Barça have visited twice previously; in 2011 against Manchester United and in 2018 against AS Roma. In their two previous games against Real Madrid in the US, Barça have come out on top both times: winning 3-2 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami in 2017 and 1-0 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in 2022.  

The Allegiant Stadium, which holds 65,000 fans, will be the venue for the final game of the tour for Xavi Hernández’s men against AC Milan, the third game on the west coast. The two teams have met on two previous occasions on US soil with a 2-0 win for Barça in 2003 in Washington and a 1-0 win for the Italians in 2018 in Santa Clara.

These four games during BARÇA ON TOUR: US 2023 are part of the Soccer Champions Tour, a tournament put together by Sixth Street in collaboration with Legends and AEG, and in which, aside from Barça and their four opponents on the tour, Manchester United will also be participating.

This summer’s tour will be the 14 th in FC Barcelona history to the USA (the first in 1937 was key in the Club’s survival), a country that has become a popular destination in recent years with tours taking place in 2011, 2015, 2017, 2018, the latter being a joint tour with the women’s team, as well as 2019 and 2022.  

In fact, the North American market in a key priority for the globalisation and expansion the Barça brand. Football is undergoing a great period of growth in the USA that trend will hopefully continue with the next World Cup in 2026 taking place on North American soil. Furthermore, FC Barcelona opened a US office in New York in 2016 and continues its efforts to build a greater connection with its existing fans and win more followers and reach agreements with local sponsors to help develop even further the country’s footballing ecosystem.

Players from Football of Africa FC set to tour Spain

The club will be represented by eight u11, six u13, three u15, seven u17 and four u19 players in the andalusian city of malaga..

The Football of Africa (FOA) FC chairman, Mohamed Lawal expressed his delight after some of the club’s players were selected for the Football Union Team tour of Spain in July next year.

A total of 28 players made the cut after incredible performances during the Football Union Youth Cup where the club’s U13 and U19 teams walked away with the championships in their divisions on June 22.

The U15 and U17 teams clinched runners-up spots in the tournament after losing their finals on penalties.

The club, which has players from all over Ekurhuleni, will be represented by eight U11, six U13, three U15, seven U17 and four U19 players in the Andalusian city of Malaga from July 7 to 14.

Lawal said he was immensely proud of his club’s achievements, adding this selection marks a significant milestone for the players and will offer them a platform to gain experience and exposure in Europe.

“Our players have shown incredible talent and dedication. Their hard work has paid off and being selected for the Football Union Team tour of Spain is a fantastic opportunity for them to grow and develop further,” he said.

Their success at the recent Football Union Youth Cup and the selection of multiple players for the Spain tour underscores the FOA’s commitment to nurturing young talented players and fostering a bright future for football in Ekurhuleni, said Lawal.

“The FOA looks forward to continuing its journey of excellence and contributing to the development of youth football in the community.”

“As the youngsters prepare for their upcoming tour of Spain, the entire Ekurhuleni community is behind them and is eager to cheer them on and celebrate their future successes,” concluded Lawal.

Lauryn Hill and the Fugees have announced fall dates for their ongoing anniversary tour celebrating her landmark 1998 solo album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, ” as well as the group’s smash album of two years earlier, “The Score.”

The Fugees will co-headline all dates, and Hill’s son, YG Marley — whom nearly the entire group joined onstage at the Coachella festival earlier this year — will be joining as support. The tour launches in Florida on August 9 and continues in Europe beginning Oct. 12.

Update, Saturday, 11:15 a.m. ET: The start of the third round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic is delayed an additional 30 minutes. The first tee time is now scheduled for 12:48 p.m. ET. PGA TOUR LIVE coverage will begin at 1 p.m. The final pairing of Akshay Bhatia, Aaron Rai and Taylor Montgomery are set to tee off at 3 p.m. off the first tee.

Update, Saturday, 11:00 a.m. ET: Round 3 has been suspended an additional 30 minutes, with the first tee time set to begin at 12:18 p.m. ET. Preferred lies are in effect for the third round.

Update: Saturday, 9:00 a.m. ET: Round 3 has been suspended and tee times are delayed one hour, set to range from 11:48 a.m. ET to 2 p.m. ET.

Saturday's third-round tee times at the Rocket Mortgage Classic were moved up due to anticipated inclement weather, PGA TOUR Communications announced Friday. Rain and thunderstorms are expected to move east of Detroit Golf Club between 9:30-10 a.m. ET. Tee times are set to range from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. off split tees from Nos. 1 and 10.

Here is a look at the day-by-day weather forecast for the final two rounds:

Saturday: An isolated shower or thunderstorm will remain possible into the early afternoon before drier conditions return for the rest of the day. The cold front may produce an isolated t-storm as it passes tonight. Otherwise mostly cloudy, warm and humid conditions can be expected with highs in the mid-80s.

Sunday: It will be a much cooler and breezy day behind the front with temperatures starting in the low 60s and gradually warming to near 70 degrees during the afternoon. An NNW wind of 10-15 gusting to 20 mph will make it feel cooler at times.

Ahead of this year’s pre-season tour of the USA, we take a look at our previous visits to the cities and states Chelsea will be playing in over the summer.

For the third year in a row, Chelsea will be spending our summer on the other side of the Atlantic, as we tour the USA for our pre-season training schedule and a series of matches against British and European opposition.

In total we will play in five different American locations in 2024, four of which have hosted Chelsea games before. The exception is Columbus, where we face Manchester City at the Ohio Stadium, in our first-ever trip to the state of Ohio.

The other four states are all familiar destinations for Chelsea – in some cases we have even played at the same stadium on more than one occasion – and you can find out all about them as we run through our history in each location below.

We are well accustomed to visiting the state of California and this summer will be no exception, as we head to Santa Clara.

The Blues used Los Angeles as a training base two years ago, which came just after the club was taken over by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital and where our owners are based. From there, we travelled around the country for a number of pre-season games.

In 2007, we not only trained in LA, we also played two games there including one against LA Galaxy which was David Beckham’s debut for the MLS side. We also played up the coast at Stanford.

Chelsea returned to California ahead of our Double-winning season in 2009 to play a game against Inter Milan at the legendary Rose Bowl in Pasadena. That World Cup final stadium also hosted us against Liverpool in 2016. On that occasion and ahead of another Premier League-winning season, the Blues players spent days training in LA.

Roll back the years and we played games in the city in 1967 and 1977 too, and we are very much looking forward to our return again this summer.

This year, Enzo Maresca’s side will kick-off our summer tour with a clash against Wrexham in Santa Clara. The game will be played at the Levi’s Stadium on Wednesday, 24 July with kick-off at 7pm local time.

Chelsea return to Indiana this summer having previously played there in 2013, with a trip to Notre Dame part of our pre-season tour schedule.

The Blues will face off against Celtic in what will surely be a mouthwatering spectacle between two giants of British football. The game will be played on Saturday, 27 July and will start at 4pm local time at the Notre Dame Stadium.

We have visited the state of Indiana previously, defeating Inter Milan 2-0 in Indianapolis back in 2013.

Oscar set us on the way to victory at the Lucas Oil Stadium with a stunning curling effort into the top corner, following an incisive break manufactured by Victor Moses.

A cool finish from the penalty spot from Eden Hazard secured the victory, while the Italians were reduced to 10 men in the second half following a bad tackle on John Terry.

Chelsea will return to the mightily impressive Mercedes-Benz Stadium this summer, with a date with Club America pencilled in.

It represents a second successive summer visiting Atlanta, Georgia following last year’s clash with Newcastle at the same stadium.

Nicolas Jackson opened the scoring for the Blues last summer but we were denied a win on US soil as Miguel Almiron netted an equaliser for the Magpies on his return to Atlanta.

This summer we face Club America of Mexico in Georgia, with the game scheduled for Wednesday, 31 July at 7.30pm local time.

We previously faced Club America in 2022, winning 2-1 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas courtesy of goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount.

We will head to the State of Ohio this summer for the very first time, with the Blues set to face Manchester City in Columbus.

That game will take place at the impressive Ohio Stadium on Saturday, 3 August with kick-off set for 5.45pm local time.

The game will act as a warm-up for our opening Premier League game of the season, when Pep Guardiola’s men head to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, 18 August.

North Carolina

It was only last year that we were in North Carolina most recently, playing in Chapel Hill for the first time, with both our previous visits to the state being to the city of Charlotte.

We defeated Wrexham last summer 5-0, with a brace from Ian Maatsen plus further goals from Conor Gallagher , Christopher Nkunku and Ben Chilwell securing a big win.

Our 2022 trip was a very local tie, as we took on hometown team Charlotte FC at the Bank of America Stadium – a ground we will also feature at this summer, with Real Madrid our opponents in early August.

Raheem Sterling made his first Chelsea outing in that 2022 clash, with American Christian Pulisic opening the scoring. However, Charlotte equalised from the penalty spot with just seconds left on the clock and then came out on top in the resulting shoot-out.

Our previous match at the Bank of America Stadium also ended in a 1-1 draw and penalty shoot-out, against a Paris Saint-Germain side featuring Thiago Silva and Christopher Nkunku in 2015. That time PSG took the lead before Victor Moses levelled, and we ended up winning on penalties when Thiago put his effort wide and then our goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois slotted in the winning kick.

Despite Travis Kelce’s absence from her Eras Tour show in Dublin on Friday night, Taylor Swift still gave a few nods to the NFL player during her performance.

Swift, 34, playfully reenacted Kelce’s signature archer pose while performing “Midnight Rain” off her Grammy-winning album “Midnights” — a nod to the Super Bowl champ’s famed touchdown dance — seemingly telling the crowd at Aviva Stadium that things are still going strong between the pair.

A fan’s recording of the concert shows the singer pretending to use a bow and arrow just after she sings the lyric: “And he never thinks of me / Except when I’m on TV.”

The three-time Super Bowl champion previously spoke about how his signature pose came to be on an episode of his “New Heights” podcast last October.

“I always wanted to do something when I ran out of the tunnel,” the Chiefs player said.

“I’m like, ‘Man, you know what’s really been motivating for me?’ It’s to always dream big [and] always shoot for the stars, so I’m just out there shooting for the stars, baby.”

Tour kick-off times announced - FC Barcelona Barça's 2024/25 summer tour is drawing nearer and Hansi Flick now knows what time he'll be making his debut as coach. The venue is Orlando, the opposition is Manchester City, the date is July 30 and the game kicks off at 7pm local time, which will be 1am the following morning in Central Europe.

FC Barcelona already new they'd be facing Valencia at Mestalla, but we now also know that it will be a Saturday 17 August game at 9.30pm CEST.
