Most people come to Hollywood for its phenomenal beach – an oasis of soft, sugar-white sand, turquoise water, and towering palms that wave quietly in the breeze. In all, the center offers four main trails to explore: South Trail (2.3 miles), Mud Flat Trail (0.3 miles), Fishing Pier Trail (783 feet), and Lake Trail (0.2 miles).

If you'd prefer to see the area by boat, you're in luck! There are five vast boat trails to adventure through and fish in during the center's guided boat tours. Parking, located at the A1A and Sheridan Street, is a breeze. Plus, you won't need to worry about constantly feeding the meter, as there's a set daily fee.

With the brightest of blue skies and shimmering sun, Hollywood didn't need extra brightening. Luckily no one told that to the artists in charge of the Downtown Hollywood Mural Project. A spectacular sight, this unique collection of outdoor murals serves to heighten the city's charm.

From giant whales to robots and the requisite pink flamingos, these incredible curated murals are worthy of every visitor's time. Each one is so fantastic, you'll just have to take photos. So, be sure you have enough storage space on your camera roll.

Spread throughout the downtown core, these murals are organized by the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency and created by artists from across town, the country, and the globe. Their goal is to "enhance and enrich the existing cultural fabric of our community." They succeed in doing just that.

Anniversary Park is set within the heart of Hollywood's historic downtown. A welcome respite from the town's hustle and bustle, this small slice of nature provides big rewards for those looking to unwind. Majestic magnolia and oak trees line the pathways, drooping shade onto those in need of a break from the heat. Visiting this quiet spot is one of the best things to do in Hollywood.

A popular place for local families, the park also offers a small, well-shaded playground. The Marine Environmental Education Center is housed in the historic, two-story Carpenter House at Hollywood North Beach Park . Tucked away at the end of a street in a residential neighborhood lies the beautiful Holland Park. It's much larger than it looks from its inconspicuous entrance and expands along the shores of the Intracoastal Waterway. Walking along the winding trails and wooden boardwalk, it's easy to forget you're in a city. Climb up to the observation deck for a spectacular view.

Then, take a load off on one of the park's many benches, perfectly poised to offer you the most beautiful water views. Keep your eyes peeled for an iguana. You won't have to wait long to spot one, as the park is teeming with these adorable creatures.

Insider's tip: There are multiple boat launches on-site – perfect venues for dropping your kayak or canoe in the water. They're primed for larger crafts as well if you're hoping to head out further afield.

There's more to Hollywood than its spectacular beaches, and the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood gives visitors the perfect excuse to break for some shade.

A contemporary gallery is housed in the Kagey Home , a bright yellow mansion dating back to 1924. Inside, you'll find rotating exhibits of visual arts spanning four ground floor galleries. Upstairs exhibition spaces highlight creations crafted by school-aged students from kindergarten through grade 12.

Satisfy your taste for excitement in Historic Downtown. Characterized by quaint sidewalk cafes, brick-lined walks and six blocks of unique boutiques, shops, art galleries and dozens of excellent restaurants along Hollywood Boulevard and Harrison Street, the pedestrian-friendly environment is the perfect place to enjoy South Florida. What's New on Universal Studios Hollywood's 60th Anniversary Studio Tour in 2024?

NBC Insider took the summer glow-up Studio Tour for its Diamond Anniversary and we've got tips to share!

It's a big year for the Universal Studios Hollywood Studio Tour . In operation since 1964, the tours have evolved massively across six decades, originating with their iconic red and white Glamor Trams to today's multi-car shuttles which wind around the sprawling Universal backlot. 

To celebrate their Diamond Anniversary of the Studio Tour, Universal Studios Hollywood is giving guests lots of new experiences from now through August 11 to get a taste of what the tour was like back in the day mixed with all of its innovations today. 

NBC Insider recently jumped on a tram car to get a first hand perspective on the tour and we've got some tips on how to plan your day at the theme park with the Studio Tour for efficiency.

When should you plan to take the Studio Tour?

The entrance to the Studio Tour is on the Upper Lot of Universal Studios Hollywood. Make a right at The Simpsons  cross section and the dedicated escalators take guests down to the queue for the trams. If you want shorter lines, go earlier in the day. That's the best time to get on trams with less crowds. However, if you're looking for an escape from the sun, the Studio Tour queue is completed shaded and the tour itself keeps you covered even during the hottest times of summer days. 

Know that the Studio Tour is about one-hour long, but the special summer tour will add some extras that may extend your experience beyond an hour. Keep that in mind too if you have other places to be, are hungry or have timed shows to see.

What's different about the anniversary Universal Studio Tour in 2024?

Plenty! Going on a decade now, we're well-versed on all of the minute changes to the Studio Tour which are usually pretty subtle. But this special iteration has whole new routes, a lot of new video material with Master of Ceremonies Jimmy Fallon and Universal Pictures luminaries like Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, Jordan Peele and Jack Black, along with plenty of fresh movie history shared from the mouths of the tour guides.

Since the back lot is a working studio, not every attraction on the Studio Tour route will be available during the week. However, weekends give Studio Tour riders a better shot at seeing all stops because film and television shows are rarely in production on Saturdays and Sundays. That being said, the new route will oftentimes take riders through the city facades, past many of the massive sound stages and standing sets like Little Europe and the Western streets and the flooding street area used in many films and TV shows.

The Courthouse Square is another area of note which features the clocktower from Back to the Future. This tour will feature a DeLorean and Doc Brown to greet you as you pass through. There's a temporary return of the 1976 Runaway Train which used to be part of the Studio Tour and featured warning bells and sirens to scare riders. There's also an amped up Jurassic World section which features a dimensional Tyrannosaurus rex dinosaur and pens holding some cranky Dilophosaurus that screech and roar as you pass by in the tram.

As for attractions that are part of the Studio Tour, riders will still experience Peter Jackson's 3D Kong Island; a newly renovated Earthquake—The Big One attraction that reproduces the effects of a major quake; the Jaws lagoon attack; a ride through Jupiter's Claim from Nope and the 3D enhanced Fast & Furious - Supercharged finale. 

What's at the new step-off point in the middle of the Studio Tour?

Outside of the Halloween Horror Nights Terror Tram experience, this summer's updated Studio Tour is the rare time when riders can get out of the tram to walk amongst the Psycho motel and experience some unique photo opportunities. 

Midway through the tour, the tram will stop at a drop off point at the Bates Motel. There, you can walk amongst movie props, or take a picture next to Marion Crane's car, or an original, fully restored 1964 vintage Glamor Tram. There's also the best place to frame a photo op with the perfectly scaled replica of the Hollywood Sign setup just for this anniversary tour. 

Once you've had your fun in this area, around the corner is an even bigger area of photo ops where you can get yourself sitting pretty between two Fast and the Furious picture cars; cuddle up inside King Kong's fist or proudly reveal your humongous catch of the day, which is a more than life-sized reproduction of the shark in Jaws . 

Things to know as you plan your visit: on less crowded days, you can make the rounds of these photo ops quickly and then hitch a ride back on revolving trams that are ready to pick you up and continue the rest of the tour. On busier days, you will need extra time to queue for each photo op as there will be lines. Regardless, there will be a tram waiting for you to get back on when you are ready. And don't worry, there is cold bottled water available at this stop to purchase if you're feeling hot or thirsty. 

Are there collectibles to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Universal Studios Tour?

Absolutely! Throughout the theme park and in the Universal Studios Store at the entrance, you'll find an array of fun shirts, mugs, magnets, and more emblazoned with vintage art that features the Glamour Tram. There's also a collectible popcorn bucket with Woody Woodpecker at the wheel of the Glam Tram that holds a lot of popcorn you can refill through the day, then take home to remember your trip.

Disney Concerts , Marvel Studios and the Los Angeles Philharmonic are thrilled to announce the premiere of  Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga Concert Experience at the iconic Hollywood Bowl on Friday, August 30 , and Saturday, August 31 . Conducted by the LA Phil’s Music and Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel , the Infinity Saga Concert Experience features the Los Angeles Philharmonic performing the specially created score live to picture. This film concert event will transport audiences on a cinematic journey through the studio’s first 23 films, weaving together the legendary characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) into one story from an all-new perspective. 

Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga Concert Experience  is part of the Hollywood Bowl 2024 Season , which was announced in February.  Tickets are currently available to Hollywood Bowl subscribers and multi-show purchasers. Single-show tickets go on sale Tuesday, May 7 at 10AM PDT at the Hollywood Bowl at  hollywoodbowl.com . Fans who are part of the Marvel loyalty program will receive an email with a presale code to purchase tickets to  Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga Concert Experience  before the single-show on sale for the general public beginning today, May 1 at 10AM PDT . Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga Concert Experience is a one-of-a-kind concert that brings together memorable events, themes, and characters from the MCU. From The Avengers to Iron Man , Black Panther , Black Widow , Thor , Captain America , Captain Marvel , The Hulk , Ant-Man , and more, this unique concert journey celebrates the most beloved characters of the Infinity Saga . 

The concert will take fans on a never-before-experienced film concert journey that showcases some of the most memorable moments from many of the biggest movies of this generation. The scores and songs of Marvels’ Infinity Saga movies will be performed live, bringing together some of the most unforgettable moments of the franchise. This includes the iconic theme from The Avengers  and the show-stopping "Portals" from Avengers: Endgame , creating an engaging and unforgettable experience. The show will also include stunning mapped projections on the Bowl proscenium, taking fans on an epic journey through the MCU.

Rolling Stones bring Hackney Diamonds Tour to Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. - An estimated 45,000-plus Rolling Stones fans eager to hear the "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" packed Camping World Stadium on Monday night.

"Paint it, Black"? More like green. From merchandise to food – vendors were out in full force.

"Lines here today are steady," said William Entz.

Within the first hour, Entz said they sold out of multiple items – proving time [was] on [his] side!

"They’re buying this tour’s merchandise because it may be the last time they tour," Entz said.

Alejandro Corcino and the Mr. Loaded crew Play with Fire at every Camping World Stadium event.

"We’re expecting pretty big sales," Corcino said. "It’s been good so far, you can tell – our line is over here."

Big names draw bigger crowds, Corcino said. That is something the city is working on. 

According to Allen Johnson, chief venues officer for the City of Orlando, they aim to secure additional tourism development tax funding for stadium upgrades.

"These enhancements that we’re talking about for the stadium will make us in the ballgame for some of those shows that have a few more demands," Johnson said.

Johnson said he expects the Stones concert to bring in excess of $22 million.

"We’re happy they’re here, eating at our restaurants, going to our shopping, going to our attractions," Johnson said. "That’s one thing about Orlando – when people come to Orlando, they can make a weekend of it and come to a show Monday night."

"It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll," but Stones fans travel.

"I live in Tampa," said Michael Hall. "I drove all the way from Tampa!"

Meaning plenty of heads in beds – and money spent across the city.

"I’ve seen them in San Francisco, I’ve seen them in Los Angeles, I’ve seen them in London," said Mike Watson. "I try to follow them around."

Some concertgoers were hoping to save a buck.

"We’re looking for two tickets," said James Bakalich. "We’re not broke; we’ve got money; we just don’t want to spend it at the box office and pay Ticketmaster fees."

Others were okay with a premium for prime parking. 

"Our parking can range anywhere from $20 to $70," said Katie Hollerman. "It depends on the event," Colby Hollerman added.

The mother-and-son team said this was the first big event of their busy season, and their lot quickly reached capacity.

"Whooo! [It was] before 3:30," Katie Hollerman said. "It was pretty fast!"

According to Johnson, stadium parking sold out very quickly, but garages in downtown Orlando were open, and free shuttles took concertgoers to and from the stadium.

Camping World Stadium is gearing up for several upcoming events, including the Allstate Continental Clasico USA vs. Brazil on June 12, Def Leppard and Journey joined by Cheap Trick on July 10, and Barcelona vs. Manchester United on July 30.
